"This National City spot caters to Filipino street food meaning almost everything is skewered. A few dollars can fetch hot dogs, pork, chicken, beef, quail eggs, sesame balls, and more. The food extends into Filipino comfort food like lugaw or arroz caldo, a chicken rice porridge seasoned with garlic, ginger, and fish sauce, available only on Fridays and Saturdays." - Darlene Horn, Paolo Bicchieri

The food is great, and the sauces are excellent, but I believe traditional sauces would be even better.

Google
The lumpia, chicken sticks, and pork&shrimp sticks were very delicious!

It’s my 2nd time here. It’s a chill place to grab food and great to hang out with few friends. You order the various Filipino food in the store and heat them up at the grills outside. It’s nice and cool even in the summer time. Definitely visit this place for authentic Filipino food.

Google
Oh, wow! The Best authentic street food style from the Philippines. I don't miss home anymore. Got it all here! I recommend trying them all: grilled or isaw of pork intestines, pork ears, shrimp and pork siomai, fish balls, chicken BBQ with sticky plain rice. And delivery can beat time. Great for TV time grub! We got iced coffee bobba drink from freezer of seafood city. The best here are the pork ears and intestines. Lol

Google
First time here....and honestly, not bad at all. They serve rice as well 🤣 you will need rice together with all the ihaw ihaw you will get. They have all kinds of meat to ihaw. Lobster ball, squid ball, kikiam, hotdog, paa ng manok, atay, pork bbq, isaw ng manok, isaw ng baboy..... there is dine in the patio where you also grill the meat. The only downside is smelling like charcoal afterwards but its ok. The food was satisfying at least...

Google
So many things to choose from. It really feels like home. The sauces are great and the place is clean. The only thing I didn't like as much was the fish balls. They were a little too fancy for me. Lol

Google
Prices went up since few years and before covid. Before I remember they're only 1 dollar but now it's $1.95 per stick if you go to the place itself if it's delivery via ubereats or doordash is $2.30. Everything's good plus the staff are very friendly. I feel very welcomed.

Google
Best place to eat filipino street foods They have the best foods and the best employees very friendly They have a good ambience in it, like eating in a house. Went here two times now still a great service would come again and again

Yelp
My husband was craving for Crispy Pata. Thanks to you Yelp for helping us to find one, Toto's Grill. This is the first time we went at Toto's. Ordered Crispy Pata (Hock) Fried marinated milkfish (Bangus) and Taho (soybean curd) with sago (boba). The place is clean. The lady who helped us (Rose) is super nice and very polite. They have different kinds of Philippine street food. The food we ordered are all yummy delicious. I hope they will maintain the Crispy Pata serving (huge) and the cleanliness. We will definitely come back and try the street food. By the way we ordered take out.

Yelp
We've been coming here for years, a stick was $1 back then. Brought our relatives from LA and from the Philippines who's just visiting. I know prices it's been up but if we're craving for something, it's okay ones in a while to experience what we used to enjoy and loved eating way back in the Philippines minus the prices of course. We were there around 5PM and all customers were to go so we have the entire grill for us. Customer service was great. Meat choices were great as usual. Only four star since the rice was mushy. Please check before serving so customers can enjoy their dining experience.

Yelp
My Filipino friend introduced us to this local establishment that serves up Filipino BBQ skewers, and I had a great experience! We went here around 2:30pm for a late lunch and it was still bustling. When you enter, you choose the skewers you want, which costs around $1.85-2.00 depending on what you want, and you also have the option to order some entrees but we focused primarily on the skewers, their specialty. I personally loved the pork and chicken skewers as you can't go wrong with that, but the ones I found surprisingly good were the pig ears and fish cake. Once you get the skewers, they will give you some vinegar and sweet sauce to dip. Bring the skewers outside and place them in the charcoal grill to heat it up and maybe make it more char as you wish. 8 skewers was more than enough for a meal, costing about $16 which was well worth the price. Cash is recommended.

