Tirzahs Mexi-Terranean

Tried Tirzahs for the first time. This is the El Arabic Taco on a handmade tortilla topped with hummus, steak kebab meat, garlic sauce, cucumber salad, topped with green salsa, and a squeeze of lime. It was bursting with Mediterranean and Mexican flavors. It is a definite must try. I also ordered the cucumber lemonade, which was actually made with limes, so it's a bit tart but overall refreshing. Customer service was exceptional.

We would always drive past Tirzahs and didn't know what it was and after work one day, we stopped in at night and got some food and fell in love. They were so friendly too. Today on a rainy day, we got the carne asada street tacos, LA papas, and a LA burrito with birria and OMG we fell in love all over again. Everything was so flavorful and the fries were still crispy. Highly recommended. Even our picky toddler kept asking for food. Yoni gave a sample of their Cilantro lime wings and it was AMAZING! We immediately pre-ordered some for Super Bowl Sunday ❤️

An interesting fusion of Mexican and Mediterranean food. We tried the Mid-east nachos and the LA Kebab burrito. The order of nachos can be for two people. Chips were fresh and crispy, aioli sauce was so good….all the ingredients made a unique and delicious version of nachos. The meat was a little cold though, but it was still good. The burrito was good but I didn’t care too much for the fries. I originally wanted the El Sereno Torta but they were sold out (so disappointed!) so I had to quickly pick another item to try. The pineapple and horchata drinks were probably the best I’ve had. Overall, good spot. I gave them a four rating cause they ran out of the El Sereno Torta.

Incredible -- what a find , one of the absolute best restaurants in LA, six stars. Steve and Noah provide great service. The sope with Korean BBQ is out of this world. The felafel was on par with Arax -- maybe even better because it's so fresh. We had the kofte burrito too. So dang good, all of it, and the cucumber lemonade and specialty coffee were perfect. I was sad that the east LA Oaxaca - Armenian fusion restaurant on Wabash, Xistou Cafe had closed, and now this place is operating and so good. See them also at the El Sereno night market. Music was great , too!!! Keep up the great work!!!

Tirzahs Mexi-Terranean is a great fast-food alternative! Food is freshly prepared and service is top notch. Outdoor patio seating only, saw many to go orders Monday after 4PM. Small parking lot with plenty of street parking on the industrial side of town. The food was so good! We got 2 korean bbq sopes, 2 asada street tacos, 1 korean bbq street taco, 1 esquite, and 1 cucumber lemonade. All of it just CHEFS KISS ! Service wasnt bad but wasnt the best but only because i wouldve appreciated if i gotten my drink when i ordered it as oppose to at the end with all my food. The couple behind me got their drinks when they ordered; after 15 minutes they also received their food and i waited another 7 or so minutes. :/ the bag also wasnt properly tighten so the esquite at the top slipped and all the juiced leaked out :c

My food was delicious. I would come again. But not often. It is a bit pricey for one person. There is no seats to eat inside and I was cold 😬 during lunch, afternoon time. My food was getting cold pertty quick outside 🫤. But over all it is a good place to come eat some tasty and delicious food. The watermelon juice would be delicious with less sugar or more water to reduce sugar taste.

Yum! Just got back from this fun and delicious place! First of all, the location may not be the best, but you can park right out front on the street. It closes early, and you probably want to get here while the sun is still up. This isn't gimmicky. This is goooood Mexican food (San Diego style?). But, you can get some Middle Eastern flavors ANNNND you can also get Korean BBQ (bulgogi?) mean in your burrito! I missed the sign before I ordered, so I will have to be back. Just about everything on the menu looks tasty and many items are unique. With that said, the fish taco was outstanding and is as good as you are going to find. Will be back!

All outdoor seating. Seems like mostly a Togo, order ahead of time place. Small parking lot and street parking. Several meat options and two vegan. I tried the El Arabic with kofta which was my least favorite but still pretty good. 3.5/5 Super street taco with kbbq adada - best one by far, both the meat and overall design. 4.5/5 Queso Birria - was a bit too gamey for my taste but the cheese is a nice touch. 4/5 Outside seating was super windy and cold so took it too go. Also on a big street so can be noisiey.

I've only had the classic burrito(chicken) no beans.... And that lil mama is quite filling. I love the purple onions as it befits this type of burrito and the flavor is a chef's kiss. Glad to have found this gem and kudos on such filling and tasty food.

