Upon arrival we were greeted immediately. You sit down and a waitress/server comes to your table to give you menu and take your order. We ordered the small Caesar salad, 6 buffalo wings and half supreme pie. All came out fast and was all delicious. We will definitely come back when we come back to Austin. FYI..we took couple bites before pic of wings and salad.

Just had an incredible food experience at Toss Pizzeria in Austin, TX! 🍕 If you’re craving that perfect New York-style pizza with a touch of Texas charm, this is your spot. Their slogan, “New York Style with a Texas Smile,” couldn’t be more accurate! The crust was perfectly crispy, the toppings were fresh, and the flavors were absolutely on point. Whether you’re a pizza purist or like to mix it up, Toss has something for everyone. Highly recommend checking this place out next time you’re in Austin — your taste buds will thank you! 🔥 also the Terrys Blacks BBQ pizza it is outstanding, watering brisket awesome, also the one of the best chicken wings in Austin Tx With AM amazing ranch sauce for dipping, 1000000 percent recommends, Service was awesome 💯 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕

Google
We got the Quattro Formaggi pizza with jalapeños, and it was amazing—easily the best thing we ordered.😋 The buffalo chicken pizza, though, was a letdown - had to send it back. Cheese garlic bread was perfect. Def coming back for the Quattro Formaggi.

Let me start by saying I’m not a big pizza person. It’s not something I eat regularly but the New York style pizza at Toss blows me away. TBH literally everything on the menu is amazing and it’s become my favorite, and most frequented, restaurant in Austin. My favorites are the brisket pizza(I know sounds weird but is delicious with thick slices of brisket and pickles on it) the crispy brussel sprout salad with chicken in toss sauce on top, the chile lime chicken wings, and the frozen margarita with jalapeño tequila. On top of the amazing food, all of the staff is top notch and super friendly. I’ve never had bad service here. Special shout out to the bartender Austin and the GM Tyler. Both of those guys go above and beyond for everyone. Do yourself a favor and give this place a shot, bring some friends and family, get several items and share everything family style. You won’t regret it.

Google
The Brussel sprouts were really great. Best thing on the menu. The pizza is bad. Undercooked and not even very hot. The cooks in the kitchen want you to leave. So they push the pizza out fast as they can. Never going back.

Toss Pizza on South First Street is absolutely amazing! The serving sizes are huge, and the wings are out of this world. One of my favorite things is their flavor of the month—it’s always something unique and exciting! My all-time favorite was the Crab Rangoon pizza. It sounded a little unusual at first, but it turned out to be the best pizza I’ve ever had! I’m really hoping they bring it back someday. If you’re looking for delicious food with creative flavors, this is the place to go!

I would say that it can be a little crammed for dining in when the place is busy. The service was a little slow and we had to ask for things a second time, but it wasn't anything egregious. I think they may have been short on floor staff. The food was pretty good. We came to a concensus that the pizza could use a little more sauce, but the flavors were great and the crust is delicious. If you get a salad, it's definitely a meal. I'm from the Midwest and the portion size of the salad puts us to shame. If you don't eat it all, you'll definitely have lunch for tomorrow.

Google
we were in the area and craving pizza so the closest place got the nod which was toss. our experience was pretty average, tables were messy and our service was slow. , including completely forgetting bringing us a drink. the saving grace was that the wings and pizza we got were very good. not sure i understand the half of a pizza gimmick, i think a smaller sized pizza has sort of handled that up to this point.