Yelp
Been here twice in the last month and I just have to say it hits every time! This will immediately remind you of the street vendors in the Philippines. I am born and raised here in SD and am so glad that there a place like this that can make my mom feel at home. It is such a simple process, come in pick what you want and warm it up on the grill in the back. I love that they set it up this way it really adds to the experience. Everything taste authentic- it's the real deal! Plenty of parking, easy to find, friendly staff, and the vibe is great with the music selection and plenty of inside and outside seating. I highly suggest this place to anyone who is down to try some good Filipino street food. I will mention that the lumpiang gulay is bomb!! Super crunchy and fresh. You have to try one! I can on and on- but the point is- this place is a hit! Go check them out!

Yelp
Toto's Grill is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Filipino skewers and street food in San Diego. What sets this place apart is the option to grill your own food outside, adding a fun and interactive element to your dining experience. The skewers are packed with flavor, and the variety of options ensures there's something for everyone. Whether you're a Filipino food aficionado or just looking to try something new, Toto's Grill won't disappoint. Don't miss out on this flavorful gem!

Evangelina C.

Yelp
My 10yo old niece and I wanted to try something different and found Toto's grill...we liked it! Definitely some interesting choices that we weren't brave enough to try (chicken feet, intestines and more) but we liked the bbq chicken, bbq pork, spring rolls and sesame balls. My niece enjoyed heating up her own food on the little grills and we enjoyed our lunch on the outside patio. Everyone was very friendly and we decided we'll be back

Daniel P.

Yelp
Wife & Family like it, and that's good enough for me! Had a great experience overall.. This place you have to cook your own food on a grill outside. So be prepared to do some cooking. They have great chicken feet!

Kristinne B.

Yelp
Absolutely enjoyed my visit! This place has a pleasant ambiance, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The extensive selection of skewers adds a delightful touch to the dining experience. Highly recommend!

Fatima H.

Yelp
When you're in San Diego and craving Filipino street food this is the place to hit up. They always have the basic choices. The staff is usually friendly. The sago drink however hasn't been tasting the same for some reason, but no biggie, I don't come here for that anyways.

Joe Q.

Yelp
I'm a little disappointed I didn't know of this place earlier. I've seen locations like this in LA, but it's nice to know we have one local. Process is quick and easy. Choose what you want from a bar, buy it, get your sauces like garlic vinegar then go reheat it on charcoal grills to eat. It's easy to get too many. Even though there's sooo many options, it's easy to try them all by just getting one stick each. There's some safe, common ones like chicken bbq, pork bbq, fish ball, lobster ball. Then you can explore more common Filipino street food options like bulaklak (ruffled pork fat), pork intestine, beef intestine, chicken feet, pig ears etc. Don't get carried away at the grill, you can see by my photos I may have burned a few. I enjoyed all of it. It's been over 18 years since I really got food like this in the Philippines, but I think this is what it tasted like.

Bernadette S.

Yelp
Yummy! my boo has been wanting to try this for some time because he misses the street food in the Philippines. If you're craving butts, feet, intestines and all of that other stuff, this is your place! For me personally, my stomach cannot handle all of that so I just stuck with the basic pork and chicken sticks, which were so good. The marinade on them was perfect. I also got the buchi balls and lumpiang gulay, all very good as well. He sampled one of each that they offered and he was a happy guy, and loved all the sauces that came with it. Each stick was priced at $1.50 and with the amount given, i felt that was a pretty good deal! our first time here and basically everything is already cooked, you pick out what you want, and they will reheat it on the grill for you. You can also order rice. They also had a sign for other things such as Taho and fried fish. I got the taho and it was a yummy treat as well. The staff member told us that after 5pm, you can grill it yourself out in the back. They werent having people sit inside, at least when we were there, all the chairs were up on the tables so the only option was outdoor. we enjoyed it and will definitely be coming back when the craving hits!

Krypton C.

