Tomacelli's Pizza & Pasta

Excellent pizza! Super friendly staff and a very fun environment. We were passing through town and it was a delicious and warm welcome for us. Sioux Falls, you've got a gem of a pizza joint in Tomacelli's! (No photos of the pizza. We devoured it all!)

In 25 yrs I've never had a bad pizza or the wrong order. The restaurant itself is cool since you can write on the walls. The wait staff over the years have always been quirky. The owner helps make the pizzas and is a great guy. My absolute favorite pizza place in town hands down.

We just ate supper here after arriving in Souix Falls on an overnight stay. The reviews say it all! This place is AWESOME! The Hawaiian Barbecue pizza was delicious! The crust was excellent. And the price was extremely reasonable. We also had an individual cheese pizza and it was very good. All four of us agreed is was a 5 star place. I would eat here again in a heartbeat!

I think what makes a good pizza is the crust. This was excellent . And the salad was to die for,had all my favorite toppings.

The pizza at this place had a great taste, and the quick delivery to our hotel was impressive. However, I was puzzled by finding an open fork in the cheesecake box. Despite that, everything else was enjoyable, so I'm deducting just one point for that oddity.

This place is fantastic ! I ordered from them while I stayed in Sioux Falls for a few days. I'm in love with the cheese and pepperoni pizza they make called THE SUPER PEPPERONI ! The sauce is sweet, great flavor, seasoned right and they put a perfect amount on. They really pack this thing with pepperoni and if you want some delicious pie, do it ! I also had their hot chicken Wings. Super good! Temperature very hot, meat fell off the bone easily and had a good, spicy but really good taste sauce on them. Awesome and very fairly priced. Then to top it off, had some of their delicious cheesecake slices for dessert 🍨 🥧 mmmm mmmm good ! I will ALWAYS order from here when I'm in town, no doubt! Thank you to all the staff there and the awesome delivery drivers who brought the food to my room at my hotel. You guys rock ! Thank you for the really good food and service, you all are wonderful, sincerely! Thank you for making me feel at home with some hot food.

Ordered delivery to my hotel. The medium pizza over all was ok, bottom of pizza was super greasy. The alfredo sauce taste like it came from a can. The toast looks it come frozen, not fresh. Bread stick also same. They were friendly and delivered at a good time. Not worth the $40 spent.

A small little restaurant that has customer signatures everywhere in the restaurant. When we walked in, there were clear instructions to go to the window to place an order. The guy who took our order was extremely friendly. We are visiting from out of state and picked this restaurant on a whim. Once our orders were placed, it only took 10min for the guy to come out with our food. After we finished, we still had left overs, so I went and asked for a to go box. The guy was on the phone so I stood to the side and wait for him to finish up that phone order. The guy noticed me, and when he had a second he grabbed the boxes and handed them to me without me even having to ask. Once our food was in the box, the guy stepped outside with a sharpie and asked if we wanted to sign the restaurant. He gave us a brief history of some customer signatures before returning to the kitchen. I’m not sure if he was the owner or not, but he definitely made our visit exceptional!

When we drove up I must say I was not impressed!! But, the food was good and the serving size was enough for my wife and I to take home and have a second meal the next day! I ordered the spaghetti with Italian sausage and it was not bad at all. My wife ordered the Cajun fettuccini Alfredo with chicken and in my opinion it is definitely a do over!! We both have been eating on these two dishes now two and we will still be eating again!!

Awesome local pizza establishment with a huge variety of specialty pizzas and great crust with some char! There website is a bit outdated and even though it doesn't mention it they do deliver.

Great service and pizza! If you're thinking about a salad, just go ahead and do it. It was fantastic.!

Tried the Crab Rangoon pizza they had as a special during the pizza battle...my favorite pizza from the battle by far!! The flavors were spot on, and it was such a fun and unique idea! I would order it again if they ever decide to bring it back!

Very simple. Best pizza in Sioux Falls. We order extra sauce and well done. Friendly staff and real pizza made in real ovens. Yum!

The food was prepared in a very convenient way for the Togo order I asked for additional protein (shrimp) and veggie (broccoli) options they had on their menu. There is a order window inside and to note restaurant is attached to a local bar lounge.

Sorry, hate to be a downer here, but I'm amazed at how this place got the high marks that it did! We got a cheese/sausage pizza, very standard, and were left very underwhelmed. There was very little flavor that set it apart- no spices, bland, and a little doughy. It was just...there. Hopefully we just caught them on an off night. We had heard all about this being the best pizza in town, so they'd for sure deserve another try.

Driven by Tomacelli's our whole life & finally decided to try it backed upon all the positive reviews. Will definitely be back. Pizza & service were both great!

