Barnes & Noble re-opened. Some good restaurants. Randall's fits the bill for some grocery shopping (when you're not being budget-conscious).

Nice place with eye catching views

Google
This is a great area. Pretty easy access from the highway. Most of the stores are higher end but if that is what you are looking for its perfect. The only negative here is that parking can be hard.

Town & Country is the perfect place to have brunch, shop and get a little exercise. :) My friends and I had so much fun here. We actually spent several hours shopping, viewing the stores and having brunch. This was a great outing. The most of our time was spent at Snooze Eatery. The food was amazing and the service was great. If you happen to visit, try their shrimp and grits. The chorizo assuage gives it a pleasant and unique flavor.

Google
It was a wonderful experience and beautiful place... It has everything in just same place. I recommend for buy gift, clothes or books. That's a friendly and family place around a lot restaurants where you can eat everything. And also it's a big free parking lot.

We went out to eat at Cyclone Anaya's Tex Mex restaurant and then some shopping at the Gap. This is a nice place with plenty of parking (due to the virus) It is a clean and safe place to go. Lots of distractions for those who need to get out for awhile.

Yelp
I love this area for quick in and out shopping. With stores like Athleta , GAP, Hallmark and Randalls, it is a one stop shop for me. They are close to City Centre and parking is gratis.

Jason Z.

Yelp
A very modern town center area along I10 and BW8 crammed with consumerism and name brand stores to try to get folks to spend. The pluses here are that the parking garages all have free spaces, there's some parking lots to the south with plenty of space; which is great since paying for the street parking is a misuse of private funds in addition to being inconvenient. There's a ton of foot traffic here on Thursday- Sundays from the non office folks hanging around city center. Lots of restaurants are in walking distance from most of the office buildings, with my personal pick being the Chipotle for quick and solid fast casual food and Taste of Texas being the higher end steakhouse with a personality. I don't care much for most of the stores here as I feel they're more a storefront and advertisement than anything else since I've never really bought anything from this area.

Lauri B.

Yelp
I'm surprised this store has such low ratings. I was immediately greeted with a smile by Chieuanh. I was looking for a different size than what was on the storeroom floor, so she offered to look in the back for me and even held the item up to her since the person I was shopping for was about the same build. I'm not very familiar with this store, so I appreciated the extra help. Chieuanh rang me up and gave me a gift receipt. She wrapped my item nicely in the store bag. I got 40% off my purchase as well! I've always loved this shopping area, but now I have another reason. Will return!

Yelp
Horrible wait time for table and then more waiting for pizza which is mediocre. We have been to this restaurant 3 times (we live nearby) and the service is never good. We waited 45 min for our pizza after ordering. Staff is subpar and doesn't seem to know what they are doing. Save yourself the headache, go somewhere else.

Yelp
T&CV is an outdoor shopping center anchored on one end by Randalls & flows west/northwest until you hit Queensbury Lane. Numerous retail stores including Barnes & Noble, Athleta, Williams Sonoma, Gap, Ann Taylor, Baily Banks & Biddle and a variety of eateries including Flemings, Pronto, Zoe's, Snooze, etc. I shop here more than I do at City Centre because well CC is such a cluster & I hate people. Well, most people. The only problem with this center is that it is outdoors & this is Houston so while you can walk from Ulta to the Gap you may want to get in your car to traverse the parking lot to Everything But Water or Banana Republic. The center is kept very clean but I will admit they put their Christmas decorations up a bit on the early side. Convenient to where I live & easy to navigate.

Tom L.

Yelp
Easy to park and shop. City Centre has more shops but is a pain in the *** to get to anything if you want to be in/out in a hurry. Note on T&C parking. Huge angry fight between City Centre and Town & Country owners when CC came into play. Thus T&C tows heavily, so don't think you can park there and walk over to CC.

Yelp
Town and Country Village Shopping Center is a shining example of how to do an open air mall the right way. This upscale shopping area is filled with stores like Williams Sonoma, Banana Republic, Talbots, Barnes and Noble, Restoration Hardware and Gap. There are also great places to eat, like Escalantes, Starbucks, La Madeline, and Cafe Express. Throughout the perfectly landscaped store fronts, you will find water features and statuary that make the shopping experience a little more relaxed than you'd get in a hectic, echoing mall. The goal here is tranquility in the midst of all of the busy comings and goings of workers, shoppers and commuters at the intersection of Beltway 8 and Interstate 10. Although the actual indoor mall that was once here was torn down, the Town and Country Village Shopping Center still thrives and offers a nice shopping experience without the parking and crowd nightmares of a traditional mall. I say, "Bravo!"

