Tom Tom is the latest in a long line of Bravo-powered bars that are quickly erasing all traces of authentic queer culture in West Hollywood. Is Tom Tom even a gay bar? It doesn’t matter—it’s a bad bar, full of straight girls on vacation who think gay men are tourist attractions. And yet, this steampunk-themed atrocity still manages to be slightly better than Lisa’s other properties, simply because there are weird mechanical clocks you can stare at while you contemplate if you’re part of the problem." - brant cox

"Unlike SUR, Tom Tom has food and cocktails that are quite decent. But on the whole, most things are still terrible. The tandoori chicken is just grilled chicken on room temperature pita, and the sliders are 95% hamburger bun. The cocktails are weak and uninventive, and the steampunk/clock aesthetic just kind of feels like you’re on the Snow White ride at Disneyland. Verdict: At least this one has a clock over the bar to let you know how much time you’ve wasted." - brant cox
"This list would be void if we didn’t put at least one Lisa Vanderpump restaurant on it, so we’re choosing Pump. The gaudy restaurant in the heart of Boystown looks like it was designed by a Victorian ghost with a chandelier fetish (which, come to think of it, is a pretty good way to describe LVP), and the crowd is mostly comprised of tourists looking for Bravo! celebrities. While most of the food is best eaten with your nose plugged, there’s no denying the expensive cocktails are both good and strong. After four or five or six of them, it’ll hit you - this place is pretty fun." - brant cox, brett keating
