"Torchy's Tacos’s annual hot taco month is back again, where the taco chain will present an increasingly spicier new taco every week, which began on Thursday, August 1. It starts off with the milder Bottle Rocket Shrimp, where the shrimp is battered with a habanero mixture, and ends with the Scalding Pig, where the pork is stewed with pasilla and ghost peppers, plus doused in Torchy’s XXX hot sauce." - Nadia Chaudhury

Sloppy-made food. Ordered a burrito that had a huge gash in it and completely fell apart. The chicken fajita taco had so much grease/oil in it that it soaked the tortilla. We ate the food within 10 minutes of pickup. Here is what it looked like after using 3 napkins to dab the mess. Spent $30 and could hardly eat anything. Need better packaging for the tacos so everything isn't mashed and melted together

Google
Food was delicious. I love that they have a variety on a gluten free menu. Was hesitant about salmon in a taco, but it was great. I would definitely order it again. Love the queso and the Spicy Paloma.

Google
Torchys has always been consistent every visit. Both the tulsa and okc locations never let us down. Food taste incredible and prices are reasonable for portions and quality. Do yourself a favor and 100% always get the queso. One of my favorite places to always eat! Cant reccomend enough!

Google
pretty darn delicious. we did take out and we specifically said no cilantro because one of our family members is allergic to cilantro and when we had gotten home and ready to dig in we saw cilantro… Im pretty disappointed but the food still tasted daarn good. 👍

Google
Torchy’s is delicious! Had such a great time and was glad to take a visiting friend from Dallas to a familiar place. Q, the store manager, is so welcoming and helpful she deserves all the praise! Great experience, will be returning.

Google
I love Torchy‘s, but the cigar lounge smoke from next-door hits you like a wall when you walk in the doors of the restaurant. The kids could not handle it. We had to leave as a family and found another restaurant. It sounds like the landlord made a huge mistake, and the traffic on a Saturday night reflects that. I strongly advise the GM to demand a commercial air purifier from the landlord, just like Ida Red did.

Google
We love the tacos and the drinks!👌🏽 It’s a cool spot to stop in at on Brookside. We’ve been coming for a few years now. Food has always came out quick. Jayden is a great bartender & such a great person to see as soon as you walk in. He’s always smiling and welcoming. I couldn’t decide on guac or queso and he recommended the dip sampler. Sooo good!🔥♥️

Google
Wasn't sure what to order. Decided on the burrito, guacamole/chips and the salmon taco. The restaurant was empty compared to other times I have seen it bustling. Cashier was friendly and knew menu well. Wait time was minimal. The chips were too salty for my liking. The guacamole was a nice portion for the cost. The burrito served as dinner and lunch the next day. My favorite was the salmon taco; great taste, nice toppings. They also have a full bar here.

Yelp
While out shopping on Brookside, The Wife and I needed a little fuel to keep us going, so we decided to give Torchy's a shot. I mean, it's tacos.... how could we go wrong? For a taco joint, the place is pretty upscale. Open, airy with a definite uptown vibe going on. The menu was a little daunting for first timers, but we muddled through. The Wife opted for the Green Chili Pork and Chicken Fajita tacos, and I went with the Crossroads and the Democrat tacos. We also decided to split an order of their Damn Good Tots. We found a seat in a (relatively) quiet spot and waited on our food, which arrived pretty quickly. We both agreed the Damn Good Tots weren't. They were actually Kinda Okay Tots. They just didn't stand out and were pretty boring. I think we only ate about half of them. The tacos on the other hand... those fairly well rocked. The Wife let me have a bite of each of hers and both were very good, especially the green enchilada one. Of my two, I didn't realize how similar they both were, or I probably would have rethought one of them. That said, both were great. Well proportioned ingredients, hot and fresh. Nothing wrong with any of them at all. If we find ourselves there again, I'll try some other tacos, and most certainly another appetizer.

Yelp
Starting this review I'm thinking man, I don't go here enough. Seriously, the tacos are so good and when they say spicy, they mean it. Every time I go the staff are fantastic and this time our server/bartender was a fun dude. Ambience is eclectic and fun with seating at the bar, tables and booths for after your walk up order.

Joanna M.

