Google
Pasadena specialty sandwich shop!! I like their beef tongue sandwich the best! Tender meat with garlic spread and crispy bread. Combo plate was great too. Chicken was tender. Recommended calling them ahead as their prep time could be 15-20min. Supporting Small business!!

Google
Friendly staff and awesome food! Highly recommend their garlic chicken sandwich, fries with a side of their garlic sauce and the beef sausage sandwich!

Google
I came here to try the garlic chicken sandwich based on the positive reviews. Unfortunately, I found the sandwich to be edible but I wouldn’t call it good or anywhere near delicious. The fries, however, were delicious and served hot and fresh. The restaurant does have a small parking lot, which was nice. Perhaps the other menu items are better but I would not return.

The owner is friendly and busy here, cooking and chopping up for each sandwich individually, made to order. So be patient, they get a lot of orders sometime, and even sell out! My family has been here before, but for my first time here, I got the beef tongue sandwich, two sausage sandwiches, and a chicken sandwich. The slow cooked, soft beef sandwich is awesome, and I’ll order more soon!

Google
I can honestly say the food here is by far one of the best tasting sandwich and middle eastern places I’ve had. Their portions are generous and the ingredients always taste high quality. Why would you ever go to Zankou or another place when this place exists?? I’ve been to here a few times and have interacted with each member of the family and tried many different plates on the menu. Each one is as tasty and delicious as the previous.

We will be back here, so happy to discover it. Beef Shawerma sandwich was good. The Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich is big and the beef kebab plate was yummy. They have a regional yogurt drink. Be forewarned it's not sweet!

Chef Vartan is the man! First time at Torino's and definitely a believer - worth every 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 and then some - #bestsandwichinla

Google
Phone in your order to speed up the wait. I usually get the garlic chicken panini. It's so so so very good. Keep in mind the limited hours. I wish they were open for dinner. It's also one of the few places you can still get a copy of the Pasadena Weekly.

Yelp
On the recommendation from an Armenian friend, I decided to stop in to check out Torinos during a weekday lunch. This nondescript shop off Washington in Pasadena has been at the same location for over 50 years, serving up some outstanding homemade Mediterranean-inspired food. I went with the classic, flagpole item: Garlic Chicken Sandwich ($9.95). The ladies who welcomed me were very nice, working feverishly to fulfill a large catering order. The shop is small, with about a dozen seats inside. The sandwich came out fresh in a plastic basket within ten minutes, wrapped up in neat paper. Right away, you notice very simple ingredients: Chicken, Pickles, Tomato and Garlic Spread. That's all you need for a very tasty sando. The bread is fantastic. Pressed firm, with a slightly crispy exterior and soft interior, deliciously wrapping the premium ingredients and making each bite delicious. The chicken is great, no frills and no fuss. The star here is the garlic spread. Wow. This is incredible. In Los Angeles, Zankou Chicken is probably the most well-known restaurant for their chicken wraps, but I have to tell you, this sandwich blows them out of the water. The garlic paste is so good, combined with the sweetness of the pickles and tomatoes, each bite is outstanding. After finishing throw sandwich quickly, you'll be craving more. Torinos delivers fresh, tasty fare with a simple chalkboard menu of classic items. Next time you are in the Rose City, stop by to experience great food at a very reasonable price at this Southern California institution.

Yelp
Very sweet ladies running this place when I visited. Looks like it's been here forever and I'm surprised you've never tried their sandwiches. I had the Philly cheesesteak and that was delicious. My friend had the chicken sandwich and it was a little bit overloaded with garlic. Definitely a takeout spot not an eat-in kinda place. Could use a more inviting decor and more drink offerings.

Yelp
Awesome gyros! Sliced nice and thin and homemade fresh! They give generous portions and their creamy tzatziki sauce. Order it with a side of rice and salad or fries. I just wished they were open later as they are open early and close early. Great Greek salad too!

