"Tucked away in the TPC Scottsdale (the golf club that hosts the WM Phoenix Open the PGA Tour), Toro is one of celebrity chef Richard Sandoval’s many fusion odes to modern Latin cuisine. Although the menu features cooked dishes, the outlier and standout here is Nikkei-style sushi, which blends Peruvian ingredients and cooking techniques with Japanese flavors and sushi techniques. The results are whimsical sushi rolls with bold Latin flavors that were the evolutionary result of Japanese immigrants working on coastal plantations in Peru in the 1800s. Don’t miss the Acevichado Nikkei, which blends shrimp tempura with hamachi tiradito, leche de tigre, togarashi aioli, and kabayaki (think teriyaki-style eel). For sushi traditionalists, there are nigiri, maki rolls, and 32-piece sushi platters." - Nikki Buchanan, Eater Staff

"Toro may mention the word ‘Latin’ in its name, but it fails to also include the Japanese and Chinese-Peruvian influences that also figure into its menu. Chef Richard Sandoval’s establishment at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort includes  a menu that caters to a variety of tastes, whether in search for sushi, ceviche, or a 52 oz tomahawk steak. Find interesting touches like ponzu butter on the trumpet mushroom side dish, or the lobster fried rice that also includes chorizo. Don’t forget the “Rum Bar” part of the name either —Toro offers a serious selection of rums to drink neat or in cocktails." - Asonta Benetti

Such a beautiful location about a mile from The Princess. We loved there was a shuttle option. Service was absolutely top notch. Atmosphere and vibes were 5 star! The food I was hoping to be more than it was. We were in a group and had a set menu (wonderful options). However be aware in a group setting and you are wanting the steak option, it will only be prepared to medium for “accuracy and speed”. As a rare steak eater that would not work and I then chose the chicken (which was delicious). My mother got the steak and it was so well done it could not be eaten. The appetizers and salad we had prior to the meal was fantastic. The watermelon, tomato and burrata salad was out of this world and I actually tried to recreate at home. Strawberry margaritas were consumed and also wonderful. Would just have loved main courses to have been executed. Would definitely visit again!

Me and my husband went here to celebrate an anniversary and I must say Armando (I hope we got the name right) but the Cuban guy really made our experience wonderful. Right from the beginning the restaurant was beautiful they sat us at a table with the perfect view of the golf course by the water. Then they sent us complimentary champagne along with a house bread appetizer with a delicious tomato sauce and small smoothie palette cleanser which was very delicious as well. My husband had the Cusco chicken (which I also picked off) the chicken and the mashed potatoes with veggies were sooo good! The dish was very flavorful and savory I almost couldn't stop eating it. Then I got the crunchy roll sushi which was very good as well very fresh and delicious some of the best sushi I've had in a long time. Then we also got a dessert to go which he informed us was also on them. Armando was extremely informative and seemed very passionate about each individual dish and drink. We both had a wonderful experience thanks to him and we would love to come back here.

We came in as a large group and had a great experience. The food was delicious, the entertainment was enjoyable, and we loved the area where we were seated, the view was absolutely phenomenal. We highly recommend TORO for large group gatherings.

We walked into Toro for lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were immediately impressed by the atmosphere inside. Service was great, our server Madison was very attentive and explained the menu to us and also provided suggestions on how we can custom order to make something vegetarian. We loved each dish that we ordered and on top of it we were not charged for the desserts. Highly Recommend!!

Google
Sushi roll was delicious. The fried rice had layers of flavor. Cubano was classic, and very rich. A really great lunch.

I recently visited this restaurant expecting a high-end dining experience but left feeling underwhelmed. The view was definitely a highlight, offering a nice ambiance, but the service didn’t quite live up to the setting. Our experience started on a sour note with a poor greeting from the hostess, and unfortunately, it didn’t improve much from there. We waited a bit too long for our server to acknowledge us, and when the water server came around, they spilled water on the table. While accidents happen, it didn’t leave the best impression. The menu offered a brunch option even though it was 3:30 PM, which felt a bit out of place. Also, there were limited gluten-free options, which could be frustrating for those with dietary restrictions. The food itself was a mix of highs and lows. The meat in the breakfast tacos was flavorful, but the eggs were disappointingly plain, lacking any real seasoning or flair. As for the Cusco tacos, they were greasy and the veggies, particularly the raw onions, were overpowering. I had hoped for a fresher, more balanced flavor. It's disappointing to pay these prices for food that lacks quality. Lastly, the portion sizes were small, leaving us still hungry after finishing our meals. Overall, it felt like the restaurant was trying to be fancy but didn’t quite deliver on the details. It’s a place with potential, but there’s room for improvement in both service and food quality.

