Best Bachelorette Party Restaurants and Bars in Scottsdale, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"If your bridal party opts for dinner at Toca Madera, it likely won’t be the only one — and for good reason. It’s so beautiful that the decor has been featured in Architectural Digest, and a weekend night will delight your group with fire dancers and a live DJ, plus, the lineup of Mexican dishes is delicious. The best part, however, is the drinks —for a personal smokeshow, try the Papasito. Just make sure to make a reservation well in advance." - Jamie Phillis

Toca Madera in Scottsdale is where upscale dining meets nightlife, and our recent visit was short of unforgettable. From the moment we walked in, we were completely taken by the atmosphere—glamorous yet cozy, with flickering fire features, moody lighting, and lush greenery that felt both luxe and inviting. It’s the kind of place that immediately sets the mood for something special. We started the evening with the Green Tea Fire Shot, which lived up to its name—warm, smooth, and the perfect spark to kick things off. Then came the watermelon margaritas with a Tajin rim and watermelon - refreshing with the perfect kick. The food? Absolutely delivered. The sea bass tacos were light, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The Caesar salad was a surprise standout—crisp, creamy, and well-balanced. You can tell everything is made with intention and a focus on bold, vibrant flavor. The energy of the space, with its curated music and live entertainment, made it feel like a full sensory experience—not just a meal. Toca Madera nails that perfect blend of upscale dining and effortless cool. We’ll definitely be back for another round—especially those margaritas.

Four of us, first timers, Sunday June 8th at 3pm for a late brunch. What a heck of a great time! Food was fantastic, cocktails even better, and the whole afternoon was made even more special due to the great service of our waitress, Haley. When we told her we were first timers and asked for suggestions, we quickly offered to order for us! She asked if anyone had any allergies, were okay with certain food types, etc… then put together just the best two hours. Many thanks and great work to Haley and the whole team, we will be back!!

This has to be one of the best experiences I have had at an establishment. The fire show, the live music, the service was excellent and quick. The food was excellent, paired with the ambiance and entertainment make this a must visit. We did a lot of shared dishes and we never had a bad dish. The cocktails were excellent. The Ghost Rider was my favorite.

Honestly blown away by this place. The atmosphere is amazing and the decor is mind blowing. Definitely not a place to bring Littles, more of an adult scene. But honestly top spot to go for date nights or out on the town. Tinga enchiladas, chicken al pastor and truffle mac and cheese. All seasoned beautifully and to die for. Drinks are a papasito and Aqua Fresca. DELICIOUS!!! Our server was Jordan and she was fantastic and super knowledgeable. Will definitely be back!

Google
Our server, Trey, was amazing, which only enhanced our first-time experience. The food was good, everything came out at the right time, and was so yummy! We had the queso fundido, seabass tacos, al pastor, tinga tacos, steak quesadilla for kids, and top sirloin. The guava margaritas are so good! Then we tried the butter cake for dessert - so good! Also, the decor 😍 I could not stop staring at the beams and the skylight ceiling. Such a nice outdoor vibe while being indoors and comfortable when it's hot.

Google
Toca Madera Scottsdale absolutely blew me away! The vibe is unreal—sophisticated, lively, and full of energy. The fire dancers and live music brought an incredible atmosphere that made the night feel like an experience, not just a dinner. Every single dish we ordered was packed with flavor—fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. From start to finish, the service, ambiance, and food were top-tier. Can’t wait to come back

This restaurant’s food and service are great. The atmosphere is beautiful and unlike the Vegas location it isn’t unreasonably loud or dark. My only issue is the value. Although the combination of food/service and atmosphere is unique, it will wear out eventually. You can get similar quality food/service in the valley for 60-70% of the cost. If the food is your top priority, then you can get the same food for 50% of the cost.

Google
I loved the warm and inviting atmosphere—the staff were incredibly welcoming. The Arab-themed dinner show was a unique touch that really elevated the experience. What stood out most was when they played a deeply Arabic song I adore—hearing it outside of my headphones was a surprising and special moment.

Yelp
Came here with friends and had incredible service from our server Gavin!!! 5 star!!! Also had lots of help from security guard tanner! Felt safe and very well taken care of.

Yelp
Came here for brunch today with a bunch of friends from out of town. Service was awesome and the DJ played great music! We definitely will come back and check it out for dinner. Thanks Toca!!

