We stopped by Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar this week for a casual dinner, and it ended up being such a pleasant surprise. Located inside Town Square on Las Vegas Blvd., the restaurant faces a gorgeous courtyard lined with twinkling lights and palm trees. It’s a smaller space, but the outdoor seating has a relaxed, tropical vibe, and the live music added the perfect touch.
Service was truly exceptional. Our server was charming, friendly, and attentive, and the management team stood out just as much. They welcomed us warmly, checked in on our table, and even comped part of our meal when one of the dishes arrived late, completely on their own. That thoughtful gesture really elevated the experience.
The food was fantastic from start to finish. We kicked things off with the Guacamole & Fire-Roasted Salsa with house-made chips, fresh, flavorful, and a great start. The Margherita Flatbread with mozzarella, ricotta, tomato sauce, cilantro pesto, and basil was a standout: crispy, delicious, and full of flavor.
For mains, we tried the Grilled Chicken & Mango Salad (I substituted shrimp), loaded with baby greens, toasted almonds and macadamias, feta, pepitas, dried blueberries, tomatoes, and a bright lemon basil vinaigrette. Everything was incredibly fresh, and the blackened shrimp were cooked perfectly. We also ordered the Kale & Brussel Caesar with chicken, another hit, with crunchy croutons and lots of Parmesan.
Our cocktails were fun, well-balanced, and perfectly mixed, keeping with the island inspired vibe.
Overall, it was a 10/10 experience. Great food, excellent service, lovely atmosphere, we’ll definitely be back.
