D.C.’s 16 Best Sports Bars | Eater DC

"The nationwide chain brought Navy Yard an immersive sports-watching experience spanning 8,000 square feet, complete with two-pound portions of wings, icy drafts served in huge steins, room for 400 inside and out, and 100 TVs that include central oversized “stadium” screens. Tom’s also has another locale in National Harbor. Its first D.C. location in Chinatown has closed." - Tierney Plumb

The 12 Best Burgers In DC 2024

"You gave up McDonald’s ages ago (except for the occasional after-club snack), so you haven’t had a quarter pounder with cheese in a while. Enter Tom’s Watch Bar—a sports bar so deep down the rabbit hole that it has its own sports channel playing events you’ve probably never heard of. The All-American burger comes with the basics: gooey American cheese, mustard, ketchup, and pickles on a buttery brioche bun. And unlike that #3 you’ve been craving, the juicy patty is made of actual beef. It’s a burger that’s looking to win you over with its easygoing, down home nature, not to schmooze you with its good looks and fancy toppings (unlike your latest Tinder date). Pair it with the tater tots and a brew while you watch ear pull and slippery stairs on the screen." - tristiana hinton, omnia saed

Everyone was very friendly, I want to start with that. As someone with restaurant experience the first thing that I noticed was the menu appeared to have never been wiped down or lately. The bar was dirty, the surface, the caddies, as well as the bar menus. I was always trained to wipe them all down everyday. The glass that I had with water in it had a flavor around the rim, that’s not supposed to be there. The actual drink was good and reasonably priced for the area. I got the Mediterranean salad, no notes, great. The queso, perfect, very expensive to get pita instead of chips. The dips were good as well. The cheese curds are definitely worth the order. Overall good vibe, but once I smelt a garbage smell from the bar and things just not looking very clean…it just ruins it for me.

Tom’s Watch Bar is clearly a go-to spot for fans before and after games, and I recently visited for the first time with friends—grabbing drinks both pre- and post-game. Before the game, a friend and I grabbed a table, which meant we were assigned a server. The place was packed, and service was understandably slow. Our server seemed to be covering nearly the entire floor—including both bar sides and the back—which made it feel like the staff wasn’t prepared for the crowd that comes with a big game. When another friend joined us for a quick drink, we suggested he order directly from the bar. However, bar staff refused, saying they couldn’t take payment since we were seated in a server’s section. Even when we asked to close out and move to the bar, we were told we still had to wait for the server. We ended up ordering just one round and then closing out. I understand the intention of not cutting into server tips, but when service is that slow, it becomes a frustrating experience. After the game, we returned to let the stadium crowd thin out. This time, service was a bit more attentive—the server checked in more frequently during our shorter visit, which was appreciated. One thing that stood out on both visits was how hot it felt inside. Before the game, the doors were closed and the space felt stuffy. After the game, the garage-style doors were open, but instead of providing relief, they let in more warm air, making the space uncomfortable either way. Overall, Tom’s has a fun, energetic vibe and is clearly a popular game-day spot. Just know going in that service may be slow when it’s busy, and the indoor temperature can be less than ideal.

This is my first time in DC. Came here with a group of friends. The place was packed ( not in a bad way). The vibe was nice and the drinks were amazing. The food was good and our waiter was amazing. The only downside was that there was no ac.

Google
I absolutely enjoyed coming here after seeing the Savannah Bananas play at Nats Park. It was PACKED, but we were seated immediately and our waiter Shayla was extremely attentive and kind. I ordered the crispy California chicken sandwich with the loaded tots and **chef’s kiss!**. The crunch on the chicken was crazy and the cheese on the loaded tots was delicious. It was like a pepper jack cheese sauce and the flavor was great!

I usually enjoy strong-flavored and higher-proof cocktails, and Tom’s has always impressed me in that regard. Their bartender is great at crafting bold drinks, and my friends have had some amazing experiences with their creative mixes in the past. However, our most recent visit was disappointing. According to Google Maps, the bar closes at midnight, and we arrived around 11:10 PM on a weekend night. It was quite busy, but the bartender on duty (not the one we’re familiar with) told us it was already last call and refused to make any cocktails—only shots were available. That felt unusual, especially given the time and crowd. One of my friends was visiting from out of state, and I had recommended Tom’s to him with high expectations. Unfortunately, the bartender’s attitude that night left him quite disappointed.