Yelp
This place is absolutely gorgeous! From the double doors as you walk up to the beautiful tree adorned-skylight-different sized tea light having atmosphere.. you're in awe of the decor. This made the experience even better! Why four stars... well service! Everyone was great except our server. He started off ok but something happened during our service and I'm not sure what! We had a party of 6, celebrating marriage as we do monthly! It was a beautiful night. Maybe because we didn't order any cocktails or something?! I don't know but you what.. it doesn't matter. Either way, not on us to make or break the rhythm of the kind of service that should be expected from the waiters. Anyway, I wish him a better night! Always room to improve. Anyway, our food was delicious! I told my husband that the money was well spent. The flavor was bomb! Everything was cooked perfectly. Visiting restaurants here in the valley lately have really been a huge letdown because I just feel like the food quality is not there. And this is actually one of the first times I feel like we actually spent our moneys worth. I would definitely go back time and time again because the food was so good and the experiences were great as far as the decor and majority of the service. Like I said, the only letdown was our main waiter and his attitude. Other than that, everybody was amazing. There was even a flame dancer! And she was so great. It was a beautiful thing to watch while dining . We ordered the guacamole, Branzino, seared salmon, truffle fries, the burger (my friends said this was the best burger they've had in a longtime), street corn, broccolini (seasonal vegetable of the night), tostaditos (short ribs), and wagyu tacos. All in all we had a great time. Even the valet parking young men were happy and nice! You know what, as I write this... I'm gonna change it from four stars to five because it was just a beautifully crafted night and I won't allow the one server out of everybody to bring it down so yeah there's that. So I am actually changing it to five stars as I complete this review. I won't call him out however I just want management to know that I understand servers are human and things happen, but don't take whatever might have happened or happens during the night out on the customers. Take a moment, breathe, focus, lock-in and keep it moving.

Yelp
Super cute, vibey spot to celebrate a birthday or stop by while you're in Scottsdale. The space is aesthetic with a gorgeous bar and a photo booth in the back. Service was great--they really make you feel special, especially if you're celebrating. There were some mosquitoes flying around our table, which was a tad annoying. Food was okay -- we tried the porterhouse steak, hamachi, rice, mac & cheese, and calamari. Portions were small and overall pretty mid, but the drinks were strong, and I still left having a good time. Overall: amazing atmosphere for pics, girls' night, or celebrations. Food was decent, but not the main highlight. I recommend coming later at night too; they have fire shows.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised. Great decor and lighting. Really enjoyed the performance (was there on a Friday night). Food was fantastic - highly recommend the tuna tacos. Service was mediocre, and the front host did not handle our reservation as well as she could have. Because of the food (and bar/cocktails!) I'd go back.

Yelp
We attended this upscale restaurant for my friends birthday and had an amazing time. Another friend stated it took a little work to get the reservation with the time difference from the East coast. We were there on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was packed. It's beautiful and stylish decor. There were so many places to get some beautiful pics. We welcomed and treated very well by staff during our dinner celebration. They had live entertainment with the fire dancer which was cool to watch while eating. Everyone in out group ordered something different which i love so we could sample each others food. Everyone was very satisfied with their meals. The table consisted of seafood and chicken meals. I ordered the chicken al pastor with black beans, street corn and truffle mac and cheese. My meal was delicious and I was able to take home a goody bag. The restaurant is definitely a place to check out and have your coins ready. lol

Yelp
One of my sorority sisters and I spent the day at the spa. Afterwards, we were looking for a wonderful place for dinner. One of the ladies we met at the spa recommended this place so we thought we would give it a whirl! OMG! I am so glad that we did! The two of us sat at the bar and had a couple of cocktails. I had a spicy margarita and it was fabulous. I also had an espresso martini and it was very good as well. They gave us some salsa and chips and let me tell you about that salsa! It was outstanding! It more so has the consistency of a pico de gallo instead of a salsa. For dinner, we had the top cap ribeye, and the scallops and both of those were phenomenal. The top cap was served on a hot rock and the scallops were served with Some type of sauce. That was really really good! We did not order the Tomahawk steak, but we did see it prepared tableside. It looks awesome and I will try that the next time we come. They also had a fire dancer and she was very good too. This is really a happening place in Scottsdale and I highly recommend it. The vibe is electric and it's a fun place to be! I can't wait to bring my husband here and get that tomahawk steak.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place, especially considering how exceptionally the LA location delivers. While the Scottsdale location is SIGNIFICANTLY larger, the service and food are lacking. We came as a group of 9 as a bachelorette party (complying with all the dress codes of the restaurant), while still hoping to make our late lunch special and celebratory. The hostess barely cared to regard this, and the waiter didn't deliver either despite openly acknowledging our bride. I asked multiple times for fire shots and other festive things for the table as a surprise for the bride, but ended up with just a brownie with a scoop of ice cream at the end. The worst part is they didn't even clear our table or bring new serveware before dessert. As for the food, the guac lacks seasoning and citrus all together. The ceviche is AWFUL - the fish is far from fresh and leaves a bitter aftertaste in your mouth. The dish also lacks seasoning and lime and everything else you'd expect from a ceviche. It honestly spoiled my appetite for the rest of the day, even just after one bite. The drinks, chips and salsa are solid. I also enjoyed the music playing in the background. However, I ultimately expected much better food and service from a restaurant of this caliber. They have fire shows at 3-4 different times in the evenings, so if you do choose to check this restaurant out, I recommend doing so for dinner and not brunch. Brunch is just quiet and the restaurant is nearly empty.

