5 Star hands down!!! Toro in Dania Beach is a must-try! The vibe is South American/ Japanese with a modern flair beautiful decor and great music. Drinks, apps, and entrées were all phenomenal. My whole family left happy and full! Service was fast and super attentive shoutout to our amazing waiter, Danny. Food was unique, flavorful, and top-notch. Can’t wait to go back!

Google
Excellent food and service. Knowlegable and very helpful staff if you have any food allergies. Pricey menu and cocktails, most expensive entre is $175; restaurant is in lobby of Le Meridian (luxury Marriott hotel). But prices on a limited selection of food and cocktails are substantially lower during happy hour from 5 p.m to 7 p.m.

Had dinner at Toro and it was better than I expected. We had the tomahawk and it was really perfect, all the sides were delicious too! Also not pictured were churros which also were really good. The service was really good, our server was attentive, knowledgable and friendly. The restaurant is big and located in an area where you would never think to look for a restaurant. It wasn’t full, which was nice. They have a tequila library which is a cool concept. Anyway definitely worth a visit.

My fiancee and I decided to try this place out for my birthday and it was amazing. We had the grilled octopus and smoked swordfish dip for apps, lamb chops with lobster mac and cheese for dinner and the churros for dessert. All the dishes were perfect but be warned the lobster mac and cheese is very spicy with a heat to it that builds, which was great for me but my fiancée not so much 🤣 We will definitely be back. It was beautiful inside, the atmosphere was great, we had lovely conversations with other guests throughout the night, food was delicious and our waiter Sebastian was extremely friendly, very helpful, and he knew his restaurant. Thanks for the amazing experience Toro it was the perfect night out for my birthday!

Our recent visit to Toro Latin Kitchen and Tequila Library was nothing short of spectacular! The highlight of the evening was Danny, our cocktail artist and waitstaff who transformed our descriptive words into liquid masterpieces. Each drink was a perfect blend of creativity and flavor, making the cocktail experience a true art form. We started with the swordfish dip, octopus, and lobster empanadas, each dish tasting like magic on a plate. The lobster empanadas, in particular, were so delicious they felt almost otherworldly. For our main entrees, we indulged in the skirt steak, lamb chops, and Wagyu steaks. Every bite was a juicy, flavorful celebration our table of six couldn’t stop exclaiming, “This is so good, it can’t get any better!” And yet, with every bite, it somehow did. The flavors were so mind-blowingly good, we joked about experiencing a “food orgasm” with each mouthful. To end the evening, the churros with dulce de leche delivered the perfect balance of sweet and salty, a flawless finale to an unforgettable meal. What impressed us even more was that, despite a 90-person wedding reception happening on the other side of the restaurant, the service was seamless and the quality of the food remained impeccable. Danny and his team moved quickly and smoothly, ensuring every detail of our experience was flawless. All we could talk about as we left was how we could convince the chef to come home with us to Houston because this was, hands down, one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Toro Latin Kitchen, you’ve set the bar impossibly high! Bravo!

Google
This hidden gem is worth it! Our waiter was on point, food was so warm and flavorful. All I have to say is I’m coming back to try the rest of the options I didn’t get to, this time around. The portions are what you pay for. The variety of tequila for a lover like me was one of the spotlights at their biblioteca. Enjoyed everything 😌 P.s parking is free, gets validated by the restaurant.

Google
Amazing experience, great service and one of the best Latin food experiences in a very nice clean and silent place. also have a great selection of tequilas at their bar. You must ask the bartender to surprise you! We went for a passion fruit margarita an old fashion and there were fantastic! Churros and tropical fruits sorbet after parrillada, guacamole and shrimp chicharrones…….

I will start of by saying there should be a stampede to get to Toro! If your feet have not left your body to get here yet, you are definitely missing a real treat. The service from the time you enter the door was great. The decor and ambiance was great. The servers were personable, attentive, knew the menu well, and were very accommodating. Now, the what we came here for, the food. Trust me, the flavors that hit your palette will sadly remind you of what you have been missing in your life. The meat was juicy and just succulent. The vegetables fresh and perfectly seasoned. The appetizer and drinks were awesome as well. It was apparent that everyone was a part of a team that had an end goal of delivering excellence, and the goal was met. Having this type experience, you certainly get what you pay for. Treat yourself, or, that special someone in your life. RSVP right now! Gated parking is available, and have your ticket validated upon leaving the restaurant. The restaurant is large and nicely spaced. They have a beautiful, separate side bar area to enjoy drinks.

