"The historic Watergate Hotel is undergoing an epic transformation for its annual Halloween party on Saturday, October 26. Expect spooky decor and an “evening of music, magic, and mischief like no other.” There will be a DJ on sight and of course, a costume contest. First place receives a two-night stay in the Presidential Suite ($5,000 value), second place wins a $100 credit at The Next Whisky Bar, and third place gets a $50 credit at The Next Whisky Bar. Tickets ($120) are available to purchase on Eventbrite." - Vinciane Ngomsi
"Rooftop and waterfront? Sign us up. Top Of The Gate at the Watergate Hotel in Foggy Bottom has panoramic views of the Potomac and the city—and some of our favorite views outside of the National Cathedral’s bell tower. Post up on giant all-weather wicker patio furniture that can accommodate a table for two or group of ten. And many of the American restaurant's tables have gas fire pits for when the wind starts to pick up after sunset. If you’re trying to impress a significant other or an out of towner, this place has the views to do it. The truffle fries are a good option to soak up your $25 cocktails." - tristiana hinton, omnia saed
"This is one of the most relaxing rooftops in DC. From the top of the Watergate Hotel in Foggy Bottom, you can see almost every major landmark in the city, from the Potomac River running alongside the hotel to the National Cathedral up the hill. There’s a small food menu (don’t get anything other than the $17 truffle fries), but most folks are here for the views. Sip a $25 cocktail while you catch up with friends around a firepit or swing by with a date before dinner." - omnia saed, tristiana hinton
