Torre del Saracino

"From the coast road you take a series of hairpin bends down to Marina di Equa, the beach at Vico, where you will see this old fortified tower standing just a few metres from the sea. In the tower itself, with music playing in the background, guests can savour an aperitif accompanied by an extraordinary selection of imaginative antipasti that offer an introduction to the excellent cuisine that awaits. From here, you move into one of two dining elegant dining rooms decorated in vintage 1970s style which look out at Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples – the setting for a meal that will linger long in the memory. Gennaro Esposito is one of the best chefs in Campania, creating beautifully presented dishes of meat and fish (often in the same dish) that are not only delicious but also full of the colour and vitality of his region." - Michelin Inspector

The best culinary experience I have ever had. We did the 6 course tasting with the wine tasting. Start to finish, but I could not have been more impressed.

What makes this Michelin restaurant truly special is the personal touch. We had lunch there once and really enjoyed everything, but casually mentioned that we’d love to experience a meal inspired by the Amalfi Coast. The next time we came back, they surprised us with a completely custom menu — not a single dish was from the regular one. Every course was incredibly delicious, and we absolutely loved it! What also makes this place unique is its location — a medieval tower right by the sea, which creates a truly unforgettable experience. At the same time, everything is designed in a modern and tasteful way, striking a perfect balance between history and elegance. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for the outstanding service and unforgettable atmosphere. Wishing you all the best on your journey toward that third star — you truly deserve it!

Wonderful setting. The staff are very professional and friendly, without pretentiousness. The food is local, precise, not heavy, and mostly seafood and vegetable-based which is our preference for fine dining. The menu progression over the 8 courses is excellent. The two michelin stars are well deserved.

Unlike many tasting menus today, Torre del Saracino was a vibrant, new, and exciting experience. The passion and connection to the local land and sea can be experienced from the moment you walk in the door. The service is incredible, as diners experience pre meal bites and cocktails in the historic tower before being led downstairs into the dining room which boasts incredible views of the beach and sea. Not only is this one of the best bites I had in the region but clearly also a great value in comparison to other Michelin starred meals we experienced throughout the country and in general.

I rarely come back to an already visited restaurant, but Torre del Saracino is an exception. The place is amazing, just in front of the sea, with excellent view of Naples. The service is incredibly kind, perfect. The food is super. This time we took 8 plates decided by the chef. They were all delicious, starting with oysters and finishing with lamb, it was an sensiorial experience for taste and eyes. Definetely a place where to come back always with pleasure.

The restaurant has two star Michelin. It’s offering 6, 8, and 12 courses tasting menu. We went with 8 courses. The food was creative, beautiful and tasty, mostly seafood as it was our preferences. The staff were very professional and welcoming. We felt very comfortable and spent a great night on their patio that was facing the Mediterranean Sea.

An exquisite cultural, not only culinary experience. The service is incredible, they offer the tour of the kitchen and the cellar (so many wine bottles!), antipasti as you immerse yourself in the Neapoletan Gulf view, the main course inside, all of best quality. I guess the bill is very affordable for what you get.

Google
Such an extraordinary culinary experience. We had a great time tasting a 8 course menu prepared by the chef to the perfection. Every bit of the menu was a perfect combination of carefully chosen noble local ingredients. The service is up to the 2 star notation and every effort is made to make you feel special and well served. Thank you.

Yelp
I will simply never have a better dining experience. Even the walk from Vico Equense down to Torre del Saracino exuded two star Michelin. Greeted at the entrance of this historic stone tower on the shores of the Gulf of Naples by no less than four impeccably courteous staff members, we knew our evening was off to a good start. We began the dinner outside, starting off with cocktails (excellently prepared by the restaurant's sommelier) and a group of small plates. The setting is magic and no amount of explanation will top the experience itself. You can either choose the tower or the patio for the start of the meal, and if nice outside, I would highly recommend the outdoor setting just for the sheer views themselves. The small plates were brought to our table with our drinks in timely coordination. I will fail to remember the exact components of each plate, but they were all excellent. We then moved inside with our cocktails and were given a tour of the wine cellar as we ordered a bottle of white. The cellar itself is breathtaking and I could have spent hours browsing the vast selection of wines. We then moved to the main dining area where our group of four had a long rectangular table in the heart of the restaurant. We selected the five course tasing menu and I have to be honest, I simply don't think I could have stomached the 10 course, as even the five courses had almost eight or nine different components, all quite filling. I will not go through each as they are pictured, but highlights certainly included the risotto and the fish soup with 10 (12?) different varieties of noodles. Perhaps the most exciting part was getting a little peek within the chef's working space. The staff took such good care of us and we truly didn't want to leave; I think we spent a total of three hours from start to finish. The dessert just kept coming and it truly was impossible to say no despite how full we felt. I would recommend Torre del Saracino to anyone traveling to Vico Equense. I can only imagine what a three star Michelin would entail if this was just two stars. Beautifully done.

