"A Walla Walla staple for almost 20 years, TMACS is beloved by Walla Wallans and visitors alike. Chef José Mesa keep things simple on the Italian-inspired menu, with a commitment to local, quality ingredients in items like seafood risotto and agnolotti stuffed with ricotta, goat cheese, mushrooms, and truffle. Having started out down the street as T Maccarones in 2005, the restaurant underwent a move and a rebrand in 2019, and the modern new space is stunning, especially the fabulous bar with perhaps the best happy hour in town." - Stephanie Forrer

The drinks were very good. Everyone around us was enjoying the experience as well. The host was a bit weird about us being seated at the bar on our own, without them moving drinks away first. Then another person was asking for a drink and they told him they couldn't serve him at the bar unless he was sitting??? The drinks and dessert are good. The chocolate cake was impossibly rich, but delicious. The whole menu looks fabulous but we only got drinks & sweets. The one bartender got into a big whiskey discussion with someone who wandered in, and stopped working entirely. It was DEFINITELY interesting for people watching, for sure! Overall, good experience, but staff were distracted.

We made a reservation during the end of February when they were running those 3 course specials. They ran out so we considered leaving. I am so glad we didn’t. The food was phenomenal. Our waiter was very kind and explained the menu well. It’s not overpriced at all. Truth be told we went back a week later to do it all over. Seriously an amazing experience.

Google
Beautiful restaurant, located at the edge of downtown and an easy walk if you are strolling the downtown area. A small but curated menu of unique and special dishes, perfect. An equally impressive menu of special cocktails. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable dining area. Very friendly and helpful staff. The pork belly sandwich was perfectly prepared and so delicious. The side salad was the perfect companion. The lamb burger was delicious and the aoli dip for the fries was amazing. A great dining experience from start to finish.

Google
Consistent and stellar service on Colville Street in Walla walla. Best thing has to be by far the drinks!!! Food is great- but the Piso old fashioned is 1000% worth it!

Google
Wonderful dinner. The food was sublime with nuanced flavors that truly expressed how they came together without overpowering. Lobster Mac and Cheese was the best we've ever had and is how lobster should be used to highlight the dish without the cheese overpowering it. Brussel sprouts salad was the highlight of the table. A MUST order. Highly recommend.

We had dinner reservations for a bachelorette dinner and it was not at all what I expected. We chose this restaurant for the fairly priced menu, and the atmosphere (sophisticated, chic, etc). Unfortunately, the service we experienced really ruined everything for us. Our reservations were at 7 so it was not busy at this time, and the best service we had was the host that sat us at our table… from there it was all downhill. We waited an hour for our food, and during this time we were almost accidentally handed two different dishes for other tables. Our waiter never checked in on us to give us any updates. Finally, after waiting for over an hour, the bride to be got up to see what was going on. Two of the girls finally got their dishes, but the rest of us were still waiting (there were 5 of us total). After waiting another 30 minutes, the rest of the meals came out. I suggested that they at least comp the brides meal to make it right and instead they gave us a complimentary bottle of wine which the waiter said retails for $200 (we looked it up and it’s a $40 bottle of wine). The waiter was speaking very fast and seemed off, and when he picked up one of our finished wine classes he sniffed it. The whole experience was very bizarre and was handled very poorly, so for this reason alone I would not recommend this restaurant.

Google
This should really be a 4 star review as the food was very good. We were there during happy hour and the prices were excellent ($10 for my salmon fish cakes). We sat at the bar and my moan is that they wanted rid of us asap after finishing our food. I was presented with the cheque without being asked if I wanted anything else eg dessert or maybe a nice whisky. I still had over half a pint left and just felt they wanted rid of us.

Google
Awesome outdoor seating, friendly and attentive staff. Someone was there within seconds, when our water got low, or we finished a course. New silverware brought out. Very knowledgeable and helpful. The food was delightful, so many different sensations, with taste combos and flavors. The drinks were also incredible. Loved the ambiance, food and care given. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Wonderful ladies birthday luncheon. We all loved our delicious salads and then came dessert. Some had coconut crème brûlée and others had the cheesecake. Here Arnold Palmer drinks were so good because their lemonade is homemade. My friend is a foodie and this is her favorite place to eat!

Yelp
The seared ahi tuna dish is absolutely delicious, not to mention a stunning presentation. I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors and the crunch of the plantain chips - and an absolute steal during happy hour for only $10! I don't know if I'll ever find myself in Walla Walla again (the town itself is meh) but I will fondly remember this standout culinary gem. Kudos to the chef!