Yelp
There is street parking in front and the side and a shared parking lot in the back. The inside is open and spacious. You walk up to the counter to order and get a number and they will bring the food to your table. The menu is mostly a la carte tacos and sides. There is a bar for drinks if you would like. As it is a la carte if you get a couple tacos, chips and salsa and any other sides with a drink it will add up quickly. I really enjoyed the heat of the Jamaica jerk chicken, the brisket was good with lots of jalepenos and the I liked the flavors of the Baja shrimp taco. The refried beans are decent. The food over all is good but expect to pay more than you might think for tacos. The tacos are a unique bunch of different flavors and fairly good size.

Akeesa G.

Yelp
Ambiance: I went on a Saturday night, and it was a really light crowd. There was tons of space and lots of seating. A couple of tvs around the bar and a decent amount of decor. Service: We sat at the bar, and even though there was only one person attending the bar, she was very attentive and kind. She helped us choose great tacos and made some tasty drinks. Food came out fast and fresh. Food: My two tacos and the queso were delicious. The trailer park trashy was my favorite, just the right amount of all the toppings. I'm typically a sauce person, so I really liked the different types of sauces for the different tacos, and not one thing I tried tasted off or nasty.

Kym B.

Yelp
I'll start off by saying everything is à la cart and this might bug some people. Also heads up because this isn't anything like authentic Mexican tacos... I'd say more like hipster tacos. The chips and queso were good, but the chips were pretty cold. I love warm chips with queso, so this threw me. I had the Vagabond taco which is...Marinated grilled steak, bacon, grilled onions, chimichurri sauce, feta cheese, and pico de gallo all served on a flour tortilla. Really tasty. The tacos are interesting and unique, and just looking off the menu a lot of them sound delicious. Next time I want to try the rice. Also their drink menu looks super tempting! BUT.... I was in a hurry, so this was kind of a hurry and eat type of thing.

Yelp
Ahhhh Torchy's! An Austin staple. You're welcome Tulsa. What's crazy about this is that Torchy's in Austin is a hole in the wall tiny restaurant. Well at least most of their locations. There are no chandeliers and full bar like this location. If your not aware of the secret menu you should try it. They used to have my favorite the jack of clubs which they took off....PLEASE bring it back Torchy's. The service isn't that great but I only went for lunch and all the employees working looked to be kids that didn't care to be there that's why only 4 stars. Haven't sat at the bar yet but its on my to do list for happy hour. None the less the food is the same as in Austin with great queso and tacos.

Lindsey B.

Yelp
Just a quick after lunch app for a hot humid day. Ordered some chips and chile dip and a tea. The place isn't divey. Large windows in this joint to people watch on Peoria. There is a bar area for all you rowdy 21 and overs!! I do recommend the trailer park taco... DAMN GOOD TACO!! what it's actually under the sign which reads.

Kate M.

Yelp
I am a huge Torchy's fan and this location did not disappoint! The queso and guacamole were SO delicious and came out fast. The tacos were loaded up and so yummy. Our whole group loved all of their tacos and it has become a tradition to come here when we are in town for work!

Kristi O.

Yelp
Went here with some coworkers for the first time I wasn't sure at first how I felt about everything being all la cart, and I wasn't sure if the tacos would be very filling. some seemed a little pricey for one single taco but in the end, I got the Democrat, Mr. orange, and a breakfast taco. All were actually a decent size. They all tasted very good. Service was fast you order at the front and then you get a buzzer and they bring it to your table. I am still upset that chips and salsa are not free. I understand queso and guacamole, costing money but chips and salsa should be free at any Mexican establishment but other than that I enjoyed my tacos. My coworkers enjoyed theirs. It was a good experience. I appreciate the variety of choices of tacos and will go back.

Austin M.

Yelp
For breakfast/lunch, I was craving breakfast tacos, so I decided to doordash the Jalapeño Cheddar, Sausage, Egg and Cheese breakfast taco and the Ranch Hand breakfast taco, plus a 3 ct of Lil Nookies for dessert. Both tacos were delicious and very flavorful, but the jalapeño cheddar, sausage, egg, and cheese didn't have any jalapeños or even jalapeño flavor and the Ranch Hand had no diablo sauce. The lil nookies were the highlight of the meal. Deep fried chocolate chip cookie dough is amazing!

jerry g.

Yelp
I ordered a Togo order at 1212 and still don't have my food yet. people who came in after me got their orders way before me. the mgt was of zero help. last time I ever order here

Paul W.