Yelp
This is probably our go-to dine-in pizza place now. If you just do a head to head comparison of pizza to pizza, I think Home Slice still beats Toss, but it's close, and Toss has a lot of extras that put them over the edge. Not least of which is actually being able to find a parking place and a table. There's some charm to eating your pizza standing on the corner of So-Co watching dogs and tech-bros go by, but it's not what you want every time. So... Toss. Lots of toppings. Really good pizza. I just stick with garlic and peperoni, but there are SO many options, and the crust and sauce are just right. Lovely ambiance. It's got like an indoor/outdoor almost beer garden thing going on. At least so far it's not usually too busy. A healthy crowd, but it's stays fairly chill. The service is a little meh, but it's not bad, it's just kind of a spread out restaurant, and they seem maybe a little understaffed? No one's been rude, just not very attentive. Again, compare to Home Slice... at least there is service? For me, the champion, is s'mores. I can't fathom why more places don't have s'mores as a desert. It's fast for them to make. it's delicious. It's something that's kind of a hassle to make a home. Feels like an easy win. I'm not a HUGE pizza fan, so if I'm going to be hyped about going to a pizza place for dinner (which I'd liked to be, because my family loves pizza) than having those little extras on the menu is a big plus. My one complaint, and it's pretty major, but I didn't dock a star for it, is some of the seating. OMG... the most uncomfortable stools you have ever sat on in your whole life. I truly almost didn't finish my meal my tailbone hurt so bad. I don't know what in the world they were thinking with those stools. There a lot of different seating options, so that's why I didn't dock a star, just avoid sitting on the bar stools like the plague. They are so awful.

Yelp
Multiple vegan options, that is the best part about this place. We had vegan calzone, so heavy so stuffed and was really basic but good! If you're looking for a pizza place where you won't go wrong with your pizza, your basic feel good pizza with basic pizza joint vibes- this is the place. Check it out.. The service can be slow tho!

Rebecca G.

Yelp
Love this spot; the pizza is closer to Jersey style (can say as an officially Jerseyan) and reminds me of home. The sauce is great and the cheese to pepperoni ratio is just right. Also always comes super fast! Toss is probably why my pants don't fit right now

Courtney A.

Yelp
My wife found this place before we were headed to a concert. They had gluten free pizzas. Waitress was friendly. You seat yourself. In the back there was space to hang out and let the kids roam a bit. We ordered a white pizza with pepperoni sausage and basil. It was really good. Kinda wish we ordered another one. We will def come back again!

Tristin L.

Yelp
Went in for a couple of late night slices, this place was close to our hotel. And open late, they had a cool inside bar, but a totally awesome outdoor area my kiddo could run around and not distract anyone. Dog friendly, good draft beer selection. The women's bathroom looked clean but had black mold growing on the ceiling. Staff was super nice and friendly. I loved our create your own slice option.

Sheena A.

Yelp
The portion sizes are huge and filling. The service was friendly and quick. We ordered the warm Brussels sprouts, garlic bread, cheese pizza, hot honey farmhouse, bbq chicken wings, and south 1st supreme. We enjoyed the outdoor area with our dog and got him a funky chicken. Love that they have a dog menu! With the salad, the sprouts were not very seasoned but the beets, walnuts, and goat cheese were tasty. I was surprised how much we liked the garlic bread and marinara dip. It was so simple but delicious!

Lee R.

Yelp
Ordered the half veggie pie and a 6 piece garlic parm wings. 2 ranch 1 garlic butter. The pizza is pretty freaking tasty! Added some pepperoni on it highly recommend, the half size was still pretty big and left my girlfriend and I pretty full! Now to the wings. The cook on them is lovely, great crisp! However the flavor of the garlic parm is pretty much oil with a hint of garlic. One of my drums bones was cracked in the middle and stabbed my gf in the gums leaving a very obvious puncture wound in her mouth, yall gotta double check for broken bones, swallowed it can be very hazardous and potentially get someone in the hospital. I do believe that was an accident, but none the less, toss check your stuff! This is the third time they forgot our ranch when ubering through Uber eats so id save the dollar and just use the one you have at home. All in all tasty pizza but certainly plenty room for improvement!

Eric B.

