"Jeez, there must be dozens of pizzerias in the five boroughs named Tony’s. This one distinctively occupies a rather grand corner double-storefront with plenty of windows, through which the snow looks rather dramatic as it falls softly on Crown Heights. The stacked ovens turn out all the usual pies, and there’s also a sideline in jerk chicken, a neighborhood favorite. Torn into pieces, that bird goes on a slice, with some barbecue sauce striped on for extra sweetness. Hey, it’s good!" - Robert Sietsema

I ordered the chicken cutlet parm hero for $12. The first bite I took was all bread. They didn't even put enough chicken in it to cover the bread and the chicken was so thin. The hero was small for $12, it should have been no more than $6 for what they're trying to pass off as a hero. Jojo's pizza on Church Ave is the best and their prices are cheaper and if they weren't closed today I would have went there. Don't waste your money here. For them to be in the neighborhood they in be careful who you're trying to rob. Tony's is a 0 star.

When my husband and I lived in the neighborhood, this was our favorite spot. We still miss it. The guys were always nice and the pizza is great. Highly recommend the buffalo chicken

I grew up going to this place and the food is always awesome! My favorite food to get right now is the Penne vodka with shrimp.

Google
The pizza was great! It was very disappointing that none of the gentlemen working wore masks though. I placed an order for pick up and someone even came around the counter to walk outside and he didn't have a mask on. The man who took my card made no attempt to put one on either... The wings were good and I was surprised it came with garlic knots!

Google
First time visit to Brooklyn 🙃 First pizza place I saw on my walk about. Busy atmosphere, good service, clean dining area. Saw pizza being hand made. Tasty yummy 🤤

Aston M.

Yelp
One of the best authentic pizza spots left in Brooklyn. Pizza made fresh, service fast, very good.

Cannon T.

Yelp
Do not like their pizza bland like every other spot sauce a little too acidic wouldn't recommend but the staff is very nice and professional !

Petrina R.

Yelp
This could be my favorite shop, but I have a problem with no gloves being used in the establishment by ALL employees. I witnessed the owner ask for a salad bowl from the back. It looked amazing until I saw him use his finger to push a leaf back in the bowl. Why?!!!!! No gloves means no visits from me. I wish I could say better as it's a community pizza shop, but just remember not everyone washes their hands as frequently as they should. I saw him use the intercom, pick up a paper receipt twice and then use his right hand to touch a salad and arrange the corn in the platter. The "gloved" Sicilian slice was amazing. Nice and soft and better than any other shop so far. NO GLOVES NO SERVICE!

Charles B.

Yelp
Food is mediocre I don't recommend delivery takes like an hour but basically i was disappointed with everything i ordered especially the siciliano pie just bland tasting and the crust was hard to eat spicy pepperoni btw my order was like 45 bucks :/

Patricia T.

Yelp
Doesn't get any better, great pizza, the wings are my favorite. Wish they used a delivery app. Their phone is always busy.

Lola A.

Yelp
I'm not sure if they have a different pizza person but .. it don't taste the same.. today I ordered pizza for delivery & I received the oilest saggy pizza.. they lucky I wasn't in the mood to go back and return the pizza

Christopher Leon J.

Yelp
Love the pizza. Been eating there for over 15 years. They never changed their taste. Clean, quick, organized. Big store. Love tonys pizza. Thanks guys.

Yelp
Not having much experience in this neighborhood to eat from the best pizzeria restaurant I decided to give this place a shot after seen the reviews on yelp. Friday afternoon i called for a delivery of a large pie with chicken bacon ranch with extra cheese and a 2 litter Pepsi. Plus a order of hot wings. The order came out to $38 which I find that a bit over priced but still proceed with the order since I wanted something really good. I order at about 2:15pm and the delivery took over 1 hour and a half I had to call back just to double check on my delivery status. They told me it was on there way. When the delivery guy tells me he's outsider since they don't have door to door deliveries. I found it very strange since they charge so much not to deliver upstairs. Then I'm down stairs for 5 minutes I called the delivery guy and he was at the wrong building. I told him the correct address and in less then 2 minutes he came. He was very nice great attitude so I gave him a great tip. I honestly thought my pizza was going to be cold. Since I had bad experiences like this before. When I open the box I was really impressed how this pizza looked. My first bite was delicious!!! I never had a pizza made so perfect like this. I loved the crust and the extra cheese on it everything was perfect about it. I even save le a few slices for the next day and pre heated on the oven and it was really good and tasty as if I just got it done freshly on the spot. Looking forward to ordering from you guys great pizzeria. My only tip would be you guys need either faster delivery service.