I recently visited Tom’s Watch Bar, and honestly, everything was really good! The atmosphere was lively and perfect for watching the game, with massive screens everywhere so you never miss a moment. The staff was super friendly and attentive, and the service was quick even though the place was pretty packed. The food was a standout—classic bar favorites done right. I especially loved the wings and sliders, and the drinks were well-made and reasonably priced. Whether you're there for a casual night out or game day with friends, Tom’s Watch Bar nails it. Highly recommend if you're looking for great food, great vibes, and an unbeatable sports-viewing experience!

Google
When Silver Diner locks its doors before a concert at Nats Park, Tom's Watch Bar has your back. I'm actually so glad that my sis & I got to experience this place instead of going to Silver Diner! The service was fantastic, the food was AMAZING, the complimentary water pitchers were perfectly chilled, and the music was fun! Plus, all bathrooms are individual unisex rooms, so there's no worries there. Perfect for pre-gaming in air conditioning before sweating all the water out of your body at Nats Park, because Nats Park won't let you have free water 🫠

There isn't a better spot pre and post Nats game. With all the TVs, space and good food, solid spot for football, too!!

Yelp
I went to Tom's to get lunch and I was hit with a not so pleasant surprise. First off, the bartender and the waitress staff were nice. This review is not indicative of the job that they did, but the overall decision and management at Tom's. For those who are not familiar with Initiative 82 here in DC, it was designed to increase the minimum wage for tipped employees from $5.05 to match the minimum wage of non-tipped employees. To skirt around this, Restaurants would add a "service charge" or junk charge to your bill to help pay for these costs. Restaurants in DC (Knead Hospitality) has been sued for this practice. I personally tend to avoid restaurants who do this, but I went to Tom's anyway and was okay with paying the 4% service charge. However, when I got the bill I noticed that I was also being taxed on the 4%. I thought this was odd, because typically you're taxed on food and beverages and not on a service charge. I raised the issue to the bartender who eventually raised it to the manager. I was just hoping for an explanation. Is this standard? Am I crazy? The manager refused to listen, got defensive and in his words "I'm not going to argue with you." He said "all restaurants in DC do this and it was printed on menu." I dine out in DC all the time, so his assertion was incorrect , but I was just curious about being taxed on a service charge. A little bit of grace and patience would've been appreciated, but I get it, food industry is tough. Nonetheless, if this is legal or illegal, I don't know. Just a fair warning, you're going to be asked to pay a 4% service charge for no additional services, 10.25% tax on top of that, and expected to pay a 22% tip for the waitstaff. I don't want to kill this place with a bad review because of one little interaction, as I did have a good experience before this incident. I live in the neighborhood and it with soooooooo many options here, there is absolutely a 0% chance that I'll be back, nor would my friends. To use the manager's word "you have to do what you have to do." That I shall.

Yelp
Great ambiance! A really fun place lots of space really high ceilings and tons of television screens to watch sports! I'm a healthier eater so I didn't find mini greens that I could enjoy. But the bar food is really tasty and my friends had shrimp and burgers and they said it was all really good! But there's very little chicken with the chicken and waffles. Disproportionate in size they should fix that. Our server was really nice. I went to pay for my food at the bar, there wasn't an option to leave her a tip and I didn't have cash. So management needs to fix that piece.

Yelp
I am not a girlie who enjoys watching sports, but I am a girlie who loves a good bar with good service. I came here with a friend for her birthday and was shocked to see the Louisville vs. Kentucky game on. At the time I came I was not drinking so I ordered some Korean BBQ wings and I loved them. They were reasonably priced, they were delicious, and perfect for the occasion. Service was great! They ran individual tabs even though we were a large group so that was appreciated. I can't wait to go back and try a few more items.