Yelp
The tacos were creative and delicious. The service was also excellent. I recommend eating here.

Sarah W.

Yelp
Ordered a kids quesadilla and this is what they gave me, I order here every Friday for lunch and it's very upsetting that they even let this food go out the door, very burnt not even edible at all.

Joshua R.

Yelp
The entire place reeks of cigarette smoke. I'm not sure if they recently had a party but it is apparent that something is very off.

Abby C.

Yelp
The food is always yummy! The main downside is that their takeout takes FOREVER. Sometimes smells like the cigar bar next door

Melissa B.

Yelp
We went fairly early and it was fairly slow. We ordered the chorizo queso, very good. and the chips were fresh. The drink selection is nice and everyone will find something, alcoholic or non.

Debra K.

Yelp
Went in to pick up a Yelp special order (that I had tacked four tacos on to). The four taco order (Trailer Park, Texas Hottie, Crossroads, and Green Chile Pork) came out soon and were ready to go. My Yelp order took a while. They did scramble when they realized I didn't have the full order and thank goodness the manager got involved. She was very friendly and took control! :) The Tacos were EXCELLENT! Our favorite was the Trailer Park and the Green Chile Pork with the Crossroads following in a close third. The Texas Hottie was more sweet than hot...wasn't a favorite. As I said, we got this to go. We would definitely do that again. If I do dine in, I think I want to set at the bar. The chandeliers are cool. I'm giving Torchy's four stars for the good taco factor and I'm not blaming them for the order FUBAR b/c I did tack on the the order. Only constructive criticism would be to keep the tables a bit cleaner (but we all know help is hard to find right now). Also, what is up with the warped looking tables. Is that on purpose? Good tacos though!!!!!

Melissa L.

Yelp
If you want a awesome flare to tacos this is the place.. and he trailer park extra trashy is the only way to go..

Bella B.

Yelp
I love Torchys, but they changed their menu two weeks ago and changed up many of their best tacos, specifically the original Republican taco with the cheddar sausage link. I can't find a taco like that anywhere else now, and have no reason to eat at Torchys anymore please bring it back

Morgan S.

Yelp
Thw waiter/cashier was very helpful and the food was AMAZING. Fun atmosphere their cheese dip is delicious.

Mosh C.

Yelp
Excellent food with lots of vegetarian options. Will be back again! We tried the fresh avocado tacos instead of the fried avocado with the nacho chips and Queso. Everything was delicious!

Khwame J.

Yelp
I was suppose to write this review last night, however after a 22 hours drive I felt as if I'd do this place a disservice... Even with the covid-19 precautions and seating this place has a laid back relaxing 1st dinner date/get too know you vibe. Awesome Customer service the lady at the cash register understood it was my first time and offered me lots of help on the most popular dishes, the staff was friendly and attentive, and quick. We waited about 10 mints for our foot 5 for the guacamole and ships. I ordered the trailer park(trashy and Baja Shrimp Taco, I'm kinda a taco connoisseur so this place had me excited and DID NOT DISAPPOINT, my brother had the same and stated it was also delish. I will absolutely be back whenever I'm travel through.

Ashley A.

Yelp
Torchy's seems to be super consistent food wise. We ordered the Democrat and it didn't disappoint (again!) The one thing that caught our attention most was the soft corn tortillas. Mouth watering. The barbacoa was tender and full of flavor. Maybe just a tad more salt and it would've been perfect.

Thomas D.

Yelp
The place smelled like cigarettes, like stale cigarettes. Probably someone after hours smoking during breakdown, thinking it'll clear out in the morning. It did not. Doesn't make me feel great about spending $50 to feed my family.

Doc M.

Yelp
sadly, over-hyped. over-priced. agree with another yelp reviewer, saying why are there no complimentary chips and salsa. since every decent mexican restaurant offers complimentary chips and salsa. for these over-priced tacos, they can afford to offer complimentary chips and salsa. nuff said.

Stephen W.

Yelp
This place never fails and satisfies every time I indulge I always switch "The Wrangler" with a fried chicken strip & it's soooo good as a breakfast burrito Ranch Hanch is good too!

Brielle L.

Yelp
Everyone was so nice, the atmosphere is modern and clean, and the tacos were amazing! Ordering tacos "trashy" means getting queso (make sure to try the Trailer Park "trashy"), so good! We hit up this spot every time we're in Tulsa! A must for sure!