Yelp
I was completely shocked to come on Yelp and see that their rating was 4 stars. Based off the experience I had yesterday I assumed it would have been a 2 or 3. But nonetheless, here we are. Against my better nature (I don't eat at hood pizza shops because shit like this) I tried this place for lunch. I walk in and there are 3 ppl behind the counter. 1 old man, one young man with very dark arched eyebrows and a 3rd man who was moving food around behind the counter. The 3rd guy I ask can I have 2 plain slices. He says yes we have slices and walks away. I stand there confused and he continues to work and the other 2 guys continue to talk. A new customer comes in ( a guy) orders a slice, gets it, pays and leaves. Still haven't been acknowledged. The 3rd guy still ignoring me. The old man finally asks me if I'm ready to order after I'm standing there watching them all talk amongst themselves me for like 3 minutes. I reply I placed my order with this guy and he walked away and ignored me. The guy with the very dark arched eyebrows laughs and says oh he doesn't speak English. I knew that was a damn lie as he just spoke. Ok got it, we playing that game. So as I'm giving my order again the guy "who doesn't speak English" speaks English and then proceeds to say oh I didn't know you were ordering I thought you were asking if we had slices. I told him why would I ask that when I can clearly see y'all have slices. And even if you think I was just asking if you had slices you still didn't even ask me if I wanted to order. You walked away and then proceeded to move food around like I wasn't even standing there. I should have just walked out. But I was hungry and hot and tired. So I settled. NEVER AGAIN! Paid $5 for 2 nasty ass slices. The dough is super thick ‍ no GREAT nyc style pizza should have crust that thick unless it's Sicilian. The dough is also super chewy ‍. Barely any sauce on the pizza ‍ and the cheese was dense. None of these things make for good pizza. This is honesty one of the worst pizza shops in Brooklyn, hands down. The service is WACK! And the food is nasty. Absolutely no reason to stop into this place at all. The food is way over priced for the neighborhood to be this nasty. I need Brownsville to love itself because if it thinks this is the best pizza in brooklyn then I'm left to assume nobody in Brownsville has ever had real pizza before lmao. You want good pizza try Sal & Paul's Pizzeria 10xs better all around!

Yelp
Didn't expect it but, Tony's Pizza is really rather darn cool. It's amazing and everyone who works here seems like they are really proud of it. Everything I've tried thus far is great. Workers are extremely welcoming. They're accommodating, well-mannered and always on their game. Tony's Pizza, I loved the experience.

Myrisse D.

Yelp
I hadn't been here in 2-3 years They really step up their game the food is delicious Best pizza so far and they incorporated healthy option (try the chicken salad) Prices are extremely cheap, location is clean I love that they are a family owned business and they all work at the same level

Sherise M.

Yelp
The pizza is always delicious and the service is fast. I usually get plain cheese but I've tried it with other toppings and even more delicious.

Tiffany S.

Yelp
Ordered delivery and the order came within 30 minutes, food was hot, and the customer service was spectacular! Will order from here the next time I'm in NYC

Amanda R.

Yelp
Pizza is a little expensive, but worth it their slices are bigger than my forearm and they taste soooooo good. Definitely try it.

Seanmichael R.

Yelp
Authentic Italian slices. Best in the neighborhood. Fresh ingredients and impeccable dough! I'm happy to discover a local pizzeria that serves hot, tasty pizza.

Ayanna G.

Yelp
Definitely high quality, I ordered for my family a Medium Pepperoni Pizza. It came shorter than delivery time and the delivery man was nice! A little greasy but so good.

Mesico I.

Yelp
Tony's pizza is the best iconic pizzeria the workers are so kind and always serves people with a smile totally recommend

Robert J.

Yelp
Tony's Pizza you are most certainly incredible, I had a wonderful experience here yesterday. This place is fabulous. Every thing we had here was spectacular. The team was very pleasant and service is superb. So impressed, can't wait to go back to Tony's Pizza.

Ocita L.

