Tom Yum Thai Bell AZ

I’ve tried the pad Thai, but it’s not my favorite. However, I do enjoy the soup. I believe this is where you earn the stars. This dish was quite filling, even though it was small. The flavor was great, and the level of spice was just right. It was consistent with the other Thai restaurants I’ve been to. I would definitely come back for the soup and try the other items on the menu.

Exceptionally delicious Thai restaurant! Very nice interior and very clean, serving plates are cool. Veggie Spring Rolls were amazing, crispy with flavorful filling, just the right amount, dipping sauce was also really good. Dumplings were equally delicious, crispy and the meat filling was great. Massaman Chicken Curry was best I have had, lots of meat, peanuts and potatoes, the Curry was excellent. Thai Tea was also really good. This restaurant hit all the buttons for me, including very friendly and attentive customer service. Highly recommend!

This is a hidden gem. The food was phenomenal. The service was fantastic. The place was nice and clean and comfortable. I got pad thai w/ chicken at spice level Thai Hot and every bite was delicious. My wife got the chow mein w/ shrimp and it was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The portions were large too. We both only ate about half or less so we could have shared one entree. We will be going back here every time we crave Thai food from now on.

This is definitely a one and done for us. There were four of us and two ended up getting sick. The pad Thai tasted burnt so we only ate a couple bites of it. It was truly a very strange flavor for pad Thai. The combo platter was best described as greasy. The pho and the crab fried rice were the best tasting things we ordered. However, the rice was eaten by the two of us that got sick. We paid $150 for four of us and it was one of the worst meals we’ve eaten in Surprise.

Crab Rangoons could use more crab but were still tasty. Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles were excellent. Will return.

Love this place. We have been to both locations and they are both great. The food tastes home made, fresh, and wholesome. Love this place. Made sure to order some extra dishes to go to keep the experience going.

I've been looking for a good yellow curry since moving to this part of town. Tom Yum's customizes the spice level and is nice and creamy. I didn't like the taste of the carrots on their own but everything together tastes great. The portion size and rice to curry ratio is perfect. I loved the decorations and it was nice and quiet inside with good service.

Tom Yum Thai is such a cute little spot with a cozy, homey vibe. They have a ton of options on the menu, which made it hard to choose, but we ended up going with the Pad Thai with shrimp, beef and green beans, and the Penang curry. Everything was super flavorful and came in great portions, so we were able to share between the three of us and still had leftovers to take home (which tasted just as good the next day). They also have a nice beer selection, which was a bonus. The lady who took care of us was really sweet and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Even though we’re from California, this place has become one of our go-tos whenever we’re visiting family in Arizona. Definitely worth a stop!

Tom Yum has friendly service and crispy orange chicken! I enjoyed the beef satay skewers. The beef was well marinated and the light peanut sauce with their sweet and sour cucumber and onion sauce brought them up a notch. They have a pretty good pad Thai. Pad See Ew was on the wet and saucy side. I loved the orange chicken! Light and crispy batter lightly drizzled with an orange sauce sprinkled with sesame seeds. The white rice was so fragrant. Recipes here tend to lean on the sweet side.

First of all I have been here a Half dozen times in the past 18 months. It is very close to my home and easy to get to. I will not go again even if a friend suggests to go here. Food= Fair at fest. I love Pho however there's is just ok. The broth is too salty and the meat (chicken) was chewy. And the broth had little flavor except the salt, The fried waevblsnd protrin was chewy and every time was bland even after using the hot sauce. The spring rolls were not fresh tasting and over cooked Service = Fair.. not helpful or friendly. Atmosphere = Small tight and Cramped and the place was dirty the last time I went about a month ago I pulled back the window curtains and the sil was dusty and very dirty' I wish I had done this on my first visit.

Service was nice, the staff was sweet and helpful. The location does have an odor, like it is in need of a deep clean--respectfully. It has the smell of sticky soy sauce or sauce in general if you know what that smells like. The food came out in nice portions! I went with a friend and we got the drunken noodles, the peppered steak, and veggie spring rolls. The drunken noodles had almost just as much onion as noodles and the noodles with cut up for some reason, the basil overpowered the dish and added too much of an aromatic taste that it was nauseating. The peppered steak, according to my friend was really nice but just too much sauce--would've been so much better if it wasn't drenched, just some friendly feedback, and the veggie spring rolls were delish! I'll admit after eating here, my stomach was instantly in knots and I cook and have all types of dishes. It was not a fun time when I got home. Overall, nice experience but for the cleanness, price and quality? Probably won't come back for a while.

