Best Falafel at the French Quarter! Highly recommend for vegetarians. It is hard to find vegetarian food options at the French Quarter, but this place turned out to be a pleasant surprise! Falafel and the platters were simply amazing. The decor of the place is dated and had a musty odor to it, which did give us a pause, but ultimately it paid off. Service could be slow, which was surprising as we were the only guests in! Still took may be 20-30 mins for the food to arrive. Our server was very nice and sweet though and the chef came out to say Hello, which was nice too.

We happened upon this place while on our way to Dat Dogs next block over, and we’re so glad we did! A little hole in the wall, it seems to be frequented more by locals than tourists. The menu is diverse - there’s the standard gyros, falafel, and shawarma dishes but there are also Egyptian specialities like Koshari (National dish of Egypt). The food took a while to come out (around 20-30 min) but it was freshly prepared and the portions were generous. The service staff (Stephanie and others) are also some of the friendliest we’ve encountered in NOLA overall. I would definitely recommend for those who are looking for something a little different from the standard seafood and Bourbon street madness.

Absolutely the best Mediterranean food I have ever had. Everything we had was perfect. The falafel, tzatziki and babaganoush were made to perfection. The babaganoush had a deep smokey flavor that was out of this world. The Lebanese tea was so good that when I tasted it I was instantly transported to an ancient world that has long passed (not exaggerating). If you are a fan of Mediterranean food and are in New Orleans or anywhere near New Orleans Torshi is a must.

As a Middle Eastern I highly enjoyed the authentic flavours of this restaurant. We ordered the eggplant stew and the lamb gyro, they both came with a side of hummus and a salad. Everything was so flavoursome and fresh. The drinks they sell there are so yummy too! I highly recommend the lemon and mint drink on a hot New Orleans day! YUM! Great service and authentic food! Thank you and best of luck !

WOW! I cannot praise this restaurant enough! The owner and staff were so friendly and the food was outstanding. Our toddler was being difficult and they were so kind to get our silverware for us, bring us our food and even gave him a bottle of water when he was coughing on some parsley he swallowed. Our meal was was a simple dish yet it was freshly made and perfectly seasoned. My husband was planning on getting another meal in the hall but couldn't stop eating mine because it was so good. I wish I lived here so I could visit more. Thank you all so much for a wonderful meal!

Mango and ginger juice... Fresh and fantastic! Lamb swarma with salad and fries and pita...delish! Service on point...the owner came over to greet us and see how the food was. Our first server Jordan even entertained the 2 year old. I enjoyed everything. I will definitely be back.

Happened upon this place by accident, while in search for something a bit different, with some green veg in it and we loved it! Had falafel platter for dinner last night and came back for fuul for breakfast this morning! Food is freshly prepared, with great care and love, the flavours are clean, fresh and delicious. The staff are lovely and friendly. We will be back again while in New Orleans. Good luck with the new business ventures, hope Texas loves you as much as NOLA

Everything on the menu sounded wonderful. Saw several items on this menu that other Mediterranean restaurants have stopped serving over time. We chose a fantastic hummus and pita served with a pepper sauce! Kofta gyro was flavorful although could have used another kofta to balance the ratio; but I'm a kofta fan. Lamb and beef gyro was fanominal and stuffed with meat. Very fresh flavors! Service from Thera was great and the chef in the back as well. Very nice people. Will return when we come back thru this way.