Eman S.

Yelp
An open outdoor mall, just outside City Centre. Plenty of parking, and plenty of shops. The classical music playing outside contributes to the pleasant feel of this shopping center. My usual routine: Study at Barnes & Noble, walk next door to Gap (my favorite Gap location. Staff=AMAZING), then onto Ulta for some new nail polish, then to Randall's/Walgreen's for groceries! I can get all of my studying, retail shopping, and grocery shopping done all in one shopping center! After my usual routine, I sometimes drop by Berripop for some froyo if I'm feeling like it. Other stores include Banana Republic, Coldwater Creek, Jos. A Bank, Ann Taylor, Eye trends, and The Accessory Place. Places to eat include, Zoe's Kitchen, Smashburger, La Madeline (also a great place to study), Cafe Express, Escalante's, Ooh La La Bakery, and Starbucks.

Sofy G.

Yelp
I love this shopping center... It's clean, parking lot is never an issue. Wonderful stores like Pottery Barn, The Accessory Place, Barnes & Nobles, Williams Sonoma, Soft Surroundings, GAP, ULTA, J McLaughlin, and many more... Great eateries too. I feel so relax and really enjoy my shopping experience here. It's missing an Ice crearán place tho... Come and visit Town & Country next time you want to avoid the crow and just have fun shopping.

Bill T.

Yelp
Lisa owns the shop and this is an excellent basic barber shop. I have been a customer for more than 20 years.

Melissa M.

Yelp
I visit my dentist often... too often. I have one of those stupid bite guards you wear while sleeping and I keep breaking mine, but I digress. My dentist's office is right behind this shopping center. Because I am at the dentist about once a month, I spend time browsing and shopping often. First, everything is outdoors and in the summer it's HOT. There are several places I frequent including the Chase bank, Cafe Express, Barnes and Noble, Omaha Steaks, American Express Travel services, etc... But the layout isn't great. I often wander around looking for places because I can't find them. There aren't a ton of great shops in here, but there is adequate parking. There aren't many unique stores in here, but it does in a pinch.

David N.

Yelp
If anyone was around about 10 years ago this place was a wasteland. Memorial City Mall was outdated, the area outside of it was bare. Then they decided to renovate the mall, but while renovations were happening, many shops started opening up outside of the mall that makes up the Town & Country village shopping center. At first it was just a few shops, now it's HUGE. Not only are there places to shop but places to eat! It makes City Centre, Memorial City, and Town & Country HUGE!

Melissa G.

Yelp
I have to say I love this shopping center out of just about any outdoor mall in Houston. The first reason is It is easy to access on my afternoon commute. Exit, make a u-turn and take a few right turns and you are there without having to wait at a bunch of lights. So when there is a book I want at Barnes and Noble I always check to see if it is in stock at this location first. The second reason is when it comes to Christmas Shopping there are a good variety of shops here. Restoration Hardware, Williams Sonoma, Bath and Body Works, or picking out (or up) a gift at Omaha Steaks. The only thing this center is missing is a Sprinkles or a shop to grab some specialty chocolates (hint, hint entrepreneurs) and then it would be complete perfection!

Wane H.

Yelp
Located at I10 and BW8 this shopping center has a few diverse establishments to include shops, boutiques and restaurants for all your dining needs. The area is quite large and there is sufficient parking. Give it a try if your on this side of town!

Chrishelle C.

Yelp
The nice shops and restaurants may lure you to this shopping center, but it you want to make sure you have a notable experience stay don't you DARE step foot off of that property. As soon as you decide to give into the pedestrian inviting amenities and step outside of the property perimeter, your vehicle will be towed EXPEDITIOUSLY!! You will then be told that you have to pay $200+ to retrieve your vehicle. Yes, your leisurely stroll across to City Centre to work off that nice dinner at McCormick & Schmicks quickly turns into a stroll you wish you never would have taken. If you decide that you want to check out your surroundings past Town & Country, make sure you move your car and drive .1 miles to find another parking spot. That makes sense...right?

L A.

