My kid was craving Japanese food so we decided to try here. This is located in a small strip mall off of Baker Street. The biggest cross street would be Bristol Street, but it's not in The CAMP, it's like behind it, separate from The CAMP. Parking is kind of limited.
We got here on a late August Sunday a little after 12:00pm, and luckily found parking right in front. The inside is pretty small, maybe seats roughly 25-30 people or so? There was only one other party inside besides ourselves so still pretty empty, but more people came in towards the end of our meal.
My kid ordered the regular chicken katsu curry ($14.50), I ordered the regular omelette chicken katsu curry ($17.00), and we shared two orders of gyoza (2pc per order, $1.80ea). I noted regular size because you can order a larger portion for a few bucks more (only for rice dishes).
The katsu was tasty. Piping hot when it came out, crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. The omelette was also cooked nicely, not under or overcooked, slightly runny like in Japan. The curry had a slight sweetness so I probably should've gotten at least a mild spicy level instead of non-spicy to give it a slight kick. My kid got the mild spicy, and she even said that that wasn't spicy at all. I don't remember if they offer levels of spiciness, but definitely would like to kick it up a notch if we get a chance to return. FYI, their curry has a deep flavor with aromatics and a slight sweetness (fruitiness?) so don't expect it to be like the curry at Curry House.
