"Already, restaurateurs like Kang are leveraging that foot traffic and brand exposure to build presences in other, potentially more profitable areas that cater to different clienteles, like her Midtown location of MáLà Project or her Chinese diner, Tomorrow, in FiDi." - Jenny G. Zhang

Chinese homecooking. The beef stew and potato is really good so is the eggplant - their menu rotates so if you see these, get them. The fried rice has good flavor but the rice could be less soggy. Pigs ear is well-flavored. Their tofu skin, cucumber and chicken cold appetizer is super refreshing and great for summer

Happy to have this place in the neighborhood, great food, the "Tomato & Egg" was most delicious. Cool decor too, jazz standards on the radio, will be back for more.

Here is where you wanna come for a warm breakfast. The taste of tea egg is nostalgic. Very friendly staff!

Easy ordering and cozy, but not crowded seating. Variety of entree/side choices from familiar to unique, and rice options as base.

Had to give 3 stars to this joint, not sure why there are many high rating reviews, maybe I hit their bad day unlucky.. Start with the good: very clean, staff is friendly, everything is well organized. The bad: they should cover the food with lid or something, otherwise the food in the open-containers are getting too dry and make them look/taste like leftovers; the cold dish is way too salty; and I got medium box with 3 selections of dishes - that's $13.5 with no drinks, and the portion is small... I think it's a bit overpriced with fact that there is a ramen place next door offering $7 a bowl and a Thai place with $12 a meal and many others. They should either be more generous or lift up the food quality to win more customers.

Excellent "authentic" Chinese (spoke to two ladies from Beijing who were very impressed with the quality). Is a cafeteria style so not much choice and the menu can vary from day to day. My main quibble with the place is the limited seating. One of the best lunch places in the area.

Not your pork fried rice Chinese takeout. Delicious food on a rotating menu but slightly pricey. I always want to try everything on the menu and end up ordering more than I can eat. And They have (spicyyy!) pigs ears! Mustard greens had a good crunch and mild flavor and comes with edamame. The fish is soft, not much left to chew! I can always make a second lunch out of the medium (3 options with rice).

Easily the best Chinese restaurant in the Financial District (though I don't know of others). The food here is delicious and portions are substantial and at a very reasonable price. The egg and tomato makes a great meat alternative!