Glad I stumbled onto this food shack, will definitely come back! They do have a small private parking lot but you may need to park on the street. They have a few tables along the side if you plan on dinning there. Street Taco with handmade corn tortilla was great. Tortilla is soft and not too dense. Korean BBQ was tender and flavorful. Grilled Chicken wasn't dry at all and had a nice smokiness. Esquite by far the best I've had from a restaurant. They make theirs with whole fresh corn they cut of the cob. Corn texture is crisp and juicy. Jamaica wasn't too sweet. LA Kebab Burrito - saucy and so good! Didn't even need any salsa. We ordered it with Steak and it did not disappoint. Steak was juicy and tender. Sopes Plate - all the topping paired well with each other, chef's kiss. Sope itself wasn't dry or too dense. Chicken Kebab Plate - huge portion. Chicken was juicy, tender and flavorful throughout. Pita Bread was soft, fluffy and chewy with some slight grill and almost buttery taste. I could eat like 5 of those pita breads! Rice was done well. LA Papas - more meat than fries which I'm not complaining about. Fries stayed crispy underneath all the toppings even taking it to-go 20 minutes home. We chose Carne Asada, juicy and tender.

I loved the food at the previous location so I was excited to try it at this one. I ordered the esquites and el sereno torta. Both were absolutely delicious! I'm a bit picky so I got my torta with just carne asada, beans, cheese, and sauce but it was still so full of flavor. The food is very filling. I ate half the torta and half the esquites and left the rest for dinner. The restaurant is in a sort industrial area with a small parking lot and plenty of street parking. There's only outdoor seating but it's very clean and it's in a covered patio. The person who took and gave me my order were both very nice. I am looking forward to my next visit so I can try other things off the menu.

Been a fan of Tirzas food since she was at the other location by Chinatown. One of the most bubbly and friendliest person ever! I pretty much have tried everything and nothing has ever disappointed. I would of never discovered this place if it wasn't for IG.. glad I did because I've like it so much, I have even gotten Esquite Corn in a catering tray, that's how much I like it and wanted co workers to try it. Every Agua Fresca is good.. the Birria is a must as well!!!... Sopes!.. Pozole!!.. I can go on and on.. try it and thank me later!

I love these burritos. The LA burrito has fries in it and falafel option. The people who work here ate nice and it has a patio to dine in on a busy industrial street that somehow makes it cool in a stefan SNL way.

Damn y'all, this place deserves a Michelin star! Normally you go to a place and one thing is good from the big menu, but not Tirzahs, everything is delicious on their menu! From their watermelon and cucumber agua Fresca to their salsas for the kebab burritos and torra. Next time I'm trying their falafel plate. Btw their esquite is a must try for a side on your plate! Thank you Tirzah and staff for being very attentive and satisfying us! Tables in the front are perfect for dining in and sitting down with a delicious plate of food el sereno is lucky to have them in the city!

The best burrito I have had in LA! I recommend the classic burrito with crema and Korean bbq meat. The pineapple agua fresca was awesome too!

Food is amazing!!! You won't go wrong with ANYTHING you get there. But my go toooo is the Torta!!!! Their coffee is Perfect. You HAVE to also get their refreshing cucumber lime water! (Truth is all there flavors are great, this one is just my favorite) the service is impeccable no complaints Steve, Noah, and Tirsa and Jonathan (I think that's his name lol) are absolutely fantastic, kind, sweet and extremely professional and fun! The ambiance is very humbling. Well worth my trip EVERY SINGLE TIME! I promise you won't go wrong with their food! Also check out her IG she makes amazing, funny videos. lol love you guys!!!

I love Tirzahs! As a vegetarian her jackfruit carnitas sopes, burritos, tortas are gold. My husband and I love this place!

What a wonderful concept! The food is incredibly flavorful, and the small outdoor ambiance is great, especially the playlist! It's not every day you can choose "esquite" as a side with a falafel plate. Highly recommend!

Food was delicious flavorful and well served Staff was friendly and attentive first time coming and definitely will be returning. Reason for a four star unfortunately they don't have high chairs or booster seat for children so it was hard trying to eat with a toddler and seating is outdoor wasn't prepared for the windy weather Other then that give them a try they have a variety of options

Amazing comfort food with great vegetarian options. I like the jackfruit burrito and the falafel tacos (I am picky about falafel not being too dry and these are definitely not). I am still looking forward to trying the Chiles rellenos but they sell out quickly. The owners and staff are so nice. The vibe is very casual and friendly. There's a small outdoor seating area where dogs are welcome. Parking is limited.

