This has been my FAV Thai restaurant for years! The food never missed! We always get seated and served quickly. Prices are very affordable with a lot of dishes being $13-$15. Me and my family of 3 can usually eat for $60 bucks! Parking is never an issue. Some of my recommended dishes - Basil fried rice with shrimp (add spice to a level 4) - beef pad prick king - Tony Wings - Tiger cry - garlic chicken - THAI TEA 🧋

Google
Thai food is one of my favorite to enjoy outside of the house, and I've been hearing a LOT of great things about this place, so I was quite excited to visit. This is by far the BEST Thai I've had ever, and the service was fast, super friendly, and prices were great! I def recommend every1 try this spot if you haven't! A+++++

Google
Amazing ambiance with decorations from Thailand! My personal favorites there are the Garlic Salmon, Tony Wings, and Steamed Fish (they bring it in a metal fish boat with a flame below so it continues to stay warm and bubbly at the table). Mango Rice and Creme Brulee for dessert... I've had creme brulee in many restaurants all over the country and this by far my favorite texture and flavor. Very attentive service. They anticipated the needs of our table to make a truly enjoyable dining experience. I know the owner Tony personally. He is a genuinely great guy. Help support one of the good ones.

Google
My family and I went to dinner at Tony Thai tonight. It was fairly busy for a Wednesday night. We ordered some Tom Yum Kung with shrimp, Tiger Cry, Grilled Squid, and Crispy Pork (Pad Pak Bong) The crispy pork and the soup were really good. A little different from standard Tom Yum soups, but we enjoyed it. The Tiger Cry was tasty, but the meat was a little overdone and so was the squid. We had 2 different waiters...the first one was a little impatient, but the guy who eventually took over from her was quick and efficient.

Google
There is a variety of Thai food to choose , with exquisite preparation and there will give you a lot . I recommend coming with a large group and ordering multiple dishes, as all the dishes are delicious.

Google
I been coming here since 2010. I always get great and speedy service. The food is fingerlickin good. Nice vibe inside. Beginning to wonder tho if its under new management. Noticed some changes here. But still a good place to eat. My go-to meals are the Beef Namtok and Beef Pad See Eew.

Google
It’s strange that I haven’t been here ever or in so long that I’ve forgotten…either way, really good Thai that I need to go back to (maybe today) to try some other stuff. The pad prik king with chicken was fantastic. The Tony wings were also good, but not really Thai. :)

Andy Imperial

Google
This spot is most in this area, the dishes recommended where amazing and the drinks too. The wings are some of the best if not the best in the city. Great michelada and incredible mocktails, I’ll try the drinks next time! The food and drinks was enough to rate them 5 stars but the service really took it over the top. The team checked on us and took care of every need even though it’s a super fast paced environment. I freaking loved it!

Yelp
Today was our first time at Tony's, we had a great experience and the food was excellent plus the service was top notch, definitely we are coming back again in the near future, menu pictures look very nice but nothing like the real thing, food looks way better than menu pictures, ..

Yelp
My family and I have been coming to Tony Thai for years since it opened. It's a Bellaire staple for many and for good reason! The portions are hefty and prices are good! It's hard finding an affordable Thai restaurant these days but Tony Thai is exactly that! We ordered the pad see ew, the stir fried green beans and the Tom yum soup. I love their Tom yum soup. It's a dish that my family always orders when we go here. Service is alright, sometimes a bit disorganized and slow but I would attribute that to how busy they are. They have lots of decor in the restaurant which is a nice touch. The restaurant is located in the same plaza as Kim Son on Bellaire and in the far corner. You won't miss it! There's also plenty of parking right out front. Come here for decently priced Thai food if you're ever in Bellaire!

Yelp
Tony Thai is definitely one of my favorite Thai restaurants around here. I've been going here for years. I eat here at least a few times a month, either in person or for to-go. The dishes here are simple, authentic, and really tasty. The restaurant can get pretty packed on the weekends though, but if you don't go during dinner rush, it's not bad at all. The service is always fast, and the servers have always been attentive. I always have to order the chicken yellow curry, pork pad see ew, and garlic salmon, but I also love their other dishes as well, such as the garlic pork, pad kee mao, tiger cry, fried rice, and more. Included are photos of the garlic salmon, pork pad see ew, garlic pork, and chicken yellow curry. The prices have gone up over the years, but they are still definitely fair for what you get. The portion sizes are good for the price. It's definitely my go-to for Thai foods in Chinatown.

