"“Strip mall sushi” isn’t an insult at this quart-sized Burien restaurant. The service is crisp and thoughtful — the water has citrus in it — and there’s an omakase option on the menu if you’re looking to really get into it. Most diners are going to go a la carte here though, in which case don’t miss out on the Ora King salmon (a particular breed of New Zealand salmon) that is fatty and rich while still having a pleasantly firm texture." - Harry Cheadle

My wife and I have been to many sushi places within the greater Seattle area, and this place is our favorite. The big name brands don't even compare. The small town homey vibe, paired with the quality of fish, can not be out done. When you drive by, the outside might be something you would dismiss, but the quality of the dishes, the welcoming service, and free parking can not be beat. We have been coming here for years, and they continue to expand their menu and keep us coming back for more

The food was delightful, beautifully garnished, and the sushi was perfectly sized. Our server was polite, respectful, and always smiling, adding to the experience. It’s a popular spot, so reservations are recommended. The only downside was the chilly indoor temperature—heaters or a curtain by the door could improve comfort. Overall, a fantastic dining experience!

I had an absolute blast at Tori Sake & Grill. This place is a total hidden gem. Very unassuming exterior, located on the end of a bleh strip mall BUT! Tori oozes charm, a very warm and inviting atmosphere. It's small, but that just makes it cozy. The staff were all extraordinarily friendly and welcoming, and the service was excellent. The food was also top notch. Shrimp tempura, egg rolls, and jalapeño bombs were all fresh and perfectly fried. I had the Lion King maki, and my friend had the Ultimate Bluefin. Both were really delicious, packed full of flavor and umami, with the perfect amount of heat. I really can't overstate how good the food was. While the price was a little on the high end, the service, quality, and taste were definitely worth it. Will definitely be coming back again(and again and again).

Tori Sake & Grill is hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had! Every roll was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The chefs clearly take pride in their craft, and it shows in every bite. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a date night or dinner with friends. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we had a great experience from start to finish. If you’re looking for top-notch sushi and an exceptional dining experience, Tori Sake & Grill is the place to go. I can’t wait to come back!

We had guests come in from out of town who wanted some good sushi. We are not from this area but we had some local friends with us who told us that this place was really good. It looks like a little hole in the wall and that it is. Luckily, we made reservations because this place was packed if you look on the outside, you would not believe it but as you walk in this place is busy for a good reason. The sushi is fresh. The servers are very kind and knowledgeable and quick. It’s hard to find good service these days and these people are really doing it all the way around we had a great time. We laughed so much our cheeks and bellies hurt. It looks like this is a family run restaurant as the people leave guest leave they say goodbye and thank them for coming so we decided to join along and thank the customers and say goodbye as well. It became kind of a joke but also fun. The staff really appreciated us joining in with them and called us part of their family It was one of the best times our guest from Maryland said they had while in Seattle those little experiences that you get at restaurants like this that make all the difference, thank you so much for such a great time, there’s plenty of parking. The only suggestion is to make a reservation. This place is busy and for a good reason I love the fact that they put crunchy beets on top of the rolls which makes it healthy, colorful and a little bit different. They have a lot to choose from and they are not one of those places that put mayonnaise and cream cheese on everything, try this place out. You’ll love it and not wanna go anywhere else from Monroe and I’m willing to drive all the way down here for some great sushi. Thank you again for some great service a great time and wonderful food.

This is the best quality sushi I have ever eaten. So unexpected. Even better than the food was the team who greeted and served me throughout my stay. Absolutely wonderful experience. Very close to Sea Tac and worth the short taxi ride. Can’t wait to return on next trip to Seattle.

This place is a hidden gem. From the moment you walk in the door, the service and atmosphere are warm and welcoming. In fact, the only things better than the staff and environment here is the food. This is, by a healthy margin, the best sushi I’ve ever eaten. I particularly recommend the fatty tuna roll, salmon nigiri, and the king salmon roll. Thank you for a great dining experience!

Decided to stop here before hitting the airport, and by the gods what an amazing experience. Literally the best quality sushi I've had in my life. Great personality and hospitality in servers and chef. Obviously Tori's staff cares about and loves what they do.
