"It’s no secret that Torchy’s Tacos has a few off-menu dishes, but with the already-listed impressive lineup of tacos, it’s easy to forget that. If you’re craving a breakfast taco, try for The Jack of Clubs. For any other meal — or if you’re feeling extra hungry — ask for the Ace of Spades. Sausage, brisket, queso, and a fried egg are just a few tasty ingredients featured in the taco." - Sommer Brugal

Torchys has outstanding tacos and queso dip. They have a vegetarian friendly option, the fried avocado taco, which is delicious and worth trying even if you aren't vegetarian. Their prices are amazing and the location is really cool. It is in this trailer park of food carts with picnic tables and a fire pit. The queso is a must-order. It comes with guacamole and habanero salsa dolloped in. It is so rich, creamy, spicy, and flavourful. The chips are piping hot and crispy. As mentioned above, the fried avocado Taco is also a must-try. It has battered and fried avocado with cheese, vegetarian refried pinto beans, lettuce, tomato, and a side of sauce. Torchys has tons of meat options , but they are thankfully transparent about what is vegetarian and what is not. The fact that their retried beans are vegetarian is a huge plus, as many Mexican places put animal fat in their beans without disclosing it. Torchys is a great place to go if you are looking for queso dip and tacos with vegetarian options.

Wow! These are seriously the best tacos I've ever had! The menu was so diverse it was so difficult picking which ones I got, but I ended up getting The Democrat (Beef Barbacoa) and Mr. Pink (Ahi Tuna). I tried my boyfriend's Baja Shrimp taco and was blown away. Our table shared chips and queso and it was a hit for everyone. Even the fountain soda drink selection was great, I had prickly pear soda! We even bought a bottle of their hot sauce to bring home. Sitting outside on the balcony, eating delicious foods with friends made for one really memorable and happy experience.

Torchy's has risen to iconic status for any foodies trip to Austin. Located a few minutes south east of the city across the bridge, this makes for a pleasant stroll. The menu is extensive and the portions well sized and full of flavour- making it perfect for lunchtime snacks.

Got to check out Torchy’s when visiting Austin! I didn’t think much of this place when my hubby got this recommendation from friends. But when I try their taco/ guac & chips then I understand why so many folks recommended this place: the guac and sauces were delicious, and the taco was fully filled with goodies, and, with a very reasonable price!

Super tasty and prices are reasonable. I love that they have a heated space instead of just picnic tables out in the open. Green Chile pork and fried avocado with its salsa hit the spot. Definitely felt like the Austin place to go to on a first visit :)

Yes! Very delicious. Went to the food truck, everything was wonderful and lots of outdoor seating (most of it in the shade!). The only bad thing were the 3 crows eyeballing my food - had to throw some chips to get them away from me. Also, I'm afraid of birds.

First of all it's the perfect environment and you can sit outside and eat tacos. Food came out fast and everything was delicious. The guac and queso were delicious. I got the Democrat which I really liked but others didn't love the consistency.

Stopped at Torchy's on the way back home to New York and it was so good, we ordered more to go. We had the "Trailer Park" trashy style (no lettuce and added cheese), "The Wangler" and a special Chicken & Waffle one they had at the time. So, so, so good! Perfect ratio to filling and tortilla and all the sauces were delicious.