Yelp
One of the best spots when in the Navy Yard area to take in the game and some quick eats! My friends and I came here to cat up over the game, drinks and eats. There were plenty of TVs, at every angle and way you turn, that I was able to watch the Sunday NFL lineup and also catch a UFC fight and Canelo boxing match on the big screen. The food was great too. I ordered a Woodford whisky and combination of the Buffalo & Jerk Chicken Wings with loaded fries. The Woodford whisky was smooth and flavorful, the wings were crispy and delicious. I tried a combination of Buffalo and Jerk that I can honestly say they both were juicy and packed full of flavor. I highly recommend this place for watching sports or just hanging out. It's a great place to meet up with friends, and there's always something to watch. Just be sure to come early, as it does get packed! In all great customer service, food and vibe.

Yelp
Stay away!! Overpriced bar food, subpar service (host tried to talked us out of seating outside...why have chairs & tables outside then), and server forgot that he had a table outside and we had to wait forever for service. This place is so mediocre that the kitchen delivered two (2) chips w/ queso, five minutes apart, even though we only ordered one. Damage for two chips/queso appetizers (plus freebie one), two beers, and two drinks=$120.00. Do yourself a favor, pass on this place and pick a different one. There are plenty to choose from.

Yelp
Huge tvs! I'm not even really into sports but it was a fun environment and I was impressed with the setup. The beef tacos were solid & the lavender lemon drop was delicious! I was able to easily swap the vodka in it for tequila. Our server Jade was really great too even at the end of a long, super busy day! Will definitely return!

Yelp
I think despite me not being too much of a sports fan, this place is pretty nice in terms of having fun with friends in a restaurant setting or watching sports with them. Food-wise, it's mostly decent with a couple of good food items that you can get while spending time here. If you're here for sport events such as meeting players, watching sports with friends, or playing one of their indoor simulation sports game in the Topgolf Swing Suites, then this is the place for you. If you're here only for the food, there are better options elsewhere, but in terms of value that this place provides, for the price you pay, you do get some menu items that are delicious. Here's my opinion on each one of them: 1. Deep Dish Nachos: A quite large version of Queso and Chips, and I'd have to say that there's plentiful of guacamole, chicken, and jalapenos mixed with the chips that were shared amongst us, and the proteins are spiced very well. 10/10 in terms of flavor, and I'd say it's one of the very best that I've had. 2. Ahi Tuna Tower: I understand that the restaurant tried to make this cater to people that enjoy poke and sushi, though I think that it falls short on the rice, as it is too bland and lacks flavor, and the rice is hard and dry. However, the presentation is nice. 2/10. 3. Tom's Famous Prime Rib Dip: I enjoy the idea of dipping the burger into the sauce provided, though I'd say that the prime rib portion isn't as tasty, and the meat taste dry despite the buns being seasoned and toasted well. The fries that come with it taste typical of any good fries, but it's not something special. 7.2/10. 4. Crispy Chicken & Cornbread Pancake: I had a taste, and I'd have to say the pancake is nice and sweet, though the chicken that paired with it lacks moisture and is a bit overcooked in terms of having it fried crispy. Felt a bit dry also, though I don't think it affects the overall taste. 7/10 5. Butter-Poached Lobster & Shrimp: The lobster and the shrimp are plentiful and taste great and spiced, though I'd say that I'm not a fan of the cheesy taste that comes with it. 6.8/10. 6. Korean BBQ Wings: A bit too salty in terms of taste for me, though I'd say that less sauce that comes with it will lower the sodium on this dish. 6/10. They have really large drinks, and though I have soda instead, my friends commented that this is the best value they get in terms of alcohol. The servers are really attentive and gets back to us pretty quickly. A few of us went in the suites to play indoor football on the screen and golf, though I wished there's a mechanism to get the ball back to the players. Overall, food is 7.5/10, rounded up for the service!

Yelp
Was honored to participate in a soft opening at this location. The staff were busy and the food was great! I think we got to try almost everything on the menu (benefits of going with a large group). I thought the star of the show was the lobster & shrimp Mac & cheese... this visit it was more like getting some mac and cheese to go with the lobster and shrimp. I do not think it is possible to be in this venue and not see a TV. Great place to get your game on ! They also have two Too golf simulators! It is 1/2 block from the ballpark (Nationals) so stop in for some amazing drinks and food before or after the game or enjoy the game there! We will be back after they get some time under their belts to see how they are doing, but the staff were on the ball tonight both on the court and behind the lines. Nice job! Wishing them the best!