Yelp
What an incredible restaurant! Everything was phenomenal-drinks, food, and the service. Our server was so attentive and our drinks came out so quickly which was impressive for a Saturday night on a holiday weekend. Everything we ordered was excellent-from the soup and salad, Brussels sprouts, steak, and the bolognese. I would definitely go back!

Brandon M.

Yelp
We visited Walla Walla from Seattle and didn't have super high expectations for the food and wow were we wrong. The great experience at TMACS started right when we walked in and the host greeted us and was just so nice and welcoming. We ordered and got drinks quickly, then had brussels sprouts, strawberry salad, asparagus soup, steak, and bolognese. I'm not over exaggerating when I say everything was perfect (ok the bread they brought us and don't charge for was bland but it was free!). Service was great, ambiance was delightful, food was amazing, drinks were top notch, really a great place to have dinner. :)

Helicopter H.

Yelp
Isaac was our server. The food was excellent and I appreciate that they brought a clean fork with the entree. Thanks, we will come again!

Kelly M.

Yelp
Prices were rediculous for what they served. My cocktail was only about 1/3 full. I guess the pretty glass was supposed to make up for it.

Kimberly T.

Yelp
This restaurant was absolutely amazing. The food, the service, and ambience were all working together to deliver such a beautiful, eating experience. We ordered the Brussels sprouts salad which was shared. It was definitely shareable, especially on the lunch menu then we ordered the Wagyu burger and the pastrami Reuben sandwich. Both sandwiches came with fries which were delicious. You could tell that the fries were fresh cut which is why they were so good . Both sandwiches were super good. We really enjoyed them and I do recommend this restaurant for anyone who is visiting Walla Walla.

Debbie H.

Yelp
I had the Lobster Mac & Cheese - it was very good! The service was very attentive. They provide grilled bread and olive oil if you request it. A good time by all 6 of us!

Lauren M.

Yelp
Dinner Menu is great Ambiance is great - def prefer sitting upstairs along the balcony bc it makes date night feel very intimate & private. Our server recommended everything and we loved it all! Make a reservation if something is going on in town!

Todd B.

Yelp
DON'T trust their Resy reviews. We complained about our meal served on 5/23/24 at 6:30pm and received an email from Resy that our reservation was cancelled at 7:46 pm. Resy only will post reviews from people who actually ate there. Nice trick TMACS!!! Subpar, lukewarm seafood risotto was served with multiple ingredients substituted or missing. No receptacle provided for empty clam shells (one of the sustitutions) I was contacted by the owner of TMACS who offered a refund for my meal. That was a nice gesture, but it still seems to me that RESY reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. If the only people allowed to review a restaurant are those that dined through reservations on the RESY system and a restaurant deletes your reservation after the fact, how can you trust the ratings? The owner also stated that only the owner of the restaurant receives the RESY review. If that is true, how does RESY create a rating? Does the restaurant owner choose their own rating? huh?

Yelp
Amazing happy hour in Walla Walla. Have also been here for perfect pasta and seafood dinner with excellent wine pairings. A must visit!

Dionsai R.

Yelp
Was very cute and modern atmosphere! Food and wine was great! Service was supreme. Can't wait to go back on my next visit to town!

Scotty L.

Yelp
Came to TMACS with some friends - unfortunately we didn't make a reservation and the tables were full so we sat at the bar. Bartenders were great - friendly, knowledgable, and fairly quick. They had a nice assortment of liquors and the menu had a variety of options - good for both omnivores and vegetarians. I had ordered Pappardelle Bolognese and it was ok - the food definitely took a long time though- we were there for probably almost an hour waiting for our food after we had ordered. I wish I could have tried some of the other items on the menu, but we had already spent more time stopping by for dinner than we had anticipated. If you like rum I'd recommend getting the Bumbu and if you like tequila I'd recommend getting La Gritona. TMACS has been the only restaurant/bar that I've seen that carries these two liquors - I'd come back here for some drinks or happy hour with friends.

Yelp
A truly hidden gem off the Main Street strip and the prices are extremely affordable but the meals have an expensive taste!! The wait staff are incredible and knowledgeable about their food. Great service, great meal, great time highly recommend!! Thank you Lexi and Gianna

Trisha B.