Google
Everything tasted very good. Our meal was correct and everything came out hot. I just felt like the food wasn’t very original or interesting. Our cocktails were delicious and food turned out good! Just felt expensive for the lunch that we had. I wish I had tried the sushi because looked pretty good.

Google
toro restaurant in Scottsdale treated me so well last night the place was stunning right on a golf course the inside was luxurious I the food was AMAZING! I appreciate who came it was the best time ever! had so much fun.

Yaritza R.

Yelp
One word : BRENT ! You must request him as your server. He will give you the best service ever. He knows the menu like the back of his hand and presentation is amazing. The food is so great and tasty - so worth it. Please don't walk, run !

Doris C.

Yelp
Solid service, solid food. Really a 4.5 star review as everything was very good but not exceptional. The dessert; the bomb was fun and a great play on textures and that' was the highest point. However, I have nothing to complain about and I'm a picky nyer, so that's something. The complimentary bread basket is a huge winner; how can you go wrong with cheese bread? The chef's sushi platter was fine, but nothing groundbreaking. The salmon dish was a hair overdone and a touch too salty, but overall a good dish.

Yelp
We came back to Toro to celebrate my birthday. We really do enjoy coming here. The service while pretty slow was very kind and friendly. It can get a little loud in there as there are lots of families and golfers after a day on the course. It does have very pretty views of the golf course. And a beautiful view of sunset. Food is just delicious. We love the sushi, the short rib, tacos, the octopus, and of course the best dessert ever.... La Bomba.

Elaine V.

Yelp
We stopped in for appetizers. They were pretty good and service was excellent. But the sad part is the waiter let us know they are going to be remodeling the restaurant very soon. So I'm excited to see the results

Kristin P.

Yelp
Honestly really good food and a beautiful location of the golf course. The La bomba was shockingly mine and everyone else's favorite part!. The service of the restaurant was really good too. Unfortunately we were there when a fire alarm was set off which took about 10 min to turn off but the safe did their best to keep everything smooth!!

Gerald J.

Yelp
Was in the mood for sushi and heard that this place has amazing sushi and amazing views. Let me just say that both of those statements were understatement. The sushi was amazing and the view from whole number 18 on the golf course was one of the best views in the city. Our server Don was amazing. He was very knowledgeable. He was one of the most really people and he was on top of everything. It was a traditional atmosphere of a country club restaurant very well manicured quiet. I thought everything about the property and my experience was great. If you are staying at the Princess , you definitely should make time to go have lunch here. Service 5/5 Food 5/5 Coffee 5/5 Food Quality 5/5 Atmosphere 5/5 Parking 5/5 View 5/5

Yelp
Stayed at the Fairmont for Christmas at the Princess and this was the only restaurant with a dinner reservation. We were kindly greeted by staff and seated overlooking the gorgeous greens on the patio. It was a bit chilly and they didn't have enough heaters, but we made it work. We started with a round of delicious cocktails and got the kids their food quickly ordered. Unfortunately my kiddos max n cheese arrived cold and we had to send it back, but they took it off the check. We had the amazing bread to start and devoured it, so good! Then followed sushi that was decadent and ended with the churrasco platter which was so filling! Pros: views, cocktails, delicious and variety of food Cons: not enough patio heaters, kids food came cold

Jen B.

Yelp
Highly recommend this place! The food was great and had a lot of options for gluten free. They even made their famous dessert GF for our table! My only complaint is that the short rib portion size was smaller than expected, but it was delicious! My husband got the black cod that was cooked perfectly but lacked flavor. We would definitely go back but would order an appetizer or side to pair with my meal and my husband would pick something else on the menu. Service was great as well as the drinks!

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Happened upon Toro as we were staying just down the street at Sheraton for the weekend. Don took care of us and was Fantastic! He was super knowledgeable about their menu and so personable. Honestly it was the best meal we've had in a long time. I had their club and my husband had the mahi sandwich. Off the charts amazing! We're planning to come back for dinner! If you can have Don as your server, you'll absolutely have the best experience!