Yelp
Torino sandwich's just provided us with the best felafel sandwich we've had in years from anywhere in the world we've traveled! And there garlic chicken and fries are not to be missed at all don't be fooled by what looks like simple foods the flavors are deeply complex and deliciously inviting to come back for again and again!

Yelp
Ah-mazing!! Was craving a sando and after perusing a few menus was drawn to the reviews and the idea of a garlic chicken sandwich. I called and headed over. Never paid much attention to this location before. Boy was I sleeping! The man making it rang me up and told me he cooks the chickens in the morning. Grill to be specific. And mixes w the sauce. Adds pickles and tomatoes and voilà! He said it was simple but the best garlic chicken sandwich I'll find! He did not lie! First. It was warm. The bread was perfectly crispy and flaky (it's messy. If you're a car eater, beware). The chicken was perfectly cooked and the simplicity of the ingredients works SO well together! I ate the first half before I could stop myself! Me being cheese positive I thought that was the only thing I might want on it but that's just my inner LDL calling out. It's perfect! Even when I ate the other half later, I'd just take a bite and say ok that's it! Ha! That didn't last long once I started it either! I will be back! Use cash so you can tip as I wasn't given the option w my card. I didn't know there was a category for this, but this place wins. Hands down!!! Do yourself a flavor!

Yelp
TLDR: It has a comfy atmosphere, a kind owner, and food with strong flavors. I drove over here around lunchtime on a weekday a couple of weeks ago. I managed to find a great parking spot out front too. I wasn't sure what to order, so the owner recommended the Beef Sausage (Soujouk) sandwich after asking me what kind of meat I liked. I admit that it did take a pretty long time for the food to be ready, but maybe that was because he was the only person working and the line of people coming in for takeout was slowly increasing. I couldn't stay to dine in, so I took it with me to go and ate it in the car. Although it was a bit pricey for a sandwich, the flavor was really good. The beef sausage sandwich had a thin, crispy bread, but somehow soaked up all the flavor on the inside. The meat had a bit of a spicy kick to it that was balanced well with the acidity of the pickles and sweetness of the tomatoes. The sandwich was so warm and made my entire car smell delicious! I was finding it a bit difficult not to eat while driving! I am really curious about the rest of the menu items. I would definitely come back to try them! Maybe next time I can actually dine in too.

Yelp
I recently visited Torino chicken sandwiches and I can't say enough how much I love their authentic Mediterranean food and I can't say enough about the customer service. I love their food. I love their customer service and I completely recommended to everyone if you go around Pasadena make sure to check out this place, the fresh food

Yelp
The food is SO good and priced fairly. The owners and staff are always so sweet. I come here at least 1-2 times a week for lunch with my co workers. I definitely recommend coming here
google avatar

Yelp
The falafel sandwich is now made from powder not from fresh ingredients. The price went from $5.99 to about $8.99. .

Yelp
It was my friend and I first time at Torinos and i'm glad we stopped by for lunch!! It's a hidden gem in Pasadena run by a family business. The place is small and simple old school restaurant but a mediterranean version of a diner. The service was amazing and quick - super friendly. Wasn't feeling a sandwich so I got the mix lamb/beef platter because they didn't have chicken. Let me tell you this is one of the best gyro plate I have had in Pasadena. The meat was freshly cooked it was thinly sliced and juicy just mouthwatering and flavorful. It came with the thin sliced of meat with fries, some sliced simple pickles to nimble on, yogurt, and covered on top with pita bread. They also provided another small box of fresh Greek feta salad. The quality was everything and so tasty!! Will be back for the platter again !!

Yelp
Delicious beef sausage sandwich. The guy working there super nice gage me a free raisin drink. Quick, cheap and delish

Yelp
I had read good things about their garlic chicken sandwich and thought I would give it a try. I was told that my order would take 10 minutes and boy was that wait worthwhile. The balance of ingredients is wonderful and the garlic does not overpower the sandwich. The bread used is exceptional and compliments the ingredients within. The venue is small but a gem of an establishment for takeout. Don't miss this one if you're in need of a delight for your palate !!!!!

