"Most people are at Town Hof & Thanks Chicken for soju and beer, but there’s a reason that “chicken” is in its name. The fried chicken is generously battered with an extra thick, crunchy skin that isn’t oily. The habanero-garlic flavor is a must-order—the sweet glaze is dotted with specks of fiery chile. We’d eat a plate on its own, but the combinations with other anju are a better deal. Go for the one with rosé mala tteokbokki—the chewiness of the rice cakes is a nice contrast to the fried chunks of poultry. Town Hof gets crowded on weekends, but its Koreatown plaza has a spacious parking lot, which is another convincing reason to add it to your Friday night itinerary." - Cathy Park

Ordered a 2 item combo (half and half chicken plus rice cake in rose mara sauce with ramen add on), a half and half chicken order, and a seafood pancake. Our group picked a total of 4 chicken flavors, their original fried chicken, sweet and spicy, habanero garlic chicken, and honey. All of these flavors were very good, the original had a great fried exterior and you could add some of the rose mara sauce from the rice cake to spice it up. The Sweet and spicy chicken was a very light spice, moreso sweet with a syrupy coating on the chicken. The Habanero garlic chicken was spicier if you had a piece of the habanero pepper on it but otherwise, this was an alright choice. The honey chicken was sweet and the syrupy coating was very nice. The rice cake in rose mara sauce with ramen was a mouth watering plate of rice cake, fish cake, glass noodles, and the ramen coated with their creamy and spicy rose mara sauce. This was a big plate to share with a small group. The rice cake and fish cake were chewy and the glass noodles were fun to slurp up. Adding ramen was a good choice as there was plenty of rose mara sauce left to soak up, even some leftover to add to the fried chicken. The seafood pancake was notable for small bite size pieces of calamari and other seafood. It fell apart a bit easily because of the green onion slices that were holding it together. Service was fast, and they were quite patient taking our order. There is a call button installed on the table if you need their attention. The interior is very retro 90s South Korean with brick walls, oversized bench seats and kpop playing in the background. Parking is also adequate with enough above ground parking places. Overall, this is a great place to enjoy a meal with friends together craving Korean style fried chicken.

Their fried chickens were pretty good, and other food that we ordered were just average. They have happy hours until 7 pm.

Fairly good food with a weeknight happy hour from 5pm-7pm for soju and bottled beer. All of the food ordered was tasty. The rosé mala ddeokbokki was an interesting try, but I think I’ll go for the plain rosé or classic next time. The interior is a little lacking in charm, but this is a fine place for casual drinking/eating.

Korean spices wings are very soggy. I like habanero wings. Service is bad. I have to ask for water, bring the checks by myself. They are no staff available enough.

Whoah. How is this place so unspoken of? I’ve never heard of this place until I came here with a friend. Their chicken was some of the best Korean friend chicken I’ve had in ktown. Their 양념 is on pointtt. Lots of seating and TVs too for sports days. The only thing I have against this place is the slow service.

I love this place. The parking is plenty, convenient, and located in a safe & clean Korean plaza. The staff is very kind, attentive, and hospitable, (especially Emily eonni 🥰 thank you for your wonderful service!!) 💕 I ordered the half-half, soy sauce and spicy ones. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly, well-seasoned, well-done and looked so appetizing. I really enjoyed the music here, the retro Korean vibes, overall nice ambiance to hangout with your friends. Wide variety of drink options, Korean snacks, and affordable light midnight foods- on top of their popular yangnyeom tongdak. The side salads paired well with the chicken. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Koreatown area and looking for a trendy place while enjoying the nightlife. Looking forward to come back and take my friends here soon! 😊😊

New discovery for ChiMak place! Nice easy relaxing place, you can practically stay here all night. KFC is top notch and they serve my fav Cass beer. Fried chicken remained crispy even hours after at home. Cool people work here, can’t wait to try again another time, try their other items and bring people looking to experience Ktown.