Ashley M.

Yelp
If you're looking for an incredible, unique dining experience, this is the place! We were seated on the outside patio with a great view of the golf course and were quickly served some complimentary cheesy bread! The hostess had asked prior if we had any allergens or sensitivities - one member of our group was so happy and surprised to have gluten free bread! It's so hard to find anywhere else! We loved the Latin-Asian fusion menu, having both sushi and tacos complimented with wine and cava! The drinks were well picked and refreshing, but the best overall was the sushi. Sooo fresh, flavorful, and unique. We loved this place, and although the bill wasn't cheap, the experience was worth it!

Angel H.

Yelp
We've now visited this restaurant 2 times. I'm not sure why it took us so long to come here since we live about 15 minutes away. Maybe I need to explore more resort restaurants. We were able to sit on the patio a month ago without it being too warm. This recent visit, we decided to stay indoors. Our server, Don (Donald?), was exceptional. He's a keeper! Food - just order a bunch of stuff to share. I'm a big fan of variety so I love when my husband is willing to split things with me. Everything we have tasted has been great! They have sushi that I'm hoping to try on our next visit. Definitely coming back.

Renita F.

Yelp
The Lobster fried rice and pork belly macaroni and cheese still has me in a chokehold...it was absolutely fantastic!! I'm impressed with the service, food, and aesthetics

Chan Y.

Yelp
Unique fusion of Asian and Peruvian flavors with huge selection of Rums from around the world. Beautiful views of the surrounding golf courses. Came to enjoy some flights of uncommon rum and desserts. "La Bomba" was the best part, being both dessert and artwork. It's a chocolate sphere that's shattered on the table and then eaten as is!

Joy S.

Yelp
My son and I just had the best meal of our lives at Toro! The ribeye medium rare was done to perfection. and the la bomba dessert was out of this world delicious. Clearly a chef with immense talent. On our first night here, we ate at the bourbon steakhouse (much pricier and far less flavorful ribeye and everything else, for that matter). Tonight, when we got to Toro, we weren't even hungry, but the food was so delicious, we ate every bite and were sad when it was gone. Ha! We both find ourselves wishing we had gone there every night of our trip. The steak was juicy and flavorful with the perfect amount of flaked salt on the plate next to it. (See photo). I wish we had gotten a photo of the dessert before it was broken for us. It comes in a beautiful chocolate bowl the chef makes earlier in the day from Peruvian chocolate. I'm telling you, immense talent. Seems crazy to us that anyone could give this place fewer than 5 stars.

Fabiano M.

Yelp
Great food great service friendly staff. Overall very positive experience. Went on date night and had a wonderful time. I will most certainly be going back.

Nanci G.

Yelp
This place is top notch. Located on the golf course at the Scottsdale Princess. Customer service beyond the best, the food? So delicious. If you are throwing a party this is your place. I have a few pics to share with everyone. The staff were so helpful

Hossein J.

Yelp
I have been coming to Fairmont Princess for about 10 years and I tried Toro about 7 years ago and we loved the food. On my recent visits 2 years ago and this week we tried the food again and we were disappointed on both occasions. The Resturant sits on a beautiful golf course, the Resturant it's self is decent, it can be updated a-bit considering that this is a high end Resturant in a Fairmont hotel. We had a couple of their ceviche and they were pretty good, not my favorite but good. We also order 4 rolls. The angry tuna, Lobster, eel and truffle Roll. The sushi was just average okay and definitely not what you would expect from a Fairmont Resturant. We love Sushi so venture out to find the net best place. I know that this is not a sushi Resturant but they have a sushi bar. We tried other food here on our last visit and the Sea-bass was pretty good. So over all the food is Average or bellow Average. Service for sure was not up to the standard of a Fairmont Resturant. Server was not attentive enough, to the point that our sushi was sent to the wrong table and the server realized it long after the fact and by the time she came to notify us about the mixup it was maybe about 45 minutes after we had placed our order. It took roughly 1 hr to get our food, granted our sushi was comped and that was a nice gesture but not enough "in my opinion" to compensate for the huge mess up, specially since the Resturant was empty. Our kids got the Mac and cheese and chicken strips which were okay and they liked. We had the La bomba which was cool, We didn't like the one of the sauces they put over it. The Ice cream and the sorbet were really nice. Probably the best part of the experience. Here are the ratings in my opinion. You should try and experience for self. 3 for food 5 for location 4 for Ambiance 2 for Service 4 for Desert

