"Tozi Korean BBQ has shuttered after seven years at 1265 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Block Club reports. It’s not all bad news for Korean barbecue fans however as a sign on the door announces that another Korean spot, the chain Iron Age BBQ, will replace it." - Daniel Gerzina

Google
Great meals, little pricey. The food and spices are a wonderful blend. The meat is prepared at your table in a small hotplate/grill and cooked to just the way you like it. Their choice for k-pop is always on point.

Google
I mean they okay, but the servers have a bad attitude problem. After paying almost $100 for food a server who wasn’t even our server brought the receipt demanding a tip. Then hovered over me until I gave him something. So I give them a 5 for the food, a 3 for the service, and a 10 for the attitude because it seems that was the best they can offer me at this establishment. Never going back.

It was amazing food ,drinks and service, definitely a place to come back ))

Google
Tozi is a dope spot, gone in about 2 times already, never packed. Very nice relaxing/fun atmosphere. Food was very enjoyable as were the side dishes. It is a little pricey for the portion of meat you get. But overall great spot to dine in.

Google
Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Food was ready quickly but pretty average. A lot of seating here but it wasn't very busy when I went. K-pop playing loudly over the speakers and on the screens.

Google
Went to this place on a Sunday for lunch. It's been a while since I've had Korean bbq and I really enjoyed the food. We ordered octopus and beef brisket for the grill. The banchan spread was quite impressive. Everything was very tasty. There was only one waiter on out side of the restaurant and he was very attentive, even though he did forget to give us the lettuce leaves to roll our food into. Great place in my opinion and not too busy for a Sunday lunch.

Google
Don't recommend this restaurant to anybody. The price for the meats are ridiculous. This is our first-time there and it will be our last. Instead of bringing all the foods that you ordered out to cook at the same time he brought one order at a time and cooking himself looking like he was trying to feed you with as little of meats as possible by running back and forth and at the same time trying to cut the meat into smaller portion. While he was too busy cooking all the little portion of the meats that we ordered he didnt bring the side dishes until no meats left on the grill. We ordered closed to $300 worth foods and very disappointed.

Google
Pros: -Nice and Clean atmosphere -Friendly waiter who helped understand complicated menu - exposure to Korean food and drinks - cold Korean beer in cold mugs (big enough to share between two people) -very tasty Tozi marinated beef - nice variety of veggie sides and dipping sauces cons - 4 shrimp costs like $20 (comes with veggie sides, but if you want more meat... You have to pay like another $20.... Not worth it) if you require a lot of meat to be satisfied... This is not the place for you -waiter knew we were there celebrating an anniversary and did nothing nice (like maybe something complimentary) even though it was our first time there - he kept visiting our table too much when we were not looking for him to come. It was our anniversary. We needed some space. If they double their meat portions... We will come back.

Yelp
I highly recommend visiting this place with a group of friends for a fun dining experience! Korean BBQ is one of my favorite meals, and this spot definitely lived up to my expectations. For around $30 per person, it's a reasonable deal for all-you-can-eat BBQ. You can select a few meat options at a time from their menu, and they'll bring more when you've finished your first order. The side dishes were delicious and filling. Honestly, they were so good that it was hard not to get full just on those. Some of the meat quality wasn't the best, but considering the price, it still fit the vibe One of the highlights of the meal is cooking the meat right at the table. It's a fun and interactive experience, and you get to cook everything exactly how you like it. I'll definitely be back with friends to try more meat options and enjoy drinks together. It's the perfect spot for a fun group outing!

Yelp
* Very good food and it's a Korean BBQ place that offers more than just red meat. Their chicken and shrimp dishes are good. They also have very good sides. I recommend the japchae, salad, and rice cakes. * Very good service. * Modern atmosphere and great for lovers of K-pop.

Yelp
I would rate it threw star. This restaurant needs some upgrade. The ambiance of the restaurant has deteriorated. I've been to lots of korean restaurants bbq houses around the town and i noticed once their business starts running they just keep operating and forget some essential things. Our server gave us a severely chipped plastic glass. You can check the image. The side dishes are just some common selections. There were no vege sides like the usual. The table top was kinda oily. Needs more cleaning. Overall my experience wasnt so so.