This place is soooo good, my friend Octavio recommended this place at work and I have been hooked ever since. I live in Whittier but I seriously would drive to this place on my day off if I was craving it. The Korean bbq beef is my favorite but everything I have had so far has been delicious. I got the sopes today with kbbq chicken, esquite, and cucumber salad on the side. 10/10!!! The workers are so sweet! Good vibes!

Food was delicious! Their triple shot latte and horchata was amazing. They're attentive, fast, and overall great customer service. Made us feel comfortable and at home. Highly recommend!

Staff were nice and accommodating, we ordered "for here" but the limited seats filled up quickly. The staff went out of their way to set up an extra table for us to sit on the sidewalk/curbside. They said they normally set up extra seating on the weekend. The food was delicious. Anyone that makes homemade corn tortillas gets an extra star. My favorite was the taquito de papa- good flavor and the potato felt airy. The salsas weren't spicy so don't be afraid to pour them on. The aqua de sandia was a bit sweet but the cucumber lemonade was a good mix of sweet/tart.

Such good food!!!! We saw a post about this place on IG and knew we had to try it out. Staff are super friendly and ready with suggestions. We got the Kebob plate to share and it was large enough for both of us to feel satisfied. The chicken was cooked through without being dry. The rice and cucumber salad were of flavor and that esquite was so delicious and a strangely good side for the chicken and rice. Try an agua fresca mixed with all flavors available. So refreshing. Located on a busy, commercial street but they have parking for 4-5 cars, as well as street parking. Outdoor seating is available but to-go is always an option.

Did take out. Never heard of the place and we had many items and all were great. I had the Kebab burrito with chicken. So damn good. Lots of food. Happy my niece lives nearby so I have an excuse to eat here again. Only a few outside the tables so it might be full at meal times.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Highly Recommend! Tirsa, the owner, is such an amazing person! She makes you feel welcomed and like we're old friends! Her food is soooo TASTY! My favorite is the Tacos Dorados de Papa! They are my All Time Favorites (aside from my Mama)! Her salsas are also soo tasty and spicy!

Been here three times now and each time I'm left whispering to myself "this is the best thing ever" as I'm eating. I think my favorite so far has been the sopes but also tried the chile relleno burrito and the torta and they are so good. I've only ordered to go but they do have a few outdoor tables. It takes them a bit of time to make the orders but that's fine just call ahead it's very easy to do so. And if you're waiting for your food there's good music blasting so you're not bored ever.

This place is very much a gem with some DELICIOUS food. You can't go wrong with the LA Kebab burrito or the torta, the nachos are also great. They don't skimp on quality or quantity. The owners are always kind, I've had no issues calling ahead of time and picking up. Outside the patio tables are usually filled (probably bc the food is bomb and not super expensive). Glad that Tirzah's picked el Sereno for its new home!

I really wanted to like this place so I'd have a close Mediterranean restaurant but in all honesty, I did not have high hopes for this place. After reading the reviews I knew it would be a better bet to stick to the Mexican dishes and that's what I did. The recommendations for the watermelon/pineapple agua fresca were on point. Definitely get this. The birria taco was nothing to write home about. It was ok but Trader Joe's birria is better and I made a tastier taco than this at home with TJ's birria. The Korean street taco was a definite no for me and I love Korean bbq. Something about the flavor was overpowering and my tastebuds did not like the combo. The flavors simply were not synergistic. If you've read other reviews of mine, you know I always try refried beans when available. Again, nothing to come back for. Something was missing in the flavor. The fish tacos and the kebab plate were not ordered by me. I posted the fish tacos so you could see what they look like but I did not try them. I did, however, sample a bite of each item on my friend's kebab plate. This is another pass for me. My idea of Mediterranean food are the likes of Darya, Raffi's and Carousel. This place does not even begin to compare. My friend who ordered the plate is not as picky as me and she didn't even take more than a few bites. Perhaps this is attributed to the fact that one of the owners is Egyptian and not Persian/Armenian so the items drastically differ from my preferences. Kudos to the owners for being super nice though. I really wanted to like this place more but I don't want to mislead my readers with false reviews.