Yelp
I've driven past the Meridien hotel countless times, and never knew Toro restaurant was located there. Our friends brought us to this spot and we loved the cuisine! Everything was fresh and flavorful. The ambience is rustic-luxe with beautiful furnishings and tequila on display. We enjoyed the grilled octopus, ceviche nikkei, and calamari. Everything was presented in a vibrant and sophisticated manner. The octopus was tender and smokey with incredible sauces. The ceviche was refreshing and intricate. The calamari was crispy and spicy. Highly recommend this great Latin restaurant!!!

Yelp
I came here for a birthday party and tequila tasting, and it went so well that I brought a work group back for dinner and tequila tasting. The tequila tasting was very cool - great to hear about and taste real QUALITY tequilas. Met the manager when I brought in my work group and he was awesome. Super willing to treat my event with the best service! The attendees really enjoyed it. Food was delicious with a nice presentation. Will be back again! LOMO SALTADO and CEVICHE pictured here.

Yelp
Toros I couldn't have asked for any better. Except maybe taking an earlier reservation and stay longer. The library with Danny and Mateo was the absolute best. Danny's knowledge of tequilas was precise and detailed on flavor description and manufacturing of some of the world's best, not just the popular. The dishes were exquisite, tasteful, and bursting with flavors. The presentation was delicate, detailed, and not over the top. For my fiancé and I, it felt intimate. Just enough volume to the music allowing for us to converse and enjoy each other. We didn't feel rushed. In fact we spent 4 hrs enjoying our time there. Personally I would have liked just a little bit more lighting to enjoy what I was eating. After a brief description of how Danny would better serve our experience, we described what our tequila taste experience was. We were open to suggestions from Danny, who chose to start with Nueveuno. Blanco for her and Reposado for me. For dinner starters we ordered the grilled octopus and fried calamari. Both tasty and delightful. For entrees she decided on the skirt steak and I went with the snapper. The presentation was lovely. But as I mentioned before maybe a little more lighting over the food... but the flavors! OMG! My fiancé and I really enjoyed the evening. I am looking forward to another evening there. We will be choosing a tues or Thursday so we can enjoy a more detail sampling and description of the tequila world.

Yelp
Stopped in for the happy hour menu on a weekend. Wasn't too busy so we sat down at the bar pretty quick. Overall I really liked everything but the happy hour margaritas were not my favorite at all.

Yelp
This was the best meal I've had in a long time! Used Yelp's "Hot and New" search some time ago to find a dinner spot and when I say it was spot on?!! Whew! Was caught off-guard by the location - it's at the base of a nice hotel I had no idea existed. Parking is thankfully free with validation. We went just before 7pm on a Thursday evening without a reservation and had our choice of the tequila room or the open dining room. We opted for the open dining room since only mezcal-based cocktails are served in the tequila room. I'd go back to sit in the tequila room because it feels like a comfortable, nicely decorated sitting room. If I smoked cigars, I imagine that room would be an inspiration to pull one out. The open dining room is very large. The tables were spread out, which was nice for privacy. Seating was comfortable as well. We were hungry and excited to try several items from the menu. My dining companion asked the waiter what was popular both for the drinks and food. We were definitely influenced by his suggestions, especially the Lomo Saltado. I have had and am not the biggest fan of the dish but his explanation made me curious. Glad we listened because it was superb. It is basically a deconstructed version which is more like steak and mashed Potatoes. The meat was uber tender and flavorful, the potatoes were divine and the roasted tomatoes and sauce complemented the dish perfectly. Outstanding. The other more traditional items we ordered - Pura Vida, Grilled Avocado - were delicious as well. Nkt to be outdone, I had the Mercado cocktail. That foam?!?! The foam could be a menu item on its own. The drink as a whole was exceptional. My dining mate's cocktail was delicious as well. The cocktail menu is well thought out and again, more than mezcal is served in the dining area. We capped the meal off with Churros which were very good with an unbelievably rich caramel sauce. Overall, an unexpectedly great meal. Looking forward to returning soon to enjoy the experience and the mezcal room.

Yelp
Geez... I so wanted to love this place but overall didn't find anything too special. The food was OK kind of bland overall but it's a touristy spot and I think a lot of people really enjoy it, it's just not authentic. I was hopeful... Will keep looking for an authentic local spot.