Yelp
Food: Authentic Filipino street food! And very delicious! When you walk in, there are different sized packages for you to choose, based on how many skewers you are buying. You fill up the tray or box with various meats - from pork and chicken bbq to unique butts, intestines, quail eggs, feet, liver, etc. At the cashier, you can get them heated on the grill and pick up sauces - seasoned vinegar mainly. The food is lightly seasoned, allowing for the flavors of the different cuts to shine. A must try if you desire Filipino culture experiences! Service: Staff is very nice, guiding you on how to order and what each item on the stick were. They can grill the food for you as well. The wait may be long but there's many people to cater to.they provide various sauces to dip in, all good in their own way. Atmosphere: Before the pandemic, this was a go to spot for after drinking haha. It was a fun and different experience to grill your own Filipino street food on fresh coals. During the pandemic, we just eat in their patio area, but still having a great time.

Kenneth Peter L.

Yelp
We've been coming here for awhile now, and it's pretty consistent. It boasts of a traditional isawan and gives me all the feels of being back in the Philippines. It's a little pricey but really, it's a luxury and satisfies a specific craving, so I can't really complain. If you know, you know, and this place is definitely a vibe.

Silvia R.

Yelp
Grab a tray, put your skewers of choice, order some rice and that's all you need to have a great night. This food is delicious! We didn't get to try it all but definitely will return to finish off the menu!

Vannie C.

Yelp
We came here when the place first opened (there were already a few people lined up). The skewers are $1.50 each. The skewers don't seem to be fresh, they were still cold even when the store first opened. I assume they probably just refrigerate the leftover skewers from the previous night and serve to customers in the morning? The process goes like this: You pick the skewers you want, pay, and then go to the back and grill them. The concept is pretty awesome as I've never experienced anything like this. My only concern is the amount of flies at this location. There were a lot of flies hovering over the skewers (not sure what management can do to solve this problem) but the flies were landing on the skewers. If you just grab the skewers underneath the ones the flies land on then it's not too bad I suppose lol.. the skewers were not bad I would recommend the chicken, pork and hotdog skewer. I also like the sauces they give you for the skewers.

Dacu M.

Yelp
Came here very late right about closing time. The indoor set up was already put away, the outdoor grill was no longer available. The person that helped was very kind and still accommodate us. The food was good and met our expectations for an isawan. We wish we came at an earlier time to enjoy the food and get the full experience as we had an out of towner with us and because we ended up having to stand outside while enjoying our food

Raphael L.

Yelp
My first time and not coming back. I'm a little disappointed about this place. We went Friday after sunset. So you basically go in and order your food and grill it yourself. The food selection was okey and all tasted pretty blend. I would not recommend getting the pork blood. I almost puke. They only have two dipping sauce option also. And I wish they have more grilling station. Instead of putting it next to each other. Like 10 people standing trying to grill their food. It gets pretty over crowded. The outside patio was pretty dirty also. The Tables are not properly clean and they only have one trash bin and it was full. The ambience was a bit dark and chairs are too noisy. So many mosquitos outside also.

Emil H.

Yelp
No menu. Everything was messy. Unique bbq experience but i can tell they dont take care of the place. Not going back...

Melissa R.

Yelp
Do not like the customer service. Sometimes they heat up the food for you when you do take out sometimes they don't want to. The dinning area still is messy. And they just cover the mess with a divider. I mean, why not just clean it up and make more room for people to eat? Some of us do not like to be outside because its cold. I bring my guests from out of town here because this is the only Pinoy restaurant with the turo-turo, street food style menu. Oh they got expensive too. Need to find another option for my guests.

Anthony N.

Yelp
Overpriced food that you have to cook yourself. Cashier literally just uses a calculator to add the price of your skewers together, so if you order a lot, good luck adding it mentally.. The receipt does not include details of the order, so the final price may not be accurate.

Zhigen L.

Yelp
It's my 2nd time here. It's a chill place to grab food and great to hang out with few friends. You order the various Filipino food in the store and heat them up at the grills outside. It's nice and cool even in the summer time. Definitely visit this place for authentic Filipino food.

