This review is given by someone who doesn't love soup but loves sauce with her sushi. When I heard about a new sushi restaurant, I had to check it out immediately. I've been on the hunt for a new go-to sushi restaurant.
The place is beautiful, I love that every booth is surrounded by rolling privacy curtains. It makes it a but more intimate and private. Our waitress was beyond exceptional, very attentive, with an overall great attitude. Her alone deserves 5 stars.
Now for the food. 3 stars.. I really wasn't impressed. Would I go back, sure, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Everything seemed fresh, but the flavors were off for me.
Edamame came out after our food, which is weird cause it was supposed to be an appetizer. They were Luke warm. There is nothing special about these.
Wonton soup - huge bowl can easily feed 2 or 3 people. Broth tasted um bad, just bad, so bad I couldn't finish my little bowl. To me, it tasted spoiled, but my husband loved it. The wonton were good, melted in my mouth.
I got the cashew chicken dinner that came with egg flower soup, no flavor, zero, thick but came with crispy noodles, which I love in my soup. Egg roll, fried ship, 2 pot stickers, and fried rice. The fried rice tasted bad also, chemical tasting, really. Everything else was average. The cashew chicken was the star of our meal. Very saucy, chicken tender, and overall delicious.
Sushi....
Bamboo was my least favorite. Pretty bland.
Snow Mountain was good. It needed a kick of something, tho
Yellowstone was my favorite, probably because it had a little bit of sauce drizzled on it.
Overall, sushi was ok. Quality is great for the cost. I just wish they had more sauce drizzled on them or more flavor of sort.