Yelp
I went here to celebrate a birthday and check this place off my list of restaurants to visit. Valet and self-service parking is available with validation. I love their massive wooden door entryway. The interior is dimly lit and has an intimate feel to it. Spacious. We went to an early dinner and were promptly seated. Our server Abanoub was very friendly and attentive. To start I ordered their Smoked swordfish dip which was delicious and the Mercado cocktail minus the tanteo habanero tequila. For my entree I ordered their Cusco Free Range Chicken, large portion and so darn good. My dad ordered their Pork Chop with the Potatoes Three Ways. He loved every bit of his meal. Since it was his birthday I ordered their Tres Leches and asked for it to come out with a candle. Happy hour is only at the bar. And there was an automatic 18% service charge added. Overall I had a great experience and would return for happy hour.

Yelp
Went to Toro for happy hour around 6pm on a Saturday. Located in the Le Meridian at Dania Beach. They have happy from 5-7pm. Sat at the bar in the main dining room although the tequila library also looked like a fun area to sit and dine. Got a couple drinks and some light food. The service was fantastic, our bartender was great with her recommendations on what to try. The beef skewers were very delicious and the corn empanadas didn't disappoint with the chimicurri on the side. You have to get a ticket for parking but they validate which is nice.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experince at this great restaurant with amazing service, tasty drinks and super delicious food. The restaurant is very spacious with a nice bar and two ambiance The dessert was amazing. Both the 3 leches cake and churros were soooooo good!!! The margaritas were also great. We tried passion fruit and cucumber and both were wonderful! Sebastian was our waiter and he was superb! Very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and efficient. 10 out of 10 to him.

Yelp
OUTSTANDING!!! Great food! Great customer service! Great Flavor. I'll be back soon! I opted for Happy Hour for my visit so that I could try multiple items with great prices.

Yelp
The restaurant decor is very nice, however you can always tell you are inside a hotel. The service provided at the restaurant was excellent. The waiter was very informative and friendly. We wanted to try several things in the menu, but 3 things were not available. The food we ordered was nice and the sizes were good as well. The prices for the meals were very high. This restaurant is pretending to be a high end restaurant, but it is very far from it. Would I go back, no! Again the food was good , but not excellent. There are excellent high end restaurants in Broward County, and this is not one of them. Also you need to have cash to tip the valet. This restaurant is located inside a hotel.

Yelp
Shout out first to our server, Brenen and manager Richard. Two fantastic gentlemen with excellent customer service. This restaurant has been on my bookmarks for two years ever since seeing it featured on tv show "check please." Finally was able to take my wife on a proper date night, and Toro was it! We absolutely loved everything about our experience. The ambiance was luxurious and inviting. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The service was exceptional, and the food service was fast. We ordered several drinks, and they were on point. We ordered a total of four appetizers, and the portion wise was good for two to three people. The octopus, calamari, and both ceviches we ordered were excellent. Full of flavors and all fresh tasting. We decided to split a churrasco because, ultimately, we came for the beef and it did not disappoint. Grilled to the perfect medium rare temperature. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning with friends and family.

Yelp
Hidden Gemmmmmm The food here is superior! Everything tastes like they JUST made it. Sat at the bar and had my first tequila smoked old fashioned, packed a punch! Chef Juan personally brought out his award winning Amarillo Ceviche that is, hands down, top 3 ceviches I've ever had in my life. Moved on to the angus churrasco that the grill chef cooked to perfection, thanks Tou Tou! This place should be a staple amongst the locals, lot of potential. & if you have a layover in Fort Lauderdale, you'd be lucky to stay in a hotel with a restaurant this good. As a local, I have to come back. I think next time I'll sit in the tequila library which is more intimate and moodier.

Yelp
Just re-visiting because we stopped in for the first time in a WHILE. We were left speechless. I don't remember being so blown away last time. Our waiter Abba was so wonderful. He knew the menu and made great recommendations and he was so kind. The food drinks were incredible and the food was divine. We need to put this back into our regular rotation of restaurants.