Yelp
Funny story. My wife booked this place with 0 clue what it was because we were both running a bit ragged from our trip. Naturally, after a full day spent in Naples and Pompei, we were both sweaty and in hiking attire when we arrived and saw, with jaws on the floor, that this was a 2 star Michelin. As you would expect from a 2 star Michelin, service and food were great. I would say, we had just been to Lido 84, so it became an inevitable comparison between the two( we aren't rich, we just like food and usually budget for one ultra splurge meal a year). I'd say, technically, every dish was well executed. Very tasty and with remarkable cookery and finesse. There was nothing overwhelming and frankly even the desserts were so delicious. I would say, in comparison with Lido, this menu was more conventional as fine dining goes. Lido was much weirder in what they served. Whether one is better than the other will likely depend on the customer and what they are looking for. For example, I thought Lido on the whole was better/more interesting, but the best one or two dishes between the two meals was here. Just stunning in simplicity. Also service was top notch as you would expect. Honestly, If you told me this was a three Michelin star restaurant I wouldn't have been surprised in the least. If anyone is reading this and wants any one particular piece of advice, it is don't come in a $17 shirt you bought at Costco. Nevertheless, they were very gracious even in those circumstances.

Yelp
We took a more strenuous path to get to the restaurant by choosing the google map walking route from Vico Equense town center, through a flight of 200 + uneven and steep stone steps down to the ocean front. While we were walking down those stone steps, we were doubting and questioning each other "nicely" whether that was the right path as the houses on both sides of the steps were pretty beaten-up; but thanks to Google map and gods know it is a complete different world at the end of that path. The ocean started to come to view in front of our eyes and Ristorante Torre Dal Saracino is standing right there next by the ocean. To us, it was liked an oasis; and for me, I felt so relieveeeeeed. We received a heartfelt welcome from the restaurant manager and he led us to the lobby area for a welcome drink and fed us Amuse Bouche untill we were half full. When our table was ready, he took us to meet Chef Gennaro Esposito and his team at the kitchen. Chef Gennaro Esposito was very sincere and friendly; we were so looking forward for his dishes. We tried the 8 courses tasting menu and we loved it so much. My two favorite ones were the Shrimp in its own sauce with a Black Rice Biscuit and the Cuttlefish and its ink with Parsley Pesto and Lemon Confit. The seafood dishes tasted insanely good. Chef Gennaro Esposito was highly capable of expressing each seafood ingredient (i.e. shrimp, cuttlefish, turbot) to the fullest. The wine (recommended by the staff) was also very matching with the food. It is highly recommended to take a taxi to and from the restaurant as the roads around the area were so dark at night. We were so honored to have the restaurant took us back to our hotel on chef's car. It was an amazing and wonderful dining experience. Thank God we came to Ristorante Torre Dal Saracino! Thank you Chef Gennaro Esposito and his team!

Yelp
This was the hotel on the last leg of our tour of Italy. It wasn't a bad place but there's no elevators and the rooms are numberous staircases below the lobby. Rooms were nice but small and had a nice view from lobby/room. The help were great and helpful. Breakfasts are mainly pastries not much in the way of hot breakfasts. But was located in a nice area with an awesome restaurant below the hotel. A hidden gem. Went there a few nights for dinner and have a great homemade house wine. Overall was a nice experience to end our 3 week trip of Italy. Book like 5-6 months ahead for better deals.

Yelp
Just had lunch at this restaurant. Beautiful location. Food was good. When they brought a basket of fish to the table and we chose two of them, I was surprised when I got the bill and it was 180 euro for just the fish. Shame on me for not asking the price for the fish. I asked about the price when we got the bill and they said that was the price for the two fish