Yelp
Tony Thai is always a staple for my friends and I. We've been going here for years and the food is always consistently delicious. I've never had a disappointing meal here at Tony Thai. The first time my friend ever invited me to Tony Thai, she described the catfish chili sauce as a crispy fried fish with the most delicious chili sauce on top. If we ever go here with a group of 4 people or more, we'll end up getting two plates of the catfish with chili sauce because it's just that good. I always ask them to put extra sauce on top of the fish too. If you're having a to go order, be sure to ask for the sauce on the side so the fish doesn't get soggy on the way home. The catfish chili sauce has some veggies mixed in with it too like bell peppers and eggplant. The eggplant with the chili sauce is so delicious and compliments the fish so well. This dish also comes with a side of rice to soak up the sauce. We also always get the pad see eww that you can get with either beef or chicken. Each noodle is coated beautifully in oil and is packed with so much umami and the oilly noodles taste so good with the firm veggies in the dish. Sometimes we'll get the basil fried rice too for people who are rice people and not noodle people. Each grain of rice is also beautifully coated in oil and packed with lots of flavor. The flavor of the basil complements the rice really well.

Yelp
I was in the area looking for a place for lunch and saw this place while driving. It's a pretty big place and has lots of seatings. Since I was alone I decided to do a to-go. After a couple of recommendations from the server, I decided to order their Tom him fried rice. They told me it'll take 15 mins but it was ready in 5-7. I came back to the office and opened the box - it was full, their quantity is huge. It was hot and looked fresh! The taste was exactly what the server had said it would be - sweet and tangy. The rice and chicken were very flavorful and the present was great!

Yelp
This place had great Thai food and service with lots of seating available. My friends and I did family style and still had some leftovers so the portions are decent. We got the beef pad see ew, which was good but too salty for my liking. We also got the chicken fried rice and the Tony wings, which had really good flavors overall. I would for sure recommend the fried rice and wings if you ever come here.

Yelp
Great place in Chinatown that serves up many Thai dishes. Tony Thai has been a Chinatown staple for some time now. I've been here a few times with great results. The interior is nice and bright during the day. The lunch specials are gone, but prices and portions are really good, and one can easily split a dish. I really enjoyed the pad thai and pad prick king fish on my last visit. The pad thai had great flavor and pieces of fried tofu, the fish had a nice crisp texture. We asked for both dishes to be medium, but no spice was detected, so we had to alter them ourselves. They do offer take away goodies as well as ingredients to make your own dishes, a bit out of place, but whatever. This is definitely not a place to be missed.

Yelp
I went to T T for the first time tonight. I ordered the Red Curry with chicken and it was great, mildly spicy for a little kick, mildly sweet, herby and delicious for the most part. One of the best Thai red curries within the city of Houston itself. The gravy was great. The chicken pieces were plentiful and properly cooked as were most of the bamboo shoots and eggplant chunks. There were some hard, drier bamboo pieces, but not too many or anything. The sauce had some ginger I think in the mix which was nice, but also contained one very discrete aroma I wasn't crazy about. It was very subtle amongst the rest of the flavor profile though. The red curry was also a tad sweeter than I prefer too, but not overdone. The rice was sticky not really jasmine, but a perfect match with the curry regardless and very generous in portion size. Overall, I can say it was a great red curry. Great, welcoming service on this visit.

Yelp
Good food, good service, good price, huge portions 10/10 recommended!! Love this place!!!

Yelp
Last time I came to Tony's was before the pandemic and it was less than okay. I decided to come on Christmas day since a lot of places were closed. They sat us quickly, took our order and brought out our food pretty fast. I'm not sure what changed but everything was CRAZY GOOD and the portions were HUGE! The wings were so crispy and saucy just like how i like them. And the pad thai was the right amount of spicy it was soo good. I really recommend everyone to give them a second try because it's was great!