Yelp
Great selection of tequila, excellent food, and wonderful staff! I attended a mezcal tasting at Toro last year, and I remember they had a large selection of tequila. My cousin loves Tequila, so we decided to come here and do a tasting. We had the vertical tasting, which included 3 tastings of Blanco, repesado, and anejo from one brand. And, the horizontal tasting, which included 3 tastings from 3 different brands. The bartender made excellent recommendations on the brands and types of Tequila to try. The Tequila was smooth and flavorful. I enjoyed it. I also tried the oaxacan old fashioned. It was strong, flavorful, and very tasty. I have never tried an old fashioned with mezcal. It is definitely worth a try! We enjoyed light bites from the happy hour menu, truffle fries, smoked fish dip, and Peruvian chicken. All of the appetizers were excellent. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, the homemade smoked fish dip was served with fresh Plantain chips. Everything was good. My cousin enjoyed the bison burger and he loved it. He said it was tender and juicy. The staff at Toro was friendly and attentive. They spoke with us, made a few jokes, and made great company. Even the manager came over and greeted us. Great staff! Overall, I will definitely be back again for dinner and cocktails. I also want to sit at the bar with Danny, who happens to be the Tequila and Mezcal connoisseur at Toro. He looks like he can give excellent recommendations.

Yelp
We went on a rainy Friday and were sat immediately. Dominican bachata music played the entire night which I enjoyed as well as the decor and atmosphere. The drinks were pretty good and the server was very knowledgeable and explained everything, gave suggestions . (Young Latin or mixed guy with curly hair). We ordered the snapper fish and the skirt steak with pura vida (rice, beans, and sweet plantain). The steak temperature was cooked as ordered and flavorful. The rice seemed to me to be from the previous day, I cannot imagine it was cooked the same day. My guest said the fish was ok which came with a grilled avocado that they didn't like. The strawberry margarita (ordered with nothing on the rim) was good and the caipirinha I really enjoyed. My guest ordered a spicy drink with foam that was also pretty good. It was pretty empty so everything came out to us pretty quickly (especially the drinks) The 2 things I didn't like is 1) not mentioning the tip was included, the receipt does say service charge included (some places consider this the tip and some don't). This is a personal pet peeve of mine since is I used to be in the restaurant industry and we always told the guest the tip was included but they are free to tip more, not saying anything seems like trying to get over (in my opinion). 2) the old rice (assume it was old because it was really dry and its consistency), I get some restaurants not throwing away rice from the day before but this place is on the higher end and charges over $50 for the skirt steak and at that price point I do not expect old left over rice. 4 drinks, the fish, the skirt steak came out to roughly $220 including their automatic service charge of 18%.I then mistakenly left an additional $30. That was my mistake, again the server was good so I'm not too irritated.

Yelp
I wish this restaurant was in a better spot because the vibe does not match the food. The food at this place was FANTASTIC.. such a great mix up if you are looking for steak but dont want the classic steakhouse basic meat and sides. The roasted carrots are unbelievable the pichana was awesome and the drinks are top notch Also you HAVE to get the churros... incredible. If u are looking for a relatively unknown spot in the fll area, i would highly reccomend
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, great service, validated parking! Mercado and Caiprinha were so good, highly recommend trying one of the signature cocktails! Churrasco was on point. Lovely place to catch up with family or friends.

Yelp
I can't believe I've been to this restaurant so many times and have never written a review. TORO is absolutely incredible. Service is impeccable every time we come and we will absolutely be regular customers. Our favorite appetizers are the guacamole and chicharrón de camarones. Any of the ceviches are a good option. The pulpo... oh my god. Also... check out their seasonal menu. Juan, the Head Chef, is passionate about creating tastes that everyone can enjoy. We normally sit in the Tequila Library where Danny is the Tequila Master and he is a genius at curating tequila with whatever your favorite taste is. (Ask him his recommendations!) we have a liquor locker and routinely bring friends to experience the vibe and service. Richard has created a team of perfection. There is no question that we will be back.
google avatar

Eddie S.

Yelp
Service was fantastic tequila phenomenal HOWEVER the food was nothing to write home about. I have been looking forward to coming to this restaurant for a while. Imagine the disappointment I felt when my food arrived and it was overcooked and heavily salted. Not to mention automatic gratuity for a party of 2 of 18%.
google avatar

Emmily S.

Yelp
Great experience! Amazing flavor! Our waitress was super nice and very informative during our tequila tasting. The menu elevates latin food to another level. It is a very nice fusion restaurant and makes perfect for a date night.
google avatar

Dawn Y.