Yelp
Love this tiny hole in the wall . Mom and pops vibe . Amazing sandwiches . I can tell it's hand shredded to great detail . Perfect ration of garlic sauce , pickles and tomatoes . I called in my order shortly before copse . I get a call from a lady asking if I was coming before close . I was like hell ya . Like I would leave this sandwich to waste lmao . Walked in 5 min before close . Told the husband i am here for my late lunch . He explained to me the reason she wanted to know if I was coming was they pick up their kid after close . Say less . I left a tip as anyone should at a place like this . The man tells me to grab a drink . I'm like wow I feel the love in this place !!! Definitely coming back every chance I get and going to do my best to bring my dad

Yelp
Tasty sojok not sure about the chicken, great service however they don't open a lot. I like their sandwiches

Yelp
I was in Pasadena on business and found Torinos through its high ratings on Yelp. Did not disappoint. Staff was very friendly and helpful since I was not familiar with the menu. Food was fresh and delicious. Would highly recommend the gyro platter!

Yelp
Omg I love this place amazing food and awesome owners The garlic chicken sandwich and the Philly cheesesteak sandwich ... to die for

Yelp
Great hidden gem! I wish I'd found this place sooner! Family run business, very friendly. The best gyros wraps I've ever had. So good. Also very reasonable prices. I also recommend the Philly cheese steak sandwiches.

Linda D.

Yelp
I saw the reviews that said to give this place a try. Limited open hours but I was working nearby. I ordered the Lule plate and the woman in front had to ask if they had any today. The answer was no. I then ordered the Philly steak sandwich and she said their bread delivery wasn't there yet, so another no. How about the Gyro I asked? Again out of pita bread. This was about noon when they are only open 11am to 3pm. I finally ordered the garlic chicken sandwich which was very good! I'll have to give it another try on a different day.

Yelp
Small business with friendly staff and good food. Parking available to the rear of establishment.

Yelp
I get the gyro sandwhich whenever Im in the area. It's on the small side, but delicious and cheap. Has indoor dining but the restaurant is tiny so I dont like to linger.

Yelp
Little Armenian sandwich shop with lots of cool sandwiches. Small place so it's good as a takeout shop. Recommend ordering ahead as it's a one man operation and it can take 15 minutes to make a pair of falafel wraps - our selection. The wraps had a good balance of flavors but a bit heavy on the sauce which made the sandwich a soggy mess as you ate down to the second half. I think the sandwich fixings were freshly chopped as I heard a lot of knife work goin on in the kitchen while they were being made.
google avatar

Jasper T.

Yelp
Great little family owned and operated sandwich spot. I've yet to try the plates but the sandwiches are all amazing! Super friendly homey vibe. GF and I love coming here for sandwiches. So far I've had garlic chicken sandwich, beef sausage sandwich, beef tongue sandwich, and beef shawarma sandwich. All really good and I'm going down the list to eat them all!
google avatar

Isaiahs B.

Yelp
Tried the chicken garlic sandwich. Food was amazing . Highly Recommend . Thank you Vartan and family .
google avatar

Yelp
I love their shawarma wraps. They are generous with the pepperoncinis. Come here for a truly authentic meal. The lady at the front always provides great service. I've had a miscommunication with one of the men at the counter one time and he gave my friend and I a completely different order. Which was a bummer because it was my friends first time tryin them out and their experience didn't go well as a result. So double check your order They also tend to get busy so I recommend to call them ahead of time.

Yelp
I first found this restaurant when walking by one day, the aroma was amazing and I decided to give it a try. Their Gyro sandwich is the best Gyro I have ever had. I shared my sandwich with my wife later that day. The next day she sent me to get her one of her own and wanted to try their Philly Steak sandwich, no surprise, it was amazing. The following day, she sent me to get a plate and a sandwich, she was intent on trying as many as possible. Needless to say, when we are both working from home, this is our goto lunch place. I found that their garlic chicken sandwich to be the best sandwich I have ever had, no joke. It is amazing. Everything about this place is awesome, their sandwiches, plates, sides, fries, and most of all, wonderful owners. If you have not tried this place, trust me you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Incredible sandwiches! Charming service! Reasonable prices! What's not to love???? If you're not going here the next time you're in Pasadena you're a chump.

