Tokyo Sushi Omakase Restaurant

I went to Tokyo Sushi restaurant and was absolutely delighted! I liked the atmosphere very much: cozy, beautiful, quiet. Everything I ordered was incredibly delicious! I love miso soup and this is probably the best I've tasted - rich, flavorful. The rolls were also above all praise: delicious, flavorful and very beautifully served. Thank you for a great evening - I will definitely come back again!

My family stayed overnight at Holiday Inn Express overnight because of a flight delay and we came across this restaurant. The server who helped us was very nice & friendly. All sushi we ordered tasted very delicious and looked high quality.

We had just flown in on the Friday night and was famished. As we walked around outside our hotel we came across Tokyo Sushi. There wasn’t much around and it was late so we decided to do take away and have it at the hotel. Ordered a couple of the salmon tempura rolls and a couple of the avocado maki. The front of the house provided great service, letting us know that our orders were coming and sorry for the wait. After getting our orders we quickly got to our hotel and settled down to have our meal. Well I was a little disappointed with the tempura roll . It was over cooked and dry. Not very appetizing. I ended up just having the avocado maki and threw away the rest. That just confirms what I think about takeout and also be wary of the restaurant if closing soon for the night. I don’t think I will be back here the next time I’m in town.

I had an amazing experience at Tokyo Sushi! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is very pleasant, creating a cozy and welcoming vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure everything was perfect. If you’re looking for high-quality sushi in Miami, this place is definitely worth visiting. I will be coming back for sure! Stopped by this establishment to place a to go order for lunch today. I ordered the Chicken and Rice. The Chicken was cooked very well, and the rice had plenty of flavor. The atmosphere and service was good.

Stopped for a little snack, had the ginger salad and shrimp tempura roll. Everything was fresh amd tasty! Hibiscus tea was refreshing and the atmosphere was very nice, music was a very beach chill vibe.

This is the number one sushi restaurant in the Fort Lauderdale area! The rolls are always fresh, huge, and absolutely delicious - just like they look on the menu. One more reason I’ll keep ordering from here is that they include photos of every dish, so I always know exactly what I’m getting.

The mango roll...chefs kiss! I enjoyed my experience from watching the chefs make my rolls to taking to them about the food. And if your a tea lover.. the fresh Jasmine Tea is top notch!

Our cruise ship had a stop in Ft. Lauderdale and I was craving some sushi. I found Tokyo Sushi on yelp which was in walking distance and decided to try it. The staff were awesome and Hara our server was friendly and very welcoming. We ordered edamame, crispy rice with spicy tuna for starters. We also had the Red Dragon roll, mango roll and my son was able to order his favorite roll that wasn't even on the menu. Everything was delicious and I think we ate every bite. If we come back to Ft. Lauderdale we will definitely go to Tokyo Sushi again!

Nice, clean, calming and bright. Nothing too fancy, but you feel like you are in an establishment made to serve. I had several dishes and each was well defined, fresh and executed perfectly. Each tasting built my enthusiasm to try the next dish. This is a place I will gladly visit again.

We found this place through Yelp, and I'm so glad we did! From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but inside, it's super cute. We visited around 3:00 PM on a weekday, so it wasn't busy at all. The space is small but very well decorated. The service was outstanding, and the food was excellent! Here's what we ordered: - **Miso Soup**: Really delicious. ($3) - **Mashi Mashi Roll**: Absolutely fantastic! Torched rolls with tuna, crunchy onion, avocado, sweet chili sauce, and decorated with salmon and serrano peppers ($17). - **Rainbow Roll**: Delicious! Crab mix, avocado, and cucumber in the roll, topped with tuna, salmon

Ordered twice over the phone for take out; foods good but the lady (possibly hostess) that picks up is always rude and angry; shes just awful. She sounds like she doesn't want to work and puts u on hold for the longest everytime. I called back like 4 times & she sends me to VM. Would never set foot in this establishment nor takeout again. This place is super cute and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We really enjoyed the sake we had to start. The gyoza was delicious and a perfect start. We tried the vegan sushi next which was good but a little miscommunication on what came in it. The husband enjoyed the tuna sushi and another one as well. I tried the chicken ramen which randomly tasted like chicken fajita ramen. Which was still tasty just not what I expected I do recommend coming here it's nice and enjoyable.

Very kind and delicious experience. They started us with a tiny plate of salted edamame (same as the other tables) We got the salmon and tuna poke bowl lunch special $20, shrimp bento box lunch special $19, and a shrimp roll $10 between 3 of us. The salad was unique that it had mango and raspberries with the green mix and a tangy dressing. Saving the raspberries for last was a nice palate cleanser. 3 fried shrimps, fried rice, 8 salmon maki, salad, and miso soup. It's not busy, only two other tables were seated at the same time as us. Soft music plays in the background but not loud as we can still talk. The waitress was kind and gave us wifi details, accommodated for our child.