Yelp
I had no idea how much I didn't know about tequila before I dined here. The server was so thorough and knowledgeable about the entire menu and really added to the experience. The tequila selection is a huge collection of quality spirits that don't have all the things that make you feel regret the next day (not many mass produced brand names because of the quality). We had a margarita, smoked old fashioned, horizontal tequila tasting (they also do vertical if that's your thing), the CHICHARRÓN DE CAMARONES and the LOMO SALTADO. It was a pricey experience but delicious. This restaurant is located inside the Le Meridian hotel, has unusual hours, and a gorgeous lounge if you're looking for a more intimate experience.

Yelp
I've now gone to Toro at least a dozen times - with my +1, team members or friends to expose them to the tequila library. Nestled off the highway and attached to a (now) Marriott hotel, Toro offers both a tequila library bar experience that feels almost like a speakeasy or a restaurant style experience. For me, it's the library. Most importantly, go find, ask for, and sit with Danny. He's constantly challenging himself and exploring ways to refine his craft to give the best experience for his customers. I've had tequila tastings, tequila neat, on the rocks and cocktail style. If you give him a vibe or adjectives, he'll come up with something on the spot - passion fruit margaritas, old fashion, French 75 and more (all with tequila). Chef Juan is - consistently on point. Ceviches, guac & chips, shrimp, salmon, octopus, snapper, potatoes, churros...you can't go wrong. Definitely if you're out of town, give it a shot and if you're a local...beware, you'll get hooked! We run into a few other regulars now and it's been a fun and random get together whenever we run each other. Only things missing are 1) hiring Francy as a social media manager to take this spot to new heights and 2) making Danny a host for a tequila library podcast !
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely 10 out of 10 dining experience from service, ambiance and food! We came here for Hub's birthday dinner. Service and recommendations from Tyra were all on point! She did not steer us wrong and made sure to check on us throughout the night! Shes truly made our experience next level! The ambiance includes moody lighting, beautiful bar set up and various options for seating. For apps we shared the corn empanadas (and the accompanying sauce!!!) and swordfish dip, best fish dip I've eaten thus far! I got the Lomo Saltodo, wow, Layers of flavor!! Hubs got the fresh catch, which was a grouper filet and added a side of heirloom carrots, absolutely divine!! Even the dessert was out of this world with the variety of flavors that all worked together! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
The menu at TORO Latin Kitchen and Taqueria offers a delightful fusion of Latin American flavors with a modern twist. The variety of dishes is impressive, ranging from traditional tacos and ceviches to unique culinary creations. Each plate is beautifully presented, showcasing the chef's attention to detail. I highly recommend starting with their guacamole, made fresh tableside and bursting with flavors. The selection of tacos is diverse, with options for both meat lovers and vegetarians. I particularly enjoyed the braised short rib taco, which was tender and packed with savory goodness. The service at TORO Latin Kitchen and Taqueria was exceptional. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu, providing recommendations and accommodating dietary preferences. The waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring a seamless dining experience. The restaurant itself has a vibrant and energetic ambiance, making it a great spot for both casual gatherings and special occasions. The interior design is contemporary, featuring stylish decor that complements the Latin American theme. TORO also offer a tequila tasting room separate from the dining area. I did not get to indulge in that during my visit. In summary, TORO Latin Kitchen and Taqueria delivers a remarkable dining experience. With its innovative menu, high-quality ingredients, attentive service, and lively atmosphere, it's a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a fusion of Latin American flavors.