Yelp
I mean...mom and pop know how to make a delicious sandwich. It's authentic and good. Solid yum.

Yelp
Yummy food, friendly and fast service, very reasonable prices. I crave their beef tongue sandwich and french fries all the time. Their kebob plates are so good, perfectly cooked and big portions, & come with yummy salad.

Yelp
This place is excellent! They serve Armenian plates and sandwiches. You order at the counter, and they bring your food to you. The service was excellent, and the cashier helped me pick out what to order as it was my first time. We tried the garlic chicken sandwich and the beef tongue sandwich. Both were AMAZING and came on fresh French bread with delicious garlic sauce. Beef tongue is not something I would usually order, however it was truly amazing and well balanced with the toppings on the sandwich and the bread. After talking with the friendly cashier, I was made aware that ALL meat, sauces, desserts, etc are made in house which is really impressive especially given how small it is. Portions were also large and the price was very reasonable. Seriously a hidden gem in Pasadena/Alta dena.

Yelp
My friend and I went there for the first time at lunch today. It's a small momma/poppa shop, which has been there for decades. I am really shocked that this place has a 4.7 average review. I guess these reviewers never had good middle eastern food or the reviews were left many years ago, when the restaurant must have been better. It's also quite possible they were having a bad day or we just ordered the wrong things ? We had a Restaurant.com discount voucher that they did not accept; even though the coupon says clearly "Does not expire". The area is not bad; just a few blocks to the west there are lots of restaurants and places to walk. The restaurant itself is rundown. The cover picture on yelp must have been from many years ago. Also half of the items on the menu they were out of. My friend asked for Lule Kebab plate (which was listed on their board menu) and she had to go in the back and check if they had any. It wasn't like they were busy with so many lunch orders that they simply ran out. We were the only ones at the restaurant from 11:30 to 12:45. I guess the word must be out that this is not the best place to eat in that area. I ordered the Falafel plate and my friend ordered the Lule Kebab plate. OMG, it took 40 minutes to get our food. My friend made a joke - that they must be marinating his lule kebab. The plates came with rice, pita bread, homus, and a small Greek salad. I liked the Greek salad and the homus; the rice was okay; the falafels tasted stale. It might have been old oil they were frying them in ? My friend thought the Greek salad lacked flavor and everything else was average, including his Lule Kebab a bit too salty. Total bill was $50 something + tip, which included a yogurt drink and small Pellegrino for each of us. So here is my detailed rating: Area: B Ambience: C Service: B Food Freshness and Taste: C- How well the restaurant is being run: (Not having half the items off their board menu and time it took to get food): D Price/Value C Overall: C Will not be returning.

Yelp
The most delicious food. Love the hummus and the garlic chicken sandwich especially.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious flavor and care. A wonderful blend of authentic Mediterranean fare and originality. Slow roasted chicken and garlic fuels my favorite sandwich. But the fresh mint and cucumber in a Gyro pops off the tastebuds, and sets your afternoon right.

Yelp
Today's my first time at Torinos. I saw the picture of the beef Schwarma plate with fries and got that. It did not disappoint. It's a big portion that comes with a big plate of Greek salad. I couldn't finish it all. The owner is so nice and I'm so happy to found a good schwarma place in pasadena! Very good food. And the place was cute and clean. Will be back!

Yelp
WoooW i think best soujouk sandwich I ordered in us, so tasty and felafel sandwich is amazing, Philly steak sandwich is super delicious

And the food was amazing , we tried 3 sandwiches and they was really really good , I would definitely come back, the costumers Servise amazing . Blessings to this restaurant!!! Try them out!!!

Jay L.

