"Open for two decades, Toucheh was a stalwart Italian restaurant for Westmount. But an ownership switch has mixed things up, and its current Iranian owners have started incorporating dishes of their own. Together, it makes a menu unlike any other: Penne and scallopini appear alongside chelo-mahicheh (lamb shank), dolmeh (stuffed peppers), and mirza qasemi (smoked and baked eggplant)." - JP Karwacki

One of the best Persian restaurants in Montreal! I tried the Bakhtiari and it was incredibly tasty, tender, and delicious 😋 the quality of the food really stood out. Please note that it’s bring your own wine which makes the experience even better. I’ve heard they also serve breakfast and Halim on weekends, which I’m excited to try next time. I’ll definitely will come back!

Food was great. Restaurant was busy so reservations are recommended. I ordered the lamb shank and it was very tender. Their lentil soup was also very flavorful. I tried a bite of my friend's salmon filet it was juicy and a decent sized cut.

The food is delicious. I appreciate the integration of Italian and Persian food. They are both extremely delicious menus! It was rather easy to get a table, although there were a reasonable amount of people. The owner is quite friendly. I like the location of the restaurant. It feels very peaceful!

Found this place online looking for BYOW restaurants for a date night, was not disappointed. Ordered the scallopini toucheh and grilled salmon, both meals were perfectly cooked and had unreal flavour. Portions were decent and the creme brule was also a good size. The chef takes pride in his work and it shows. Will come again

We chose this restaurant because we were looking for Persian cuisine and a BYOB option. Overall Recommendation: AVOID Food: We should have been skeptical from the start, as the restaurant advertises both Persian and Italian dishes. Given the number of excellent Persian restaurants in Montreal, Toucheh is definitely one to avoid—there are far better options available. The traditional Persian dishes we ordered were absolutely disappointing. Not only were they bland and lacking any flavor, but they also consisted of nothing more than rice and onions. Portion sizes were extremely small—primarily a cup of rice (clearly reheated in the microwave), half a tomato, and a pile of roasted onions. The meal included two tiny pieces of chicken and filet mignon, both hidden under the onions. The appetizers—a lentil soup and a salad—were also completely flavorless. Price: $50 for a microwaved cup of rice, half a tomato, and a pile of roasted onions—plus tip? Atmosphere: We had an early dinner, so the restaurant wasn’t too busy. The atmosphere was decent overall. However, Christmas music in March did not exactly set the mood. We even had to ask for it to be changed! Service: The service was okay, but since the restaurant was nearly empty, it’s hard to judge how they handle a full house.

First time in this neighborhood restaurant and I have to say, I was very pleased with the experience. This is not a large space but with its high ceilings, natural light, open concept kitchen and the jazzy soundtrack in the background it made for a very cozy atmosphere. The menu is straightforward and simple, the food was delicious, tasty and fresh, with a Persian cuisine influence. The service was courteous and efficient. Fairly priced which becomes something rare these days. If you're in Westmount and looking for a good, not pretentious restaurant, I strongly recommend Toucheh.

One of the best steaks and pastas I’ve ever had was at this restaurant.🤌 I usually can’t chew meat, but this steak was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth. The sauce on top and the garlic pasta paired with it had an amazing flavor. The soup and bread served as starters were also delicious, and their homemade tiramisu and crème brûlée—with a hint of orange—were absolutely top-notch. The portions are generous, easily enough for two people, and I really enjoyed the open, friendly atmosphere of the place. I highly recommend this restaurant!👌

Persian and Italian? I get why, but really? Perfect one over the other. Ok, it was a Monday night at 7 pm that we went to eat. There were a few, 4 to be exact, tables of customers, but the server, 1, could have been more attentive. We asked that a second bottle of wine be kept cold. Instead, she opened it. We were then forced to drink it. As for the food...it was tasty but the portions are small. I had the Joojeh Chicken Kebab. It was served with soup or salad, onions that hid the chicken, saffron rice and an undercooked grilled tomato. The chicken was tasty and well cooked, but there was hardly any chicken. Like I said, it was smothered in sauted onions to hide the lack of chicken. The rice was really good and the tiny salad was delicious. I wanted more. My partner had the lamb shank. He said it was good but not enough. In summary, for the price you pay ...the portions are tiny. Will we go back? Probably not. There are many other Persian restaurants that give bigger portions and are more economical.