Yelp
My true rating is a 3.5 I went here with some friends for a special occasion. There is ample parking, you just have to make sure you get your ticket stamped for the parking lot before you leave. The décor is very simple, nothing over the top or very descriptive. It kind of seems like that bar is the focal point. Since we were waiting on a friend, we started at the bar with drinks and appetizers. The drinks were really good. Definitely 4* worthy. We had quac with chips & the swordfish dip. Both came with plantain chips with some reg chips mixed into it. They were so good. When we got seated at the table we ordered more drinks. For dinner I had the churrasco steak with rice and beans. The chimichurri sauce was tasteful. The rice and beans had no flavor which was very disappointing. They also dnt serve any type of hot sauce or salsa picante which is interesting for a latin place. I enjoyed the steak. My friend ordered the salmon which she said was good, it doesn't come with any sides. And another friend had burger and fries and the fries were really good. For dessert we had the churros and it was so good. I would ask for extra dipping sauce. The service at the bar was a phenomenon. The bartender was attentive and made sure that we didn't have to wait long for service or additional drink request. The service for dinner started out good. She gave us more information on drinks but once our food came she became very inconsistent. She barely came to check on us after even and we had to keep flagging her down to reorder more drinks or for anything else we needed. By the end of the evening, even though we were one of the very last groups there, we couldn't find her. We had to ask another waiter to get our waitress to get the check and we waited so long to even pay. It was like she completely forgot about us. We waited so long that I got up to get someone to ring us up so we could pay our bill. I am normally very patient when it comes to slow service because I dnt think it's a big deal but this was beyond excessive. It just seemed like once she thought we were done spending she stopped coming to our table to check on us or even collect the money for the bill. Overall, I definitely think the drinks and the appetizers are the best part of this restaurant. The bartenders are on top of their game. The food was good, some aspects could've been better. The reg service for dinner definitely needs some work. I def would come back for happy hour, appetizers and desserts and just sit at the bar.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem of a place. Don't let the fact that it is in the hotel deter you. We had trouble finding a reservation for our last-minute family dinner and this place showed available on my OpenTable account. So, I thought we would try. It looked beautiful from the inside and got good reviews. First, the staff was sooo kind. Every interaction we had was above. We had to amend our reservations a few times, and they were patient. Our waiter could not have been kinder. Smiles, friendly, laughed, and knowledgable of the menu. GREAT cocktails with creative presentation. They also have beers and wine available by bottle or glass. The food was outstanding. A bit pricy, but standard for SoFL and BIG portions. Some of us had their Bison Burger. Its HUGE and DELICIOUS. I would get this again for sure. We also had the Skirt Steak, which was easy to share and perfectly cooked. The Rock Shrimp Appetizer was a hit and was very flavorful and cooked in clean oil (you can tell!). The Ceviche' was fresh, flavorful, and chilled just right. The guac has roasted avocados in it and we got 2 orders because we couldn't stop! The overall ambiance was perfect for us. We were earlier for the dinner crowd but very much appreciated hearing each other without feeling like you could hear a pin drop too. The tables were not on top of each other. Felt roomy without being sparse. It had a nice mix of crowd once dinner time picked up. Mostly business professionals or people were doing the Tequila Tastings. Tips: Parking is easy to self-park and they validate. They have a kids menu, and the dress is dressy/resort casual. It's not really near anything else in walking distance.

Bowman S.

Yelp
Excellent food but everything else was disappointing. Dinner on a Wednesday night at 7:00pm and only 3 tables occupied including ours and 5 people at the bar. Other reviewers that rave about the ambiance are idiots. Place was built around 5 years ago but is very dated and was not obviously professionally designed. One large open space, nothing soft/no fabrics, very loud from normal conversations/movement, heavy/unproportionally correct seating, poor lighting choices, etc. We're a professional middle aged white couple and our server thought we couldn't read? He took way to much time reading much the menu to us? After wards his primary focus was hanging at the front desk on his phone. Once ordered, all food came out fast, sizable portions and delicious. Surprise at the end with a automatic added 18% gratuity which we would typically leave more for a good experience but also find it shady when it's not disclosed.

Yelp
It's so beautiful inside but the meal was just ok. Cocktails are great as they should be for the price point. Chimi steak was unremarkable to be so expensive, I could execute better myself. Brussels were nice. Server was sweet and attentive but a bit chatty. Overall expected more from the pretentious decorum and location being in a hotel but it fell a bit flat for me food wise. Parking is validated with check which is appreciated.

Yelp
Located right in the Le Meridian hotel, this hidden gem was a pleasant surprise for me and my family who was in the mood for tequila and came here for a tequila tasting. The staff was amazing, very knowledgeable and accommodating. They even offer happy hour on a Saturday which was a delight since we were able to get light bites with our tasting. It was such a beautiful establishment. Very intimate for date night and great for ladies night. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
10/10, amazing!!! The food, staff, ambiance...everything was top notch. Our family of 4 ordered the kale salad, free range chicken, filet mignon, burger and Brussels. They were all perfection! We seriously did not have any expectations, given this was attached to the hotel we had just checked into. Shoutout to the amazing staff that sat us at 8pm on a Saturday night (with no reservations). The restaurant was packed but the sweet manager could tell we were hungry and exhausted, and made sure to squeeze us in. 2 weeks later, we're still talking about how we wish we had Toro in California!! Definitely give this a try!