Yelp
Came here for a school event and ended up doing the AYCE option. We ordered a bunch of different meats, seafood and side dishes and were all pretty good. Would say the overall experience is quite good for an AYCE place so would recommend for big groups.

Yelp
Iron Age is delicious KBBQ located in a very nice neighborhood in Chicago. The food is fire, and the options are quite extensive. We came in at around 8 but needed to reserve a table which took about 75 minutes. While it was a long wait, we managed to get through after 45 minutes since others seemed to have skipped the line (which was like 14 parties long). Inside is typical of your standard KBBQ menu, you to get 3 meats (raw), cook it on the grill, and chat and wait. We recommend the bulgogi, pork belly, Iron age steak, for your first round, and you can keep ordering more and more rounds once you finish your first offering. Some people like chicken but that takes way longer to cook, in your 2 hour time limit that will take like 30 minutes compared to 5-10 with red meat. You'd get way more rounds in if you go with any red meat. The reason why it's a 4 and not a 5 is because the place had pretty dingy cups that weren't clean. It definitely has had better days, and service is not the fastest when getting to our table. For the price it was fair for its location. Overall, good spot for KBBQ in Chicago. Over

Sam S.

Yelp
It's all you can eat kbbq- so you know you're really just going there to see how full of meat you can stuff yourself for 30 bucks. As such, I'm not really grading based off the quality of meat. The meat tastes good enough (sure, you can definitely get fresher, more tender meat at other restaurants), but the side dishes are nice, the japchae and zucchini are AMAZING, the atmosphere is roisterous, the vibes are good. Even though it's always so packed and busy, the staff still do their best to provide quality service. Other reviews address the cleanliness of the establishment, which I admit could be held to a bit of a higher standard. But for all you can eat k-bbq with your friends, this place is a fine choice.

Philip M.

Yelp
Was there week ago. Iron age soy beef steak - goooood, but shrimps - not so gooood. Service good enough.

Jane M.

Yelp
If you're looking for decent, all, you can eat Korean barbecue look no further than iron age. The two times I've been there, has been a slight wait, but since it's situated in a cute little town, you can always visit shops nearby and they will call you when your seat is ready. Once you get inside, you will see there are plenty of booths. If you're looking for delicious Korean BBQ with good choice of meats & seafood to grill, then this place is great! The decor is minimal. The ventilation is better than most other Korean BBQ restaurant. #Ismelllikebeef Cool beer craft dispensers. The service was prompt in changing the iron skillet; replenishing pickled vegetables, and dipping sauces.

Ken L.

Yelp
A single grill shared between six people plus slow service at an AYCE Korean BBQ restaurant? No thank you... The options were somewhat limited (both meant and non-meat selections) and the restaurant simply pales in comparison to other Korean AYCE. They were quick at refilling the non-grilled sides like salad, rice, and kimchi. Most likely would not come back... PS: the exhaust was not working at our table, so we smelled extra smoky...

Samantha P.

Yelp
Personally I prefer higher quality protein / beef for Korean BBQ, but it is all you can eat and byob so I can't complain too much. The servers are very attentive.

Sam L.

Yelp
Iron age has an excellent deal on korean barbecue, and it's very dependable. I've been to both the wicker park and glenview locations several times, and it's always a good time. The ambiance is definitely a little more cozy and relaxed at wicker park, while the glenview location is a lot bigger and has more going on. The all you can eat deals are really impressive. Around $22 for lunch and $29 for dinner, plus a decent and well-priced drinks menu. I love getting the beef bulgogi and spicy pork bulgogi, the beef brisket is decent too but definitely more of a plain flavor. I would definitely recommend this place, and I know I will be back some time soon!

Ozzie T.

Yelp
We visited over the weekend and this wasn't our first time. We've been here before and I recall a larger variety of sides on our first visit. I was very disappointed this time around. First off, there was no one to greet us when we walked in. I had to hunt someone down. And the floors OMG! There has to be a layer of grease on the entire floor from the moment you walk in all the way to the back by the bathrooms. Why? Are all the mops broken? Did they run out of soap? We'll never know. The food was good but was the brisket always this fatty?!?! There was way toooo much fat for our health here today. On the plus side, our server was very nice and attentive. The salad dressing was tasty and the sides were good. Unfortunately, the cleanliness is an issue for me and I don't think I'll be back.