A must-visit destination for those who appreciate modern Mexican cuisine elevated with creativity, luxury, and a touch of drama.

Yelp
This. Place. Rocks. It's probably one of the top 5 restaurants I have ever been. We were in Arizona for a bachelor's trip and eating here was on our to-do-list as soon as we started planning the trip. We were a bit hungover from the night before but boy am I glad we kept the appointment for this place. We ended up getting the mimosas and felt nice by the time we left. You can just tell as soon as you walk into this place that it is classy. The room was very bright and everyone was fun and friendly. They were even doing some sort of photo shoot with models at a table near us. We offered to give our services by posing for photos but they respectful declined . Bathroom rating: six stars. Now to the food. Just look at the pictures! Nothing is a miss on this menu. But the one thing we ordered that I didn't get a good picture of was the random cheese. Fried cheese. Just a bowl of cheese. Order it. Everything else was good too. We got cornbread for the table and this is the best cornbread I've ever had. There's little specs of jalapeños inside as well as actual kernels of corn. And the butter was perfect.

Yelp
This place seems like the "hot spot" in town and popular amongst the younger crowd. I loved that everyone came dressed to impress to go with the ambiance. The front door staff were polite and welcoming and we were able to get seated fairly quickly. I wish I had come in with a bigger appetite because I didn't really have the capacity to try the items I wanted to. I went with the Sea-bass tacos and it was so good. It was seasoned so well that you didn't need much for decoration. I ate mine without the crema. I was actually surprised at how thick the taco was, so two was the perfect serving size. Our waiter gave several recommendations and did not steer us wrong. I love when that happens. I was able to try the Branzino. I thought it was prepared perfectly. Very lightweight with a gentle crisp and seasoning on top.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of being served by Drew at Toca, and he was absolutely amazing! From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, friendly, and made us feel so welcomed. He knew the menu inside and out, gave great recommendations, and made sure everything came out just right. What stood out most was how genuinely kind and personable he was he checked in at the perfect times without ever making us feel rushed.

Yelp
Toca Madera in Scottsdale was a fantastic experience. Right from the moment you walk in, this place pulls you in and transports you. The decor is really awesome, there's lots of large tables and trees inside the restaurant. If you've ever been to Pump in LA it kindve reminded me of their decor. But a way bigger venue. The bar is stunning it's one continuous slab of quartz. This place does get very crowded so be sure to make a reservation if you can. I ended up sitting at the bar and had an awesome experience. Their cocktails are really nice, and some of them even come with pyrotechnics. I tried the watermelon margarita which had fresh basil in it and was so light and refreshing. You can tell they use good quality and fresh ingredients. For a starter, I got the Mexican Caesar salad which came with pepitas and a zesty vinaigrette. My server Jess had a great suggestion of adding chicken as a protein and she even had the Caesar split into 2 plates for the 2 of us. She gave us excellent service and always anticipated everything we needed to make our dinner spectacular. Some other highlights of the meal were their shishito peppers which came with a delicious sweet and salty Asian-style dipping sauce. These were so addictive and would be great for sharing with the table. I loved their fish taco, the fish was lightly fried and came with a creamy cheese inside. All the dishes went very well together as well. It's mostly a younger crowd here with a lot of energy so just make sure you are prepared to have a great time. There were live performers too which added a whole new element to our dining experience. Highly recommend coming if you are visiting Scottsdale!

