Our recent visit to Toro Latin Kitchen and Tequila Library was nothing short of spectacular! The highlight of the evening was Danny, our cocktail artist and waitstaff who transformed our descriptive words into liquid masterpieces. Each drink was a perfect blend of creativity and flavor, making the cocktail experience a true art form.
We started with the swordfish dip, octopus, and lobster empanadas, each dish tasting like magic on a plate. The lobster empanadas, in particular, were so delicious they felt almost otherworldly. For our main entrees, we indulged in the skirt steak, lamb chops, and Wagyu steaks. Every bite was a juicy, flavorful celebration our table of six couldn’t stop exclaiming, “This is so good, it can’t get any better!” And yet, with every bite, it somehow did. The flavors were so mind-blowingly good, we joked about experiencing a “food orgasm” with each mouthful.
To end the evening, the churros with dulce de leche delivered the perfect balance of sweet and salty, a flawless finale to an unforgettable meal.
What impressed us even more was that, despite a 90-person wedding reception happening on the other side of the restaurant, the service was seamless and the quality of the food remained impeccable. Danny and his team moved quickly and smoothly, ensuring every detail of our experience was flawless.
All we could talk about as we left was how we could convince the chef to come home with us to Houston because this was, hands down, one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Toro Latin Kitchen, you’ve set the bar impossibly high! Bravo!