Saphace A.

Yelp
My cousin LOVES KBBQ on a charcoal grill. LOL. They wouldn't seat us until the full party was present. Anywho, we were the last ones in the group to arrive lol There were a lot of us, so we had one half the table grilling their meats and the other half grilling their own as well. My side of the table got two kinds of chicken, pork belly, bulgogi, and some other kind of marinated pork. I've been to some KBBQ spots where it's not marinated so I appreciated all the flavors. It was a lot of food and everything was delicious! Staff came around on occasion to check on us. It's a busy place that's great for groups. It never got packed but they do have other locations in the city. They were showing K-pop music videos a couple different walls which was a fun vibe! There's a parking lot at the back but we found parallel across the street. Wouldn't mind coming back!

Matthew E.

Yelp
High quality meat, good service. Fair prices for lunch. Brisket is 10/10. Could eat that and just the sides only. Thinking about it makes my mouth water.

Nhung D.

Yelp
My husband and I came with a few of our friends because I was craving Korean BBQ. One of our friends came early to put their name on the waitlist since I don't believe they take reservations. The wait was about 45 mins to an hour so not the worst but thank goodness for our friend who came early! Parking was fairly easy since there is street parking as well as additional parking in the back of the restaurant (yes, the lot within the Jewel Osco shopping center). The food was delicious! We had one of our friends order everything and yum! Everything from the sides to the meat, there wasn't one thing that I disliked so will I be back again whenever I'm craving Korean BBQ? Absolutely! I will say that the restaurant wasn't the greatest when it came to the vents, especially with all the smoke from the cooking at each table but what can ya do.

Michelle T.

Yelp
Decent KBBQ spot! If comparing to NY'S KBBQ, it doesn't even compare. Can't beat NY, they cook everything for you! The AYCE choices for dinner was good. Pork, beef, chicken, squid, etc. They had some good sides too: japchae, spicy rice cakes, steamed egg, etc. We mainly ordered top blade (seasoned with McCormicks steak seasoning) and pork belly. If you want lettuce you could order a salad without dressing! Service was okay :-)

Lauren Z.

Yelp
Honestly, I'm pretty impressed. I didn't have high hopes for the best service being closer to the city-but alas! We were wrong! It was a perfect evening to go in with little to no wait. Our waitress was outstanding -probably the best service I've had in a very long time! Standard AYCE KKBBQ. Their rice cakes were on the firmer side this time but still tasty. The flavors are the quintessential epitome of what Korean food tastes like. All the umami flavors ! Parking can be a bit tough and is usually pay to park. Excellent excellent excellent service !

Mina H.

Yelp
The quality of brisket was atrocious all fatty and weird, I questioned the cut, and the Korean waiter nodded and apologized sheepishly. He knew. Had to ask for lettuce and the spicy pepper paste (peanut butter consistency) that normally comes with it was watered down to a red liquid. The accompanying banchan (sides) was only basic kimchi. Seriously? Wtf, this chain is an insult to Korean food. Unlimited garbage food is not my vibe. Quality over quantity all day. And I thought Glenview was bad. For the money, go somewhere decent. There's a place in Albany Park (Kim's) that seems amazing.

Lefai K.

Yelp
I didn't know there were multiple locations in Chicago, but yes there is. This location is in Wicker Park, with free parking in the back, near the Jewel-Osco and Lowes area. If you never been to an Iron Age, or are use to the bigger one in Glenview, this location still has the darker theme, but with a lot less noise and more of a quieter vibe. Be careful! For whatever reason, the entire dining area floor was super slick... it was almost walking across ice. It wasn't just me, but the multiple people we came with, were slipping and sliding as well. The meats here are good, especially the pork belly, bulgogi, and you gotta try out the steam egg. Service was great, considering we had a party of 10, and we all left there full. BATHROOM REVIEW: Men's bathroom had a couple of urinals and stalls. Somewhat dingy, but got the job done. Careful grabbing the handle to the bathroom, as the communal sinks to wash your hands are outside the Men's and Women's bathroom. Imaging the germs on that thing. Either way, sit or squat? Squat.