Yelp
Had a great buffalo chicken pizza as well as pepporoni pizza too, and a salad to boot. We came to sample and have leftovers--a pizza half is pretty big! My wife really liked the buffalo chicken...most likely it was the blue cheese on it that set it apart from most...but the sause was tangy too. Good crust--chewy at the right level--and a fair beer selection. Easy to watch a football game here--it was raining and cold so we sat inside but they have a pretty covered area outside I want to try next time. Atmosphere, vibe, and service compliment good pizza and craft beer. We'll be back.

Addie A.

Yelp
We love you TOSS. These fussy New Yorkers love your pizza and wedge salad. But last night we were so surprised. We ordered a half pie with extra cheese as usual but this time it came out with large dollops of mozzarella on a pizza that didn't have cheese it seemed. We'll be back but won't ask for extra cheese.

Dave C.

Yelp
In town for business and was craving pizza. Toss did not disappoint. I ordered a slice of the meat lovers and wings in the hot toss sauce. The slice was perfect. Great crust and high grade toppings and the right amount of sauce. The wings were crispy and just the right amount of heat. The service was spot on and the server chatted me up a bit which was welcome as a stranger from out of town. Next time I am in town I will definitely make a stop here.

Kate S.

Yelp
Gross. Yuck. Why? All in all it was horrible. Out of town and you hope a pizza place can be good. It's easy you assume bc how can you screw up pizza? I would say ask Toss.

A.S. V.

Yelp
It's hard to find vegan pizza with an option for crust that isn't based on white flour, and even harder to find some that's good, and we did with Toss. They do it perfectly, and gained customers for as long as they're around. It's even good as re-heated leftovers!

Leann O.

Yelp
This is probably my favorite pizza place in Texas. I love coming here and bring out of town friends and family here. The brisket pizza is always a must. We made the mistake of ordering a half pizza. I would Just order a whole one because your going to end up eating it anyways. We also had the stuffed pretzels which were good. I'm just not a huge fan of stuff like that. We also had the chicken wings they are good too. I think ours could have been a little more crispy but they still tasted great.

Shia N.

Yelp
Got a cauliflower roasted veggie pizza. The crust was pretty good although everything else was sub par. Picking up a to go order/service on a Friday night was pretty easy although I can see how parking would be a nightmare. Pretty chill ambiance typical ona. Pizza joint with a bar. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Not a place I plan on going to again.

Billy R.

Yelp
What a great place to watch a Longhorn game. We sat at the bar and had an amazing experience with the service from our bartenders. We ordered the stuffed pretzel with queso for dipping, and it didn't disappoint. The ambiance is very open and fun with garage doors all around and heaters on the outside for when it's cold. 10-10 will go back to watch a game for sure.

Pete X.

Yelp
Not good! I ordered here because of great reviews I've seen about how this is one of the top places in Austin for pizza-uh, no!!! Absolutely terrible and I don't recommend this Pizza Hut-level monstrosity to anyone!!!

Antonio G.

Yelp
Went here about a week ago ordered pizza, wings, and fries.. first of all this is not the first time that I get a pizza from these guys and the crust is soft and soggy. I have had more misses here than wins. Fries were soggy too. Wings were OK. This is the last time I will go there as I've said to myself plenty of times that I would give Toss another chance, but I've have been getting too many misses lately . Sad thing is I live really close but would rather make the trip to a homeslice or a Via 313!!!!

Madeline C.

Yelp
Really delicious gluten free pizza. I do have a bit of an issue with the size. I paid $20 for a pizza that was about the size of my hand

Raquel C.

Yelp
The pizza is New York style. I appreciate the thin and crisp crust. The full size pizza is enough for 3-4 people. We got the honey hot farmhouse, which was only on their menu at this location. It didn't have enough Mike's hot honey and was a little bit greasy where the toppings were falling off, but otherwise still really good. Loved the outside seating area, definitely dog friendly. Plenty of craft beer and domestic available. Downfall of eating outside is the immense amount of flies. They definitely need some water bags for the flies or maybe some type of cover to put over the pizza. It has a small cornhole set and an outside tv. Nice pizza place worth trying.

Michael R.