Yelp
I've been ordering from Tony Pizza for about over a year tonight was the first night that I was slightly disappointed I ordered a large pie with cheese mushrooms and sausage when it got here it was disheveled I immediately called the shop and the gentleman apologized and said he will send another and which I exchanged for the one they previously sent I think their customer service is wonderful for that and I will continue to eat at Tony's Pizza

Nomie B.

Yelp
Great food, good staff. One of the best spots to eat in this neighborhood. It's best to call in prior so you're not waiting too long. The lunch deals are affordable. You get large portions along with quality food.

Marlon M.

Yelp
Tony's pizza is always slamming. It's way better than those big companies. And you've got to try their pastas. They are elite.

Sarah D.

Yelp
Stumbled upon Tony's when staying in Brooklyn. Bunch of nice guys working the counter. Only ordered a few slices of pizza but we loved it! Just a cheese slice and a white pizza with Ricotta cheese. Yum! We will be back.

Geri B.

Yelp
Love Tony's Pizza!!! Great pizza, excellent service and frankly I cannot find any fault. Tony himself is on the premises and it's classic Brooklyn old school pizzeria- made with oodles of cheese and pride

Brooklyn C.

Yelp
Once I walked in there was yelling. The service wasn't so great. There were people fighting to just deliver food. There were shoes just there where they cook the food. And since the door to the kitchen was open you can basically see how slow the people are. They didn't look motivated. There was one seat which was the first one you see when you walk in with some type of clothes and the remote to the t.v. You'd think to see that in the back near the restroom. I asked for a chicken roll and they said they're all out. Usually they'd say "we'll get it ready in 15-20" but they didn't so I got a normal slice. The crust was undercooked. Horrible first experience.

Pat H.

Yelp
You would think w/ restaurants struggling an owner getting a complaint from a long time customer would be taken seriously. I've been ordering from this establishment 3yrs never a problem; we are talking about the Sutter & Rutland location to be specific. Ate there in person a lot as well. Today I ordered a medium pie w/ pep topping. First they overcharged for it; then tried to tack on an xtra $3 claiming it my address was too far. After going back & forth abt location someone in charge said no its "right there" like I said I always order here. Now here's the good part... when the delivery guy gets here he has an attitude like he was forced to come. I refused to tip him. He says in a very sleered heavy accent I,m thinking maybe he was drinking on the job, he says " you no call back no more." Can you imagine some delivery guy barely can speak well opening his mouth to say that? So I call to speak w/ mngment of course & it took abt 20 mins to get Tony himself on the line. This man kept rushing me through the story as I relayed everything that went wrong & then get this says " I DONT BELIVE HE SAID THAT." to me a paying loyal customer! My name aint Karen I dnt have to spend 20 mins waiting to get thru to you to lie on some undocumented delivery guy. R u ok Tony? That part.

Debi C.

Yelp
Amazing pizza and delivery service. Had a margarita slice with extra sauce. Both were top-notch. Service was quick, and the joint was clean. Really good pizza. Crispy crust and amazing sauce.

Dominique B.

Yelp
Tony's pizza is so freaking GOOD!!!!! Stop by and grab a slice or a pie. The employees are super sweet too.

Geneva C.

Yelp
I would never come here again! I asked for Parmesan cheese and the owner tells me no it's already in the sauce!Thats why i don't order at hood shit!!!!!!!If i wanted 7 you should provide me with it!Service horrible! He had the nerve to tell me i don't need it!

Jerry J.

Yelp
One of the best pizza spots. Try to get past the guy yelling at everyone behind the counter. It will be worth it.

Jamie A.

Yelp
Great Brooklyn Pizza in our neighborhood. Reminds me of my old pizza spots on Ave U back in the day. Can never go wrong with pepperoni, sausage, and extra cheese.

Martha L.

Yelp
Coming here since I was a kid! Best pizza always! Can eat a whole pie from Tony's. Okay I'm sorry but I hate that tony always has random guys in the kitchen literally Randoms! Meaning the ones that stand around and look un-groomed. I know for a fact they do not work there he just lets them hang out and do as they please. However Tony is a sweetheart he tries to involve the community so that's probably why.