Very nice and clean, looking restaurant disappointed with no salmon skin handle roll or sashimi platter options. I think they have a lot of potential.

Walked in on a Thursday night only 2 other parties. We were seated and while perusing the menu realized the music was god-awful loud and super annoying. Booming club music on a Thursday in a mostly empty restaurant. We left. Went to 17th Street Sushi & Thai and enjoyed everything!! 2 stars since we didn't eat...

This was such a beautiful little hidden gem with a wonderful sushi chef curating the Omakase experience. I've been to many Omakase bad sadly I'm regards to my own preferences the pieces weren't very special. Although the chef was kind and knowledgeable all the pieces had the exact same toppings which didn't really elevate the nigiri at all. It was hard to find a favorite piece cause they all tasted the same and fishy. The pieces were also so big and such a mouthful which I believe nigiri should not be so you can better taste and enjoy the flavors.

Came here once again and never disappoints. chef Randy + Michael & staff = 10/10 service. The food was phenomenal!!!! Cher Randy always comes up with different twists to his omakase and it definitely is worth every single penny. The ambiance and everything was up to par. I will definitely come back again. This was yet again the best omakase experience I've ever had.

New Spot! Love this place Cute warm spot located in a great area in Ft.Lauderdale. The service, the food and the location were all outstanding. Plenty of spacious parking which is always a huge deal for me. If it's complicated.... I'm not going. I went for a late lunch and was seated right away. The waiter was very attentive and kind. I had some questions and he provided a thorough explanation. The food came out right away. Lately I have been on a small mission to try out Tuna Tartare in different restaurants I try out. So I ordered it and I am so happy I did! It was delicious. The tuna looked so vibrant and fresh. The sushi rolls were delicious. I also ordered Nigiri for the first time. I had been dying to try it. I am also glad I did that as well. I will be ordering this every time I have sushi from now on. Really enjoyed the Mashi Mashi roll and Ceviche roll. Very tasty and fresh with great service. Not too loud and nice ambience. Highly recommend.

Usually don't post reviews but this was place was high on the list for around a wide area. Sushi wasn't the best. Good service. Don't get the chefs signature roll.

This was such a pleasant omakase experience!! Very cute, intimate setting and the bathrooms were clean but let's get to the good stuff. Randy is amazing and I have faith in his business. Apparently he took over the previous restaurant which didn't have the greatest reputation and I remember him mentioning a possible name change in the future but nonetheless, give this spot a try!! The freshness and quality of his selections is top tier, I'm already daydreaming about going back. My boyfriend who isn't as... let's say, advanced as myself, took on the omakase dinner with me and he ended up loving it! I kept saying Randy was the king of balance, he plays around with a lot of different flavors that had me mind blown. 10/10, definitely do omakase here!

My new favorite sushi spot in Fort Lauderdale! Everything is so fresh and the service was amazing. I used to go to this place years ago. It gained new owners that completely revamped. The design of the places and cute sake cups they let you hand select are adorable. I cannot wait to come back here. Tuna lover roll has been on my mind since. Thank you for the great experience!

Just as I remembered over 10 years ago when I was here last time. Even though under new ownership as of January the food was delicious, service amazing and overall great experience.

Hands down the best experience I had with Omakase all thanks to Chef Randy who made it phenomenal!! It's located in Ft.Lauderdale in a small plaza. We had a reservation for 3 for a birthday celebration. We got seated right away. The ambiance was nice and the interior was very warm and welcoming. Staff members were quick and attentive service was absolutely amazing Food was very delicious !! Each piece carried its own unique taste and quite exquisite! Fresh and lingers in your mouth. I would highly recommend this place and specifically ask for Chef Randy !! I will be returning. Keep up the great work !

A new manager has taken over this restaurant and it's for the best. The fish is flown in from Japan and California and you can tell. It's so fresh and melts in your mouth! Everything we ordered was really good but the rock and roll sushi was a fan favorite - spicy tuna topped with a piece of shrimp tempura. We also ordered the crab roll, eel / avocado roll and the salmon / avocado roll. You cannot go wrong with any sort of sushi here! They also brought out some complimentary appetizers that were delicious!

Absolutely scrumptious sushi. After we went for ice cream at Razzleberry's for ice cream, my husband decided he wanted sushi. This is next door to Razzleberry's. We were greeted by the lovely hostess Dacha and talked with manager Michael. Very very friendly. We sat at the bar and ordered a surf and turf roll and Snow Crab Roll and ordered fried rice. Will definitely be back!!!

This place is a hidden gem on 17th street. I came here for lunch because it was near my work and they have the best bento box lunch specials ranging from $18-$20. It included so much food. The restaurant was decorated nicely and was very presentable. The waitress was very attentive even though there was no one in there. I would revisit this place.