Yelp
Very Vegas Vibe! This is obviously a very popular restaurant. It is located where the mall is at. So no valet for us this time lol. Nonetheless it's in a great location. You are met with two bouncers at the door. Make sure you have reservations. This restaurant gets packed. We sat close to the bar area so the music was very loud but that was the popular area. Entertainment for the night was the fire dancer (only on Saturdays). She was great! Food and drinks was very good. Their Kale salad was delish. We ordered their Ceviche Blanco was different but good. Now, their Brown Butter Cake was absolutely yummy! Our waitress was a sweetheart. She was very helpful with the menu. She made sure we were happy with everything. It was definitely an experience!

Yelp
This is the one of restaurant you come for a good-ass time. And if you're from a higher cost of living city, you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much less you spent here and still had fun. My group came without reservations so the bouncer-type guy at the front told us to get a seat at the bar before it got too busy. And he was right, while all the tables were booked up, we were able to snag 4 seats at the bar. Calamari was a strong starter, but the entrees were nothing to write home to. The drinks were amazing: strong and well curated. Service was too notch. We felt rude asking the bartender if she knew if we could get the table behind us, but she actually ended up going to the hostess to ask on our behalf. There was live performances, a DJ, and overall a vibe that you were at THE place that night. Would definitely come back for drinks!

Yelp
Food was amazing! Ambiance was very high class and trendy. Service staff were phenomenal. Pricier side but worth it. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Hands down an amazing experience. The girls and I came in for a get away weekend and was NOT disappointed. Drew did a top notch job as our server and the food + drinks were A1!
google avatar

Yelp
Lovely entertainment with the fire breathing artist, exceptional decor, and amazing service. For entrees we had the truffle burger, tacos, and the butter cake. Everything was exceptional, and the fries were a chefs kiss.

Yelp
Toca Madera is another fan favorite for a reason -- it's always a guaranteed good time! Definitely make reservations in advance, especially on weekends, because it gets busy. The vibe is unmatched: upscale, energetic, and so much fun, especially if you're celebrating something. The food is elevated Mexican cuisine -- flavorful, fresh, and always hits. And the drinks? Top-tier. We never skip the fire shots -- you can get them with tequila or vodka, and they're such a fun, dramatic moment. Perfect for kicking off the night! If you're there on a weekend, you're in for a treat -- the fire dancers and performers add such a cool, unexpected twist to the evening. It's not just dinner, it's an experience. Whether it's a birthday, girls night, or just because, Toca Madera never misses!

Yelp
Came here for a birthday dinner on Saturday with a big group of 8 and the whole experience from when we were seated to when we finished was great! Our server was amazing and she checked up on us several times throughout our visit. A complimentary round of shots was sent our way and it even came with a fiery show. We ordered guacamole as an appetizer and a side of pico de gallo with chips. For dinner, I ordered the pan seared salmon with a side of white rice and a side of the truffle mac and cheese. My cocktail of choice was the agua fresca and whoa was this delicious! It wasn't too strong and it was the right level of sweetness! The dancer came out halfway throughout our meal and put on an exceptional fire show. We had front row seats as were seated at the table right next to where she stands. Overall, we had a great time! The inside is really pretty and has a welcoming vibe. I will be back!
google avatar

Tammy M.

Yelp
Had a great time here with friends and the food was good. I ordered the grilled chicken plate with a side of truffle mac and cheese and cilantro lime rice. We ordered a round of guac with chips, and it was delicious. Our table received a free round of shots and they were some delicious tasting shots. I ordered the watermelon margarita as well ands it was good. Service was great and our server was very nice. Will be back!
google avatar

Katherine B.

Yelp
We had a wonderful happy hour. I took them Madeira Friday night. Kay took fabulous care of us with appetizers and our cocktails. Peter did a great job backing her up as well. She had the queso Fito, which was excellent and the tortilla chips with pico de gallo. It's probably the freshest pico de gallo I've ever had. We will be back again to enjoy the service and food. Kay really headed out of the park for us with her, Service.

Yelp
We came right before open on a Saturday and there was already a decent sized crowd waiting for the doors to open. Right when we entered, we were blown away by how beautiful the interior was! Recommend making reservations as I can see this place being packed especially for dinner. TOCA CAESAR: Great as a healthy side or palate cleanser. Fresh and crisp lettuce leaves. It's pretty hard to mess up Caesar salad though. The pepitas added some nice texture. TRUFFLE QUESADILLA: These were delicious but the price was steep...not sure I would get them again just because of the price alone. Super rich in flavor so definitely needed the salad we ordered to help balance things out. Loved the complimentary chips! Overall, decent food but pretty pricey...be prepared to splurge. You're definitely paying a huge premium for the ambiance. They have complimentary valet parking, although you can also park at the mall and walk over.