Food is usually good. They have given a military discount in past. This last time they gave the discount then added that amount in gratuity. Unethical!

Tom Yum Thai is such a cozy little spot -- feels super homey as soon as you walk in. The menu is huge (in a good way), so it was hard to pick, but we ended up getting the shrimp Pad Thai, beef with green beans, and the Penang curry. Everything had great flavor and the portions were generous -- the three of us shared and still had leftovers, which actually held up really well the next day. They've got a decent beer selection too, which was a nice bonus. The woman helping us was so sweet and checked in often to make sure we were good. We're from California but come to Arizona pretty often to visit family, and this has become one of our favorite spots to eat when we're here. Highly recommend!

I love thai food. Tom Yum has a very good menu that covers all spectrums of the cusine. I prefer the chicken pad thai - very good, large portions. Their spice is just fine at the levels the have, but you can spice it up on your own as well. Service is very polite. If ordering take-out, they are very quick to get your food ready, I have never had to wait - walk in pick up walk out.

Service has always been great here. My first visit here was not as impressive because it lacked the flavorful spices. Came back another time and requested for them to make the orders with more spices since my last visit did not fulfill my cravings. Angel wings were good! These wings are acts of labor so I really appreciate them having this on the menu. There's two different sauces: fish sauce with sugar mix and a sweet chili dip. Both are great with the wings. POMPANO FRIED FISH!! Pla Rad Prick. The sauce is amazing. Ask for all the spices if you can handle it. The flavors in the medium hot sauce is just superb. We order this to go with sauce on the side to enjoy it more. Really great in the air fryer for warming up as well. Pad See Ew - great flavors. A good go to entree for dining and take out. Pho Tom Yum Soup - This was the 1st entree on my 1st visit. I'll have to come back to try again later in this lifetime. Mango and sticky rice: really sweet. I like that they drench their sticky rice with coconut milk. Yum! Definitely good for one person or a light dessert when shared between two people.

I love the harmonious blend of different flavor elements that Thai food offers. Sweet, spicy, or sour, dishes are all excellent in taste. The spicy chicken basil was a hit for my fiancé and I. Savory and super spicy with a tad hint of sweetness. We enjoyed it. Their pad see ew, 4/5 with their chili oil! The service went great. The ladies were sweet and accommodating. Soft relaxing music with a sophisticated ambiance. Will be back whenever I'm craving Thai again :)

The food was mostly good. I recommend the panang curry, crab rangoons, the summer rolls, and the satays. The pad thai was missing more sweetness. The service. Nobody answers phones. Even with customers there listening to the phones just ring. Ambiance is decent. Nice restaurant vibe

Good food, good service, and easy to find in the shopping center in Surprise. Loved the Drunken Noodles, Angel Delight, and Mango Sticky Rice. Like the Pad See Ew (broccoli noodles) and Yellow Curry. Will be back!!

Hubby and I love Thai fried rice and wanted to try this spot based on a recommendation. We ordered take out so I cannot speak to the in restaurant experience. It was just okay for both of us. We both had basic rice with chicken. Though you get really generous portions, the overall taste lacked flavor for us.

Big fan of their pad Thai chicken. It is flavorful and the portions size is huge. I do pay extra for extra onion and extra egg. Be careful with the spice level. I get a level 2 and that is bordering on ouch. Thai chili hot is not even in my vocabulary. 10/10 would recommend!

Our favorite place to order takeout! Their Pad Thai is always delicious and their orange chicken sauce is to die for. Not only is the food always consistent and delicious but the portion sizes are large. 10/10 recommend.

Another great Thai food place. My wife likes to stop there for lunch after she and my mom are done with their pedicures. Stick to Thai dishes, as that's where they shine.