Tina A.

Yelp
You cannot beat all you can eat Korean bbq at this place. Food is delivered fast and service is good. Get you some SOJU

Yelp
I recently had a delightful dining experience at a restaurant that left me with a full belly and a smile on my face. The food was fantastic, and the service was top-notch. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. However, I must mention that the tables could have been cleaner. It was a minor flaw, but it did catch our attention. Despite this, the overall experience was excellent, and the delicious food and excellent service overshadowed this small inconvenience. As the night was winding down, we were surprised when our waitress brought out even more food during last call. It was a pleasant surprise that had us laughing as our stomachs were already beyond filled. The portions were generous, and we certainly didn't leave the restaurant hungry. Two weeks later, we decided to visit their Desplains location. I found it even more enjoyable, as the vents were built into the table, providing a more comfortable dining experience. In contrast, the previous location had vents placed over the table, which was a bit less convenient. All in all, I highly recommend both locations for their delicious food and outstanding service. While the tables might not have been the cleanest, the overall experience was excellent. Whether you choose the chicago location or the Desplains one, you're sure to leave with a satisfied palate and a memorable dining experience.

Carmen G.

Yelp
Second time coming to this K-BBQ place and the prices are fair for what you get. However, there was a scary manager guy pacing around that berated my server (who seemed new) for the portion he gave us. It rubbed me the wrong way entirely because that is no way to treat staff. He literally screamed at him steps away from our table and the server seemed visibly shaken up. The floor is always slippery but they have a caution sign. The wait is about 10 minutes give or take. Free parking in the back. Love the individual sauces you get, the kimchi, the rice, the lettuce wraps, soju and the meats of course. I appreciate how attentive the servers are because they'll change the grill out quite often. Management just needs to chill a bit and learn how to treat others better.

Ashley H.

Yelp
I really enjoyed Iron Age! Our party of 4 arrived during prime time on a Thursday night and waited about 40 minutes for a table. There is a great selection of bars in the area, so we went around the corner and enjoyed drinks while waiting for our text that the table was ready. I enjoyed the buzzing atmosphere but it can get quite loud. The staff was nice and I thought they juggled the large crowd well. Overall, the food is tasty and you definitely get your money's worth at $29 unlimited! We got a little bit of everything, but my favorites were the Hawaiian pork and squid. Both were well marinaded and the dipping sauces were great. The banchan was also solid and we appreciated that they were generously refilled, although there was not as much variety as some other kbbq restaurants. We ordered additional sides of japchae and tteokbokki that were tasty. I would definitely recommend Iron Age especially if this is someone's first visit to a kbbq restaurant, as they will get to try a little bit of everything at a good price.

Julius S.

Yelp
Considering the price and the generous portions of food served, Iron Age no doubt stands out as one of Chicago's top KBBQ spots within its price range. They offer free parking for customers which is v convenient. I would say be prepared for slightly longer wait times, as it's a popular location, but trust me, the anticipation is absolutely worth it. They do accept reservations in advance, but only for parties of six or more. If you decide to walk in during dinner hours, allocate about 30-45+ minutes, depending on your group's size and the day you visit. While you you wait and eat, enjoy the K-pop and R&B tunes playing to add to the experience. What sets Iron Age apart, though, is its exceptional staff - they're incredibly accommodating and clearly know how to keep the operation running smoothly. When it comes to the AYCE, you can order up to three main dishes and three sides at a time. My personal favorites include the Hawaiian Bulgogi, the savory pork belly, and the spicy pork bulgogi. Don't forget to ask for sauce refills, as you'll be dipping throughout your meal. Rest assured, the value warranted - you'll leave stuffed, thoroughly satisfied, and smelling smoky. It's all part of the magical KBBQ experience. Embrace it and savor every bite. Happy eating!

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
Thank you to Anastasia for such great service today! She was so on top of it and greeted us promptly. Her eyeliner was so sharp it basically cut me (in the best way possible) lol! Love the ambiance here ALWAYS and they had kimchi too!!! Hehehe thank you Chian for great service toooo

Kevin Z.

Yelp
Iron Age has a few great things going for it--free parking, and the lowest priced AYCE Korean bbq in Chicago proper. The side dishes were good and the meat was decent quality. It could be better and it could be worse. It's a very solid casual spot if you're craving KBBQ.