Yelp
Had reservations for dinner on Wednesday night, they were kind enough to check in to make sure we were making our reservation as we were running late. It was packed inside despite it being a weekday which speaks volumes for an establishment. We started off with some apps -shishto peppers, crispy calamari, tostaditas. For entrees we ordered - seared salmon, enchiladas, tomahawk bone marrow with sides of Mac and cheese and street corn. The enchiladas could have been skipped, it lacked a strong flavor profile. The tomahawk was cooked well on the inside but due to the flames it as very charred on the outside which disrupted the taste a bit. Overall great experience and would recommend to check it out if you're in the area for the vibes but don't expect to have a mind blowing culinary experience.

Yelp
Feel like I've reviewed this before but toca is super solid. Very friendly service, love the bar/lounge area. Prices are expensive but it's worth it. The wagu wontons are amazing. Also the chicken entree dish is to die for. My ex used to get the filet entree and she loved, not that she ever deserved it but... different subject. Margaritas are some of the best in the valley. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I will start off by saying I have been to this restaurant several times at this point of this experience. I should have posted a good review for the other times. I have dined at this restaurant because they were really good you know and I hate to be one of those people that only post negative stuff. But here it goes So I have frequent at this restaurant with business friends and friends, and I have had nothing but great experiences with the staff and the food all so good. So I decided for Mother's Day that I would ask my children to take me to this restaurant so they can experience the fun fire theme the great fire eating lady walking around. She is so fun and you know when they give you the drinks with the fire sparkling up from the drink, it's so fun and I just wanted my children who had not been there before to experience that. So the past few experiences that I have been there, the staff was super enthusiastic about the fire thing, especially when the drinks come, and you know we love our drinks so they would come in the fire would be like literally like a dragon, and I have video of this somewhere I should post it of the difference of the enthusiasm of the servers . So it made me super excited for my children to experience the enthusiasm of the servers and unfortunately on Mother's Day we did not get this On Mother's Day, it was not even as packed as you would think you can see in the pictures. It was not that busy. I don't know if they were understaffed, but everybody just seemed underwhelmed to take care of us and it was felt and it was super unfortunate. So I ordered the drinks that I would order the the margarita that you know use the shaker to light the fire and the server comes over and she didn't even like have any enthusiasm. I looked over and she had already did it. She already did the fire experience and nobody saw it and she just put it down and my little sugar cube was barely on fire. It was very sad. That was an experience. I wanted my kids to see and she just left. So that was a super bummer and all of our wine glasses had spots on them. It was totally disgusting so I asked for new glasses and they brought them to me immediately and I showed them and they agreed that they don't know why they were even put on the table. Our server, I mean, he tried to be attentive, but I don't know if he had too many tables in our area. I ordered a bottle of wine that he never came and opened and poured for me. I know Maybe that's a spoiled person problem but it was just weird. You know in a finer dining restaurant you would expect your server to come and you know open up the bottle and at least pour the first glass. But he was too busy. I don't know if they were doing other things anyhow so we ordered steaks, enchiladas, burgers, fish appetizers all everything you can imagine desserts all of it And the food was just kind of mediocre this day so it was really upsetting to go to my favorite restaurant with my kids for the first time on Mother's Day and for it to be such a downer. So when the desserts came, you know, I told him if he could please put the sparkler on the desserts and he said they usually only reserve that experience for special occasions, and my daughter said well this is Mother's Day and this is my mother lol so I guess he was like OK so he did that. He stuck it in one of the desserts and I could feel the heat by my ear when he came and put it on the table and I don't know if he was being aggressive or not, but I could literally feel the heat from the sparkler next to my head because he wasn't paying attention so that was really annoying. I was not happy about that at all. I feel like this day they just didn't wanna have to deal with us and it made me super sad so will I go back to this restaurant? Maybe I don't know. You know I had several several great experiences there but this one I really wanted to be good and it wasn't. My kids I don't know if they were as enthused as I was when we left probably not. For restaurants that charge these kind of prices for mediocre food and more for the experience they should really make sure the experience is great every time. The desserts are always delicious here. Food was great for the most part. Ambience is always fun here. Moody hosts at the front are comical at this point they're so young and half dressed it's kind of funny but just get me to my seat right lol