Yelp
If you park south of Queensbury Ln. and go north into City Center, Town & Country has hired watchers who call wreckers to tow your car immediately. T&C has a rivalry with City Center and takes it out on customers. Signs are posted about this. Why go to the area at all if this occurs.

michael d.

Yelp
As others have mentioned here, the towing situation is a bit out of hand. We arrived to the area from out of town (Austin) and thought we would see an afternoon movie. We were pulling a trailer and thus the parking garages at City Centre were not an option so we kept driving until we found a wide open empty lot which we are now well aware was not a part of the same development. After the movie we venture back over to where we were parked with thoughts of possibly grabbing a drink in Fleming's or a dessert at Pronto Cucinino only to discover that our car (and trailer) had been towed from what was when I parked and still was a completely empty parking lot. I certainly understand that they need to protect the interests of the tenants within their shopping center, but it seems that they are more concerned with punishing those that don't know any better (and lining the pockets of the towing company that I'm guessing they collect commissions from) than honestly trying to improve the experience of the average customer. Until they change their policies, we will not be patronizing any of the businesses within this shopping center again.

Nicole S.

Yelp
Has a good variety of shops and restaurants to fit most tastes. I've heard about towing issues, but I generally just move my car when I go between this and City Centre just in case. I'm sure if you valet at City Centre that they wouldn't tow if moving your car is a pain. I think the parking policies at both centers are just silly, they should work together to drive business.

Yelp
BEWARE TOWN & COUNTRY VILLAGE SHOPPING CENTER Last night I parked my car in a parking lot designated for Town & Country Village shopping center patrons and then walked into McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks for a dinner engagement. I didn't go anywhere else in the area....just parked my car and entered the restaurant. McCormick and Schmick's, for those that don't already know, is part of Town & Country Village shopping center, as stated on their website http://www.townandcountryvillage.com/retail_restaurants.html You see, I follow the rules; it's just how I roll. I drive the speed limit, I wear my seatbelt, I use my turn signal, and I adhere to posted directives. I won't even let my husband park in the "Reserved for Customer with Child" parking spots at the grocery store. (He insists that it's okay, because I am someone with a child and the sign doesn't specify that I must have my child with me at that moment ;-) but I won't have it.) Anyway, you can probably already guess what happens next, so I'll spare you the suspense. When I walked out of the restaurant a couple of hours later, I went STRAIGHT from the restaurant to where my car was, and my car was nowhere to be found. It was late, I was alone, I was cold (my jacket was in my car) and I was relieved to see 2 police officers parked in a car nearby. They informed me that Town & Country Village shopping center employs a monitored video surveillance service that watches shoppers park their cars and as soon as they step foot on the property of the neighboring business, City Centre, they radio any number of tow trucks that are standing by in Town & Country Village, ready to tow away the offending vehicle. But, as I previously mentioned, I NEVER LEFT Town and Country Village Shopping Center. I parked my car in THEIR lot and while I spent my money in one of THEIR restaurants, they were thanking me for my patronage by towing my car. Nice. Although I think it's creepy that they stalk shoppers and diners in this way, I was relieved to hear it as it meant there was proof that what I was saying was true. And when I phoned the towing company, they agreed (at my insistence) to have the video reviewed. Quite some time later.... mind you, I'm still standing there stranded in the parking lot....a tow truck pulls into the lot, drops my car in the middle of it and drives away. The driver of the Elite Towing Svcs tow truck never said a word; he didn't even look my way. Nothing. Now, to add insult to injury, my car isn't running right, there's something definitely wrong and when we get to the bottom of it, I'm betting it's related to the tow/THEFT of my vehicle. The whole ordeal was strange, frustrating and disappointing. Needless to say, I will not be going back and I strongly discourage anyone else from doing so.

Scott M.

Yelp
Beware, town & country village is running a predatory towing scam with elite towing services. Towed my car 2 miles away, left me stranded an cost 225

Abbey J.

Yelp
I love town and country! Like One of my favorite places to get food, clothig, and gifts . With the recent new aditions this place is rockin!

Kathy J.

Yelp
There are many many signs telling customers where to park. The real problem is city centre who refuses to provide enough parking for their customers. I love shopping and eating at Town and Country. I just make sure I'm parked where I'm supposed to be.

Grace P.