Very nice people, service was very friendly and homey! SUPER CHEESY! Every bite out of any of the pizzas was mouthwatering stretchy cheese! Definitely would recommend the chicken Alfredo deep dish, very flavorful and filling. The atmosphere was very unique, I, personally, loved it! I will definitely come back!

Delivery order was very good. Thai wings were tasty, with a little heat and tender. The garden salad was huge and very fresh. Jambalaya pasta was inspired and delicious. And the service was great, polite and friendly. The driver called enroute to confirm my room number at hotel - giving me the option to meet him elsewhere on the property if I preferred. Nice end to a long day of driving.

Very good food and nice staff. Unique and original decor. Had the Chicken Alfredo Cajun and it was perfect.

I hesitate to recommend, but that's because I'm selfish and I kinda want to keep the things I cherish the most all to my self. That's how I feel about Tomacelli's. It is head and shoulders above the rest of the pizza places in town and I'd go as far to say that it's one of the best restaurants in Sioux Falls. I usually order an extra large Big Nick. It's a great value and I can three meals out of one of these bad boys. My wife gets a medium pizza and we're set. We order delivery and we're down close to Tea, no worries, our order comes hot and delicious, and everyone from the person on the phone taking my order to the driver delivering my food are professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. We love it! About the Big Nick, it's a grown up flavored hearty pizza pie generously topped with black olives, green bell peppers, onions, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, sausage, tomatoes, cheese, and sauce. All of the ingredients are high quality and fresh. I didn't use to enjoy black olives, but the Big Nick converted me. I enthusiastically recommend Tomacelli's !!! You will not be disappointed.

We are traveling through and decided to stop here for dinner. Walking in the front door, we almost turned around and went somewhere else. There is "graffiti " all over the door. I really questioned what we were getting into. Inside the restaurant, you realize the graffiti is purposeful. There is graffiti all over the walls, ceiling, seats, and booths. Other than that, the walls were decorated tastefully with restaurant cartoony pictures and it is clean. The menu is large with salads, pizza, and pasta. My husband and I opted for pasta. He had the Lasagna and I had the chicken pesto pasta. They both came with garlic toast. My pesto was very good. Sometimes I have had pesto pasta and there is just not enough of the pesto. There was no fear here. It was mixed with diced tomatoes and sliced mushrooms on fettuccine noodles. My husband's lasagna was approximately 5" square. He is very picky and said he really liked it. The prices are awesome as well. If we had a chance to eat here again in the future, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

I am truly disappointed, order from them today 1/19/23 for picked up was told 30 minutes when I got there the guy ignored me for about five minutes (yes he knew I was there he looked right at me) he gave me the wrong order and when I corrected him he was rude about it because I already paid. he was like will I guess you get five dollars off. when I got home the food tasted like it been setting out for awhile ( I don't even live five minutes away) At one point in time they were the best pizza in town but in the last few years they have gone down hill. Not only there pizza has gone down hill the one on 12 street has become very dumpy. I am truly sad because it was at one point awesome pizza and a nice little pizza place . just really disappointed and sad how a great pizza place has become one the the worse places for pizza now . It like the owners don't care anymore.

Don't know how you can have a meat and veggie pizza without any taste but that's what I got. I like to try local restaurants when I travel but I will try another pizza joint next time, sorry.

This is a pizza place in a mall. The interior is coated in graffiti. It is a little gritty not in a cool way but in a slightly dingy way. The pizza though stands on its own. This is one of my favorite take out places. Make sure to call in advance as the wait can be over 1 hr on weekends.

We were staying overnight and decided to get pizza/pasta delivered. Very disappointing. First, the pizzas: Seafood Supreme- described as shrimp and crab with green onions. I requested no onions, but I swear they put extra instead. But most importantly, it is NOT CRAB. It is imitation crab (aka fish). So disgusting. Do not advertise crab if you aren't using crab. The second pizza (Cheese) would have been okay is it weren't for the raw dough. We also ordered spaghetti, and fettuccine Alfredo. Both were very bland. The only redeeming part of the meal was the garlic bread....but only because it was obviously the frozen garlic bread that you can buy at the grocery store (so they couldn't really mess that up). Should have just ordered Domino's.

From 2009-2011, Our group of friends are here every Thursday. We had many great memories share in this restaurant. After being away for a decade, Active Duty Navy, I returned to find this restaurant in great condition with familiar faces behind the counter. The pizza is better than I remember. I can't recommend this place enough!