Yelp
Loved its Latna which is cooked with plenty of smoky flavor from the open wok. Reminds one of the bustling streets Bangkok is known for when this dish is likely made. Soup noodle was a bit disappointing as it is nothing like what we had from Thailand... maybe just somewhat of a resemblance... mango and sticky rice which one would love as it is the season but the mango used was a wrong type and it does not have the full flavor... so rating would be a mediocre one at best.

Yelp
Great little restaurant to enjoy some Thai food. Service is always pleasant and the place is kept clean.

Yelp
Fried pork was not fresh. It tasted old and dipped in sauce. Garlic pork was decent. Chicken on stick was not grilled looked boiled. Restroom hadn't been cleaned in a while. Layers of dust were very visible. Definitely needs to be cleaned and organized.

Yelp
Today I met up with another friend group to tackle our monthly meet up to try new food spots. Tony Thai was extremely easy to find and has ample parking. As usual, I was late, so I am not sure if my friends had to wait a while to be seated, though I doubt it since no one complained. Anyway, the restaurant was clean and noise level was just right. Of course, I started off with green tea, which was DELICIOUS! I loved that our server always made sure that my tea cup was refilled, the attentiveness of the staff was extremely warming, and I noticed that this was done for other tables too. For starters, I ordered the shrimp rolls, and my girlfriends had the chicken dumplings and Tony wings. Thankfully, we didn't have to wait long to get our appetizers; my shrimp rolls were crispy and the paired sauce was wonderful. I only eat fish/seafood, but my friends LOVE their starters, especially the Tony wings- those were devoured instantly. Houston was extremely cold today, so I ordered the Tom Yum noodle soup. MY GOODNESS- it was absolutely delightful! It was the perfect balance of spice, citrus and heat, plus the portion was H U G E! I was so happy I ordered this dish, my friends had a taste and agreed. Of course, I had to also order my staple shrimp pad see eew. Just like the soup, the portion was huge; enough for the 3 of us to taste and still have enough to take home. Trust me- I devoured the leftover soup for dinner and I am low key excited to have my pad see eew for tomorrow's lunch! My friends also ordered shrimp pad Thai, barbecue chicken and garlic green beans. I can personally account for the deliciously seasoned and crisp green beans, and my friends confirmed that their dishes were extremely enjoyable, their favorite being the shrimp pad Thai. As you can guess from this lengthy review- I will DEFINITELY be coming back. I highly recommend the Tom Yum noodle soup during the cold weather days and/or sick days. My only sadness was that they didn't offer hot Thai tea. I hope that next time I will save enough room to try their dessert!

Yelp
It's been 5 years since I been back here. I wanted the steam fish and this place makes it really good. The lemon broth that it's cooked with tastes really good. It's on the pricy side but I can probably finish a fish myself. The pad Thai we order was great and not too sweet. Obviously I always get papaya salad spicy but it was average spicy. It a huge and plenty for 2 people that we took home. I gave it to my friend but I think fried chicken would have been great with it. I'm come back again eventually.

Yelp
Ordered Togo last night, the Green curry was flavorful and shrimp fried rice was delicious. After the meal though, I feel weird and my mouth/lips became way too dry. I'm not sure what it was but it lasted approximately 1-2 hrs. It could be I just recovered from Covid and was a bit so hurry to get into spicy food. Other than that I think it's a good place to dine.
google avatar

Yelp
When we crave for Thai food, we'd come here and know they we'd be happy every time. It could get super packed on weekends and the staff is stretched thin but service is swift. Some of our fav dishes are pad thai, pad see ew, house wings, papaya salad, tôm yum soup and noodle and mango and sticky rice dessert.
google avatar

Brandie H.

Yelp
The food is absolutely amazing. I got the garlic pork but asked for chicken instead. I also asked to make it extra spicy, which they did. It is a bit of a drive for me, but it was worth it.
google avatar

Marcia S.

Yelp
I work over in this area and had the opportunity to try several items on the menu. The pad Thai with chicken was great, the other thing I should have minus the peanuts. The food is nice a flavorful, and if you ask for spicy then they bring the spice! The service was great and fast, no complaints in that area. The also catered a couple office event and they give you a lot of food. I noticed that a lot of people do come here so it stays busy. There are plenty more items on the menu that I want to try, so I will be back!