Yelp
This place was amazing! Came for a 14 person dinner party. Everything was on point. Service was attentive and friendly, Foods were mouth watering and tantalizing and ambiance was incredible, with fire shows and great music. I would come back time and time again! And don't forget to find and use the cubbie photo booth with your friends

Yelp
I had a pretty wowing experience here. I can't wait to return and explore the menu more ! We did make reservations and were promptly seated. Service was amazing as expected courtesy, timely, and helpful. We placed our drink order and within a few minutes our perfect crafted cocktails were brought to the table. While looking over the menu and decided on a trees and appetizers. Our food was promptly brought out; one of the entrees the Rock Chicken was not warm at all, the server without issue replaced the item. We were here for a birthday dinner and a complimentary dessert was brought out for the birthday girl with sparklers and all :) !! Pro tip: it is a little loud in here so make sure know that going in its a very lively environment but also creates an entertaining atmosphere. I loved the complimentary valet ! Please remember to tip these are very kind generous and hardworking people !!!

Yelp
Fun atmosphere, loud music with fire dancers! We were started with the chips and 4 different types of salsa. Then the queso fundido that was served with small tortillas. 3 of us shared the tomahawk. Cool tableside presentation! I loved this place! Everything from the service, the drinks, the dinner and dessert were amazing! Highly recommend. But be prepared to spend a lot of money!

Yelp
Came here tonight because it was recommended by Victoria at Cook & Craft (also great). Our uber driver actually cast shade upon this place and said they charge too much for what you get. I disagree. Came here w/ my boy JP. No res, just faith that we would find a way to eat here. Walk in and there's no room for two at the bar. JP goes rogue and sits down, makes friends with randos. I'm like okay wtf do I do? I sit at a random seat at the bar. Nicest bartender ever, Jess, takes my order - the Oaxacan marg was incredible. Mezcal was in it which I have had before and am a fan of. So anyway, I'm soloing while JP is across the bar having the time of his life. These two women walk up and there's an open seat next to me and like clearly they want to sit next to each other, but I can't compromise my spot bc there are no seats open by JP. Then, these cool medical device/insurance sales dudes scoot over so I could sit with JP and his new friend James. So I told the woman who needed a seat w her friend that I was good and I hopped over. Long story short, I got to sit next to my boy and they delivered my burger to the right place (despite me moving). Also the burger was 11/10. My uber driver was so wrong and low key disrespectful for saying it was overpriced. I got my money's worth and then some. Bartenders Pete, Jess, and Lacey were incredible. Bathroom attendant Destin is a legend as well. I love this place - you will too. I might move here don't tell my parents yet tho

Yelp
Toca Madera was so good. The vibe, the drinks, the food everything was on point. But the tacos de arrachera? I can't stop thinking about them. I literally crave them every day now. Definitely one of those places you go to once and immediately start planning your next visit. The servers are great and nice. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This restaurant is everything you've seen it to be on social media. I cannot recommend enough that tourist come here on a visit to Arizona. It was incredibly beautiful. I only have one flaw is that it is very loud in this restaurant. It is not really meant for intimacy, but it is very sexy and I would definitely recommend for birthday gatherings. The service was good. We had a very nice waiter and our food was so delicious. I ordered a steak that was cooked to perfection. It came with a compost butter and I also got a side of the mac & cheese now overall this restaurant is absolutely 3 to 4 dollar signs expensive but it is so delicious. You definitely need to try it for your experience in Scottsdale.

Yelp
This has to be one of the best experiences I have had at a mexican restaurant. The fire show with the fire eater, the dj spinning tracks that curated a fun vibe, the service was excellent and quick. The food was excellent, I had the chicken al pastor. The chicken just fell off the bone, deliciousness paired with sides of black beans, cilantro lime rice, and the corn. The lush ambiance and entertainment makes this a must visit. Yes its dimly lit and full of greenery galore but its nice. We did share our dishes, but I couldnt remember what everyone had, but it was all good.. The cocktails were excellent. The fire green tea shots was my favorite and a conversation piece on how they are presented!

Yelp
Wow just wow, what an amazing experience here! Had a reservation on a Thursday evening (book early- they do fill up) and was seated promptly. The atmosphere and ambiance is hard to describe, but it's lovely. Service was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The server provided good recommendations for our group since it was our first visit. All of the food we tried was delicious and the drinks were great too. Valet parking outside. Must visit if in Scottsdale!