Drove out to Tizrahs from the high desert because their food looked so delicious online and indeed it was! I ordered a Korean bbq L.A burrito and it was full of flavor. My husband ordered their asada fries and an esquite and I also had to pick at that because it was just too delicious for him not to share! The quality of taste is versatile among their variety of dishes. The service was A1! The staff was friendly and informative about questions we had regarding their menu. They have outdoor seating which was surrounded by shade and trees. Overall 5 stars, we'll definitely be returning in the future.

The food here is very delicious. I highly recommend!! I ordered the LA burrito with grilled chicken. That was sooo good!! I brought my wife who's Middle Eastern and she was so excited to try the LA kebab burrito. She said the pickled onions and cucumbers, were perfect and the seasoning on the kofta was perfect. This is coming from a girl who has eaten this her whole life homemade by her mom. The service was excellent. The only thing is expect a little bit of a wait, but it's totally worth it.

Amazing food!!! I got the Mid East Nachos and they were delicious. The combination of toppings was perfect. The chips were nice and crispy. My boyfriend got the chicken kabob plate and he loved it. Strawberry horchata was also amazing. Takes a while for the food but it is well worth the wait. Great service and nice set up that they have. Will definitely be going back

My brother just moved into the area and we were picking up food to bring by his place. Looked at the map and saw this place. Great reviews so I had to try it myself. We ordered the LA Burrito, the LA papas, the El Sereno torta and the kabob plate. It took maybe 20 minutes to get our food but it didn't disappoint. The burrito was massive. The asada was tender and the flavors were amazing and it even included French fries. The asada torta was savory and delicious but did start to fall apart. The chicken fries were loaded with meat and included guac, pico and sour cream. And the kabob plate was awesome, filing and comes with an extra side. It was just a little spicy and we had ordered it for the girls so just keep that in mind. The place is a small stand with minimal seating so it's best to order ahead and get it to go. So glad I tried this place and I know we will be going back again when we are in the area!

This is a Must Try! Our school usually orders for us on Wednesday's and I've never been disappointed. I've tried a few of her menu items and so far the Super Kebab Plate, Torta and Esquite have been my Favorite. The rice, hummus and chicken are very flavorful, sizes are pretty big and definitely shareable. I've tried both the salads and they both hit the spot! Add chicken for an extra kick. The cilantro lime dressing is soo yummy! I've never been to the actual location but would love too just to try the green pozole. I wish it was available everyday :( If you have IG follow them the lady is super funny and she keeps you updated. Can't wait to try her burritos give them a shot! You will not be disappointed at all. Omg I came here for a been and cheese burrito and they serve them with rice and I said leave it out and omg fire and big plus the owner was there and she's a spark she's heels cool and friendly.. all N all I will be come back cuz that tostada salad looks fire and omg don't let me forget get their aguas frescas are fire

Our tacos were so delicious. We came across this booth at a salsa festival in downtown LA. The service was good. I met Margarita. She was very nice and thanked us for our order. I had the Birra Tacos! They were delicious and juicy. And the potato taco was also good for salsa was fire! Thank you for making our salsa event even more delicious !

Okay, listen- look, LOOK HERE: I have lived in this neighborhood for 35 years. I have been to all the restaurant this places used to be. TIRZAH'S IS AMAZING! And it needs to STAY! I loved walking over here because we're talking DELICIOUS food. The tacos, amazing. The sopes, amazing. The aguas? ¡FRESCAS! The Mid-East nachos?? OMG. I love classic nachos, but the mid-east nachos put a twist on the classic dish that I didn't expect to work but it DOES. Sometimes I just order that as a meal for myself. I'm telling you that this is gem and I am so happy they landed in this neighborhood They have great and friendly service. You'll have to wait for your food, so just wait. It's worth it, because delicious food takes time-PERIOD. The ambiance is chill cuz its a little patio with a handful of seats. It's not luxurious, but that's not the point. You ordered Tirzah's because you were really hungry and needed a new kind of comfort food in your life. So enjoy!