Yelp
I've visited twice. First time they closed early. Okay. That happens. No big deal. Returned a month later. This time they told me they ran out of food. Completely. As I left I watched them close up the store behind me. They wanted to leave early again. Wow. Two strikes. No chance I'll take another swing. Go to Connal's down the block.

Yelp
Everything tastes freshly made. Juicy chicken. Grilled to order. Yummy! Wait for the fresh food was about 15 min which was well worth it.

Yelp
I just finished my lunch here and I am blown away! This all started when T-mobile Tuesday had a promotion for coupons around the area and I stumbled upon this sandwich spot. I came here on a Saturday morning, and it was fairly quiet with free street parking. It's an unassuming sandwich shop with falafel, shawarma, beef sausage, beef tongue, chicken kabob, French fries sandwich, and more. As a vegetarian I got the grilled vege and hummus sandwich and a falafel plate. They have more vege options too including a white cheese sandwich, lebneh and vege sandwich, and falafel sandwich. 1. The roasted vege and hummus sandwich was really tasty. It was thin but had a good ratio of pita exterior to veges. The veges were surprisingly very flavorful...definitely not the standard grilled veges. Super good with a hint of olives. The hummus is so obviously made fresh as well 2. The plate I think is such an amazing deal because it came with SO much food. There was a Greek salad, pita, 5-6 falafel balls on a bed of French fries, a small tabbouleh salad with some pickles, and fresh hummus. Hummus was so creamy and delicious. There was ample tahini on the side for the falafel and OH MY the falafel...freshly fried with a crispy exterior. The interior was flavorful and SO SOFT it kind of just melted away in my mouth. I am literally floored, because this place is affordable and so delicious. They have tapatio, Tabasco, and ketchup on the side too. The owners are also very friendly. This is a mom and pop shop that is deserving of support in my opinion. I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Jeremy L.

Yelp
Ordered a few sandwiches a week ago and came back next week to order a bunch more for my family. I've tried the beef tounge, beef shawarma, and garlic chicken and I think my favorite has to be the shawarma! The angus beef and tahini is rich and super flavorful. The other 2 sandwiches are pressed and the bread is super fresh and tasty. Definitely coming back! Also a big fan of the falafel. The plate is a lot of food for the price.
google avatar

Ani B.

Yelp
This is an awesome place located in Pasadena that serves delicious Armenian/Mediterranean food. Large, tasty portions are delicious and made fresh. It definitely has a home- made vibe, very cozy and family friendly. The staff is super nice. Would definitely recommend a try!
google avatar

Yelp
Great lule Kebob sandwich! Was super fresh and sandwich was loaded with two lule Kebobs and the right amount of veggies!

Shawnna H.

Yelp
I love the toung sandwich. It's my go to when I don't want to get disappointed eating out.

Vartouk H.

Yelp
I love Torino's Sandwiches!! Amazing quality food and tastes absolutely amazing. I always come here when I'm hungry and am guaranteed to feeling satisfied. I enjoy the food very much as all the sandwiches taste fresh and wonderful. The place is also very clean and people are extremely nice! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone as it is one of my favorite places to eat.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much when you walk past it, but a gem awaits. It is a family owned restaurant that dishes out made-to-order sandwiches, salads, and plates. We ordered the beef shawarma sandwich, beef sausage sandwich, which was recommended by the owner, and the chicken kabab plate. The sandwiches were delicious, but the beef sausage sandwich was our favorite of the two. The chicken, on the chicken plate, was juicy and well seasoned. The rice and hummus were exceptional. We'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Shant G.

Yelp
Had one of the best beef shawerma sandwiches I've had in a very long time. Friendly and prompt service and an great quality product. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Nichole T.

Yelp
Wow!!! The best middle eastern food I've had in a long time. I ordered the kebab plate and it was grilled to perfection. It had the flavor/seasoning I love that my hubby's family cooks with. I requested salad instead of fries and they hooked me up with a large portion of a Greek salad. I got a total of 4 big pepperccinis...Oh yeah!! Great prices and the lady at the counter was super sweet. Overall, awesome spot!