Yelp
After a sunny and hot round of golf there is no better restaurant to take a break at than Toro. Toro is located in the nicest clubhouse I've ever been to. It is on the TPC Scottsdale course, the same course that hosts the Waste Management tournament. From the moment you walk into the restaurant you know this is going to be a great experience. The staff was incredible, from the friendly hostess to our attentive waiter; they were absolutely fabulous. To eat I had the carnitas nachos. The slow roasted carnitas were very good and it was a huge quantity. Snacking on carnitas while looking at their beautiful view was a great way to finish off a day of golf!

Yvonne R.

Yelp
Toro latin grill has great sushi and great views of a sprawling green golf course, along with mountain backdrops. I enjoyed the sushi assortment for two 46 pieces, It was very fresh and tasty! The drinks were mild but pretty. I forgot to take a picture of the tower, but I went back for lunch and hit a spicy Tina roll. It was garnished. I would visit if you're in Scottsdale. The south western decor is unique.

Scott B.

Yelp
Great location and beautiful views. That's about it. This place should just be what it is..... The 19th hole. Scrap the entire menu and serve some real food. A menu of favorites that you would expect at a first class country club would work. The whole "Latin" thing isn't working. The only people going there are tourists or guests at the FAIRMONT PRINCESS. I'm a local and get dragged there every time someone is visiting from out of town. Like everything at the Princess it's overpriced. The quality is poor and the entire building smells like a locker room. With 500+ restaurants in SCOTTSDALE there are better places to enjoy.

Cathe A.

Yelp
Unique delicious cuisine, craft cocktails, but tailored and incredible service! (Ask for Randall, he made my graduation dinner so much more special!) Latin/Asian fusion can only be a marriage of exotic blends and flavors! We had ceviche, calamari, sushi, fried rice and more. Everything was fresh and just oh so good! The drinks were fantastic: strong and deliciously smooth. The finale with La Bomba....something about the experience, the decadent chocolate bowl, and the five bursting ice cream scoops with pieces of cake and chocolate. The cherry on top was the individualized service we received from everyone especially Randall, a very promising young entrepreneur. Thank you Toro, we will be back!

Silvia K.

Yelp
Went for a V-Day lunch, looked like they were setting up for dinner but the staff was very nice and attentive. The ambiance was nice we got seated by the window and could see out to the golf course. My Husband had a roll and I had the Sonoran Dog they offer a dessert bomb that tastes amazing!

Janill M.

Yelp
Best sushi we've had in Scottsdale during the past year living here. The Tiradito is a must try. Beautiful views to the golf course, great venue to catch a sunset. Service was very good too. We plan to come back and bring friends and family!

John R.

Yelp
This is an interesting place with a menu that is just as interesting. Not being starving, I passed on the starters and instead went right into the Salmon - miso marinade - heirloom carrots - shiitake mushroom - bacon morita chili jam - achiote ponzu, for the meal. The side we shared on the table was the Potatoes Three Ways - crispy potato - roasted fingerling - mashed potato - red wine ancho sauce. The salmon turned out to be a great choice of flavors, and it was cooked to perfection. The potatoes were all together in a skittle, which was not the presentation that was expected, but it actually worked out surprisingly well. To end the meal, instead of dessert, I had a flight of rum which was wonderful. I do wish there were more people at our table to us to share the La Bomba - chocolate half sphere - seasonal sorbet - dulce de leche ice cream - pistachio ice cream - berries - crumble - vanilla and candy pistachios. Yes, it is a chocolate sphere, but that doesn't really describe it well since they come to your table, place a paper mat in the middle, and then drop the sphere in the middle. It cracks open surprisingly well and then is covered with some sauces by the server to complete the presentation. Wow! Get your video recording started for this one!

James N.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful. Our server, Madison, could not have been better. She was right there with recommendations and extremely attentive. The filet was spot on as was the lobster fried rice. We started the meal with the calamari and the corn empanadas. Everything was done to perfection and we enjoyed each bite while taking in the views of the golf course at sunset. The outdoor dining area has plenty of misters to keep things cool and pleasant. Toro exceeds expectations and delivers everything one might expect from a Fairmont property.