Yelp
Upon walking in, the ambiance was immediately welcoming. Service was excellent throughout dinner. I loved the table settings and the decor. I ordered the Lomo Saltado and my fiancé ordered the burger. Both dishes were great, but I thought the price for the Lomo was a little steep. Overall, great experience and flavorful food. Perfect for date nights!

Yelp
This place is always a great time! I had friends visiting from out of town and we came here to have a drink. We really enjoy their quality of liquor choices. We were also excited to learn that they were still running a happy hour, which were pretty great deals. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. They validate parking so that makes the process easy! Can wait to return and try more of their menu items. They also have a cool tequila experience which I want to go back and try.

Yelp
I've eaten here 3 times. The first time was approximately 3 years ago. I'd say they were slightly better then than now. Recently I had a Toro burger. I asked for medium but the burger came rather dry (non juicy). I believe it's due to it being a bison burger. Bison is probably a leaner meat. At $28 they could add Duck fat or something to bring out the juiciness. It's overpriced. Maybe I'm delusional and don't understand that a Hotel Bar has to charge a premium for their food. I'm ok with the premium. But the food quality should be on par with the price. At $28 a burger should "wow" you. You should be thinking of that burger any time you get a hankering for a burger. Honestly, Tap 42 in Davie or Ft. Lauderdale makes a burger for $17 that's at least 2-3 times as good. To their credit they have a cool niche of being a "Tequila Library" bar. They should elevate their status by raising the food quality flavor and preparation. The Bartender is great and on point. In fact, she's the best thing at Tori. She conscientiously crafts her cocktails and still has a great presence of mind to make sure everything is going well with your experience. They should make her the manager.

Yelp
Honesty the food was good but Tyra made the experience really enjoyable. seemed very sweet and super informative when it came to tequila. Her recommendations were on point and her cocktails were great!

Yelp
We decided to try this restaurant while in Miami for a short time for a friends birthday. Shout out to our server Aba for taking great care of us and being genuinely amazing all around! I can tell you with confidence, this is one of the BEST meals I have EVER had! This will be a long review, there's just SO much to say, I've got to tell the world :) Our table started with many appetizers to get a taste of everything. The first to come was the guacamole served with 2 different corn chips and plantain crisps for dipping. Fresh and delicious, our party scrapped up every drop. Then we dove into the ceviches which completely wowed me! The flavor mixture of the fresh raw fish and citrus juices, fruits and little touches were everything a raw dish should be. Cream corn empeñadas landed an A+ with my party. Golden to perfection with sweet creamy corn filling that paired so well with the chimichurri (which went amazing with everything). We shared a plate of tender, juicy chicken skewer's which were divine as well. Once the appetizer's were over, we decided to share an entree of 4 meat skewers which included an array of meats like chicken and picnha. It was more than enough to feed our party. The meats were rolled out on a butcher table, where our server sliced them up one by one and placed on a hot skillet, which then was served for our party to grab around the table. The dipping sauces of tangy bbq and chimichurri were a great touch. All of the meats were tender and cooked to perfection! Our friend who likes his steak well done, was able to keep the steak on the skillet longer aiding to his preference. On to my favorite, DESSERT! They brought out a tres leches cake and omg, there really aren't words to explain how incredibly moist, soft and delectable this cake is. It was so good, we decided on a 2nd dessert of churros! These churros beat any cinnamon dessert I've ever tasted out of the water! Crunchy on the outside, soft, warm and delectable on the inside. Everything a churro should be and more. Served with a scoop of vanilla gelato and Dulche de leche. Our servers name was Aba, he was amazing and catered to our every need! All of the staff were incredible. The service is unmatched here! We can't wait to come back for our next trip!

Yelp
The best meal I've had in years! The grilled octopus, pork chop, beans and rice, chicken, mashed potatoes, and especially the spicy Mercado cocktail is a party in your mouth! When you say "Mmmmm" after every bite, you know it's spectacular. Tyra was a very kind and attentive server. Definitely coming back ASAP!

Yelp
Food was SO GOOD! Expensive but very quality. Service was excellent. Tuna tacos not as great as the description but shrimp, empanadas, skirt steak, old fashions- AMAZING! Wedge salad was a bit over dressed. Had a great meal! Horrible hotel representative when we couldn't get out of the parking lot despite restaurant validation- but despite him a wonderful evening.