Yelp
Before our night began, a little boujee dinner was the plan! My friend recommended we dine at Toca Madre after having a memorable experience, and I said say less! The vibes here were immaculate! The restaurant was stunning, but when I entered, my mouth dropped. The dark ambiance and loud diners gave an energetic vibe. We loved the fire dancing and the amount of fire incorporated. Lots of patrons were celebrating events like birthdays or bach parties. Seating is plentiful for large groups or pairs--reservations are recommended as it's popping in here! Our waiter cared for us well and had a good listening ear. Food came out relatively fast, and drinks were on the lower end. As a modern Mexican steakhouse, you will also find steak and other items! We shared Guacamole and shishito Peppers and enjoyed the complimentary Chips and Salsa. The guacamole was creamy and tasty, with a refreshing touch from the pomegranate. The peppers had a slight kick and paired well with the sauce. I also had the Al Pastor, two spicy and sauce-heavy chicken tacos. My friend enjoyed her Truffle Mushroom. We shared Street Corn and Cilantro Lime Rice as average sides, and Churros for dessert. The churros were delicious with the accompanying sauces. We also got a few rounds of drinks--fun and creative but not intense. I couldn't have asked for a better girl's night spot to start our night and am grateful for my friend for making reservations! If you're looking for a restaurant to celebrate and for the experience then Toca Madera is a good option to try at least once. They have multiple locations but the one in Scottsdale is off N Goldwater Blvd. and easy to find!

Yelp
I highly recommend Toca Madera if you are celebrating something! Such an elegant and fun atmosphere. They have fire dancers as entertainment! Service was great! I recommend a reservation so you aren't waiting long. I had one of their salads with carne asada and it was delicious! It was probably the best carne asada I've had so far.

Yelp
Gorgeous interior dining space. Wonderful entertainment. Cocktails are excellent. I had some version of a margarita that was visually beautiful. Dining companion's Noble hamburger was incredible. Maybe the best I've tasted. My flat iron steak was perfect. Chipotle mezcal butter - delicious. Seasonal vegetables of carrots - delectable. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough, except for the eye popping prices. Mucho dinero required to settle the check.

Yelp
5 Stars across the board for this place!!!! We were recommended to try this place and it did not disappoint. From the moment we open the doors and were welcomed by the stunning decor, I knew this was going to be a great experience! Since they were full on reservations, we decided to try the bar and to our luck found 3 empty seats! Mariana was our amazing bartender and she made the whole experience a 10/10. She was so sweet and so amazing. She recommended a couple things, made the best drinks, and really took care of us. Whenever I come back, I'm definitely coming to see her! We ordered just a couple of items. I had a salad with salmon that was so so good. We had a fish dish and a couple of other bites, everything was so good. The drinks were amazing. I would highly recommend making a reservation but if you can't, go to the bar in the back and see Mariana!

Yelp
Toca Madera is one of the most lavish establishments in Scottsdale. I've been here twice now and my second time was an unforgettable experience! I took my friends here for happy hour because I love the vibes, and I knew they would enjoy it too. We sat in the back where the bar was. We ordered a few items to share from the happy hour menu: the hamachi crudo, ceviche, and chips and guac. We loved the hamachi crudo! It tasted so fresh. The ceviche tasted fishy so it wasn't my favorite. For the chips and guac, I like that they also served it with plantain chips which was a nice twist. Mariana was the best bartender ever! She really connected with us and put on a little fire show when she made some of our drinks. I couldn't decide which drink to order from the HH menu, and she recommended the watermelon margarita which ended up being my favorite. I love that there was a juicy slice of watermelon on top, which was super refreshing. It was also one of my friends' birthdays and she surprised her with a delicious chocolate-y dessert with vanilla ice cream, and best of all, sparklers! We had such a great experience here! Toca Madera is definitely more higher end so it would be fun for a date night, happy hour, or just a night out with friends.

Yelp
Came to toca madera for my birthday and they did not disappoint. the pricing is a bit steep, but normally when I go to "expensive restaurants" we pay a lot for a little. And this was the opposite. We had leftovers for days. The service was top notch and if you've seen instagram reels you'll know the ambiance is very trendy and fun. Don't go if you like quiet restaurants but 100% recommend for a celebration. Ps the birthday dessert- so good!!!