Karen D.

Yelp
We got here a bit early for dinner so we weee given the lunch menu. After a few minutes we decided to have some drinks and just talk until dinner (1 hour). The staff was very accommodating and helped us with appetizers and drinks. What a great idea to wait for dinner!! Sat at a window so we could see the fold course and the sunset. It was so worth the wait. We ordered Lomo Soltado Broccolini and the Filet. OMG this was fabulous.

KD B.

Yelp
Service was okay, the drinks were also okay, beautiful view from the patio. I don't think I will be coming back.

Assal M.

Yelp
What a nightmare!!! We stayed at the Princess Fairmont Resort in Scottsdale Arizona. It's been our Christmas tradition. Decided to have dinner at Tori. First night we had a great experience. Second night was an absolute nightmare. Our reservations were for 7:30 (keep in mind I have a 3 year old and a 12 year old at dinner with us) We ordered the tomahawk steak for $200.00 asked for it to be cooked medium rare. They bring out steak but it's cooked medium well - some parts well done. Our wateriest comes out and agrees the steak is over cooked and that she will have the chef prepare us a new one. Manger comes out completely rude and aggressive and tells us this is what "thier" medium rare looks like. That they can attempt to make it again but not sure if it will come out right. I tell her if she thinks that the chef can't cook it correctly we can order something else. Then the chef decides to comes out also aggressive and says that the inside of the steak was pink. I show him a picture of what a medium rare steak should look like. I then show him a picture of a slice I tried to eat from the tomahawk they brought out for us. I again explain to him that we can order something else and he tells me he will "prove" to me that he can make this tomahawk steak. We wait for to steak and time is going by we still have no food. At this point it's 9:45 almost 10:00pm and we still haven't had our food. My 3 year and 12 year old have not had dinner yet. We were going to share the tomahawk. Kids are getting cranking half our guest at the table have ate and half of us haven't ate. I decided to ask for the check. The manager comes out again and I tell her we are leaving to just forget about the tomahawk and bring the bill. It's 9:50 - It's late my kids are tired. I'm tired! It's been 2 hours no food. She tells me we have to pay for the tomahawk since they attempted to make it for us. Keep in mind the tomahawk never came out. I pretty much get super upset at this point and tell her I'm not paying. She then decides to call security and the police! We explain to security our side of the story. Security ends up being amazing. Helps us out. We end up leaving the restaurant headed back to our hotel. They call the manager at the hotel asking them to make us pay. Long story short we will never eat at Toto again nor will I pay for such horrible service. my girlfriend almost had a heart attack from the amount of stress they put us through by trying to call the cops and security. What kind of bs service is this! I have never ever had such horrible experience and service. Here are pictures of the tomahawk they tried to serve us the first time - never got to see the second tomahawk because it never came out. If you look at the cites you can tell the steak is cooked medium well and some part well done. If you are looking for good service, good food, friendly environment this is definitely not your place.

Mary Ann P.

Yelp
Had a Valentine dinner here and had to send my steak back as it was tooooo tough,,,Refused to pay,,,,will not return,,,,,,limited menu for AZ

Nupur K.

Yelp
Our waiter was on top of everything. Very attentive, courteous and funny. Great food , loved every dish we ordered. Highly recommend the restaurant.

Lil Birdie N.

Yelp
Very nice restaurant located at the golf course. Outside seating has amazing view of the course. Food pretty decent.

Kelly F.

Yelp
Another fabulous restaurant choice on the property of the Scottsdale Princess. Toro is about a mile off the main property, situated on the golf course. There's a shuttle that runs between the property and the golf course very frequently, so it's easy to hop on the shuttle and head over for lunch or dinner at any time. We started with cocktails! I had the classic mojito, and my boyfriend tried the zombie. My mojito was pretty standard and I could have done with a little more flavor in it, but his zombie was really fantastic (and had a great presentation, with flaming fruit on top!) so I'd highly recommend trying the zombie if you like very booze-heavy drinks. My boyfriend is Caribbean and is really into rum, and he was very impressed with the selection of Caribbean rums they offered at Toro; a few of them were ones he said were hard to find back in Ohio. We started with a seared salmon roll for an appetizer. If you try one thing here, I'd recommend the sushi. It was truly amazing, some of the freshest and most flavorful sushi I've had in a long time. Plus they make it right in front of you at the bar! I had carnitas tacos with truffle fries for my meal. I really enjoyed the combination of flavors in the tacos, although I did feel the meat was slightly dry for my liking. My boyfriend had the Cuban sandwich and it was fantastic; perfectly warmed and the bread was so crispy and delicious. Overall we really enjoyed our meal here. It was definitely a bit expensive so keep that in mind, but the food and service was great, and it has great views since it's situated right on the golf course. Worth stopping by if you're staying at the Princess! I'd say this was our second favorite on-property restaurant, after La Hacienda.