Yelp
Overall good experience! The corn empanadas were delicious. The guac was a bit bland. I enjoyed the lomo saltado, the tomato and peppers topping was a bit spicier than I would have liked. They also were able to turn their signature cocktails into mocktails which I really appreciated. Dog friendly which is a huge bonus as a guest of the Le Meridien hotel (also dog friendly).

Yelp
We have always sat in the Library side of the restaurant. The "Head Librarian" (aka Master Mixologist) is Danny. AMAZING drinks. Personalized service. Danny will ask you a few questions about preferences and tastes and will concoct a drink for you using tequila or mezcal. Or if you have a favorite already he will make a rift on an old classic. We went for Father's Day (but on Saturday night) and sat at the big dining table. Party of 7. We were recommended the Tomahawk Steak and then also the "chef's choice" of a variety of proteins served on a large cutting board, family style. We were stunned. Lol. The Tomahawk is finished table side with a foie gras. And then the protein selection included a lomo pork chop that might've been the best thing on the table! A giant chop with the pork belly still attached. Also on the board was giant shrimp, red snapper, etc. Dinner was also served with 4 family sized side dishes. The setting in the library is very intimate. You feel like you're the only customers there (even if there are other tables taken). We've been when we've sat at the bar for a nice quiet date night, or at this large family style table. Either way you can't go wrong. Danny tries to make your experience unique and special. His drinks are thoughtful and delicious. Richard (the manager) always comes around to greet and check in and make sure you're having the best time. The entire staff is awesome. We LOVE Toro!!

Yelp
We have passed by this place dozens of times on the way home from work, and finally last weekend we decided to try it. It did not disappoint!! We loved the ambiance, the food, and the service was amazing. We sat in the tequila library, which was classy and much quieter than the other side of the restaurant. Our waiter, Ricardo, created a delicious tequila cocktail for me. If you tell them what you normally like to drink, they will make you something similar with tequila. My husband sipped on a tequila that was recommended to him. For an appetizer, I highly recommend the octopus...it was outstanding! I ordered steak for my entree, my husband had the pork chop, they were both delicious. I love that the menu shows allergens. I was able to customize my entrée based on my specific needs. We loved it here, look forward to coming again one day. (Expect to spend $200-300 on dinner for two people after tip.)

Yelp
Our first visit to Toro was a Yelp Elite event where we got to sample most of Toro's menu. For my wife's birthday she wanted to celebrate at Toro as she like it so much. Upon arrival we sat at the bar in their tequila library and asked the bartender to just make us "something". The cocktails he came up with hit the spot and prepared us for our meal to come. While sipping our cocktails Chef James came to say hello to welcome us. It was nice to see him again as we did spend time chatting during the Yelp event. After ordering a second round of cocktails we took our drinks to the dining room. I ordered a steak with a side of Brussel sprouts and potatoes 3 ways which all of us shared. My steak was perfectly prepared and a very good cut of meat. The Brussel sprouts excellent as were the potatoes. My wife ordered the lamb chops which she said were very good and also perfectly cooked. For dessert we shared an order of churros. Yes Chef James and his crew know what they are doing in the kitchen. A meal at Toro is a destination dinner for those special occasions. We will be back!

Yelp
Never thought of going into a hotel and eat at the restaurant when I'm local. However, Toro was recommended to us and we gave it a try. What a nice surprise. The place is beautiful and the food is absolutely delicious. Their ceviche could not be fresher. Their octopus appetizer was fantastic. Bison burgers cooked to perfection. Service was excellent. Will be going back soon.

Yelp
I love Latin food, honestly not impressed! I genuinely was looking forward to this place. I could go to a different independent and have better food. I don't like chain restaurants; We ordered a beef tenderloin skewer.... chewy! Tenderloin?? service was okay, but for 2 appetizers and 2 beers, over priced AND add 18% gratuity !! We won't return!

Yelp
It's a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Very cozy place! modern style! Definitely fine dining. Love it! It can be expensive but worth it! Food is very good ! The octopus is to die for! Grilled avocado was surprisingly delicious!Cocktails WOW! When you do check-in on Yelp restaurant offers you a free drink/cocktail if you order a main dish! Forgot to mention the welcoming drink was very nice! Honestly didn't expect it! Would definitely come back to this place! Highly recommend!