Seth C.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. I tried ordering 2 pies for a delivery to a school, and was told I had the wrong Tony's Pizza because the address I gave was too far. After verifying that I did, in fact, call the correct Tony's Pizza, I called again. The man over the phone asked a "Tony" in the background if they deliver to the address I gave. He then informed me that even though the address I gave was ONE MILE AWAY AND LESS THAN A 10 MINUTE DRIVE, they wouldn't deliver to me because they don't deliver to "that part of town." He then told me, verbatim, that "before you hang up on me, I'm gonna hang up on you," and ended the call. I don't know what was worse: the disrespectful staff or the refusal of my order. Thank you, Tony's Pizza, for ruining a 2nd grade pizza party. Two thumbs way down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jaime C.

Yelp
The workers are very customer friendly the environment is good the owner and his family are passionate hard working people. The pizzas are great homestyle! You would like the varieties of meals there.

Anubis K.

Yelp
The chicken marinara sub is not that great just passable for when you need some quick fuel in your system and as for the pizza itself also just passable definitely not worth the $15 dollars cannot really comment much on some of the other items as I did not taste any but what I can say though as that their meatballs looks/smells quite delicious as well as stuffed shells and the shrimp/broccoli/garlic/olive oil baked ziti yes I must remember to give that a try the next time I am in the area

Marcelo B.

Yelp
Such a disappointment, I order from these guys almost every day. I decided to order a salad and have it delivered four blocks. 5 minutes from when I called to place the order I realized I was short cash so I called again to pay with a card. The owner got on the photo and was extremely rude! Decided it was more important to fight with me about his cc minimum instead of letting it slide for a difference of $3 bucks! If there's something that sucks is an old geezer with that old stubborn mentality. The son knows what he's doing esp when it comes down to customer service. Chances of me ordering from here again are slim to none. Enjoy your cc minimum.

Vonessa R.

Yelp
This place makes a great pie with a chewy crust. LOVE their sweet and zesty sauce as well. I often order the medium pepperoni or medium sausage/peppers/onions. Their beef gyro and garlic knots are also stellar. In store service is quick and their guys keep it loose and cool. Best of all their delivery service is on point. Food arrives fresh and hot. Delicious

Ashley P.

Yelp
Great pizza, pasta, anything really! Plus the staff is so friendly they make you feel welcome all the time. Highly recommended

Izzy T.

Yelp
Probably one of the many pizza gems in NYC. I've had pizza in the Bronx, Manhattan, and now BK since I moved here and this is thus far the best pizza spot in BK. The guys who work here are really cool down to earth and give you this legit Italiano vibe lol. My fav is the plain slice with bacon.. Paid 3.50. This place is definitely worth the visit!

Nolz P.

Yelp
I ordered pizza from this place at 4:30 and called back two hours later and pizza wasn't delivered by the way. They said they did not receive my order? So they said it was probably cancled.Mind you I was starving. So I was not happy and I was thinking I was going to give this place a good review but no.I was disappointed. They have none me for a long time that's not how they do.

Soo G.

Yelp
I love pizza I know real pizza and this is the real deal my Man is very picky with pizza and he orders every time from there so good job .

Maria M.

Yelp
Im Surprised this establishment is still open for business. The worker's are very rude and nasty to their customers. Ordered the Tony's special for lunch, when ordered I asked for my pizza crust to be cooked as well as the buffalo wings, the man who placed my order read back my request. After waiting over 45mins not only was my order delivered in 3 parts but my pizza was cold and soggy & the wings were not cooked. I work less then 5 mins from the establishment so Im trying to figure out why my order was delivered in such state. After calling to complain the man was willing to give something extra for the inconvenience but even that showed up burnt and cold. I was not willing to pay for $30+ tip when I was unhappy with my order. I called the location to explain how unhappy I was and said I will pay for the stuff my coworkers ate which was the pizza and drank the soda, thats when the owner got loud and disrespectful and even threatened to come to my job and Kick my Ass. I will no longer do business with this establishment no one deserves to be treated as such.

Sherece P.