Tobin S.

Yelp
As a rum aficionado, this is a little slice of heaven. Seafood is super fresh and lots of styles---great knowledgeable servers and management runs a smooth ship--marinated meats and seafood have loads of flavor and salsas have the right amount of kick!

Kayla C.

Yelp
The food here is amazing. Don always takes such good care of us. He is super friendly and always makes sure we have a good time. The view is beautiful during the day. Overall, the service is the best part of coming here. Thank you Don for ensuring we had an amazing time.

Patricia B.

Yelp
The menu showing on the website for the TPC golf course for this restaurant is not the menu in the restaurant! In fact the menu in the restaurant is quite expensive - just as an example the guacamole order online is $10 and in the restaurant it's $18 and it goes from there. We have eaten there many times I've been in the valley over 40 years and we've always been willing to pay their prices, but this was really almost unfair. We were hot and tired. It was almost noon. We stayed for lunch but I'm not sure we would've come if we had seen the prices that were on the menu online. It's expensive for two people to eat out for lunch at most places in Scottsdale but this was unfortunate, but I can say the food was delicious and we have no complaints about the food except for the peanuts in the guacamole probably should be pomegranate. But it did taste good. Live and learn!

Krissy H.

Yelp
Great Sunday breakfast. I have to put it out there the Toro Benedict was amazing, so was the avocado avocado toast. We sat outside with amazing views great atmosphere and service as well. I was worth the 45 min drive we really enjoyed it.

Madelynn F.

Yelp
I saw a video of the La Bamba And I had to come and try it! So i came for lunch on a Monday. I made reservations and we were seated immediately. For lunch, they were not too crowded. Beautiful view of the golf course and we sat near a window. I stared with Hawaiian mai tai to drink. Our server, Sergio S, was very attentive and helpful with the menu. We started with the fried rice which was delicious! Carnitas, shrimp, chicken, and chorizo in the rice. I don't eat seafood, so I had them put the shrimp on the side. We had the Churrasco torta with fries, and the club sandwich with a side salad. Both were good. The La Bamba did not disappoint! It was a great experience and it was delicious! The fruit, sherbet, ice cream, the sauces all blended together well and was delicious. I definitely will be going back to try their dinner menu and get the La Bamba again

Suleyma A.

Yelp
The drinks are fun and delicious. Their dessert, " bomba" is a must! Our waiter was attentive and friendly

M M.

Yelp
Ambiance-5 Food-2 Service-3 We sat outside for lunch. Beautiful view. We shared 2 rolls and the truffle fries which were cold. For the price I expect piping hot food. We did receive a replacement order that was hot. The rolls were ok but I've had better sushi at sushi brokers.

Kristy K.

Yelp
Service was amazing - the waiter was super attentive and made great recommendations for the meal. The corn empanadas, angry tuna roll and chifa style fried rice were probably my favorites! I also had the spicy passion fruit mojito which was nicely balanced between sweet and sour and spicy (very subtle). The Brazilian Picanha Steak and Chocoflan (dessert) was probably the most disappointing. The chocoflan was very dense and not very good compared to the food we had until that point. Our group stayed at the Fairmont so we just took the shuttle. Also, after your meal ends you can just ask someone to call the shuttle for you, it's around a 5-10 minute shuttle ride.

Kassi G.

Yelp
Talk about STUNNING food. This was the best meal I will probably eat all year. It's a great location for groups. Great service and such a beautiful area. We had the fried calamari, empanadas, and sushi. EVERYTHING was delicious. This place is no joke.

Brianna C.

