"Tony Mandola’s, a renowned seafood restaurant in Houston, closed its original location on July 28 after a decade of operation. The restaurant was known for its bountiful raw bar and excellent service, garnering a loyal customer base. Plans are in place to reopen at a new location at 1017 Houston Avenue, in a space formerly occupied by Avenue Grill. The new location is expected to continue the restaurant’s legacy, although a reopening date has not yet been announced." - Amy McCarthy
"Raw or grilled oysters are $1 each at this Houston icon during happy hour which runs Sunday through Friday 3 to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday 4 to 6:30 p.m. Upgrade to Rockefeller varieties with spinach and hollandaise for $3, or the Damian, which is deep-fried with pico de gallo on top for $2.50." - Amy McCarthy
