TNT Ramen - Review - South Chicago - Chicago - The Infatuation

"TNT Ramen ditches the crowded ramen landscape of the North side and brings their bowls of housemade noodles to South Chicago. They have three types of ramen: tonkotsu, chicken paitan, and vegetable, plus smaller dishes like karaage and cucumber salad." - John Ringor

The food is really delicious - highly recommend the chicken appetizer, very crunchy and the sauce pairs so well. We also loved the yuzu ginger fizz, my fiancé downed it so quickly (to my dismay). I got the chicken ramen with the chili oil and it was delicious. But what sets TNT apart is the service, everyone was so welcoming and the food came out very quickly. Would definitely recommend stopping by!

Amazing new restaurant! Absolutely worth the visit!!!!!!! The cucumber cooler was refreshing and NA. The chicken karaage app and cucumber salad app were both delicious. Chicken was battered and fried lightly so it’s crispy and flavorful. The cucumber uses a crunchy chili oil that brings all the flavors together. The ramen broth is flavorful, and the ramen bowls come full of ingredients. I ended up adding pork shoulder to the veggie ramen (wish I had added the delicious chili oil as well) and it was completely filling. We also got the tonkotsu ramen with extra meat (tender and flavorful but not overpowering), and a veggie ramen add chicken. I like that the base ramen is good on its own and you can continue to customize it to make it perfect to your tastes! The soft serve was such a FUN addition to the meal. And I loved the homemade compote they added here, it should be a staple because it was delicious!!! The design of the restaurant is beautiful and thoughtfully curated. The team is attentive, eager to help and serve, and checked in multiple times. The service feels driven by hospitality and the atmosphere feels positive amongst the team. In a city that has lots of ramen options, this feels completely unique, fun, delicious and makes me eager to come back multiple times!

Warm, friendly atmosphere; fast and professional service; delicious food; great prices and a beautiful space. We ordered the chicken karaage and cucumber salad appetizers, the tonkatsu ramen, the cucumber cooler drink, and the soft serve vanilla ice cream dessert with lemon zest and ginger biscuit crumble. Everything was excellent! So tasty and satisfying -- I'd recommend it to anyone, and I look forward to coming back soon.

I am so excited they finally opened! I’ve been waiting months for a ramen place that’s close to home. They certainly did not disappoint! The staff are all very friendly and eager to help and answer any question, the food in general is super fresh and locally sourced, and the drinks are even fresher! I got the Tonkotsu ramen and it was the best! I appreciate that they let you customize your ramen and add anything you want that’s on another ramen onto your own. Lastly I loved the brulee’d egg, super unique! I will definitely be coming back, thank you!

It was really nice to see a ramen spot in South Chicago, it is truly a blessing to see that kind of change & experience in my neighborhood. I would HIGHLY recommend getting Sebastian as your waiter if you can. Super friendly & super chill, had a good laugh & gives good suggestions on what to eat. I’ll give it a shot! If you have the chance to go.

We were searching for a ramen place on our way home from Chicago when we found TNT Ramen. It was delicious - the ingredients were all so fresh and the staff was amazing. Most importantly, our 5 year old was very pleased with the food. They are also baby friendly 😊

Yelp
I don't think the reviewers were honest. I was so excited to visit a new restaurant in our area. We went for my birthday lunch. I had the vegetable ramen. The broth had no flavor. The presentation was lacking. For a vegetable bowl I was expecting lots of vegetables. The corn looked old. The staff is very nice and attentive but I would not go back. My friend has an appetizer and a bowl. My friend said it was not good and the chicken was undercooked.