Yelp
What an amazing find! The vibe and decor in this place is both modern and welcoming. I would not recommend for families with children, though. Our server was attentive and gave us time to enjoy our meal while making sure we were taken care of. Agua Fresca was a yummy cocktail. My daughter had it as a mocktail and aid she would recommend as well. We enjoyed the calamari to start - the sauce was a nice complement. The chips, while salty, were yummy with the salsa. I had three Caesar salad - I enjoyed the dressing, although I should have asked for it on the side. It was a little much for me. I added shrimp and - whoa - they were huge!!!! My daughter had the chicken tinga enchiladas - she enjoyed every bite. We were there celebrating her birthday - they brought out a sparkling dessert which was a nice touch.

Yelp
I've been frequenting Toca for a few years, and this place is such a vibe! A perfect spot for date night, girls night, celebrations and more! A gorgeous moody ambiance filled with modern dark decor awaits as you step foot into the eatery. Resverations are a must as it is always bustling & walk in availability is near impossible. Serving modern Mexican food with a large array of cocktails that are greatly paired with any dish. The complimentary chips & pico de gallo is amazing! Perhaps better than the entreès themselves. I feel the food was much better in the past, before they changed their menu. Some entertainment is offered as they put on a fire dance show throughout the evening. One of my favorite parts of coming here! My go to cocktail is the Ghost Rider- a delicious margarita with a hint of mint adorned with a sugar skull that puts on an amazing insta worthy show as they torch the drink & light it up! The filet mignon is always a great option and remember no sides are included with any entreè. Enchiladas were just okay, I'd steer clear of those. Overall a great spot for celebration dining and getting in those insta worthy pics. Don't forget to make your reservation!

Yelp
We got in trouble by the waiter and the some lady that came to our table to scold us. The waiter was terrible, would take for ever to come to our table each time. We had gotten cold food cuz god knows how long our food sat before he would bring it. We were dining just like everyone else. No different! We were the only Mexican group of guests! They made us feel supper uncomfortable and we paid and left. We've been here with Drake for Parties many times and had noooooo problems when he spends so much money at this place! We're customers just like anyone else! But will gladly spend our money elsewhere. Update: she came up to our table 2 mins after I posted this review saying she saw the review and gave us gentle parenting haha! She argued with us and making us supper uncomfortable all because she can't train her servers to properly remove menus after ordering. All we had done was called the waiter over to give him back the menus that's what the issue is?! It got way more ridiculous one talk with us wasn't enough for her. She needed to come back...

Yelp
To start, our server was amazing! Very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. She even included a complimentary dessert for my birthday. We dined there for happy hour in the bar area, and we loved it! The drinks were delicious and refreshing, and the ceasar salad was one of the best salads I've ever had! Our server suggested we split it in 2 and it was a perfect portion. The atmosphere was very high end but without a snooty feeling. Perfect for a date or drinks with friends. The drink presentation was amazing and one came with a fire show! They also included a sparkler for the dessert. They had a fire dancer around 6:30pm. I cannot wait to bring more friends there!

Yelp
Definitely a vibe! Recommend booking in advance. We went here for a birthday and they were super accommodating for gluten free. Lots of attention to service details and yummy cocktails. We had the wedge salad and the al pastor chicken. It was so good! It doesn't come with anything other than the chicken so consider a side (had broccolini- loved it). Finished the evening with the chocolate mousse- chef's kiss! We can't wait to try more.

Yelp
WOW. I love coming here to celebrate events or bring out of town people here! The food and vibes are great for a night out with lots of bells and whistles, if that's your thing. We came here to celebrate some birthdays and had quite a show from the performers (guitarist and fire dancer). You can valet or park by yourself in the garage nearby! Food and drinks wise, pricey but delicious. Loved the calamari appetizers! I ordered the scallops and was surprised by the portion size but it was very tasty.

Yelp
Unfortunately another example of beautiful place with subpar food. The decor is beautiful and our waiter was wonderful so they defied the service portion right. We were started off with chips and their homemade pico which was actually very good. I wanted to get the calamari but they were out which was pretty disappointing. None of the other apps were of particular interest so we went straight into entrees. I got the short rib enchilada and my other party ordered the steak tacos. They really enjoyed the steak tacos and the steak was very flavorful. The short rib was also flavorful and stood alone in this dish as the tortilla and sauces (I got half red, half green) weren't anything to write home about. I did, however, enjoy the green more as the red was fairly tasteless. We also got the street corn as a side and would not recommend this to anyone. We did get to enjoy the fire show which was nice. Was celebrating my birthday so I was treated to a birthday dessert of a brownie and ice cream which was a nice treat. Overall, glad I crossed it off my list but don't see myself returning.