The price on their menu online for Tom Yum Soup large is $15 but when my husband pick it up the price is $24. And I thought the soup is good for 4 but it's just good for two. They should update all their prices online so that we would know not to go there. From now on if I want fried rice, chow mien and shrimps I would just go to Panda Express beside them. Way cheaper and way yummier! This restaurant just had a renovation which is good but the added overhead on the foods is wayyyy too much. I would not recommend!!

We went for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. The salmon and green curry was a hit with the wife. I had pad Thai, which was very good but a little heavy on the sauce. Although it's in a generic strip-mall, the inside is very pleasant and relaxing. We will definitely give it another shot.

I had ordered Chicken fried rice to go. Excellent portion of food! Service was quick. Beautiful place inside and place was packed!!! This place is an exotic little paradise to dine. I had take out., Ill b back.

I have frequented Tom yum in Surprise and Bell. I am delighted that they refreshed their inside with new curtains and decor. New wall coverings. Nice. Very appealing. The food is always the best Thai around. Delish. Service is attentive.

I had red curry from here. The curry is yummy very flavorful but I wish they put less peppers n more chicken.

The food is authentic Thai food, I have traveled to Thailand and brought back memories of the food on my trip. They will give u a lot of food, the house fried rice was very large and delicious. The pad Thai was so good too, the only thing I did not like was the summer roll, full of lettuce and disappointment. The rest of the meal was great, I recommend this restaurant.

Well, it's a little bit of a drive for me, but I think I found my new favorite Thai restaurant here in the West Valley. First one I've been to that actually has angel wings on the menu, and they're really good. Also had the pineapple duck curry as good as any I've had anywhere else Service was really friendly and the two girls out front handled everybody in the restaurant just fine. Ended up ordering some mango sticky rice to take home I'll definitely be back!

I cane with by with a co worker during lunch and tried their pad Thai. The noodles were cooked well and the flavors were delightful. The size of the plate seemed fair and the restaurant had a decent amount of tables available. My co worker tried the orange chicken and enjoyed the texture and flavors of the dish as well. Our server was kind and came by often to check in on us. I enjoy Thai food so I will come again and try other dishes since I enjoyed the pad Thai so well. I recommend you as well.

Picked up Pad Thai with shrimp and fried spring rolls and both were DELICIOUS! Ordered and ready for pick up in 20 minutes. We chose "hot" and the spice was perfect! Shrimp were large, cooked perfectly and our order had at least 8.

The Thai food here is really good. They have options for Vegans as well which is great when you're the only Vegan you know. The service is good. The food is hot and the spice is good.

Food was amazing the curry and the crab puffs the only down side is they need to be more generous on the side of rice for the portion of curry. Il take 2 stars off cause rice is cheap. Should fix this. But over all good food

This was my first time to this restaurant. My home state has A LOT of Asian Cuisine restaurants and that offer's tons of really really good [you will hurt yourself] places to eat and phenomenal dishes. That said, I have not found many restaurants here that I would rate on the same level. Tom Yum, is a place I will definitely go back again! I had their Tom Ka (seafood), Hawaiian fried rice (3 stars) and crispy egg rolls. Yes, I let me eye's out do me! The staff was friendly and the service was good. The Tom Ka didn't have the creamy consistency that I prefer but the food was flavorful. I am looking forward to trying other things on their menu.

Excellent curry dishes!! The service desk is so very kind and they're willing to give recommendations :) she gave us complimentary waters with lemon while we waited for our takeout order! This is our new favorite place, we will be back again!!

We come here every time we are in Surprise for Nationals. This might be the secret to winning! haha. Dining in experience: owners are super friendly, patient, and bring out the food quickly. Nothing has ever gone wrong here. The restaurant can maybe sit about 50 people? Take out experience: easy to add our options on the system and then pick a time for pick up. Only issue was that they didn't give us utensils, but luckily we lived in an Airbnb instead of a hotel. Overall, we love their curry and noodle dishes. I tried the fried rice dish and was okay with it, so I will probably stick to the other options in the future.

I've never had crab fried rice before I tried this place. Now I am a huge fan. Portion size was amazing and very delicious. I also got the drunken noodles which were equally as good. Authentic vibe and service was top-tier.