Jenny L.

Yelp
Service was good, but not the food and atmosphere. It does not equate to the business expectating 20%-30% tip on the recipe. It's definitely a low ended restaurant. It's pretty ridiculous. They don't have Kalbi or quality meat. I didn't like anything they were serving at all, and it's not worth the price of AYCE. I had better elsewhere. Iron Age isn't he worst KBBQ I've ever had.

Ruby C.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing and delicious. The atmosphere was so fun and such a different experience. The server that we had was so kind. She was very helpful and thoughtful. If we ever go back to Chicago we will for sure be going back. One of the best restaurants we have been to !

John C.

Yelp
pretty good for the price tbh, can't really beat it, food is great and staff is friendly. was just there last night for our anniversary and would def go again. side note, the drinks at the bar are pretty strong unlike other places i've been to in that area

Rogelio M.

Yelp
The food was great and the service is awesome, but the ambiance was nit that great. The noise level was too loud for me. The place is good for teenagers that just want to have good food and drinks. I would not advice to bring kids because of the noise level inside.

Jhenevie O.

Yelp
Iron Age is a solid KBBQ! The place is pretty huge and you can find plenty of parking both street and a free lot for their customers. They do not accept reservations but instead you can be put on the waitlist. Just be sure that your entire party is available otherwise they will not seat you and you have a 10 minute grace period. Now the food! It was great! We ordered so many meats I can't even remember. I know for sure I loved the bulgogi. You can only order 3 meats at one time, which is perfectly reasonable. There are plenty of appetizers. Sauces and condiments as appropriate. Lots of alcoholic beverage choices. Service was excellent and our waitress was always coming by to make sure our grill was okay and if it needed to be changed. It is a very loud environment with the cooking and the music blasting in the background. There are many projectors playing music videos. A great hangout place with good food but it is definitely too loud for conversations. If you are someone that gets overstimulated this may not be the best for you. Prices were reasonable! Menu options were great. Not the best Kbbq I've ever been to but still a great restaurant! Please support Iron Age!!

Connor B.

Yelp
Great all you can eat KBBQ spot! Great price too. Food was very good. Sauces on meats really charr up the grill tho. Wish the sides were a little better too hut you kinda get what you pay for. Be prepared to wait to get seated. We waited over an hour and a half on a Saturday evening. You can put yourself on a list tho and go to a bar or shop on the street. Its a pretty lively spot

Jess H.

Yelp
IronAge Steak House is hands down my favorite Korean BBQ spot in town. The side dishes they serve are absolutely delicious, and they perfectly complement the main course. The unlimited BBQ meat they offer is of top-notch quality, which truly sets them apart. Not only is the meat flavorful and juicy, but the experience of grilling it at the table adds an extra layer of enjoyment. What truly makes IronAge special is their exceptional service. The servers are always friendly and attentive, willing to help out with cooking the meat and ensuring that everything is just right. The combination of great food, quality meat, and fantastic service makes IronAge Steak House a must-visit for anyone craving a memorable Korean BBQ experience.

Ana V.

Yelp
My Husband and I are frequent customers at this location. We have had almost every server help us, but today we had the most amazing and attentive server, Lorena M. She frequently checked to see how we were doing and refilled our waters consistently. She offered to cut our pork belly and switched the grill when needed. She was so polite and attentive to detail. No dirty dish was left on our table longer than a minute. She did all of this with a smile and authentic kindness! We will definitely continue to dine at this location, but we might just request her by name.

Princesa Keke Moné R.

Yelp
I did really like coming here because of the wide variety of meat selections!!!! My family was very interested to try Korean BBQ and wanted to learn about the culture more and this was the perfect sport to do this!!!

Julia S.

Yelp
Food was fantastic the experience was amazing and I had fun with my family for my birthday the customer service was amazing I love the energy the decorating was fabulous and compliments to the chef

Raymond Y.