Yelp
Bottom line - really good thin crust pizza. The salad was good too. The ambiance was fine, you know, it's a pizza place. Ok, parking sucked but in that part of the city it's no surprise. Go for the pizza.

sarah m.

Yelp
Tasty! The warm Brussel sprout salad was delicious! I loved the beets in it, nice touch! We ordered 1/2 & 1/2 of the 20" and got pepperoni for the kids and spinach artichoke for the adults. I loved the creamed spinach in the pizza - never had that before and it made for a very creamy and flavorful sauce. Highly recommend!

Christina H.

Yelp
Toss serves New York styled pizza, Texan style that either comes in a slice, half or full pie. The half serves 4 hearty slices, which is an easy share (or not). I ordered the Spinach Artichoke pizza, which was a half pie topped with romano cream sauce, chicken, spinach, artichoke, and mozzarella (also typically served with bacon, but I'm particular about bacon). Surprisingly, the Spinach Artichoke pizza was not as creamy or savory as expected. The chicken was dry, and you definitely need to add a dash of salt to this. We also ordered 12 wings, half in the Sambal Glaze and the other half in Sesame. The wings were crispy, but needed more sauce. I would advice to ask for a side of both sauces to slather on top. My personal favorite of the two was the Sambal Glaze, as this was sweet & spicy.

Daniel S.

Yelp
I often order pepperoni pizza to go. I've found there's very little quality consistency over time in dough, sauce, nor the pepperoni. Tonight's lg pizza will be my last at Toss S.1st....the crust was thin, sauce was messy, and I've had better pepperoni there before.

Carlos S.

Yelp
Was overcharged and pointed it out. They adjusted the food charge, but simply added it back in tip. I pointed it out again, and they argued with me about it. Walked out, never coming back. Get the itemized bill before you pay or select tip amount.

Sophie B.

Yelp
Great staff, great pizza, love coming here by myself to chomp down a half pie fjjdjdjdjdjdjd

Jason P.

Yelp
Fantastic pizza. No complaints. I like mine extra crispy. They got Electric Jellyfish on Draft too. Cool neighborhood Pizza joint and a great place to take a date.

Justin N.

Yelp
Stopped by on a whim after playing at Home Depot. Overall I would come back. It has a decent indoor and outdoor space and even a place where kids can run around and play. The food was good. The pizza dough was very good imo. It was flavorful and fresh. The gluten free pizza was also very good. Probably one of the best I have tasted. The fries were pretty standard. Nothing too special. The wings were lacking in flavor. We got the lemon pepper and garlic parm. They were ok, but I would not order them again. They were missing something. Maybe wore flavor in the meat. Or maybe better spices. But they were not worth getting again. Staff was great and very accommodating to kids and big parties. So overall service was pleasant. Prices were a bit high for what you get. Don't get me wrong, they are large portions and the pizzas are huge. But for the cost, step up the quality and delivery on some of the items.

Stephen K.

Yelp
Wanted pizza but not a whole pie, was searching through yelp found Toss. Ok I'll bite after looking at the menu was able to get a 1/2 pie for a decent price. What I wasn't expecting was such large slices. Have to say was a nice surprise pizza was done to perfection. Even had pepper flakes & parmesan cheese packs included. Excellent service delivery was through Door-dash 26 minutes time to order to delivery.

Kate P.

Yelp
We moved to TX in September and have been searching for a good place to get pizza. We found it. We have done take out twice here. This pizza reheats well. The service is fast. Would recommend for a tasty pie!!

Joe G.

Yelp
Open space to a nice outdoor area. Had a couple tvs inside with sports on. Service was rather poor as waiter seemed very distracted. Our pizza came before our drinks? We had the half pepperoni pizza which was plenty for 2, but rather ordinary, as was my wife's margarita. The local IPA I tried was good.

Jala C.