Yelp
This is my second time at Tom's, and it didn't live up to my last visit. I tried the spinach artichoke dip, it was tasty and very cheesy! I really enjoyed that! I went back to a drink I loved the last time, their lavender vodka martini. A dream, as expected! Next, I opted for their honey bbq wings, and they were "okay". They weren't fried hard like I asked for and the flavor didn't wow me. Since Tom's is pretty close by, I know I'll be back but I know I'll be checking out their other menu items instead. They have a cool setup, lots of TV's and interactive games as well.

Yelp
Great spot! It's about a 30 second walk from the Navy Yard Metro Plenty of dining tables and plenty of TVs Tom was in attendance. Very friendly, personable and open! I enjoyed how he made it a point to speak to every table, and more than once The Whisky Lemon was probably my favorite, the Ranch Water was strong AF (but good) and Bourban smash was okay. Lemon drop shot was too sugary for me, but the gummy bear was delish! I liked the Korean Wings, Nachos the most Bathrooms are Unisex single person The staff were amazing! I'll be back!

Yelp
Had the pleasure of attending Tom's during their soft open Friends and Family event. It was a busy day, energetic day and it was overall good time! Here some of my takeaways: Environment Tom's is a huge space with plenty of seating for casual dining and for drinks at the bar. There are TVs galore so you'll have no trouble catching a game or two from any different angle. It's a perfect place in the neighborhood for a large sports viewing space with friends and family. Service Service was a bit hectic but expected for a soft opening with all of their staff and a bunch of customers coming in at all times. I had to move tables a few times but my server ended up being very nice, vibrant and friendly. Food and Drinks For the family and friends soft opening we had a choice of a shared appetizer and an entree for each of us. We had the tacos, burgers, tater tots and the corn. All the food was good and great innovative bar food for a sports outing. I would def come back to try other things on the menu. Overall Overall my experience at Tom's was great. Like the other locations they offer great options for food and drinks that will serve you well for a night or day out with friends watching games. I'm glad they are in the neighborhood!

Yelp
Tom's Watch Bar is a warm and inviting place to visit. My wife loves their sparkling wine and the service. My wife is a director in the industry and knows excellent service and recognizes great talent. Zanina asked us to stop by when we were walking by. We thought "sure" and glad we did. Zanina is a Queen vibe. They have checked on us in a way you check on a friend that's new to your school. With a very organic and kind approach we have been able to experience the vibe of the city from their open patio. Riece with the "lovely hair" is a kind spirit. Attentive and gentle. You can't teach people how to care. They either do or they don't. They care at Tom's Watch Bar. Be sure you come by and see the team here at Tom's Watch Bar. They love what they do and they do it with a personal touch.

Yelp
Walked in with a party of 8. They sat us at two tables of four. We waited 15 minutes for a waiter, went to the hostess and asked for a waiter/waitress and they never came. We finally walked out after waiting 20 minutes to be greeted at our table. Do not recommend.

Yelp
Great food, good drinks, very friendly service, but not exactly happy with my experience there. The point of my visit was to watch a Copa America match on their big screens along with the audio. All week long their instagram was advertising that they would be showing all of the summer soccer tournaments (Euros & Copa America) at this bar, so I thought it'd be a good idea to gather some friends and watch it here. I was unfortunately very disappointed and would've rather saved my time and money and watched it at home. Upon arriving, I asked the hostess if we could have the game shown on one of the big screens and sat us in front of one. Keep in mind, the bar was more on the emptier side than busy. I asked if the audio for the game could be shown as they were playing the music from a music video on one of the smaller TVs and they said they'd ask their manager. Our waitress eventually came and took our order for drinks, and I asked her as well if the audio for the game we came to see could be played, and same thing, she said she'd speak with her manager. I eventually hear the music that was originally playing turn off and the audio for one of the TVs begin to play but noticed quickly it was not for the game I asked, instead a hockey game for a group of people that showed up after us.. I then asked the waitress again if the audio could be played for the game I had requested and said we specifically came here because of the ads we kept seeing from the bar's instagram page, and eventually nothing came of that and we were forced to listen to another game's audio while watching the game we came to see. It was extremely frustrating because I noticed this group of people request for the hockey game but arrived much later than us, and I had already asked 2-3 to have the audio played for the game we came to see. Totally understand soccer isn't that big here in the states, but they shouldn't have advertised the bar showing those games if they were barely going to have any screens showing it, or the audio playing alongside it. My group all came wearing our jerseys to support our team and the experience felt very stale.. Probably won't be returning to watch a game here in the future.