Yelp
I don't eat Korean BBQ often and can't compare but I had a really good time here! We (party of 4) left so full. We happened to have skipped lunch, that day, so we were ready to chow down (especially after an hour wait -- it was busy as it was a Friday night). Even when we were headed out around 8pm, there was a line and more people putting down their name for a table. Seems to be a popular place -- and at $29 per person, it makes sense why! Again, I don't eat KBBQ often and don't know the typical price, but was told $29/pp was a really good price even if this place doesn't have some other typical meats on the menu (forgetting which). The meats/veggies were served quickly and they're very very well-seasoned. So definitely get a side of rice to help clear your palette! Our hot grill's fire turned off by itself once but otherwise the dining experience was easy. The waitress was attentive and kind. The ambience is lively with k-pop playing loud but not too loud that you can't hear the people at your table talk. There is a large screen playing the music video with the music. With many tables filled with people and hot grills going, it can get warm inside. You will walk out smelling like KBBQ!

Vanessa C.

Yelp
Prices are reasonable but the food quality is average. The interior definitely needs a remodel and the janitors need to clean the floors more. There's a lot of food on the floors. I prefer going to the one in the suburbs than this one.

David B.

Yelp
A burnt aroma welcomes you as soon as you walk through the door. The grills somehow burn instantly, within the first minute after you put meat on it. They strategically serve giant pieces of mid-grade beef for the "steak" thus making you too full to take advantage of the all-you-can-eat meat, and I lean towards a carnivore diet. Was very excited about the japchae and dukbokki, both of which were disappointingly sweet. Selection was limited. Nothing was bad but nothing was particularly excellent either. Value was ok, but I'd rather pay the extra $5 and go back to Jiang Niu. Also the smell in and around the bathroom was absolutely nauseating. The whole place is rather greasy and dirty.

Karan H.

Yelp
Iron Age was a great experience. Service was cordial and on point. We go there around 6 pm and we're immediately seated. Had a 2 hour limit which to our amazement we actually used the entire slot allotted to us lol. Food was delicious even though pitons were limited (ie no galbi was a bummer). Sides were decent but I was mostly there for the meat sweats lol. We started off with steak and chicken which slowed us down heavily because chicken breast was enormous and had to be cooked alone. Steak was tasty and cuts were tender and juicy. My favorite meats have to the beef and Hawaiian bulgogi. Good drink menu and the beer X soju towers were pretty cool. Overall, this spot is a vibe and generally caters to younger crowd (so loud music, beer towers late night food etc). I would still reccomend going early since they ran out of bulgogi pretty dang early into the night. Again for $29 in downtown chicago, this is absolutely amazing so I'm not complaining at all lol (just warning hah).

Kylie A.

Yelp
Always a great experience at Iron Age, all you can eat and as many sides as you'd want! Definitely recommend the steak options and the wait staff is great at recommending things you'd like. Week nights are easier to get a table and you can sign in and walk across the street and have a drink while you wait instead of waiting in the lobby. Great spot to come with 4 or so people as well to try more items!

Rie U.

Yelp
TLDR: Not AMAZING but $27 AYCE Korean BBQ dinner can't be beat! My bf and I came here on a Saturday evening, around 17:50 and we thought we'd have to wait at least an hour as the Yelp Waitlist was closed. We checked in with the hostess who said it'd be a 20-min wait, and I think we waited exactly 20 minutes before we got a text telling us our table was ready!! Growing up in Tokyo where there's a pretty big Korea Town, KBBQ has always been one of my favorites! I mean, who doesn't love a good fatty Pork Belly?! So, obviously, we ordered multiple rounds of the Pork Belly and then also ordered some Brisket, and Beef Bulgogi. The Pork Belly was tender and tasty but the Bulgogi and Brisket had some chewiness. We stuffed ourselves silly--like, uncomfortably so... :P #NoRegrets. I didn't take a pic but we also ordered Kimchi, Vegetables, and Japchae and they were alright. Okay, so the meat quality definitely isn't amazing but it's an AYCE so you have to compromise. There's a wide variety of meats and I'd definitely come back to try the other stuff. The grill is pretty small for a table that can seat up to 6 but we didn't feel like we needed more room.

