"This torta shop has a cheeky name (a Mexican abuelita would not approve), but that’s part of the charm. This Paramount shop makes unapologetically huge tortas, so big they’re comical. And the sandwiches’ names lean into absurdity, too. There’s La Mamalona (expletive beep) that manages to fit grilled hot dogs, chorizo, ham, milanesa, and steak into a modest toasted telera roll. This meatpalooza spills out the sides and hangs into the bread by a thread of melted cheese, forcing you to eat this sitting down (and maybe wearing a bib.) Is it a bit much? Sure, but it’s delicious, especially with their spicy curitdo and punchy salsa roja." - sylvio martins

"If you have a sweet Mexican abuelita, saying this spot’s full name in front of her might earn you a smack on the head (spoiler alert: the second word is slang for “badss”). But we find the Paramount shop’s name and other cheeky menu items to be part of its unique charm. This spot’s carefree attitude is also seen in its tortas, which are unapologetically huge, stuffed to the brim, and absolutely delicious. For example, their massive La Mamalona (censor beep*) torta is so big that you might have to split it with Abuelita herself. After the soft telera roll is toasted, the sandwich is stuffed with fresh carne asada, breaded steak, sliced ham, spicy chorizo, hotdogs, avocado, queso fresco, and jalapenos. If you’re interested in a more sweet/savory combo, the La Muy Muy torta (rated PG) has crispy breaded steak, ham, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and its key ingredient: pineapple. We understand that pineapple on pizza is a touchy subject, but just trust us and give this tasty torta a try during your next lunchtime adventure." - Sylvio Martins

"Inspired by Mexico City-style tortas, a Mexican-American food truck riffs on classic chilango sandwiches, super-sized, and bound by queso fundido that pulls apart, beautifully, for maximum Instagram food porn." - Farley Elliott, Bill Esparza

It's okay, lady at front was kinda rude. Looked super pissed off like she hated life. Food is just okay. prices are crazy expensive for a torta. I was expecting crazy big portions and a better value.was definitely disappointed 😞

Small place, but very tasty food, the tortas are delicious, their hard birria tacos and consomé was delicious. The one thing that people will have a problem with is minimal to no parking.

Good food. They don't sell agua frescas though, which is a shame. And be advised that they only accept cash or Zelle.

These tortas are huge, they easily feed two people. La DF torta was really good. The birria consome was alright. My only takeaway is that they have a real fly problem in there and the items in the salsa bar were not fresh, the radishes and cucumbers looked like they had been there for a while. I would order to go. The dine-in experience was not good.

Humongous tortas and Insta worthy if that what you are looking for. If it’s not about the unique experience and you want the best torta around, I’m not sure this is the place. I tried the Chingona and it was the size of my head with everything but the kitchen sink in it. Some highlights were the bread, ham, sausage and chorizo. Unfortunately, some of the other items tasted dry, like they sat around a while. I also tried a few tacos de asada and Al pastor and again tasted a little dry. The flavors were there, so I think time of day has a lot to do with it. Salsa bar was nice and the green was the best of three. Lemons, cucumbers, radishes, onions and cilantro was plentiful. I was too full to try some of the other tortas, but heard similar for the milanesa and asada tortas. If I wasn’t far away, I would like to give them another try. I guess we will have to wait and see about the updated rating :)

7/24/22 the place is small with no parking to speak of and CASH ONLY. The servings are large for what they charge. The tortes are packed with everything but leaves you wondering where’s the beef. If you get a bit of beef it has no flavor. The jalapeños really do a trick in adding flavor to the torta. The Buritto does come with plenty of meat but you wish it didn’t as it is tasteless and seems more as it has been boiled. Not worth the $30 for two items. Skip this place and spend your $ at a place that focus on flavor.

The food was ok. The female taking my order today was very rude. She was bothered to be at work. If you don't like to give good customer service, stay home. Hire nice people.

Had awesome tacos and Tortas. I believe it's under new ownership. They had bomb salsas before. But recently that I've gone over some of the salsas are bubbly and are no good anymore. Have brought it to their attention and the removed it right away