Yelp
I came here to watch some football with friends recently and enjoyed the very large space with all the TV's. It's definitely a happening place on a game day. Even though it was busy, the table service was spot on.

Yelp
Really nice staff and good vibe. Great place to watch a game. I wasn't the biggest fan of the tenders with Nashville hot sauce but next time I'll probably order the wings.

Yelp
I wish I could give this place more stars. I'm big on customer service and a lot of the staff aren't up to the task. They are either spaced out or in a mood... I do say the drinks that were made came out pretty good.. also the wings are great. I prefer the Asian wings.. I actually had a better time at Tom's when I went to a Yelp elite event where they were hands on and in a more cheerful mood! I'm hoping to return in the future since food and drinks are good already. Just need a better team to get the energy going.

Yelp
Great place, great food, pop music playing and big TVs! You should come here. Very close to stadium

Yelp
We went to Tom's for the first time to test it out for football Sunday, and it is definitely a great spot. When you arrive the TV's show what game will play on what TV. We situated ourselves in front of the game we wanted to watch, and there was a small mishap where they played the wrong game that wasn't advertised as playing on that TV, but they quickly rectified the issue once brought to their attention. I must add the bar chairs are some of the most comfy I have ever sat in. We got their spinach artichoke dip, wings, and shrimp and fries, and their potions are huge! You can def order and share because their portions are larger than other bars in the area. Even though the bar was crowded it didn't feel too squished compared to other places, and the service at the bar was amazing. We had Kenz and she was so attentive, and really knew the menu and things to recommend. Highly recommend going if in the area and looking for a place to watch sports.

Carlos C.

Yelp
Went to Tom's for dinner after meetings. It was was a nice setting and fairly empty, so service was prompt. Our party of 8 all ordered drinks, which came quickly. They did have a problem with their beer taps when we ordered a second round, so we had to change things up. Food was good and came quickly. There are a lot of options in the area around the National's stadium to try, but Tom's is a reliable choice.

Yelp
I just had the waste no service ever. I sit at the small bar with four chairs behind the main bar. Two gentleman were already sitting in two seats and I took the third seat. I hear them asking each other where their waitress. The waitress shows up speak with the guys and walks off. The waitress is gone for a good twenty minute, comes back and speak with the guys again. She look me in the eye and holds up a finger. Another waitress walks by, backs up and ask have I been helped. No I relate and she asked the waitress at the table/bar to provide me service. Well after the waitress speaking with the gentleman at the table, she walks off. Well I got to watch the third quarter of the game.

Nice spot but overpriced beer and food is alright You're paying for all the flatscreens and area.

Yelp
The service received at Tom's Watch Bar is unmatch. Darius, Lala, Jordan, Koran and Brandie are exception staff! We were brought shots with the most enthusiasm - felt like bottle service! Also, Koran found my phone In the bathroom. The food is also pretty exceptional. The fish and chips were to die for, and the wings were out of this world! We also had a ton of fun with the golf simulator and they're always seemed like there was something to do, something to eat, or something to drink! I will be coming back to this bar time and time again!