Yelp
Toto's grill takes me back. I've been here many times before Covid, and once late in the pandemic. Nothing much has changed aside from them offering to cook the meat right at check out and having gloves and tongs for grabbing your skewers. My go-tos are isaw, kwek kwek and pork BBQ. They occasionally have chicken isaw which is classic, but it isn't always available. Not sure if it's hard to source or I've also heard that the county health inspection doesn't really allow for it, which is unfortunate cos it's so good! The pork isaw is a good similar option though. I also always get rice and balut when I'm here because might as well make it extra homey. There's never been a time where I went and they didn't have balut. Pretty much everything is $1 each which makes it so easy to just pile up a bunch of skewers into your container. During the pandemic, they offered at the register to cook it for you, which we asked for since we got it to go. Their charcoal grills were always outdoors so it seemed generally safe. Not sure how often they attend to the grills, but back then someone would be outside every so often to make sure the coals are still hot and all and you'd have to wait for a grill to free up or share with other groups. Obviously that's probably not really an option during covid. Overall, we only waited a few mins for them to finish cooking out skewers! Highly recommend if you want filipino street food.

Hana W.

Yelp
had a really good experience here, the food is authentic and the workers are nice and helpful. chill ambiance, you choose which skewers you want and reheat them on the grills outside. they have a large selection of skewers, each is $1.85 if you're paying with card and $1.75 with cash, with a few exceptions for certain items. there's lots of indoor and outdoor seating. would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the area!

Grace D.

Yelp
Good food especially when your craving Filipino street foods Highly recommended this place.

Joe D.

Yelp
I went here in 07/28/2023 it was pretty late so we can't bbq our self, I bought 5 pig ears , 2 pigs blood, 2 siomai 2 eggs, and 10 isaw(chicken intestine). The cook went to bbq our food but when I got home I am missing 7 isaw ( chicken intestines) really disappointed lost almost $15 off food. Money is not the issue I drove 1hour and 20 mins away to buy isaw. Pls check your workers and be honest.

Kareen-Grace T.

Yelp
Convenience is what I think about with Toto's Grill. Every edible is on a stick for $1.25 each. Took home 16 sticks; chicken/beef bbq, beef/chicken/pork intestines, lobster balls and pig ears. Also purchased the melon drink, yum. There were strips of melon inside that gave it extra flavor. The lady running the counter was friendly and sweet. She explained the process of chosing a container, then picking the meats and paying for everything. Afterwards, you go to another table to choose dipping sauces (6 selections, 2 of them for the fishballs). Overall, food quality was good, place was clean, and service was easy and friendly. A definite must try. Will be stopping by this place again. Tip: chicken intestine is pretty gamey, an "acquired tatse," if you ask me.

Ramona G.

Yelp
I love this place! Unlike any other Filipino food joint in the SD area! I came here with my friend and her family last weekend after watching a Tagalog movie at Plaza Bonita. It's actually not what I expected, I thought it would just be a turo-turo place (point-point cafeteria-style kinda like Grill City inside the Seafood City stores) it's way different. You pick your skewers from the buffet which is around $1.25 a stick. You pick from BBQ chicken and pork, Adidas (chicken feet), pork blood, intestines, fish balls etc. My faves were the BBQ pork and fish balls. They're all pre-cooked but you have the option of re-heating them on the grills outside which is really fun! Even though I'm Filipino, I was born and raised in the US so I never got to try inihaw (grilled street food). It was cool to get to experience a similar version. They also have balut for $2 but unfortunately they were already out when I came last Saturday. They also sell Melon and Pandan Gulaman juice for only $1 each! There's indoor and outdoor seating. Everything is just chill and casual which I like! I wish they stay open for a long time! I would love to take my family here the next time they visit San Diego! Too bad I didn't see any cute and single Pinoy boys this time :/ Darn! If you know any or you are one... LMK! ha ha

Lena T.

Yelp
First time trying Filipino street food and it was good. Price was inexpensive and like the idea of outside grilling to heat up your meat sticks. Boyfriend enjoyed the food and the sauce that comes with the order.

Jessica D.

Yelp
What I ordered: chicken bbq, pork bbq, fish ball, lobster ball, chicken intenstine, kwek kwek Taste: the intenstine was probably one of my favorite and the pork bbq and fish ball. They have a grill outside to heat up the skewers

Michelle V.