Yelp
One of the best places to eat in Walla Walla. It's a fun, swanky, city vibe with a fantastic menu. Dishes are flavorful and the presentation never disappoints. They have a terrific wine list/cellar and a full bar for cocktails. Service is always exceptional. I have dined here for years and always had a wonderful meal and dining experience. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Oh TMACS, May the 4th was a bright light to an otherwise cold and raining spring night in Walla Walla. This was our second time back to this beautiful space in the downtown area and we enjoyed every course presented. Let's start with the cocktails - two versions of an old fashioned and a delightful concoction celebrating a favorite movie of mine - all were unique and delicious. Next up was the mushroom bruschetta - I would gladly have this again and instead pair it with a favorite red wine from the from one of the great wineries this area has to offer. Then we had the strawberry celery salad which was refreshing and a nice change from our go-to Caesar. The final two main courses were a shrimp and scallop dish dressed in a light and flavorful sauce that had a hint of Thai curry and Bolognese with house made pappardelle pasta were a nice way to finish our meal. Our servers were top-notch and provided us with clean dishes and sliver ware with every serving which was a nice way to try every dish so that the unique flavors stood on their own. We are looking forward to come back next year to see what else TMACS and there wonderful staff have to offer.

Yelp
We were visiting from Seattle. First time for us in Walla Walla and we went to this place based on a friend's recommendation. We LOVED this restaurant!!! They had a pianist playing some good music, ambience was just right, service was excellent (staff super friendly), and of course I'm giving this a 5-star rating because the food was delicious (extra points for presentation too)! We had 3 appetizers for the table: calamari (good), English pea bruschetta (surprisingly a nice delight given Im not a big fan of peas), and the seared ahi (wow- the combination of ingredients and flavors here! Love it! You don't want to miss out on this dish). In addition to main meals: Mediterranean mussels (also a surprisingly good meal..I wasn't sure at first how the addition of basmati rice would be in the this but again all the flavors together were just right! Great for spicy lovers) and the lamb chops (I didn't try it because I was stuffed at this point but our colleague who had it definitely enjoyed it). Highly recommended place! Prices good! Make sure to visit if you're in town :D Check out a few images of the plates below.

Yelp
Great ambiance.. good lighting and sound level. Lexie, our server, was terrific! Helpful and enthusiastic. Great salad and calamari appetizers.. pasta dishes delicious.. bolognese and agnolotti. Definitely worthwhile!

Sandy L.

Yelp
Really good pasta Pappardelle & Bolognese, but for an Italian restaurant they had a very limited lunch menu. Definitely would return next time in Walla walla. My friend had the Brussel sprout salad and loved it.

Denise Z.

Yelp
The ricotta stuffed agnolotti and my husband's bolognese were fabulous. I cannot remember the name of our dessert, but it was a perfect ending to our meal. The wine selection is extensive as is the bar menu. Next time we'll do happy hour.

Kassidy R.

Yelp
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at TMACS. Not only was it Valentines Day, but it was our first time dining at this particular restaurant. The service from our waiter and the other staff members who served us was wonderful. So nice, accommodating, knowledgeable, and our waiter gave us great suggestions which made our experience that much more memorable. The restaurant was beautiful, which made for great photos. The food was down right incredible. We shared the Brussel Sprout Salad which was delicious. I would compare that salad to a dish I had in a restaurant in Brooklyn, NY last year. I had the Agnolotti, which was again outstanding. My husband had the Beef Tenderloin, which was a little too rare for his liking, but he did eat practically the whole thing. We finished with the huckleberry cheesecake, which my husband said was the best dessert he ever had. Needless to say, our experience was terrific and we will choose TMACs over some of our "go-to" restaurants in Walla Walla. We will be recommending TMACs to everyone! We are already planning another night out, just to come back!

Yelp
Always excellent food and service. Nice variety of menu options. Good atmosphere. Everything is clean and pleasant.

Laura C.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! I highly recommend for a nice dinner night out. I love the atmosphere here and the service is top notch. Food never disappoints. Highly recommend for a date night or even just a nice evening out. The cocktails are delicious and they have a wonderful menu as well.

Caroline S.

Yelp
Great food and the service was top notch. gluten free knowledgeable and their gluten free pasta was amazing, highly recommend.

Chris B.

Yelp
I thought the food was delicious, my Old Fashioned was great, and the service was excellent. I would gladly recommend TMACS when looking for a great place for dinner in Walla Walla, especially after a day of wine tasting.

Peter M.

Yelp
Great food, great service, yes I recommend this restaurant. Location to downtown is great. Prices are right. Wine is delicious. Desert menu is superb. Try everything.

Rick S.

Yelp
We stopped in here during a road trip for happy hour. I can't remember the bartenders name, but he was a charming young man and a great mixologist. The drinks here are stellar! We also partook in the antipasto plate for an appetizer, the cheese that comes with this plate is outstanding! This place is a great experience, go check it out!

Jordan Nicole S.