Yelp
Great food and people! Recommend the Old Fashioned drink they barrel age. Delicious! Frozen margaritas on point and pretty strong. You don't realize it until you are almost done. Pizza is delicious and the bones (crust end) is soft and chewy with a little crunch. Service was excellent and friendly. Even the other customers were happy to give recommendations of what they love. We will be back and I hear their wings are great too. Thank you Toss for a wonderful date night.

Robert A.

Yelp
The food was tasty enough, but it was Ice Cold by the time the food was delivered. We had to microwave the desserts just to make them palatable. The stuffed pretzel was just a stuffed pizza crust made in the shape of a pretzel. It would have been sooooo much better if it was an actual pretzel-style cook. I wouldn't mind giving the place a second chance as a dine in.. but we will never order for delivery again.

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
I've been to Toss a few times now and I have to say, I think this place is super underrated. With names like Home Slice in the area, I understand that people may forget to check out other pizza places, but if you haven't tried Toss yet, you're MISSING OUT. I've been for dinner before but the breakfast pizza has my heart. The crust is the perfect balance of crispy and soft, the topping options are endless, and there's a $15 mimosa deal (a full bottle of champagne) to wash it all down. Also, if you're a fan of ranch on pizza, their homemade ranch is unmatched. Not only is their food good, but I am also always so impressed with the service. One time when we were in for brunch, there was also a large group that had rented out the entire outside seating area. I'm sure the team felt swamped but we couldn't even tell because we still felt like they were paying us more than enough attention. Regardless, our waitress continued to apologize for the "slower" service and even discounted some of our meal. COVID Precautions: All employees and guests are required to wear masks when not seated. Seating is limited and hand sanitizer is provided.

Dante H.

Yelp
Service was great and they even changed the tv the nba game i wanted to watch. The farmhouse pie I ordered was tasty and would definitely come back to try the wings next time I'm in town.

Ky C.

Yelp
Went for some pizza and monday night football, we arrived and there were two spots right behind the bar, with a good view of the game. The bartender took our orders and came up to our table to check in and was very polite and we didn't find ourselves wondering if we would be served. The pizza itself was very good, i don't normally notice the sauce before toppings, but the tomato sauce was delicious. You can order individual custom slices, or half a pizza they have curated and of course a whole as well. I got a half of the South 1st Supreme ($17) which could feed two people. The toppings were generous and my boyfriend got the Texas BBQ Brisket, while I was a huge fan of getting a bunch of toppings he wasn't stoked- but enjoyed the pizza. Overall, the pizza wasn't mind blowing but was still good- 7/10 with points to the tomato sauce, but the service was helpful and speedy, the parking lot is not great for big cars, but the indoor and outdoor seating was in a cute space and i wouldn't not go again.

Joshua M.

Yelp
Overall score 3.0 out of 5 Pizza had good flavor, and for the size was great value. Kind of greasy, and the dough was lackluster. Pretty strong flop Was not impressed by the undercarriage Great location, atmosphere was nice and you can also watch sports, and very nice staff.

Cindy P.

Yelp
The ambiance is cozy, the food is great, and best of all they're dog-friendly. They even have a dog menu. Love this place!

Edith G.

Yelp
Toss is one of my regular go to places for Sunday brunch. I really debated between 3 or 4 stars... We go there because It is easy, you can have large parties, and multiple credit cards. No thrills, no frills, no crowds. Oh and they sell Mimosas, by the bottle, so you don't have to rely on your server comming by regularly Before I went back to vegan I used to order the Gringo Pie without bacon, and I recomend the Gringo. I liked a queso drizzle, but order it on the side if you don't want your egg overcooked... now I order a make your own with the vegan cheese. Weirdly, on multiple occasions we have sent back a pie, because of one reason or another, and when they bring back the replacement, it is missing ingredients. Like, the Gringo Pie has come back without pico de gallo twice. Although, something similar happened to my friend, on her og order (which she did not return), her pizza was missing ingredients yeaterday... Tip: if you order sides, like ranch or spicy toss sauce, order them with your order, otherwise it will take a while for you to get those items...