Yelp
After trying Dollar Hits in LA, I was hungry for more! These meat skewers are perfect for drinking and having casual conversation. Their melon juice is worth a try. It was a bit watered down and you can't grab it on your own, but it does pair well with the food. You simply grab your plate and go outside to grill. While I was in the middle of grilling though, they wanted to change my grill and the process took longer than expected. This shop has plenty of seating space and vibrant music. On a weekend night, the place was decently packed but not too full. Families, couples, and lone eaters weaved in and out. There were Filipino pop music videos playing on the wall. I liked - intestines - chicken feet - pork ears I didn't like - just the veggie egg roll. Not enough filling, too much breading and it wasn't crispy but soggy. I really enjoyed the sauces here (especially the chunks of onion)! It's clearly a community place and I wish we had one in the Bay Area.

Sherry H.

Yelp
Poor service. I went in the lady wasn't even helpful And then she said something like is it my 1st time I said no I've been here a few? Times but it's like she doesn't want to assist me. I got 4 barbecue sticks and I asked them to REHEAT it and I saw the guy heating it up on the grill-he forgot about and eventually burnt it and tried to cover it up with barbecue sauce. I told the lady it's burnt and then she said it's not acting like i'm exaggerating and then she had the nerve to call me "Ate". That is a filipino word for someone who is older than you. First of all she doesn't even know if i'm filipino we're speaking english, I am of mixed race and second Of all she looks older than me or around my age and she was heavy set. I think she said that trying to pretend that she's being respectful but she's actually disrespectful trying to be a smart ass clown. What type of business disrespects customers? I asked her if she's the owner she says she's only an employee. I told her never mind I was going to take it and then She realized it was really burnt and then she took it back. I told her never mind they only cooked 1 extra 1 and it looked fine. It wasn't burnt like the other ones but I ended up with a couple burnt BBQ sticks And the last one not burnt. Who wants to eat burnt food and who wants to argue with the staff that it's not burnt food? I do not recommend this place at all I would go to another filipino restaurant or eatery. Besides that the prices went up they're not a dollar anymore each stick. Two thumbs down.

jo w.

Yelp
$1 bbq sticks! They have everything from bbq chicken to pork intestine and everything in between. You walk into the restaurant and get a takeout box or takeout tray depending on how many sticks you are getting. Then grab what you want and pay. They have no labels, but are so nice when you ask what each one is. They have sauces on another table, I recommend the spicy cucumber sauce!

Princess P.

Yelp
I really miss eating filipino street foods, and I am so happy when I found out Toto's grill is open for take out and outdoor dining. I like the way they do the social distancing in their location, they have sanitizers available for customers and they have sanitizing stuff (spray and tissues) ready to use if you will dine in.

Dung N.

Yelp
My old boss has been mentioned this eatery when we used to work together, so we finally got to dine here this past weekend. There were so many different skewer options available, but only a few that I wanted to try. Each of us grabbed a tray and made our selection. After paying, you bring you items outside to grill. It was fun to heat it up, and I think most of the offereings were already cooked. I also got the melon juice, which was pretty good, but a bit too sweet for me. As for the skewers, I tried the lobster roll, pork, and chicken ones- they were pretty yummy! I liked the spicy cucumber and spicy vinegar sauces they had available. Service was friendly and we were checked up on once to see if everything was okay. It gets chilly sitting outside, but luckily they have heat lamps. As we were leaving, a lot more people started coming in. Seems like a popular spot for some late night snacking- they close at 11 or 12:30am (depending on the night)!

Ed E.

Yelp
***During COVID-19 Visit*** REALLY good food!!! I ordered the chicken, sausage and fishball sticks and all were good! I'll stick to the chicken BBQ for now since they make them like my late father did. The food is already cooked, but you can use one of the grills that have outside to warm them up. They also serve drinks and rice to go with your food. FYI, the BBQ sticks are $1.95 each now. You go in, grab a tray or to go container, pick whatever you want, go to the register and pay. It's as easy as that. Being here reminded me of growing up in the Philippines and smelling the GREAT aroma of Pinoy BBQ on the streets at night time! Service is really good too and I'll for sure be back. Thank you!

Dianne A.