Yelp
I don't put businesses on blast, BUT this definitely deserves some attention. I went into Tony's Pizza I've eaten food from there for years, their food is good and I would/use to recommend there to people. While I was waiting on my order a woman came in to exchange her order. Apparently they gave her the wrong order (some burger combo), so she called and was advised to bring it back in exchange for the correct one. Tony (the owner) gave her the correct order and when she asked if he wanted back the incorrect order he hesitated and then said yes he'll give away. First red flag: why would you give someone food someone else returned? Do you know where it was or what they did to it? He then proceeded to add vegetables and bbq sauce to the old order, touching it with his bare hands that he touched the money with. He wrapped the burger and placed it on the oven top. As I'm above to leave a homeless guy walked in and asked if I could get him a slice of pizza. I said yes and told Tony to give him a slice. Tony asked him if he wanted a burger instead and offered him the EXCHANGED BURGER. Oh no it gets better and then wanted to charge me $4 for it. I said I'm not paying $4 for that, that's food someone else brought back there's health concerns against that and you'd given it away regardless. Tony told me that I said to give the man a slice but he gave him a burger which cost $6 instead but only charge me $4 and HE WAS GOING TO SAVE IT AND SELL IT ANYWAYS! NEVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE WILL I EVER EAT FROM THERE! Like is this something they do on a regular or was he trying to make up for the incorrect order he had to replace? Either ways NEVER AGAIN WILL I EAT THERE, DISGUSTING!

Vivian C.

Yelp
Since I been living here. I love Tony's Pizza. My favorite is the Philly Cheese Steak with mushrooms.

Rosalia P.

Yelp
Best pizza ever. Food is great but the owner is even better! Hard working guy, funny and genuine. Highly recommended!

Hydera B.

Yelp
Terrible, it took so long for us to get a $16 pizza pie and they had served many others before us

Altovise H.

Yelp
I started out loving Tony's pizza on Utica ave. Then i came across this Rutland road location. Long story short i went there on Friday April 20, 2018 and received treatment that i have no other choice but to label as racial. I don't like to use the racial card but never have i ever felt this way at ant pizza shop. I ordered three seperate slices which was going to three seperate individuals. The man behind the counter (they called him Tony) took my order. I asked him to bag the slices separately for me. First thing he asked me was did i want them in a box. I proceeded to answer him and told him no. He said if they are going to the same place then why not. I said because they are going to three different places. He continued to prepare my food. When the slices were ready he bagged them separately as i asked (i also ordered drinks). Now to carry the heavy drinks and pizza was a task to get to my car so i asked for a plastic bag. With a nasty attitude he answered no. Now i would have accepted no for an answer and left the shop but right next to me there were customers leaving with their food in plastic bags as well as a man who ordered a large pie and he also had a baby pie box on top of that box. He was given a plastic bag to place the small box in. I can only conclude this to be either sexist or racist. This man that they called Tony had an attitude because of the way that i not only asked but asked nicely for the slices to be bagged. I pointed out to him that the customers next to me had plastic bags. He then looked at me with a weird grin and said well i don't have a bag and cut me off to take the next customer's order. He was totally disgusting. Very unprofessional. Unpleasant and to say the least himself as well as his workers were preparing food and orders without gloves but with dirty fingernails. Totally disgusting. Never ever in this lifetime will i visit this pizza shop again. He was rude to me intentionally just pure unprofessional as i said. I only rated Tony's 1 star because 0 stars is not an option. I'm going to the BBB next because that's how his behavior affected me and I'm sure other individuals as well.

Darrel W.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been to Tony's. I did have a man to man sit down with Tony, a very hard working Italian gentleman. I've been in the neighborhood since 1969, Tony has been three longer. Tony expressed the hardship of finding good workers. Even his son is problematic! Please don't just blog on this page, take the time to speak to the man behind the name. Tony can use good employees on the counter, and can use a delivery person (s) with a car. I enjoyed our conversation Tony is a gentleman with style!

Joelle K.

Yelp
LOVE their pizza! My boyfriend lived around the corner from here years ago and we used to order it every weekend. Now every time we visit Brooklyn we stop here. After 12 years, they offer the same great quality. Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings...perfect. We have never had a bad pie from them. Thanks Tony's!

Deyana P.

Yelp
The first time we ordered from there it took the delivery guy 3 hours to deliver our pizza and when we called them they didn't even know where he was. The second time we picked up the food the pizza was decent but the order was messed up. The third time the guy took down my order and card number and I specifically told him I wouldn't be the person picking it up and the card wouldn't be present. Three minutes later another person calls me and rudely says they don't do that and abruptly hangs up the phone. I know we are in the hood but you don't need to treat your customers like that. I personally won't spend another bloody cent on a piece of cheese from this place no matter how it tastes. Customer service matters!