I am in Sioux Falls for a few days, and the hotel recommended Tomacelli's for delivery. Actually, the hotel also said I should try Marco's because the front desk employee used to work at Marco's and "never got sick." So, I called Tomacelli's. There wasn't an option to order via ecommerce, sadly, because the person taking my order was in a very noisy environment which resulted in errors on my order. He also had a persistent cough which made me seriously second guess if I should order anything from there. My pizza and salad made it to me within about 45 minutes and the quality was great. I wanted a pepperoni and jalapeno pizza, but instead I got a pepperoni and black olive pizza. Pros: quick delivery, tasty pizza Cons: screwed up the toppings, order-taker had some serious upper respiratory issues or he was toking up while at work

We've eaten several different pizzas and they all were good, but it's never like Omg this is awesome. Just good but not out of this world so I gave it a above average rating.

Ordered a pizza to my hotel, paid for it and the guy left. Opened the box and it looked like it had been dropped. All the toppings were on the cardboard box and crust was on the other side of the box. I called TOMACELLIS back and I said you can have your pizza back, just bring my money back. His response, "We don't give money back." I said I'm at a hotel and don't live anywhere near Sioux Falls. There response was tough luck. Great business model. Nice attitude.

Just no. Creepy, very dirty and basically your average Midwest-gas-station quality pizza with a bizarre twist. When a restaurant looks like an old bar bathroom, has almost no service, less than good pizza, and terrible drinks, it just doesn't merit the astonishingly favorable reviews that this place has, which truly is baffling...

This place was the best pizza joint for many years but like a lot of great places it has fell in to just ok pizza. They use the correct deck pizza oven but there cooks fail to cook them. Crust is never fully cooked we even called and ask when we ordered to cook it a little longer and still flimsy crust I can't stand. So I took the time to call and ask for manager to relay to him our experience. Let's say the person on the phone sounded way young and got super defensive saying that he just got there so wasn't his mistake. Never said it was just wanted to help bring this place back to great! Please someone in Sioux Falls bring us a good N.Y. pizza!! You will be rewarded

This place is outstanding!! The delivery service was fast too...unlike what others said. Our pizza & bread sticks got to us hot and delicious with cold cokes on the side. Exactly what we needed after riding 12 hours today. Thank you for doing a GREAT job when I was too tired to do it...

Omg. Wonderful ! was told by tower camp ground that was really good pizza..Best pizza and lots more. Over the top Only thing I would do. Advertise my business. No one driving delivery car without sign of business and have workers wear hats tees You name on everything...

This is bad review... The last 3 times we've order a pizza half and half I have onions and green pepper on every pice of my half.. I hate onions on pizza.. The first one I thought ok just new person in kitchen or something... But 3 in a row... I will never order from them again.. Yuck.. YUCK... I DON'T like onions and green pepper on a pepperoni pizza.. So unprofessional... Yuck ... Wtf.... Seriously why do u think people order half and half. U SUCK

Have eaten here for many years and had then spaghetti for the first time. It was pretty good and plentiful. The Cajun chicken Alfredo pasta is still my favorite. They also have the best pizza in town.

To be honest I was very tired and super hungry when I came across Tomacelli's in Sioux Falls. I couldn't have been more pleased with their fast service, cool vibe and GREAT pizza! Very fairly priced and simply super good.

Food was delicious and came out fast. We ordered a taco and a bbq chicken pizza. The crust has just the right combination of soft and crispy. It's a pizza dive, the kind you can sit around in and just talk and no one rushes you to leave. Four stars instead of five because it might be time to update the booth seats.

My husband said, 'this is definitely a hole in the wall.' Seems super sketchy connected to a small casino. We got the lasagna and Spartichoke Pizza and breadsticks. Very good. The breadsticks were the best I've ever had.

We got a large pepperoni and an extra large Hawaiian pizza for take out. We waited a little more than 20 minutes. The staff was very courteous . Our family of pizza snobs was very impressed! The crust was perfectly done and the the toppings were plentiful. Next time we're in town we will definitely go back.

Deeeeeeeeelicious Pizza AND Pasta... I was visiting Sioux Falls and found Tomacelli's online.. I was staying at the Sheraton Convention Center Hotel. The young lady who took my order said it would take 45-60 min. I said no problem .. I believe it arrived in 35 min. or less.. It was delivered HOT and TASTY The Garlic bread was hot and soft.... I had to take a bite.... I loved the Pasta and Meatball sauce. Great flavor. Not only was my Pizza Beautiful.. It had a very balanced taste and the right amount of ingredients.. A very nice surprise..

Late night pizza place. After a long road trip to S.Dakota we found a late night place that delivers during week days. Food is also great!