Yelp
Ambiance was very cozy and upscale but not snobby. I ordered the ahi tuna to start and would say this was a 10/10 dish!! Then had the Branzino for dinner which was also wonderful. All very flavorful and balanced. Finally I finished my meal with the coconut crème brûlée. Perfectly light and sweet with a touch of coconut that was just divine. Overall perfect meal and the service was attentive and gave great recommendations. Definitely a great treat of a meal.

Maureen H.

Yelp
Excellent experience on this visit. Every meal in our group of eight received rave reviews. Cocktails were creative. Great local wine list. Service has drastically improved. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a higher end meal.

Mindy P.

Yelp
This is the best meal I've eaten in 2 years. And, yes, I have eaten out. My husband and I are visiting from outside Portland for some wine tasting. We arrived without a reservation for tonight and reviews brought us to TMACS. We sat in the bar -- upscale, nice ambiance. Camas was our bartender. The staff takes their job seriously. They appear to know the mission and carry it out. Camas makes a MEAN craft cocktail and takes his job seriously. We tried the strawberry rhubarb Manhattan. Delish! Not sweet...subtle. The strawberry presented in the finish. We ordered the wild chanterelle bruschetta, the Brussels sprout salad, and the black cod. Each dish made me want to order everything on the menu. The flavors played off each other interestingly and flavorfully. The textures were diverse. Together, each dish was the perfect version of itself. I can't imagine eating anywhere else this weekend! I actually had the thought, "could I maybe live here?" Best meal in two years. This chef belongs in Portland or San Francisco. Well done, Walla Walla.

Jake A.

Yelp
Delicious as always. Great staff, good drinks! Beautiful patio! Always enjoy this place when I'm in town! Recommend over and over again!

Steve A.

Yelp
First off, a shout out to Caleb. Of the thousands of restaurants we've been to, he's possibly the best server we have ever encountered. What a delight he made our visit, acting as the perfect host. Kudos! TMACS was our best meal during our days in Walla Walla. The food and ambiance were both just what we look for when dining out. There is ample outdoor seating, but we chose to dine inside and enjoy the dramatic interior. The bar and tables surrounding it can be a bit lively, but the upstairs mezzanine is an intimate respite from the activity below. We loved the low lighting levels upstairs, and wish more restaurants were like this. All of the food we had was excellent, with complex flavors and deft plating. Particularly noteworthy were the Local Melon Gazpacho, the Pear Salad, and the Lamp Chops. The wine list focuses on local wines, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you have only one dinner in Walla Walla, this is the place to go.

Julie C.

Yelp
Excellent service and the food is amazing. We had the Butternut Squash Soup, the Bologna Pasta and the Wygu Burger. The soup was so creamy and tasted far better than we expected. The pasta was delicious as well and the burger was large with very good flavor. We are locals as well as foodies and highly recommend this restaurant!

Lauren W.

Yelp
Our waiter was very attentive. We enjoyed the varieties of food. We all ate a little of everything on the table. The gazpacho was so flavorful! Must try. We got the tuna, and it didn't disappoint (I'm a sucker for plantain chips). The bolognese was okay. The noodles were tasty. The Mac & Cheese was the best we'd ever had. Came with a full lobster tail on top!

D M.

Yelp
The food was amazing as was the service and atmosphere. When I'm Walla Walla, it will be our go to place

Conner J.

Yelp
Usually I am really not a big fan of gnocchi but TMACs may be the exception. Most gnocchi has almost no texture and is over sauced. Theirs is a nice mix of seasoned gnocchi mixed with sautéed mushrooms, Cali flour, herbs and cheeses. Overall it makes the texture so much better and the flavor as well. We also got the pear salad which was very fresh and had a great mixture of candied nuts, cranberries and other salad topping that really brought it together. They were nice enough to seat us in a private seating area that had enough room for our large party and had a great atmosphere. That being said, where we were wasn't the exception. It looked like anywhere you say had great atmosphere. Overall I would definitely recommend TMACs for a fancy date or special occasion.

Mj E.

Yelp
Our take out was absolutely wonderful! Terrific Italian food from appetizers to our entrees! We started with an amazing Antipasto plate perfectly packaged by TMACS. Very impressive. (Great gift idea for locals for birthdays, holiday hostess gifts, etc.) Gosh it was delicious.. Loved the assortment of cheeses and meats. Fantastic! On to the entrees: Pappardelle Bolognese. It's a milk braised beef & pork ragu. Lovely. Was very nice. As an Italian, I am quite impressed with what we ate tonight. I think we will go in for dinner very soon. Am anxious to try the Calamari... and Sea Scallops!

Lisa S.

