These folk make an interesting drink which is somewhere between a smoothie and boba milk tea. I got a pomegranate black tea with boba and it was an interesting mixture of textures and tastes, but I was quickly into it. I’d definitely come back again. Their default milk is dairy-free. Drinks were also relatively cheap, for SF prices. On Tuesdays, you can get a large for the price of a medium. The store is a bit drab and dark. It takes minimalism a degree or two too far, but they sometimes have free tea samples!

Fully customizable boba offers thousands of unique flavor combinations. You can pick your own 3 flavors, sweetness level, and add-ons. Definitely a great place to stop by for bubble tea.

I visited here on a Tuesday night— (Free Upgrades all day on Tuesday!) TPumps seem to be always busy, and the employees here work very hard and are efficient. I was impressed to see the vast selection of different flavor combinations and availability on the menu board. However, I noticed that TPumps use Torani Syrup to flavor their teas. I personally think by adding this artificial syrup to the teas, it really diminishes the overall quality of the drink. I appreciate when Boba and Tea shops use purees, juices, and authentic ingredients in their craftsmanship; versus just using a standard artificial sugar syrup. The Boba itself was good! The texture was nice and chewy and the flavor had just the right amount of sweetness.

Menu is little of complicated if u r first timer. But u have many flavour options but when I got my coconut flavour it was just water and sugar and boba in it. I didn’t enjoy just was thirsty and it just quenched it. They also made the same flavour twice when we didn’t wanted it but if u want sugar water then this place is good.

Love the fast service and friendly staff! Menu can certainly be overwhelming for a first timer but if you let them know what your taste is, the staff is great about giving recommendations. My advice is to go for 50% or 75% sweet! 100% sweet is waaaay sweeter than the average boba and even 50% can be too sweet sometimes!

Tons of options, $3.75 for their standard size that includes boba and multiple flavors. I got the Light level of sweetness (50% sweetness) and I still found it too sugary. Will try the 25% next time. Still a great dessert drink though! They have a $2 daily special ready to go in the fridge. It’s a flavored tea but without boba.

This place is always full of young people happily drinking their sugary treats. I like coming here because it makes me feel part of this community, and I always leave this business feeling energized. The staff is friendly; they will help you order and customize your drink to your liking.

Solid experience. Can tailor sweetness, milk choice, toppings. Their white raspberry milk tea was interesting. Will be back!

This boba tea shop on Irving Street used to have long lines until they upped their price and refuse to take bills over $20. Still, they're arguably the most popular tea joint here, and there are many of them up and down the street. What sets TPump apart are their signs of massive selection of flavors, their cool vibe, and efficient staff that deliver consistent tea to your liking. It's been warm out, so I ordered a passion fruit, lemon and lychee green tea slushy with minimum sugar. (I'm not into boba;) The lychee flavor came out a bit strong and I'd swap it with guava next time.

Quality/Quantity - My daughter got the green apple, pomegranate, and raspberry black tea drink with light ice - She got the large size, and it is huge! 32 oz! The honey boba and tea are made fresh daily. Prepackaged teas are also available. Catering, see website. Atmosphere - "Hip" interesting art, see pictures. Very limited street parking; we got lucky and got a good space around the corner. The menu board is not easy for me to read, and a little too busy for me. No public restrooms. Does that mean there are restrooms for customers? Probably not. Promotions, both monthly and daily. T-shirts for sale, see picture. Service - One line to order, then everyone waits in the limited seating area. They move pretty fast. The wait in the line was longer than the wait to make the drink. Of course they only had one cashier and 2-3 people making drinks. Price - $6, which I guess included tax? Very good value/price. Especially in SF. Owner Comment - Congrats on your 11+ years of success and with your 8+ locations.

Tpumps menu is very overwhelming as the torani syrups flavor list is extensive and the combinations feel limitless. I planned ahead this time to ensure my drink tasted good. I got a Banana French Toast Black milk Tea with honey boba. The banana flavor wasn't overwhelming and it had a pleasant French toast taste. On Tuesdays there is a free upgrade deal so you can get an unreasonably large drink for $5! And they don't charge extra for honey boba! The boba texture is surprisingly very good as well as the sweetness. If you're craving an interesting flavor combo for a great price, Tpumps is a great choice for experimenting!