We have ordered from Tomacelli's for years. We have always ordered a seafood pizza with crab and shrimp, a meat pizza and cheese bread. Tonight we got shrimp and chicken. Called to dispute the order and was told (VERY RUDELY) that the order was correct because the order was read back to us when we ordered. This is incorrect as I told the "manager" to order what we have previously ordered for YEARS. NOT CHICKEN. If you want RUDE customer service, go ahead and order from This "Manager"....

We are passing through the area and found their menu in our motel. I think they likely cater more to take-out orders, as the interior looks kind of shady. The graffiti-covered walls look more like vandalism than art, but their food makes up for it 100%. The pizza was some of the best I've tasted.... the crust is perfection. We also had bruschetta, which I highly recommend. The staff is super kind and attentive too.

This is the best pizza place I have ever been to! Everything is made fresh and the owners are amazing. The crust was crisp on the bottom and great flavor. They even sell dough balls so you can create your own at home. Wide variety of toppings, all fresh, and plenty of them! They were very generous and the cheese bread was great too. This is a perfect "dive" for Guy Fieri to come check out!!!

This has to be one of the best, if the not the best pizza places I have ever been to, and I live near Chicago. The food is fantastic with a ton of choices to choose from. I went here with my brothers soccer team, FC Wisconsin, when we made it to the semifinals, with a party close to 30, and we got our food within 30 minutes of sitting down. My family shared the Tomacelli's special pizza, an absolute must try if you go here because it is soooooo delicious! It is a supreme pizza with its sauce tasting like nachos and cheese, all in one. It's definitely worth a try even though it's a bit odd. The restaurant is very unique with writing all over the walls from past customers describing their experience. Because we were the only team playing at the South Dakota Midwest Region Championship for soccer that visited their restaurant, the owner, Mr. Tomacelli, let our team, FC Wisconsin, sign a ceiling tile showing that we made it to the semifinals at the time. Mr. Tomacelli was very nice along with his whole family he had working back in the kitchen with him. When our party needed something, someone in their family was right their to serve us. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Sioux Falls area looking for pizza, pasta, wings, or even a salad- a huge one! We need more places like this with great service and food! Also, FC Wisconsin won the Midwest regional soccer tournament making my brothers team the best u14 soccer team in region two of the United States, out of four, so champions have eaten at Tomacelli's!!

We WERE loyal customers until tonight!! We ordered two pizzas and some sodas, no big deal we do this a minimal of once a week, from tomacellis... we love their pizza... order taker informs us of the 45-1hr wait, again whatever, anyone who has ordered from here also knows the drill... we get our order, sans our six pack of Dr Pepper, the delivery driver says he'll be right back, we wait for a half hour then call the store. who I would assume was a manager answered the call, I informed him of our 30min wait time on the six pack, said person was short and rude with me on the phone, making it seem as though I'm a brat for expecting soda to be delivered to me ALONG with my meal.... Long story short, my pizza was cold when soda arrived, and tomacellis was quite rude to me on the food..... Don't expect my business any further, we will take our pizza business to boss pizza or Caseys or who ever cares to deliver our food with all ordered items.... I know that seems tough, but I delivered pizza too, it's called a job, do it or find someone who can!! #sorrynotsorry!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my mushroom and extra cheese pizza. The sauce and quality of cheese was top notch and not generic. It was a bit greasy but it is pizza! They said 45-60 minutes and it took 20. I was impressed.

I need to start off by saying that this review is in regards to Tomacelli's pizza only, as I have never had anything else on their menu or even eaten at the restaurant. It's only been carryout pizza so far. I also must let you know that I love pizza more than most things that exist in the world, so it may take a bit more for a really good rating from me in this category. My heart belongs to deep-dish, so Tomacelli's was never going to be my favorite. The crust is still good, though, as are the sauce and toppings. It isn't greasy pizza at all, which can actually be a welcome change. You probably won't end up feeling nasty, even if you eat a little bit too much. For someone with the right taste in pizza, I can definitely see this being a favorite as the quality is pretty high. Service has been pretty good as wait times (for carryout, at least) have been reasonable and the food has always been ready when they said it would be. Overall, I recommend Tomacelli's, as it offers pretty good, cheap pizza. They definitely offer the best deals on pizza in SF that we have found so far, as long as you are on the lookout for coupons (which are not difficult to find). Plus they have a solid selection of toppings. They even have feta, in my opinion an absolute must for great pizza.

I've never dined in so can't speak on that but the pizza is possibly the best in Sioux Falls. It's so delicious! You can't get anything like it at the chain stores. Plus free delivery is awesome. I typically pick up my pizza and staff is always friendly both on the phone and inside.