Yelp
My family always enjoys this place, service is friendly and efficient. Food is consistently good and the restaurant is always clean

Yelp
Waitress, come and tell me can you keep a 3 year old child quiet? I don't understand the problem, my child just sits and plays and watches movies, they said it might make noise for some other guests at 9:00 pm, they reported at the beginning of the meal, making it impossible for this food, This is disgusting, 0 point !
google avatar

Josie N.

Yelp
My uncle took us here to try and the wait for the dishes was super long and two waiters came in and out asking us what we need or what they forgot but totally didn't do anything about it. Mistaken food dishes a couples took it back and prob.... Served it to the correct table im pretty sure... gross... all in all the food is mid. It's not great it's just whatever.

Yelp
I went to this restaurant for a delivery pick up once & saw that it was packed & decided to add it to my list of places I'd try. I did check out yelp reviews before deciding on it. Saw some good looking items on reviews. I figured to start with the wings & Pad Thai (although I always get the shrimp or chicken Pad Thai when ordering). Moral of the post, it was not good at all. I threw the rest out. The flavor was lacking big time. I had to doctor it a little. And they didn't quite list what the "Combination" consist of. There was what looked like strips of tofu, beef shrimp that was dry some chicken. It was terrible. I only liked the flavor of the wings, they were really Breaded & crunchy with sauce. Not sure if I'm down to try this spot again. I had the Thai tea as well & it was just okay.

Pamela S.

Yelp
We had been wanting to try this restaurant for some time. The wings and pad Thai were great. I didn't love the green curry as it didn't have enough of the sweetness I like from the coconut milk. The service was solid and the food was served fresh and hot.

Jazmin C.

Yelp
Amazing food and service... my first time trying Thai food and it was delicious.. I highly recommended this place..
google avatar

Faiza Z.

Yelp
Been a long-time customer of theirs and I love their food every time. Service was quick and the inside is cozy. My favorite thing to order is the Pad Kee Mao aka drunken noodles. Make it spicy hot if you like heat!
google avatar

Gin Y.

Yelp
This spot is more of a 3.5 star rating for me. Customer service was pretty good. But, their dishes were on the sweeter side, which I didn't care for. Here's a breakdown of the dishes we ordered: Thai fish cakes (4/5): I think this was on par with Thai Bistro. Good texture, ample lemongrass flavor, and tangy sauce. The sauce was still kind of on the sweet side. Grilled squid (4/5): I can actually get past the sweetness of the sauce coating the squid here because it had a wonderful smokey flavor and just cooked to the right texture. The chili sauce on the side will help with cutting the sweetness and add a good amount of heat. It's spicy. Pad Kee Mao (3.5/5): I asked for my dish to have chicken and tofu; and for it to be spicy. Well, it wasn't spicy at all. It had just enough flavor from the wok and the basil. It was kinda sweet. The chicken was ok, but the tofu was tough, since they used the fried tofu that you would use for hot pot. I wonder if they used a slightly less chewy tofu, the dish would be more cohesive. Otherwise, they had large portions, enough for lunch the next day. Yay. We came earlier on a weeknight for dinner and there were few people inside and spaced far enough apart. Later into the dinner, more people came in for dinner and it wasn't comfortable for me anymore. I immediately wore my mask, packed my leftovers and left. Tip is to try to come for an early dinner to beat the crowds, or just get your food to go. Next time, I plan to try out their curry dishes. I won't hesitate to ask for it to be Thai hot, since their spicy wasn't even spicy.
google avatar

Tony T.

Yelp
Food here is pretty good. I usually get the pad Thai, pad see ew, tiger cried, or the curry. Everything is good. Service is decent there, they always listen and are very helpful. It's very chill there, like for casual dining and family style dinner. Recommend!
google avatar

Patrick W.

Yelp
This review is for vegetarians. The tofu they they use for their vegetarian dishes are disgusting. They are deep fried thin slices of bean curd tofu. Since it's bean curd tofu mainly used for hot pot, it absorbs a lot of the liquid it is cooked with. So guess what? It absorbs all the oil that it is deep fried with. It is so tough that it is like eating beef jerky. I do not recommend going here if you're vegetarian.
google avatar

Calvin D.