Deliciousness I am so glad we stopped in for a quick bite to eat. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is spot on. This restaurant has an extensive menu with many choices, their will be something to satisfy everyone's craving. On this visit we shared a few diffrent dishes and all were delicious. The flavors and dish combinations are delicious.  on this visit I had the Oad Thai with pork and it was delicious. My sister had the shrimp cashew which was also delicious. We shared the crab Rangoon and pot stickers as appetizers and they are both great. Highly recommend this restaurant. Great prices, delicious food, friendly service, I will definitely be back.

Pad Thai is a fav! Good take out also. Pricey if you just want to take out and enjoy but well worth it.

There isn't much Thai food options around this area. We got Thai food to go and the service was quick and friendly. The food, however, was just OK. It wasn't the worst type food I've had but it wasn't fantastic. The Pad see ew was not good, pad Thai was better than average. I think I would try it again and maybe try a few other dishes

Lovely little spot great for casual dining with a beautifully decorated ambiance. Outstanding service! The coconut soup with chicken was so good I went back a second day for more! Between the two days we went (after hiking), we also enjoyed the beef satay, a Pacific Island salad and the Massaman Curry. You can request your preferred spicy level. Highly recommended!

Always had a great meal here until a few days ago. Ordered the drunken noodles and they came really bland tasting and the first thing you noticed was how pale the noodles looked. It's like that forgot the sauce that makes the flavor. Too bad......this was one of our favorite places. I guess I should add the service was slow as well.

I didn't order food in the restaurant, but my dad and I came to pick up our orders. I ordered the beef curry with white rice that I shared with my mom, my sister ordered soup and pad thai she shared with my dad, and my grandma ordered a tofu appetizer. The restaurant was beautiful, and everyone was so friendly, fast, and efficient. I loved the food we ordered. There was so much flavor, and the rice was cooked well. The spices were perfectly mixed in with the coconut curry sauce and the rice mixed together. The beef also went really with the green and red peppers in the sauce. I look forward to my next Arizona visit so that I can order from here again. I would also really love to eat inside the restaurant because I'm sure that the dining experience would be amazing.

Service was great and food was good. Really enjoyed and would come back for the satay combo, tom yum kha soup, and the pho. Papaya salad was a little on the sweet side as I perfer a more salty flavor but it was not too bad. (More fish sauce please) The spicy green beans was also a little on the sweet side for my preference but also not bad. Tofu was as a protein was great! The pho we loved the broth and noddles but the beef could of been a thinner cut. Next time we will definitely go with chicken. Service was above and beyond and that rates pretty high in my book!

Tried this place for the first time and I can say I was very disappointed. The sweet-and-sour chicken was so watery that It was like soup and also came with a four inch piece of hair. The noodles for the noodle soup were very dry. The drunken noodles and the chicken pad Thai were just OK. A little bit pricey for mediocre food. Very grossed out from the hair so we basically trashed the whole plate of it. Never again!

Tom Yum Thai Updating my review! The Kings Royal Suit is hubby's favorite with its mix of chicken, pork and shrimp. Perfect pockets of a trifecta of meat Deep fried and beautifully presented with a dose of sweet and sour sauce. I've now added the Tigers Cry Salad to my list of favorites with its bursts of flavor in each bite. The mint, lime and mix of spices on the grilled beef isa delicious and refreshing salad. Be ready to share it with someone if having dinner or it's a fantastic lunch! Summer rolls are perfection with the stuffed rice paper rolls served with the yummy warm peanut sauce. The perfectly seasoned Crab Fried Rice is our go to favorite and what we go for every time! Lastly, the updates made to the place look amazing! We used to strictly order take out, but enjoy going in and having a glass of plum wine with dinner now. Enjoy the patio as well while the weather holds out and gets too warm! My only complaint is the continuous loop of repetitive music... we joke our favorite song is on and they always play it for us when we come in!

Great curry, great wontons, great soups, great prices. Best Thai restaurant in surprise by a mile. Service is quick and always friendly. Please don't skip this place, you won't be disappointed.

Only reason it wasn't for me is bc I was trying Thai food for the first time and it's just my cup of tea. However, their Thai tea was delicious!

Service was warm, friendly and efficient. Food came out hot and the flavor is excellent . I will be back for sure.
