Tonkotsu Ramen Opens New London Restaurant in Peckham | Eater London

"Founded in 2013 by Emma Reynolds and Ken Yamada as an offshoot of an earlier, now-closed restaurant, this group has grown into London's largest and most commercially successful ramen chain. It is best known for rich, creamy white broths, toppings such as chashu pork or karaage, and the cult-followed 'Eat the Bits' chilli oil. Backed by a £5 million investment from YFM, expansion is accelerating — a tenth London site is due to open in Peckham this September with two more sites expected by year-end — even as it navigates competition from smaller chains and well-regarded independents. Came here a couple of times now. I have to say the food is never disappointing. I will say ask for these three staff members; they are as good as gold. Yes, it was busy, but they will look after you. Alfarse, Mahin, Jess. They are a star, and the chefs are world-class.

Hidden spot in Peckham ! Was recommended to go and absolutely enjoyed it , the service was really good and the food was amazing aside from one hiccup. The waitress was able to explain the Weekday lunch menu to us and the differences in bowls. Even though it was a first time trying I was a little bit disappointed with finding hair in the edamame, the waitress was quick to rectify this and replace with a new one. Definitely would visit again

Had a great and refreshing experience at Tonkotsu Peckham! Tried their special 2-for-£12 cocktail menu – loved the Cherry Blossoms Martini (non-alcoholic, sweet with a creative touch) and the Japanese Gin Martini with pineapple juice – perfect summer vibes 🍸🍍 The Chilli Ketchup Wings (£5) were crispy, crunchy, and tender – so satisfying! Also loved the Seasonal Chilled Ramen with cherry tomatoes and ponzu – light, tangy, and full of flavor. Big shout-out to Ella for her amazing service – so caring and thoughtful! She even suggested serving the non-alcoholic drink first with the wings, followed by the alcoholic one. Made the whole experience even better 💯 Highly recommend for great food, drinks, and genuinely lovely service!

I love this place, if I’m ever in the mood for ramen when I’m in Peckham this is the place I come to and Pal is always such a welcoming personality who always pushes me to try new things! He recommended the kodakara and I loved it. Will be getting it again.

I went for a ramen yesterday when the restaurant was very busy, but despite the rush the staff still looked after us so well. We never felt overlooked, and everyone was friendly and attentive. Really appreciated the great service even during peak time!

I over fed myself! The food was delicious and we we were served by the lovely Mahin! She was so attentive and caring, welcomed us with such a gracious smile! And the food was excellent, exceptional and tasty! Will be back again! Thank you