Yelp
Love Tony Thai! Great tasting food and service was great when I had a party of 7. Recommend trying their Thai tea as a beverage and their pad noodles, fried rice, wings are fan favorites! Portions of food are generous in my eyes and will most likely have leftovers to bring back home! It is more of a "family style" type restaurant. Awesome Thai place for a family meal and definitely recommend making a stop here!

Yelp
Food is not edible went there twice Both times really disappointed So sad this place is still open
google avatar

Yelp
Tony Thai was a rec by a friend and it did not disappoint! The restaurant was packed when I went and had a very homey feel which I loved. The waiters were so sweet and enthusiastic which only made the experience better. We ordered the green curry with chicken and pad see ew with beef which both were huge and we had lots left over. The curry was incredibly creamy and was loaded with bamboo shoots and other veggies. The pad see ew was seasoned very well and packed with flavor and the texture of the noodles had just the right amount of chewiness, the only con being the broccoli was a bit tough and bitter. However, this dish was definitely one of the better ones I've had! For sure worth to check out if you are craving affordable and delicious Thai food!

Yelp
Loved the food!! And service !! We ordered the wings again as they are super crunchy and meaty. They drizzle it with a tangy sweet sauce with cut up cabbage ! Super great touch We also ordered the Fried Fish with was lightly battered and fried and then served with a red curry sauce, red and green bell peppers and some other veggie but can't remember what it was - served with rice We also ordered the whole fish to go. They packed it with the sauce in a separate container! Looking forward to having that tonight for dinner!!

Yelp
Came here on a busy Saturday night for dinner with a family for 12. Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was how cold it was, and it was honestly so unbearable. The air was consistently blasted down at us when seated, making it so uncomfortable to sit through our meal. The service was good, and we were seated promptly. Order and food was taken and came out at a reasonable amount of time. We ordered a little bit of everything which were: Satay chicken: 3/5 chicken was cooked well, but flavor of the chicken and sauce was lacking Cheese roll: 2/5 just your basic cheese rolls. Nothing spectacular Pad Thai chicken: 4/5 love the consistency of the sauce, noodles were cooked to perfection, flavor was good, but needed more spice! Pad see ew chicken: 5/5 flavor was good, noodles were perfect, my go to dish! Panang Curry: 4/5 good flavor, nice consistency of the broth, just needed to ease off on the string beans. Beef namtok: 5/5 good flavor and appreciate the small pieces of beef they cut up to make it easy to chew. Basil fried rice: 4/5 good flavor. Just wish they used smaller pieces of shrimps and cut up the onions smaller. But that's a personal preference.

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Used to be good. But, quality went down..... The portion was small and it didn't taste good anymore. Don't think I will going there for awhile.

Emerald C.

Yelp
Today evening I went to that restaurant and I ordered noodles fried it's so salty and come with egg shells in my meal. Costumer service are terrible also.

Yelp
So my family is normally choosey with their restaurants because each we visit we have to feed around 5-6 mouths, and not only that but 3 out of the 6 are picker eaters. Plussss the bill gets easily stacked $$. With that being said, Tony Thai easily won our hearts as being our top go to's in houston. Tony Thai hits the nail with incredible taste and a lot of VALUE. I'll summarize before I go into each dish but some strong points: they give you a LOT of food for a decent price, it's perfect for family style, menu is filled with plenty of options (from styles of noodles, rice, meats, curry), has a consistent and authentic taste, and customer service is good! Now for all the dishes I've had at this wonderful establishment: Pad thai with chicken- very decent, strong authentic Thai flavor but aciditity was a bit too strong, one of those dishes that is hot and delicious but you can't really eat a lot in one serving cuz the sauce overpowers a bit Crispy pork- delicious!!! The sauce they cook the pork with keeps it crispy and fatty yet delivers umami! Normal fried rice- delicious!!!! And the right balance of a blend of different seasonings and there's a heavy oil they use that gives a unique Thai flavor. My fam orders every time Pad Se Ew- a family favorite. My boyfriend's favorite too. The sweet flavor it's notorious for is hit on the head good and get this with beef...superb. However we went again last night and I felt the iconic flavor was lacking from the noodles and the noodles didn't have that slight crisp that I crave. Panang curry- amaaaazing. Super thorough, buttery curry flavor and CREAMY. Just wish there was a bit more chicken. Mix this with white rice and bam bam. Yum. Crying beef- funny enough, I prefer normal viet BBQ to this, I wanted more flavor. But last night I poured some of the paired sauce on the meat, and it was incredible! Thanks Tony Thai!