Shaylin W.

Yelp
bartender is very rude. Shushed me after I ordered a drink off the menu, then proceeded to hand me a menu.... Wtf?

Princess H.

Yelp
Second time here. Ordered the avocado taco and a sucker punch. Both were super delicious! I was pleasantly surprised about the cocktails.

Marquita S.

Yelp
We was told this place was a great late night spot and tacos were the best in town. Me and my family needed a night out on the town, and this was the place that we decided to go to just because of all the hype and great reviews by others. once we got inside, we was not greeted or helped to order we decided to ask how to order and we did so. we did not know what was the best in the house, so we just went with what was familiar to us. We got the Democrat and fire bush and once it came to our table(came out extremely fast) it was extremely cold and not very well put together. We also went to the bar and got drinks and then that drink was made wrong so we found the manager and he decided to make us something different and we did not like what we had also because the bartender wasn't well equipped in making drinks on a sidenote, barely knew how to make a piña colada, we were trying to be understanding and do not complain. But once we got to the car, we all felt sick to her stomach and threw up on our way to our house. The experience of this restaurant was horrible and I rather eat McDonald's in this place horrible service, food, experience for the first time customers. Customer should be treated like the first guest when opening your store to the last at closing. There was no urgency to check on us to make sure we were satisfied with everything that night.

John E.

Yelp
Very trendy inside. Staff were friendly and the two tacos and quac salad tasted good. As for the men's bathroom, NASTY! The floors were filthy and it smelled bad. The toilet in the stall leaked when flushed. Someone should really pay more attention. Probably won't be back.

Cooper W.

Yelp
First off- I love Torchy's. The food is always great. This location specifically has a terrible waiting time for to-go orders, though. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to fill an order for queso and chips. That being said, their service looked pretty prompt around the rest of the restaurant. Beware when ordering to-go. Otherwise you're fine.

Grace H.

Yelp
What's not to love about torchy's?! The different tacos on the menu are so creative and so good. I have never been disappointed with any I have tried. The meat is always moist, guac is fresh, crispy onions, an all-around just good tacos. I highly suggest getting inside of Mexican corn. I like the open atmosphere here. I've been to torchy's at a few different locations, and this is definitely the most open and enjoyable location. The only reason I don't give it up for five stars is because the servers are not the friendliest staff. Granted, I know that right now, restaurant staff is hard to come by, and most restaurants are running on partial staff, so not letting that jade my feelings too much.

Michele O.

Yelp
I'm craving it now. Torchy's queso and chips are to die for...Salty, with just the right amount of kick. It's SO good! My order of the Matador, was outstanding. Chopped brisket, grilled jalapeños, pickled onions. Like wow. I'm salivating just thinking about it. There were other items ordered on the menu like the chicken and beef tacos. But nothing compared to my tasty matador. The full bar set center stage at this location. The service was outstanding. Must go back for more.

Kristen S.

Yelp
Update: The weird drinks are gone!! Regular fountain drinks are available here as of today, good call Torchy's. Changed up my usual order today and tried the Baja Shrimp Taco, which was great. Pretty filling too for just one taco. I think I'll stick to my usual though, which is the Trailer Park, trashy of course! Per usual, the chips and queso were heavenly and we couldn't even finish it all!

Ezra G.

Yelp
Had amazing food in one of the most attractive Torchy's buildings I've been in. The wait was a bit long but they apologized and said it was because they were frying that chicken fresh, and it tasted in incredible.

Mark B.

Yelp
I normally love Torchy's in person, but it's like they have food they serve in person and food they send out for delivery. My trailer park was inedible. We will not be getting it delivered anymore.

Jesse S.

Yelp
This place is great. Just moved to Tulsa & I'm stoked they have a Torchy's. The food is amazing, it's nice to be able to get a good taco that's not dripping grease. The place is clean & the staff is friendly. Highly recommend.

Stacey C.

Yelp
Ate here for the first time. Ordering was quick at the counter, wife got the democrats and a breakfast wrangler taco, I got the democrats and #4 breakfast taco. we also shared chips and salsas. The chips and salsa came out quickly and were excellent. The tacos arrived shortly and all were great. We got all the tacos on corn tortillas ( typically don't with breakfast tacos) bit the corn you can tell were made in house. Wish they would open one in south Tulsa (91st & Yale) . Highly recommend the democrats taco but would would only order one next time and get a setup with chips salsa queso and guac 5 stars

Emily H.