I was a little skeptical, I'm not going to lie but I love Mexican food and I love Mediterranean food as well and I knew the flavors would go perfectly together. I was NOT disappointed. I got the loaded LA kebab burrito with kofta and it was packing with flavor! The salsas were perfect to add the spicy kick to every bite and the tzatziki was a great addition to freshen everything up. Highly recommend this place! I'm going back for the Fried Greekadillas! Order ahead of time through Yelp to get your food faster : )

We've been meaning to try Tirzahs since they moved to El Sereno and by recommendation of a neighbor we decided to finally give it a go. We ordered the Carne Asada Tostada salad, Fried Greekadillas, Esquite, Carne Asada Papas and Pineapple agua fresca. The food exceeded all expectations and it quickly became the highlight of our day. You can tell that every single plate is made with quality ingredients, love and care. We couldn't believe how good the food was and how fresh it tasted. Everything was extra fresh and perfectly placed in the to go containers. We will definitely be coming back as we wanna try everything in their menu. Highly recommend giving this place a try! 10/10 and I'm letting all my friends and neighbors know about this spot! Update: also tried their Asada Sope, Birria La Papas and Mid-East Salad and they are all amazing !!

First time coming here and will definitely be back for more. the service is great and has great music playing outside. The classic burrito is definitely worth its price and the salsa that comes with it is the perfect amount of flavor and spice.

Incredible feel-good Mexican food, they even have vegetarian and vegan options which I'm of course here for. I got the Torta and enjoyed every bite. People are so helpful and friendly, location is just off the main road so convenient, great vibes here. I've followed them on IG for a while and enjoy their posts, had their catering at events, so glad I got to go to their location!

Love the food, been following them since it was just Tirza's near dtla. They changed the menu a bit but it all still tasty can't go wrong with this place.

I had them deliver my torta and chicken kebab plate. It was here in a timely manner and the food was delicious! My daughter and I enjoyed it. She usually will not eat something if it's not good but she finished her torta which tells me a lot lol I love that they offer a mix of two different kinds of food

My wife, son and I tried Tirzahs. We ordered two LA burritos with chicken and a carne asada torta. The burritos and tortas were all very delicious, really well prepared and packed perfectly to-go. The orders came with a choice of salsas - we chose the green medium spicy salsa - also very good. We also ordered aqua frescas (one watermelon and one cucumber lemonade) which were refreshing. Food prep time was about 10 minutes. The place was essentially a stand with a few tables where music played over a speaker in the corner and a parking lot next to it. I'm looking forward to return visits to order what we had again and try other items on the menu.

They have great food, absolutely big portions that are worth the price, their service is super friendly and they make you feel very welcome. The ambiance is definitely family oriented and is perfect to eat your food there or just pick up and go I became a loyal customer since they moved to El Sereno

The food and service is Amazing !! I ordered the super kebab plate and burritos and drinks are great too , it's a must try ! I will be coming back when ever I'm in the area , I highly recommend this place. I came here on my recent trip from the Bay Area to LA let's just say 3 out of my 4 day trip I ended up getting food here I had their esquite, queso birria tacos, sope, Chile relleno torta & LA burrito... (through out the 3 days not all at once lol) let's just say... no crumbs were left. The quality of the the meat and food is great. I got ZERO fatty pieces in my meat which for me is a make or break ...you can honestly tell the food is made with love. The horchatas reg & strawberry were honestly the best I've ever had. I hope this business continues to thrive. It definitely lives up to the hype.

Came here for the first time yesterday before the dodger game. Ordered a kabob plate, the LA fries and some quesabirria tacos. Everything was absolutely outstanding! Friendly service as well. They have some outdoor seating also with some good music playing on the speakers. I will definitely be coming back. 100% gem of a place. I can't wait to try their chile relleno burrito

Really enjoy this place. Food is really tasty, a good blend of Mexican and Mediterranean flavors with large portions. I'd say that Tirzahs leans more heavily on the Mexican side of the Mexi-Terranean compared to X'tiosu, a similar spot nearby in Boyle Heights. The vibe is nice with outdoor seating on the patio. Also helps that I live nearby. Love the food.

The food was really tasty, the only reason I'm giving it a bad review because when I went for the first time the place was relatively slow yet my order took really long to come out. I ordered a torta and esquite to go and the employees forgot to add my esquite in my bag. When I got home I realized it was not in my bag with the torta. I called and told them they forgot to add my esquite and the employee said he remembered me and he acknowledged that he forgot to add the esquite. I was going to let it go because I was already home after realizing all this but then I thought to myself the food was pretty expensive to just let go a $7 esquite behind. So I drove back to pick it up and the employee simply handed me the bag didn't even look me in the face or say sorry. Not even offered a refund because I essentially had to drive all the way back to pick up the esquite he forgot to put in my bag the first time. For this being my first time here the service was disappointing.