Delicious omakase!! Love Chef Randy! He is the best and made the omakase experience so much fun! The manager was nice as well and very friendly! The whole staff was welcoming and attentive! The sushi was fresh and delicious, will definitely be back and recommending this place to everyone I know!

I'm from Las Vegas, been here for 5 days, this is the 2nd sushi spot I've eaten, and by far the BEST I've eaten since I've been here!!!! The atmosphere, service, and quality are TOP-NOTCH!!

This was by far the best Omakase & service I have ever received in any restaurant. Chef's Randy & Jake were such excellent hosts/ chefs & they made the experience very personal & wholesome which to me embodies a real Omakase experience. The manager Michael was also very welcoming almost like I was a guest at his home. Totally recommend this restaurant & the relaxed vibe.

We are always looking for a new place to try when it comes to Sushi. We came due to the Yelp reviews and weren't disappointed. The food and service were excellent. Atmosphere was very good also. It's was also nice to not having to pay for parking in Fort Lauderdale. Although slightly pricey we will definitely come again soon.

Came here with my friend and decided to try the Omakase and it did not disappoint. We sat at the bar to see the chef make them as they came and it was wonderful to see the work that went into each roll. The chef was very nice and friendly, I will definitely be back.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday, everything was delicious and the service was wonderful. We were waited on my our beautiful waitress Daria. She was so attentive to us and knowledgeable about the menu. The place looks casual but the food was comparable to fine dining. We had delicious slices of blue fin tuna that melted in our mouths. The scallops were to die for, so full of flavor! The sushi rolls were amazing too. Please try the surf and turf one with wagyu beef, you won't regret it! Thank you to the waitress and chef for making us feel so welcomed and for giving my boyfriend one of his best birthdays in Fort Lauderdale! We will back for more :)

We stumbled upon Tokyo Sushi because we stayed at the hotel across the street for one night. Our flight into town was delayed so we were hungry and this place hit the spot! It's very nice inside and has a cool vibe. The service was great and the sushi rolls were very, very good! I highly recommend!

Ambiance is good for the location. Lovely table settings; servers tried hard to do well by us. P2 ordered the Ramen, and it was delicious. I ordered the Nigiri platter, hoping for more sushi than what came to the table: four pieces. Luckily, I had also ordered the Light Salad. It had julienned mango, baby tomatoes, and loose leaf lettuce. The dressing was quite good. Recommendation: yes with caveat--please offer a larger Nigiri Sushi platter!

Whenever I think of sushi, I think of Tokyo Sushi place on the 17th street. Always fresh and always amazing! The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is classy and relaxing. It is definitely an excellent choice for a sushi dinner!

We had our flight cancelled and happened upon this place and what a delight, super cute yummy place our waiter was awesome and so friendly kids were so happy he even put on bluey for them. The sushi was so good and if we ever get the chance to come back we will in a heart beat!

What a wonderful place to stop by for sushi. Great atmosphere and staff and most of all , the food is very fresh and tasty . They also told me that they will have good specials from now on and free drinks for ladies on certain days , which exciting... New management definitely is doing a great job! Must visit!

My Cold soup came in 20 min. Before my girlfriend's dish. Wait and eat together? Or let it get colder. Ummmm. Earlier, I asked for a jar of water after waking all day (did not say tap water). Instead we got two fancy opened Tuscany water bottles. No chance yo say that is not what we wanted without looking very cheap. To close the night, the waitress singaled from the cashier if I wanted the check before I asked for it. Normally I call them or they are decent enough to approach the table. Lots of other options in the area.

What a great find. The fish is fresh and the service is outstanding. We enjoyed otoro, snapper, maguro, uni, hamachi, kampachi, wagyu-all nigiri. We had the crispy rice with spicy tuna-also excellent. Had some really tasty junmai daiginjo sake. Any time we are back in Ft Lauderdale, this will be one of our first stops.

Ordered take out. The Rock Shrimp, Rock&Roll, and Crazy Alexander. All were SO good. Rock&Roll could be spicy at times but everything was so fresh. Will be back to try more!

Miso soup was so salty I couldn't keep eating it. Also, why does the water taste to bad? You almost have to buy the bottle water they provide. My veggie roll was good and the spring rolls too. But they came out in the wrong order. I got my roll first, then the spring rolls, then the soup. Service was friendly but the water and soup were awful.

Food was incredible, the poke bowl and the shrimp ceviche is a must try. Staff was super friendly!

We happened upon this great sushi restaurant after we landed at Fort Lauderdale airport and wanted something eat.... So glad we did! Food was fantastic, great ambiance and vibe and wonderful staff! My favorite was the grilled salmon sushi. We will definitely go back.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would! The staff is absolutely amazing! The sushi if fresh and tasty! I was lucky enough to come on a slow night and really got to talk to chef Randy, he's an amazing sushi chef who has his flavor profiles down! Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone!