Yelp
love this place. been coming here for years on a regular; a little late on my review. i've tried many things on the menu but some of my go to choices are: tiger cry, tony wings, dumplings, fried rice, pad kee mao, and pad see ew. i love love love pad thai, sometimes it's a little dry.
google avatar

Yelp
Have been eating at tony thai again rather frequently and i must say they are consistently serving oustanding dishes again. The fried fish, chicken wings and pork belly come out really hot and crispy and for sure freshly made. Consistent/ reliable yummy thai flavors. Come back.

Yelp
pretty good food and attentive service, some hidden fees which took me by surprise but good experience

Yelp
This is probably one of my top Thai food restaurants in Houston. The servings are SO worth how much you pay for. Be prepared to bring home part of your dish to-go... that's how big each portion is! I definitely recommend doing family style here, if possible because it's nice to try different dishes. Plus, you're less likely to finish an entire dish on your own. I'm not vegetarian, but I actually like the vegetarian dishes here a lot. The way their tofu is made is SO delicious and it's a good size and good amount of tofu that is given too. They also put in plenty of vegetables (carrots, green beans, eggplant, etc.). I tried the vegetable pad see ew and vegetable pad Thai dishes. They were SO good. I recommend getting chili oil and mixing some of it with the dishes too. The seafood crispy noodles are also really good. They remind me a lot of the Chinese-style pan-fried crispy noodles dish. This place is very popular, and I think it's perfect for a family or a big group of people.

Yelp
I am found of Thai and especially in vegetarian there are only few restaurants that will hear you out. They did an excellent job, we loved everything that we ordered and the fried rice stood out. The staff is very polite and nice and the place is neat and clean.

Yelp
Love the food, and the people are very nice as well. I've been going for a few years and they're very consistent.

Yelp
Everything we ordered was good . Generously Portioned. We also ordered the fried fish cake but had to send it back because it was really too spicy for us. We are wimps. Combination Pad Thai - came with imitation crab, shrimp, squid, beef and chicken. The egg was burnt. We picked it out. Eggplant- the menu and photo only showed a plate of eggplant. So I ordered an extra dish so I could have a protein. When I received the dish, it was actually a complete dish mixed with chicken, onion, and basil. I was ok. Clams- it was a pot of clams. What else can I say. They were good. Good size as well. Clams are my fav. Grilled squid- I ordered the grilled squid. On the menu it pictured squid tentacles, which are my favorite. When I received the dish, I was disappointed that it was only squid rings. I asked about it but they said that was all they had. We ate them. Honestly they were surprisingly good with the grilled flavor. They came served on a bed of shredded cabbage and topped with green onions. It was really good. Chicken satay- I expected to get 2 or 3 small skewers like from everywhere else I have eaten, but came served as 5 large and generously portioned skewers. They had a grilled flavor with kind of a curry sweet taste. They were good, and perfect for picky eaters. We requested everything to not be spicy or have peppers. We are wimps. I hope this review was able to help you.

Yelp
Haven't had good Thai food since Washington. I am so elated to find some a good Thai food that has such good affordable prices. We ordered the Beef Tiger Cry and it was so flavourful and such a great texture. The Pad Kee Mow with chicken and it was my first time trying it and the noodles are a new texture but it was sooo good. The Chicken egg rolls were also really good with a sweet yet tangy sauce. The Panang combination Curry, it's even better than the one back in Washington , loved the green beans in the most flavourful curry broth. Would only wish for the sauce to be a bit thicker and not as soupy. I also ordered 2 Thai Teas and one came spilled which was sad but those were good also. Will definitely be eating here again. Good local find

Yelp
Tom yum is delicious! Of course everything in their menu is good but when I need something comforting, this hits the spot. Also the restaurant is clean and food comes out promptly.
