Toulouse Petit Review - Queen Anne - Seattle - The Infatuation

"The New Orleans-style creole food at Toulouse Petit is outstanding, especially if you stick with the usual suspects like BBQ shrimp with grits and/or seafood gumbo. Plus, the antique-ish dining room is an exciting space with a lot of activity, so it works for big celebrations like a birthday, anniversary, or finally paying off your mortgage." - Aimee Rizzo

Had a great time listening to the Crowe boys and Zack Fienburg! The venue was clean, staffed by friendly people, and clean. I'll definitely be planning some trips back before long.

Fun dance venue, black box theater with baroque touches here and there. Gothic brothel vibes. Would have been better if the music had been better. I'll definitely go again. It was fun to see the Boulets out and about.

We recently had the blessing of visiting Preservation Hall at Toulouse Theatre in New Orleans for our first live jazz experience, and it was truly divine! My wife and I were graced to witness a performance featuring the legendary Wendell Brunious, and it was nothing short of amazing! The intimate atmosphere of the venue allowed us to feel fully immersed in the music, with every note lifting our spirits. Wendell Brunious and the gifted band played with such passion and mastery, it was as if the music itself was anointed. Preservation Hall beautifully embodies the soul of New Orleans’ rich musical history while offering an authentic and profound experience. If you’re in town and wish to experience the finest live jazz, this sacred place is an absolute must. We will surely return!

My girlfriend and I came here during our first-ever visit to New Orleans in October 2024 to see the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. At the time, the actual Preservation Hall was still closed for remodeling, so the show was moved to the Toulouse Theatre. That was no problem though - we still very much enjoyed our experience with this theatre, which was a very cool spot, and the show was EXCELLENT. I used to watch them when they played at the Electric Forest music festival, so it was really cool to see them play in their hometown! Even got to talk to them for a bit after the show, and everyone was very nice. I'd come back and see another show here!

The new home to the Preservation Hall Jazz band. It's just a money making venture, seems like a tourist trap. The band comes on and plays about 5 songs in 40 mins. The keep asking for tips though the tickets aren't cheap. The audio was not good. I would suggest skipping the Preservation Hall Band and just going on the Steamboat Nanchez and seeing the jazz band on that boat. They were really good and entertaining

This venue was one of the best ones I visited in New Orleans. A beautiful building. Has a reception area with bar with steps up to the main room. The main room has a balcony overlooking the floor. Staff were great and helpful and all was clean and nice in the restrooms. It seems they have all sorts of different events on here so probably worth checking whats on before visiting.

We just happened by this little gem at the start of the French Quarter Music Festival and got the pleasure of a free show by Tuba Skinny! What a fun time listening to music, watching the swing dancers and enjoying a few drinks! So glad I was able to have this experience on my NOLA visit!!!!

Yelp
We went for the NPR Tiny Desk Contest. When you first walk into the place, there's a very cute bar area. A short walk up a few stairs and then you're in the theater area. The space is a nice size for an intimate experience with the performance. I didn't feel cramped in there and I didn't feel like it was too much space. It was comfortable and the setting/mood was very chill. I'd definitely return for more show!

Yelp
After a morning-afternoon of cycling from FQ to City Park (and around), I wanted a place to sit, enjoy a cool beverage, and talk or watch people. All of my wishes were granted. Jennifer was our bartender and poured good refreshing drinks, kept our watered topped off, and recommended the show tonight. Bought tickets while at the bar. Thanks for a lovely afternoon & I'm looking forward to the show tonight!

Yelp
This is a cute little stop on our way to Boubon. Stopped to get away from the heat and to use the restroom but ended up plotting out where we'd go next and grabbed a drink here. The decor is awesome, it's a sweet little gothic style theatre which I loved. Haunted Mansion vibes for sure, it would be cool to host a Halloween party here. Definitely a neat place to check out off close to Bourbon St.

Yelp
Local lady here, this is a Wonderful lil gem. Yesterday went last minute, and I was able to watch the end of a burlesque show. Also, since the show had only 20 minutes left, they gave me half off on my ticket, so cool. The house cocktail drink was just as the bartender described, smokey yum. Thos host was hilarious and I left with a much uplifting experience. I will be back yall.

Yelp
Came here for a late Friday night concert (Nick Shoulders). It's a small venue, but really well put together. We were greeted outside the front door to check for proof of vaccinations. Inside the doors, there are a couple tables and chairs, and the first bar. There are also small restrooms (two stalls). Then you get your tickets checked and head into the main theater space. They have a second bar in there, a mezzanine level (which was closed that night), and mostly an open and intimate space to enjoy the show. Everyone there was very friendly, and the bartenders were great! There was never really a line, and they kept everyone happy. It's a cute venue in the heart of the French Quarter, and it was great to see a show there. Parking in the area can be expensive, but if you use SpotHero or some other parking app, you can find the less expensive ones in the Quarter. If you're willing to walk a couple blocks, you'll definitely find more affordable spots.

Yelp
We came for late night drinks while karaoke was going on with a live band. Great time with great vibes. One of the bartenders did Killing in the Name and slayed.

Yelp
What a super cool venue. Another place on my list of little nooks around town that I hadn't heard of. My friend was back home visiting and invited me to a Tank and the Bangas concert here and I absolutely love them so I jumped at the opportunity. Upon arrival you walk into what appears to be a just a really cool bar, but the double doors open up to the larger event space. It's intimate without being cramped, and situated in a way where there's no bad view (it is standing room only). There was also another bar in the event space so you didn't have to leave from where the action was happening to get a refill. They also had a water station set up which I thought was really smart so you could grab a glass without having to wait during the show. The staff and bartenders were are all incredibly nice as well (Shoutout to Logan and the pineapple daiquiris he made us!). It's located in the Quarter, so the parking situation isn't ideal--if you can get dropped off, I would for sure recommend it. I lucked up and found a spot, but for a Sunday it was a lot harder than I feel like it should have been. The show itself was fantastic (I mean, duh. It's TATB), but a bad venue can easily turn your experience sour. The sound quality was great, the temperature inside was comfortable the entire time, restrooms easily accessible. No complaints. I'd for sure come to another show here.

Yelp
One of the great music venues in New Orleans. This is going to be a regular location for me to listen to local music. I love the bar and they have some seating which I like. Been to two shows here since they have opened, cant wait for the next one.

Yelp
I would have given 5 stars if the women's bathroom stalls had locks or latches. Hope that gets fixed soon.

Yelp
Always a fun time. This is not a tourist hole and a place that enjoys jazz music. The staff is always amazing