Yelp
As much as I'd love to, I'm unable to recommend this establishment until they iron out their service and communication. We ordered two 40oz draft beers at 12:55pm. No updates from our waiter until we inquired at 1:25pm. He checked back and let us know both beers ordered were out -- okay, no problem. We ordered two different beers. At 1:45pm we had no beers and no communication regarding what was going on. I found a manager and he let me know they were backed up in the bar but offered no resolution other than to send the beer over soon. Lastly, we ordered two flavors of wings, only for each type to be delivered 30 minutes apart. After that, upon closing out, we were told that the menu pricing for wings was actually not honored today and they neglected to inform us. Had to escalate to have this rectified. This place has a great layout and high potential, but lack of service accountability and manager empathy makes it unlikely to return soon. At the elevated price point (even for Navy Yard) my party expected more.

Yelp
In this city where we have been struggling to find good service Mikey has been a shining star. Multi-talented and committed to his customers Tom's DC Watch bar rules.

Yelp
This place is no different from the chinatown location. They still don't really care about sports. I had to ask them to put the Caps game on and it took 20 minutes. Among other atrocities. There was an alum bowl game watch party here for alum and they were just barely invested. Try to care about sports please! You advertise it. Food is good. And $5 shots is nice. But just like chinatown it wont make up for the false sports bar advertisement.

Yelp
my go to sports bar when i'm in town. we particularly appreciate Michael's (batender) fun, and welcoming energy. Food a step above typical bar food. my go to's are the wiings, nachos with the short rib (queso on the side) and pickle brined chicken. get there early if you want a good spot on football sundays

Based on reviews we were looking forward to our experience at Tom's Watch Bar. Folks at the host stand were disorganized. After our group was seated, it didn't get any better, and we had to step back out to the host stand after 15 min of waiting for a server. Once we did manage to have a server visit our table, we all immediately ordered our appetizers and entrees. We received our appetizers but our server never brought us utensils, napkins, or plates... they came around to check on our table much later. We also asked multiple staff members why were unable to hear the actual NFL game playing on all screens? The entire time all we could hear was the show Survivor playing on the small screens. Once it was time for our entrees to be brought out, one of the entrees never came out even after we told our server. Only positive was that they were able to remove it from our bill (as our group made the decision to leave). We were seriously so disappointed in the restaurants inability to handle a busy playoffs night. From mishaps with our food experience to not even being able to hear the game on the tvs. I thought this was supposed to be a sports bar? It didn't really fit the bill. We won't be back. But if y'all enjoy listening to pop music during a sports game? Go for it.

Yelp
I went to Tom's Watch for a late lunch. I was immediately blown away by the number of big screens throughout the establishment, which had a high-end sports bar ambiance. I had the Jamaican Jerk wings, which were cooked to perfection and had the right amount of heat. They offered an array of shots, which may be a little pricey for some. I had a long island tea, which hit the mark! The bartenders were extremely attentive and continuously ensured I was good. Cagney was particularly pleasant and provided exceptional service. I look forward to returning during happy hour!

Yelp
Love this sports bar - best food, best ambiance, and great service! Real sports fans (which can be hard to find in DC!!) Reese was the best waitress for our never ending orders and accommodations. Thank you so much Reese!! :) This will be our regular spot no doubt. ORDER THE POTSTICKERS

Yelp
I came to watch a game with my family for the first time here. Had a great time! The food was good but the atmosphere created was better. One of the managers, Skylar, came by and asked how everything was. We told him it was our first time and he made sure to make us feel welcome and at home, excellent service. Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
You better get in there early on Sundays if you want to watch football. I would suggest no later than 11AM to lock in your seat

Yelp
There's potential for this place. First time here tonight to watch the UFC fights. Our server was a nice woman, although we were there for probably 4 hours and she checked on us 4 times. Drinks were empty everytime she came back, food came out wrong. I went to use the restroom and the table by the bar entrance was literally just staff in their work uniforms just chatting. The menu was all over the place, the staff were flat out rude, the food was mediocre and the drinks took entirely way too long for the price. We visited to watch the UFC fights, as the main card was starting last call at the bar was called....... The fights didn't end for another hour, mind you all of the staff were loud, cleaning, and overall unwelcoming during this time period. We never received cups with our water carafe that we had to ask for, which was then taken before the fights ended. Security was trying to escort all guests out before they had even announced the winner for the fights. Overall a terrible experience, I would never recommend this place to anyone nor come back. I hope this place can get it together sometime soon.