Yelp
Street food done right! Of course this isn't close to what we have back home in the PI, but it's good enough that if you close your eyes, you might think that you are back! Price is awesome and the selection is great (along with their sauces). It can get pretty rough in here if you go on a busy night, so come on a weekday instead of the weekends. My favorites are the: 1) pork bbq 2) kikyam 3) lobster balls I love kwek-kwek but theirs is meh :-/ The fishball is alright, too! It's summer and summer nights trigger my cravings for a piece of home and this is my go-to spot for a taste of home :-)

Joni S.

Yelp
They've upped their pricing by 25%! Ha, from $1.00 to $1.25 a stick. Still very good and worth it. Things to note though. Depending on who is maintaining the charcoal grills, food may taste more like lighter fluid than offals. Also, I've notice that their sticks seem to be skimping a bit compared to prior visits. But first timers, here's what you do. Walk in, grab either a to-go box for less than 20 sticks or a aluminum tray for 20+ sticks. Fill up your desired container with sticks of innards, pig ears, snout, deep fried quail eggs, and the like. Or safer items: corn, chicken, beef, and a hot dog. Pay and grab some dipping sauces. Hopefully you're there when the charcoal grills are out and you heat up your food and enjoy. It's that easy! If you're looking for a gourmet meal, then you're at the wrong place. This is street food at a safe location. Parking lot can get packed. But there's plenty of street parking as well. Never used the restrooms. Outdoor seating that is dog friendly. Remember: Food adventures are out there. So eat 'em up!

Marivic M.

Yelp
When craving for Filipino street skewers, this is the place to visit during the afternoon. I'll be sad if no dugo (blood) but pork liver makes up for it and everything else like isaw (pork or beef intestines) and bulaklak (pork chicharron). Thank you so much for remaining open. Don't forget to get it grilled before you leave. Otherwise, thank goodness for airfryers and toaster ovens! And the vinegar sauce with onions is the best to dip in! This is always great for friend and family gatherings, too!

Mary N.

Yelp
Definitely a fun experience! We came here for some late night snacks - it was our first visit so we just grabbed a little bit of everything. A sure sign that it was a good place was the group ahead of us (of about 6 people) bought almost 100 skewers! The folks behind the counter are friendly and happy to describe the skewers, make recommendations, and even offer balut! I love their set up where you pay and grill the skewers yourself in their patio.

Roxine S.

Yelp
Terrible pricey tasting food. It's cold as if it came out from the refrigerator and put on display. Not fully cooked either!

Jocy C.

Yelp
Toto's Grill is a Filipino BBQ Skewer place located in National City area of San Diego. My significant other stopped by to pick up a party tray of skewers. Lots of variety to select from (including pork bbq, chicken bbq, fish balls, shrimp balls, corn, sesame balls, egg rolls, quail eggs, liver, gizzards, chicken feet, etc.)! They also have BALUT!! Significant other ordered 4 of them to bring home!! Tip 1: Enter on Grove Street Tip 2: Opened Thurs, Fri, Sat, and Sun; Closed on Mon, Tues, and Wed Support Small Businesses!! ENJOY!!

Chesca D.

Yelp
The employees were nice and food was good, the intestines tasted off based on my mom's opinion. I didn't know they had taho, it was pretty good but it wasn't my mom and sister's favorite

Julie D.

Yelp
This place is legit. I spent yesterday feasting on Filipino food with my family then followed that up by going bowling. After a couple hours, we were all hungry again. My brother suggested this place because he comes here often. I was game. Got there a couple hours before closing time. It wasn't at all crowded which was surprising. The system is basically you get a tray, pick whatever bbq you want, pay for it then they heat it up for you. I learned this the hard way. I decided to try the pork bbq because that mofo looked delicious while in line. It was so fucking good. And it was already hot so I just kept going. Ate a whole stick while in line. The chicharon bulaklak was on point. And the dips were holy smokes. That vinegar was life. Last night's crew were awesome. They were very nice and personable. I'm glad they were there when we went because they closed up shop as soon as we left.

Louise E.

Yelp
Some of the item was old like the chicken intestine smell bad when I take a bite it taste funny and they didn't clean the intestines good . Their bbq is burn already so when you try to heat it up at the charcoal grill it will burn more , I love Filipino street food but this store was not recommended you just gonna waste your money .