Yelp
I like this shopping center. Quite a bit, actually. It's got all of my staples: Gap, Banana Republic, Starbucks, Ulta, and Barnes and Noble. Plenty of parking. And it's close to even MORE great shopping in CityCentre.

Wesley O.

Yelp
I frequent this shopping center for its restaurants and shops. Recently, after shopping at the shops and enjoying some coffee in this shopping center I crossed the street to City Centre to make a last purchase (b/c there store didn't have it) and take a leak I came back to find boots on my car. They have camera's I guess and accused me of going into Texan's grill, which really pi$$ed me off b/c I'm a Cowboys fan... I understand they have to protect their parking for their tenants, and I don't even mind the boot, but when the guy shows up and I show him my receipts and that I spent 95% of my time and money at their shopping center and he still charges me is what really got me going. After calling the management company they were quite indifferent and sent me back to the parking authority. Not going back until I get my boot money back. City Centere will get all the money from my shopping and happy hour and other gatherings I have set up. Maybe one day the tenants will realize that their mgmt. company doesn't really care about their clients as much they do.

Cole P.

Yelp
My experience with this store has been a complete disaster! Just yesterday, I discovered they had screwed up my appraisal by appraising the diamond in the wrong setting. I worked with Kimberly who is totally incompetent. As I shopped for engagement settings, the employees pumped me with intrusive personal questions, attempting to size up my financial situation and that irritated me. Upon negotiating a price with Kimberly and the manager, I contracted to have the family diamond removed from the old setting and placed in the new one. On two occasions, Kimberly called me trying to extract an additional $900 out of me, claiming that they ran into more expenses. On both occasions, I had to make trips down to the store and chew out the manager. I had to continuously hound them to have the ring ready for the engagement and at the last minute, they began work. The ring was barely ready for the engagement. I do not recommend this jewelry store and in a city as large as Houston, there are too many viable alternatives.

Kady K.

Yelp
Please boycott this place, they are ridiculous. I personally think that it is low for a business to resort to using cameras to follow customers parking in their parking lot in order to see if they are staying in their shopping center or going to city center next door. I parked there last night and they towed my car. I had to pay $230 to get it back. The towing place is this whole in the wall, we were all lined up like we committed a crime and were about to be booked. The most upsetting part is that there is no one to give you any info on where your car is, they have no phone number for the towing company, nothing!! How are you supposed to figure out what to do at 10pm? And why are they towing people in their parking lot when most of their businesses were closed at that time, I can understand during the day but at night, really?? This is pure greed! Over $200/car, I hope this is good slush fund for them. They obviously have some issues with city center taking some of their business so the best retaliation they could come up with is to penalize potential customers. Well, you lost a customer and I will make sure to tell everyone that I know about your despicable tactics!

Retriever D.

Yelp
Echo comments below on unethical towing practices by Town and Country. Will avoid this center and their merchants. If they feel the need to continue to tow, they should place a sign at every parking spot to adequately inform.

James S.

Yelp
Town and Country has a lot of nice shops to enjoy but do not go there and attempt to cross any street......they have very vigilant camera men and anxious tow truck drivers. After crossing the street into "City Center" for happy hour then back to "Town and Country" for dinner my car was towed. The bill for the incident $218. I attempted to inform them that yes I did cross the street but then came back for dinner but the situation was out of the their hands and nothing could be done. Let this be a notice to everyone, there is no mercy for street crossers even if you end up at one of the shops or restaurants. If I were you, go to Memorial Mall where it is air conditioned and there are more upscale stores and restaurants to avoid any confusion.

L M.

Yelp
Parked in front of AT&T when they were closed, walked over to City Centre for dinner and they towed the car! Over $200 to retrieve it. If you don't know what part is Town & Country & what part is City Centre, how are you supposed to know if you're parking in the right spot? That's okay T&C, keep doing this, drive customers away (literally) during a recession. There are PLENTY of other places to shop & dine in this city that welcome your business & won't tow your car.

Jane A.

Yelp
Very poor policy on towing. I had no idea I was parking in "unauthorized area" when parked at 3:00 PM in McCormick & Schmick strip center lot. Vehicle was towed and charges to retrieve over $200. There should have been a NOTICEABLE warning of some sort. Only realized parking restrictions after the fact from a VERY SMALL towing company contact phone number sign. Mid afternoon, mid week appointment was in adjacent City Centre office building.