Yelp
I have had very unfortunate experiences here the last two weekends. Last Saturday, I arrived to watch the MMA fights happening in Dubai, which have a strange start time because of time zone. I was directed to sit at a bar that I was informed, twenty minutes after I sat down, was not open until 4 pm. I waited until 4 pm and not 5 minutes after that, I was instructed that I had to vacate my seat, as the final fight started, because someone rented the half of the bar I was in starting at 5 pm. I left without ever having been able to place an order. Today, I arrived before the 1 pm slate of games. My waitress took a while to get over to me, about 10 minutes. I then placed an order of the buffalo chicken sandwich and a side of fries with her that took 89 minutes to arrive at my table. I recognize that it was busy, but at about the 30 minute mark I was told that I am just waiting on fries. At the 45 minute mark, I got the attention of a person I believe to be a manger. He said he would check on my order, and then never came back once after that to speak with me. At 89 minutes my food finally arrived. My waitress was apologetic and expressed that she didn't believe I should pay for something that took that long, but the manager didn't think it important to come speak to someone after interacting with them 45 minutes earlier. I live in the area, and have to say that based off these two experiences I will be spending my time

Yelp
I can't hold most sports bars to the standard of this place because most owners can't afford a massive space in a spot like Navy Yard with giant video walls, modern decor and everything else Tom's offers. That aside: this is immediately one of the best sports bars in DC, without question. Went on a Saturday night and it was packed - there was some kind of Michigan State alum Eventbrite thing going on. Even with that, service at the bar was speedy. Got Fish and Chips and it was excellent. I've eaten a lot of fish and chips in the DC area in the 20+ years of living here and this was up there. Buddy of mine got loaded tots - also really good. 7 unisex bathrooms (apparently someone figured out gendered bathrooms in newly-opened places are stupid and creates lines). Super clean too. Perhaps one of the best things, though - the game sound was on for the Michigan v Michigan State game but during commercials the audio was muted and instead they played music (including Go Go). That's how you do it in Washington DC. I don't know if it was just for this event but I've been to bars around the country where TV audio is muted during ads to play music so hopefully it's standard practice. Looking forward to going here for NFL and college football as much as I can this season. What a great addition to Navy Yard.

Yelp
Tom's Watch Bar at the Navy Yard is the best because of the Bartender Octavia wonderful and amazing place when she's there!

Yelp
stopped in to eat and watch MNF on the last day of vacation - best salad I've had in a while! The staff seemed new but were very kind. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had a GREAT time here! We sat at the bar to watch college football and had the best experience possible. Cirina, our bartender, was so attentive, kind, and absolutely amazing! Security is awesome and we felt safe and taken care of. We didn't have any food but the food we saw looked and smelled delicious. The drinks we got were strong and the beers are filled to the TOP. The ambiance is lively and feels like we're at the game. Would absolutely come back!

Yelp
We went on a Sunday morning they had a buffet option for $42 a person but we just ordered from the regular menu. They gave out free shots because someone "famous" was there. Great ambiance the music was loud they had a dj on the floor. Alllll the servers smiled they really seemed happy which made us feel good being there! This was back in November and the Commanders were playing. They had so many TV screens! Would def. go again when I visit the area.

Yelp
Food is good. Service was awful. Took them 10-minutes to tell us they didn't have the prime rib dip available, which was after they started bringing out the other food. Then they even tried billing us for the sand which that never came. Very sport friendly atmosphere.

Yelp
Octavia has giving me the most welcoming service that I've had in years. Great job if she's not here I don't want to come

Yelp
Very disappointed. When to the DC location at about 10:45 on a Saturday morning. Ask the lady that was on the sidewalk preparing the patio for business. If there were open she said yes. You can go in. As we reached the front door the hostess said they were not open yet. I pause for moment in confusion and exited the building. As we left the build the restaurant security ask if we're thing was ok and we told him the hostess said you are not open yet. The security guy also looked puzzled as we exit the building. We walked around the corner and returned to the outside of the restaurant to wait until 11:00 am. The same lady from earlier and the security guard saw us outside and invited us back inside the restaurant.
