"Tortas Washmobile is starting an ongoing weekly pop-up at Novo Brazil Brewing Company’s Lane Avenue taproom in San Diego. The pop-up is run by chef Pedro Fuentes, offering famous Mexican sandwiches made with flour-dusted pambazo rolls filled with marinated and grilled brisket, panela cheese, tomato, and guacamole. Wow! Hole in the wall kind of place perfect for Grab and GO. Awesome flavors. Sets the bar really high for Tortas. Whenever I visit Tijuana and want a Torta, this is my #1 Go-To spot when I want a quick Torta. No space to Dine-In unfortunately.

Everything that was said about this place was true. Unlike other hyped spots. This humble and tasty establishment makes tortas like we make at home. Many people are used to the sandwich style tortas that are around, with cold cuts. But this no nonsense non apologetic torta is a Real Deal Carne Asada Mexican sammich!! You want cold cuts.....go to Subway. You want authentic homemade....go to the Car Wash.......