Yelp
This place is a MUST! First and foremost the service is impeccable with just as impressive food to match. The complimentary bread with mozzarella cheese has officially been added to my last supper menu! It's so cheesy and yummy then paired with a slightly spicy salsa - it's perfection. The tuna tacos & surf and turf were also delicious. I of course visited the restaurant for the unique dessert - La Bomba and it did not disappoint!! Sooooo many different flavors packed in a bowl made of chocolate splattered across the dinner table (on top of very clean and sanitary plastic of course)! This was truly a memorable dining experience and I recommend this to everyone!!

Jessica P.

Yelp
Worst wait staff ever we had our waitress walk away without taking someones order and forget the drinks twice. The food came out wrong and she was inattentive throughout. The apps were better our entrees disappointed. Skip the ceviche get the calamari and enjoy the free bread at the beginning. Not much else to say here would not recommend. They even charge for soda refills ...

Cindy L.

Yelp
April is a great month to enjoy having lunch or dinner. You really can't go wrong here, I always seem to order the same thing. I can't go wrong ordering the scallops and the pork belly. I adore everyone that works there we always have such an amazing time. Tonight was special when they brought us out the chocolate bomb, what a presentation. I love love loved all of it. But make sure when you're ordering it you stand away from the table because the chocolate and other things in the bowl go everywhere! Three months ago...Toro Latin Usually I end my reviews with I WOULD go back or I WOULD recommend but this time it will be the beginning of my review. The FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE! Shrimp ceviche is to die for. There was so many decisions but I ended up choosing the scallops and pork belly, I think those were the best that I've ever had anywhere. We also shared the big ribeye with street corn, and we had the Brazilian meat. We even ordered a dessert. Hunter the hostess, is AMAZING! Tim the mixologist made the best Passion fruit mules. Hanna our amazing waitress was attentive, fun and Very professional. I unfortunately didn't get the name of the young lady that dropped off our shrimp ceviche, she was wonderful. Fernando (chef) where did he get his training? Nicole, spoke with her on the phone and she was a delight.

Yelp
The staff, the ambiance and the food were all fantastic! We sat outside because the weather was beautiful, but I would have been happy sitting inside because the decor was fabulous. We got the papas fritas and calamari to start, both fantastic... the papas fritas had a good portion size. I had two rolls for my meal which had great flavor and very filling. There is free parking out front. It's located right on the golf course.

Yelp
A friend recently took me here for my birthday celebration lunch! Being GF, I appreciated all their attention to making sushi rolls that I could enjoy freely! We had the Angry Tuna Roll, the Acevichado Roll, and the Surf and Turf Roll. All were amazing and large! The flavors of each roll are layered and presented in a way that you get an exciting experience with every bite you take. The rolls are substantial and they are beautifully served on a bed of intermingled sauces with palm fronds and flowers. Truly a beautiful presentation. For cocktails we had Matsuri Margaritas and Rising Sun Paloma Spritzes. The margaritas were spicy and flavorful while the spritzes were lighter and very refreshing. But the best part....was dessert! For dessert, my friend requested a La Bomba. It is an experience all in itself! The dessert, a chocolate shell filled with scoops of ice cream and sorbet, with added pistachios, fresh berries and edible flowers was as fun to receive as it was to eat! They bring it to your table (after laying wax paper on your table surface) and smash it on your table. Then you just pick pieces and scoop up all the goodness it contains. I highly recommend!

Yelp
So happy to return to Toro! I sat outdoors on the patio overlooking the golf course! I really enjoyed a very freshly prepared lunch there. Tuna Tatzaki salad. Very pleasant place to enjoy a bite to eat!

Yelp
An enjoyable dining experience. The food was delicious, service was spot on and the view overlooking the Stadium course was awesome as the sun went down. You have to try The Bomba for dessert.

Yelp
You can't see the sunset from here. It really wasn't anything special. Service was not special. Super pricy. It's a Latin restaurant with an Asian infusion and totally not our vibe. Will not return.

Yelp
I recently ate at Toro twice in a small span of time. The first time it was an amazing Friday afternoon on the patio... I didn't grab pics of that time, but the view was pretty, the cocktails were awesome, and the food was pretty good! We then ate a second time the very next Friday... we ate there and then headed to the Christmas festivities over at the princess! My husband loved the fried rice, but unfortunately I did not get a pic. I opted for 2 apps: the scallops which I loved and the Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was just ok in my opinion, but I'm also not a huge Mac and cheese fan, but I always try to be for some reason! I definitely recommend sitting on the patio and grabbing some cocktails at Toro!