Yelp
Toto's grill is located in a small plaza with plenty of parking. They have a variety of Filipino street foods that you can try from the classic pork bbq to betamax. Almost every food item is $1.50. They also have Cantaloupe Juice and Gulaman juice which is delicious! I wish they had it when I came. The food comes with 4 sauces and you can ask them to heat up your food.

Yelp
* Plenty of parking. * Got confused where it is. FYI It is the plaza before the plaza where Navy Federal CU is. * Servers not as friendly as Tambayan's. * They heat up the dollar sticks, which is good. * Dollar sticks are actually more than a dollar. Cheaper if you pay with cash. * Plenty of tables and chairs. Food: * Lobster ball - 3 out of 5 - Tambayan has better. * Fish ball - 5 out of 5 - close to what you get in the homeland; equally good as Tambayan * Pork BBQ - 5 out of 5 - equally good as Tambayan * Kikiam - 4.5 out of 5 - better than Tambayan * Kwek kwek - never liked it anyway so can't take it against them

Yelp
I have been eyeing this place for sometime now. When I mentioned it to my parents they just said it was eh! Which ok the food wasn't like hot damn! But I like the whole concept of picking any precooked BBQ sticks with so many choices and for only $1. Even rice is a dollar. So you grab a styrofoam Togo box and make your choices, and if you know you're picking 20 or more then you get to have a tin foil tray. From what I can recall the choices where: chicken, beef, pork, liver, chicharon bulaklak, kwek kwek (quail eggs), chicken feet, pork intestine, beef intestine, blood (I think it was pork blood), bochi bochi, lobster ball, fish ball, Filipino hotdog, corn on the cob and egg roll. Everything was grilled or fried prior and put in skewers. After you purchase it along with your drinks you then choose your condiments. Choices were ketchup, schiaracha, fish ball sauce, cucumber, spicy cucumber, vinegar and spicy vinegar. From here you go outside and they have pre lit grills were you could warm up your food. I highly recommend this because I didn't reheat the fish ball on the grill and when I first took a bite regretted it. I ended up grilling the rest. Only thing missing is alcohol. If they served beer it will be on and poppin! And oh the owner who is from Croatia was awesome! One of the best customer service. Took photos. Brought us plates and knife for the cake. He was so hands on, very accommodating. Made the experience even better!

Yelp
Fun experience when I was in town. It felt like I was back in Philippines cooking and eating with good company. If going as a group call ahead. The food is perfect if you know how to cook/grill if not you'll be disappointed with Found out there is one built in my city so I'll be going to that one more.

Yelp
We just don't have anything like this in Seattle... and we definitely like this place! All the Filipino street food in one place! So affordable as well. The place is nice and clean and very convenient. You just pick up what you like and pay. You can take it to go, or eat it in their restaurant, or eat it outside on their patio seating. Which has a grill by the way so you can alway heat up all your yummy food! We'll miss this place.

Yelp
TOTO'S! For the past 12+ years I have been in San Diego, I've given up on finding anything else than pork or chicken bbq until I found Toto's. It brings back the nostalgia of being 9 or 10 years old in the Philippines, doing that Asian squat and fanning coals to cook bbq. I love KBBQ, Japanese BBQ and even a good ole American backyard BBQ but nothing compares to Filipino bbq. I brought my friends here and introduced them to all the different skewers. I showed them how to grill them and was able to share more of my Filipino side than what I usually get to do. It's nice being able to have a conversation in Tagalog and feeling like I'm back home. For someone who can't afford to fly home every two years, Toto's is my home away from home. There is a huge variety for selection. They have the usual fish balls, chicken feet, intestines, pork rinds, pork and chicken marinade skewers but they also have battered quail eggs and regular eggs. They have taho and balut. All the skewers are $1.25 and I think the gulaman and cantaloupe drinks are $2.50 (?). Basically it's the most affordable BBQ ever. KBBQ will run you about $40-45 for two people. I was able to feed myself and my girlfriend for $20. If you are looking to experience Filipino street food or simply feel nostalgic about your life in the Philippines, Toto's is the place!