Ed L.

Yelp
Great service, great food and service was excellent. Pizza was amazing and wings were really good which is a rarity in my opinion.

Bryana R.

Yelp
BEST pizza! The full size is HUGE and is a lot of food that can feed at least 3-5. They also have a large selection of beer/alcohol.

Holmes O.

Yelp
I can't compliment Cam enough for giving us a wonderful experience. Food was great, drinks great. Service even better. Highly recommend Toss for anyone in the neighborhood. See you guys soon.

Melissa R.

Yelp
First time eating at this pizza place and SO glad we did. We weren't going to go originally since online it said they were out of vegan cheese, but luckily we called and were told that they did in fact have it in stock. So onward we went! Their menu is full of so many options, like typically sports bar fare and not just pizza. Not many vegan options though, so we ordered a build your own half pie which starts at $10.00, vegan tax on cheese is an extra $2.00, jalapeños and pineapple toppings were $1.50 each. We were thankful they didn't require us to buy a full sized pie to get the vegan cheese option. Slices are H U G E. We only ate half of the half, lol. Needed a to-go box for the last two slices. Pizza came out piping hot! We had to let it sit a minute to cool off. The crust was perfect in my opinion. Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. Their marinara sauce was flavorful without being loaded with sugar like some other questionable pizza places. My husband thinks I'm a freak for my toppings choice but he ate it without complaint. Ha! They have a great local draft beer selection. We got the best....Electric jellyfish. Their patio outside looked inviting with misters but we were boiling hot from being outside earlier and needed that AC. Their carryout order table service was continuously busy on a Saturday afternoon during our visit. We are already planning our next trip here on a Tuesday for their happy hour starting at 5pm. Half off appetizers and $4 drafts. That's half off jellyfish ya'll! See ya there:)

Cameron N.

Yelp
I was told to come for the wings, so I came for the wings! The staff was kind. The wings slapped. I got the garlic parm and another flavor that I cannot remember which paired with the ranch and fries well! Super easy parking and seating too.

Ashleigh J.

Yelp
I don't think there was one thing bad about this place! Parking was easy, plenty of seating, a server grabbed our drinks quickly & gave suggestions as requested. Checked on us multiple times and was very friendly! They were kind enough to do a pizza with half vegan cheese and half regular cheese so that I could share with my friends and not have to get my own pizza. Most places won't do that so I was very appreciative that they did! The pizza was really large and had a ton of toppings and tasted so good! We ordered waffle fries and a salad, both which were perfect portions to split with 3 people and tasted delicious. There are TVs throughout, corn hole, nice outdoor seating for groups or just on your own. We will be back, very soon! We want to check out the brunch menu next !

Daniel M.

Yelp
Great pizza, really enjoyed the appetizers and the pizzas were just what I was looking for. Service was amazing. Our server Jazmine was super attentive and very kind server. She made the Birthday Woman feel extra special. Will go back just for the service from Jazmine and great atmosphere!

Shelby R.

Yelp
Beat pizza in austin hands down. 20in for less than $30? You cannot beat this! Pizzas are filled with toppings and have a nice crispy bottom.

Frank C.

Yelp
Great Large Pepperoni Pizza. Good parking space as well. I like the ambiance. Service was quick

Daniel K.

Yelp
The family and I had an amazing dinner tonight at Toss Pizzeria. The waiter, Cameron, was very attentive and made us feel welcomed on our first trip. He explained how everything worked and helped us select the best pizzas for our crew of six. The four kids had a blast with all of the entertainment in the outside seating area. It's usually difficult with our bunch, but tonight was a welcomed exception. Thank you, Toss, and thank you, Cameron!!

Truc N.

Yelp
Dog and family friendly pub in Austin. The place was cute and had outdoor games options. Our server was good. We ordered half pepperoni and half supreme pizza, wings, fries and a Caesar salad. The pizza was ok. The wings were good. Nice and crispy. Overall food ok, good service.