Bianca R.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place!! This is my second time here and have realized I am truly obsessed!! The first time I went was like my partner. It was a super late night dinner, they're open till midnight! Our server was so fun and kind! Took her time to make sure we understood everything. Offered suggestions. Our dinner was fabulous!! We left extremely content! I was in a food coma for sure! The second time I went was with a friend and her 8 year old! It was my 7 year old first time there. He was THRILLED to be cooking his own food! The price for kids is $15.99 for lunch which seems fair to me considering how much food these growing boys put away! Overall this place is great! Can't wait to visit again when friends and family are in town!

Priscilia R.

Yelp
Pretty good Korean BBQ options for all you can eat! Good meats, chicken and even shrimp!! You have to like to cook stuff yourself and you have to flag down a waiter for help to bring the ingredients! The place can get overwhelmingly smokey like get ready to smell like this for 2 days smokey! They also say 22% is the minimum tip ...why?? Our waiter while nice never brought water until i asked twice, and i seriously asked for veggies 3x and they never came!!! maybe they didn't exist ??? ill be back, but next time ill be adamant about what i want, and wear sweats as to not ruin my nice clothes that STILL wreak of smoke and burnt sauces!

Yelp
Love, love, love this place! It was my second time in Chicago, I ate here the first time I visited, and I decided to bring my entire family the second time. Iron Age, Korean steakhouse did not disappoint! We got there during the dinner rush, there were already a lot of people waiting when we got there, but they gave us a table real quick, under 10 minutes. Right away the table what's up, they give you some oil and salt and chili sauce for your meat with some sides. We ordered several items on the menu, I don't know if the portions were big the first time I came, but the portions were humongous. It wasn't a problem, but we didn't get to try that many items on the menu because we were full with the first round of meat we ordered. wish the portions could've been smaller. Our server was friendly, but didn't return to the table that often. The atmosphere was really nice, the music was really great. The food was delicious. Just like the first time, my belly was satisfied. I love Korean barbecue, and this place knows how to separate really well. Highly recommend you make sure the portion they are giving you is for 1 to 2 people, depending on your group. If it's too big of a portion, let your server know if it's too much and they'll take it off the table. They do have a policy, where if you order too much, and do not eat it, they will fine you by charging you extra. You cannot take food to-go.

Yelp
The customer service here is bad. Very rude staffs. They don't say hi or ask how may I help you when we went there. When I got the text said that the table is ready, but they replied it was send by mistakes. Food was okay, not as good as before. When we leave they don't even say bye or thank you. Very disappointed.

Yelp
Oh wow, for cheaper than going out to a habachi restaurant, about the same price as getting some sushi, and half the price of a Brazilian steakhouse, you can enjoy the amazing flavors, textures, and aromas of Korean BBQ at Iron Age Korean Steakhouse. This is a perfect way to enjoy a special celebration with awesome service, the fun of cooking the meats together as a party, and getting lots of great pictures at a very reasonable price compared to other premium food options. It's also great that the restaurant is quite large and there's plenty of parking, so this works out as a nice gathering spot for large groups as well. The food here is just as great as the setup and the service. Everything I tried was delicious, which I had concerns about, since the price of the all you can eat (AYCE) is only slightly more than the price of 1 plate at many other KBBQ restaurants. But everything I had was fresh, tender, flavorful, and provided in generous portions. In particular, I loved the nice crispiness and firm crunch of the pork belly, the addictive flavor of both their beef and pork bulgogi options, the tenderness of their steak, and the flavor of their beef brisket. Really, every meat was prepared quite well and impressive -- being quite juicy even when I may have overcooked some parts a bit. For some of the trickier meats (pork, chicken, shrimp, and squid), the staff was very helpful in helping us to cook it thoroughly and answer any questions my party had. They did a great job of refilling drinks and sauces throughout the night and engaging in some conversation. For the sides, the spicy rice cake as not too spicy but it had a great firmness and full bodied flavor to it. The Japchae also had a great firmness to the noodles and good strong sesame flavor. Overall, I will definitely return here again. For the price, you get a great selection of delicious options and the food here is consistently impressive.

Yelp
The food was really good, my favorite was the Hawaiian Bulgogi. Service was fantastic, our waitress constantly switched out our grills and helped with placing the meats on them, was quick to ask us what we needed, and was friendly. Not to mention, their ambiance and music was great and even nostalgic. I enjoyed watching the music videos and singing along to some of the music. Restrooms are clean and sinks are co-Ed.