Yelp
This location is kind of awful. If you have ever been to other locations of Torchys, they are fantastic so dont judge your experience based off of this location. We ordered the queso, trailer park, fried avocado, democrat, and mr orange. Everything was so salty. way too salty to enjoy. The chicken on the trailer park was a salt bomb and inedible. The fish on Mr orange was lukewarm and hard to eat. Overall, the flavors were just awful and just way too salty to enjoy. We were so disappointed. The queso however was fantastic and so delicious. The waitstaff was really friendly and they social distanced really well and they served diet Dr Pepper which is always a plus.

Breeonna F.

Yelp
Can't come to Tulsa without visiting this place! I love it so so much! I'm from LA so my food standards are very high... And this place definitely delivers! I always order the salmon taco and the shrimp taco (I think it's called the Baja taco) and they're always super yummy! The salmon is blackened and cooked to perfection. It's always super tender and melts in your mouth. And the shrimp tacos are always fresh and tasty! I love the cabbage in this taco. It gives it a little extra crunch to it! And I'm not sure if their tortillas are homemade? But I absolutely love them. They're very tasty. Definitely a must try! 10/10 for me.

Phoebe K.

Yelp
Pretty sure they put crack in the hillbilly queso lol They need to bring back the Tokyo Drift! Nice staff.

Bethany W.

Yelp
Been here a couple times and the food is okay, but nothing super amazing. Except the queso. That stuff is amazing. Biggest downside of this place is it reeks of cigarette smoke. Very heavy cigarette smoke smell is throughout the restaurant. Feels like sitting in an ash tray. I keep trying to come back cuz I want to like this place. But can't anymore. Won't be coming back again.

Willie R.

Yelp
I was soooo excited when I found out there is a Torchy's in Tulsa! Ok, T-Town! In short, the restaurant is spacious (with a hidden hallway that doesn't seem visible from the front and leads to the restroom). All the tacos are always prepared made to order, and if you've ever been to Torchy's, the sauces are no joke! I like the spice :-) My favorites are the Brushfire jerk chicken and the trailer park tacos, but I don't think there are any bad options. The house margaritas are also solid. The service is ridiculously friendly and this little area has fun neighborhood spots like this. I drove out of the way just to come to Torchy's and don't regret it!

Emma S.

Yelp
I really like Torchy's, it's a cute place for a lunch date. Their churros and tacos are my favorite! Sadly, one big thing is i'm sitting here while a dog (non service animal) is jumping up on the bar/people and whining while the owner is drinking. No one wants to eat with a dog, as much as i love them. No one has done anything about it, I've even seen a few people leave the bar area. My boyfriend is allergic and we had to go out a different door because it was right by the one by us.

Olivia K.

Yelp
Arrived around 3pm on a Thursday to multiple tables covered in trash and no one with urgency to clean them up. Tacos arrived to table quickly and was delicious. The girl that took our order finally started to bus the tables around us but never finished. This was after we clearly were talking about them and she walked by them numerous times before touching them. It's our first time to Torchys and don't know if we bus our own or not but still when it's dead, I'd expect staff to be trying.

Michael V.

Yelp
Nice to be local to a Torchy's Tacos. Been a while since I've had these and i'm all in tacos chips and queso for dinner tonight

Precious O.

Yelp
I've heard so much about Torchy's and I finally got to check it out for myself. I got the Baja Shrimp taco with a side of street corn. The taco was great. Loved the flavor and the crunch of the shrimp. It tasted super fresh and I would definitely buy it again. As for the street corn, I didn't like it at all. In fact, I couldn't finish the bowl. The corn was supposed to be roasted but it just tasted salty and burnt to me. Overall, some things are hit or miss here.

Jack C.

Yelp
So I have tried Torchy's in OKC and definitely love their steak fajitas tacos.... but I decided to try my favorite Mexican dinner; the burrito and boy was I not let down! This was by far the best thing I have had there to date and I might just not waver.... ok may be add a taco but well worth it and a great stop for lunch! So be prepared to get a taco with anything you order. They aren't overly large but they aren't tiny tacos. I'm not a big fan of the chicken but the steak is pretty darn good!