Yelp
We were in town for the weekend for an event that also happened to fall on our anniversary. I picked this place because it appeared elegant and it was close to our Airbnb. Our reservation was for 8:30, realizing it was close to closing but that was because of earlier said event. Their reservation system was pretty neat and they texted me a few times to confirm, said they could get us in earlier but explained why we couldn't and they understood. We did arrive about 15 minutes early and got a table with only one other guest by us. After being told they were out of the Mushroom Bruschetta (no harm there being we were last ones of the day but my boyfriend was sad) we ordered salads, mine the Buratta and his the Garden House. The fried buratta itself was yum but I didn't care much for the kumquat cranberry gastrique dressing. And the prosciutto was just pulled from its package and placed on the bottom of the plate. Not bad, just not what I had envisioned. For the main course I ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese, and he ordered the Wild King Salmon. Both were pretty good. The pasta was rich, I couldn't eat it all. The bummer was his salmon was overcooked and dry in spots, but when he got a good bite he said it was delicious. The gentleman dining alone by us got up to leave and stopped by our table. He raved about this place to us and said we absolutely had to order dessert. We didn't do that though because by the time we were done with our dinner, it was already 10 minutes after closing and we didn't want to be rude. Overall, it was a beautiful restaurant with wonderful service, pretty good food and the price was just right. I doubt we will be back in Walla Walla anytime soon, but if we are, we will stop by for dessert!

Shawniene B.

Yelp
Good quality food and the bartender Isaiah is very friendly. Quiet space, easy to have a conversation with friends.

James A.

Yelp
I would really like to have a meeting with all the people who gave this place less than five stars. I would be delighted to sit down and listen to their nonsense, it will be a unique experience!!! This place is da bomb!!! Service 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Food 11/10 Wine selection 10/10 (Obviously, you won't find Petrus and Montrachet, but he who knows what wine is about, will understand why this place is a 10/10) Surprise factor 10/10 What do I mean by "surprise factor?" Well, I would not have expected such an amazing establishment in the middle of nowhere like Wala Wala. I will definitely be back, even though I live all the way in SOCAL! To the owners, staff and pianist, thank you guys, really, thank you.

Michele H.

Yelp
We ate off the happy hour menu for a late lunch and everything was great! The ahi tuna was the highlight! We sat at the bar and the chairs were comfy and the service was great!

Bob B.

Yelp
Have visited TMACS many times over the years and it's always been great. Have recommended it to virtually every friend who has asked for dining options in Walla Walla. Unfortunately it seems to have tanked. Terrible service kitchen errors, inaccurate orders get a smile and a thumbs up from servers who just don't seem to care. Walla Walla wine capital of Washington ordered a bottle of Syrah and was brought a Merlot blend with no Syrah. Caught that in time. The food that I could eat was delicious but they were supposed to 86 the puréed carrot and berries. Well as can be seen from the picture of the lamb they floated everything in puréed carrots and left out the shiitake mushrooms. Very disappointing for a $200 meal.

Jeff P.

Yelp
The food was amazing I had the calamari for starters and it was, really good. The service was amazing. I did the Resy app and let them know my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and the waiter showed up with two rosé bubblies. The ambience is really laid back and easy going. Waiter was nice attentive and helpful with the menu. I highly recommend the bolognese.

Bruce J.

Yelp
We had a rehearsal dinner for 14 in a dedicated room in June: The pre-planning, the menu, the food and drinks, the ambiance, and the service were all beyond excellent.

Don M.

Yelp
The entire staff was extraordinarily well trained and friendly! The food was delicious and the menu offered a nice array of items. Mike, our server, never missed a beat. He was outgoing, pleasant and always checking in on our experience. First class, Mike! I will return the next time I return to Walla Walla.

Vanessa P.

Yelp
Great food! But it was very expensive, but worth the price. You can't eat there if you want some nice delicious and full of flavor meals for dinner. Definitely recommend!

Katie M.

Yelp
Great menu, food, service, and cocktails. Have never been disappointed. Love the Ahi tuna appetizer.

Arthur L.

Yelp
Elegant, contemporary design, fine dining. Very good service, reasonably priced, but strongly suggest reservations. We were lucky as walk-in's to get the last available table. Enjoyable dining experience.

Mark J.

Yelp
We had a delicious meal. This is our second time we have dined here and both experiences were wonderful. I had the prawns and scallops and the halibut. We will go back!

Jillian E.

Yelp
5 stars for cocktails, appetizers and wonderful staff. Sat at the bar for some cocktails and snacks, bartenders were wonderful, engaged and informational, great cocktails! Both the pea and mushroom bruschetta were delicious. The English pea bruschetta is lighter but very refreshing and flavorful. The mushroom bruschetta is on the richer side but also very very good. Also be sure to check out TMACS market just behind the restaurant. Awesome spot