TPumps is one of my top boba shops in SF I like how you could write on the wall about how you love this boba shops and one of my favorite drinks is Almond Roca Raspberry Vanilla Black Milk Tea that taste like a Cheesecake flavor and my second best flavor is The Toast crunch boba milk tea. And I hope they make more TPumps in other locations like Oakland, Hayward Walnut Creek & other places in the Bay Area soon and also I hope they make one in Reno/ Sparks Nevada in the future. Tpumps has long been a favorite boba place of mine. When I was living in Berkeley, my friends and I would always make the long trip to San Francisco to satisfy our boba cravings. They offer some of the most amazing and unique boba flavors--from Green Apple Lychee Passion Green Tea to Salted Caramel Cookie Dough Black Tea. You'd have a plethora of flavors dancing on your tongue, fulfilling your sweet, sweet cravings. On my recent visit, I ordered the Passion Fruit Tangerine Guava Green Tea, and it was delicious--probably one of my favorite flavors I've had so far. It amazes me how many flavors they can add to a drink without making it overly confusing for your taste buds. There are no indoor seating, so just take your boba and go for a walk. It can get pretty busy at times, however, the staff are very fast with making the drinks.

Tpumps I miss the days when it was $3.75. Tpumps has a special with a free upgraded size on Tuesdays. Though the price has jumped to ~$6 with inflation, it is definitely the best bang for your bucko. The boba here has always been my favorite part along with the vast diversity of flavors you can mix into your drink. After becoming more experienced with other boba places, I've come to realize the tea is greatly-mid. Otherwise, the workers are always friendly and have good attitudes. They really be bussin out them dranks.

The drink was super good as a first time customer I'll definitely be returning with a little bit more preparation. It was a last-minute purchase and I was thirsty and it really clinched that thirst and need for speed drink on the go. It was made in minutes and I really appreciate how quick the staff were the staff that was helping me with my drink. She was super sweet and ordering it. She was also very sweet. I definitely would recommend. The building inside was really pretty. I like to touch on the black walls and the photos as well. It was really cute and I definitely will be returning. Stopped for some boba after a nice bike ride. My friend recommended Tpumps that is conveniently across Pineapple King Bakery! I usually get a classic black milk tea but this time I decided to branch out and got the coconut salted caramel black tea. So glad my choice worked out, it actually reminded me of a lavender milk tea. Could not really tasted the coconut nor salted caramel however it did taste good!

Came here today for the first time and ordered a brown sugar black milk tea with boba. Tasted very good, I did adjust the sweetness so it wouldn't be overly sweet. Would come again if I'm in the area. Friendly workers and quick service.

I love Tpumps for the price and size you can't really beat it! $6 for a large and there large is really big . Solid fruit tea and you get to pick what type of tea you'd want as the base and what syrups if you choose to build your own. Really good refreshing drink especially if your in the area . Ambiance is nice, they give out free samples that are always so tasty and the staff was friendly! Service was pretty quick .

Came here after a long day of work and there was no line surprisingly. I got the vanilla almond roca blueberry which is my go to. Really fast service and great quality.

Bring your own writing utensils to stamp your message on the chalk board mural . ( please be kind , leave your mark in a positive note, dirty & profanity belongs in the trash ) Saturday night gets pretty hectic , line was long . We had a cold tea sample made of some concoctions of different fruit it was good , we asked if we can have it hot since we were waiting for our reservation next door at Gao

This is the OG boba tea spot for me & honestly, I haven't found one that matches them yet. They offer a variety of flavors as well as milk alternatives. The staff is always friendly & helpful & the ambiance inside is very straight forward & to the point. I love the brand colors as well as the pop of color that all of the signs & flavors add. If you're hanging around the Inner Sunset & craving a boba tea, then T Pumps is definitely the spot to serve up your fix.

It has been quite a while since I've been to Tpumps and they have definitely changed (appearance wise) in the past 5 years. The ordering is quite simple and all truly customizable. You can choose your size (tpumps or pumpo), iced or hot, up to 3 flavors (I got strawberry, peach, and lychee but they have so so many more flavors), milk or no milk, green tea or black tea, and what toppings you want. I got a tpumps iced with strawberry peach lychee green tea with no milk and lychee jelly. It was good! It wasn't revolutionary but it was good! The drinks came out FAST and I just felt like with the customizations, speed, and price is what makes tpumps a staple on irving.

I've been wanting to check it out since this is the original T-Pumps location and I used to go to the Cupertino location when I was in high school. The prices are not that cheap if you actually order a drink, although I appreciate the ability to customize by picking various flavors. I looked at their discount fridge, but at this point in the day, a little before 3pm, they only had one remaining of guava passion fruit black tea so I decided to nab it for $2.50. They do have samples available for one tea blend per day, though. Their drinks run very sweet by default, so you may want to water it down yourself if you're worried about the high sugar.

The place across the street had a crazy line so we went to Tpumps. No line. Their flavors are good, if not the most authentic. Their boba is a little on the stale side. I got one of the Rose milk teas with boba. It was fine. The best thing they did was when we ordered a regular sized Strawberry boba for our 2 kids, they offered to split it into 2 smaller sealed cups. That made sharing a smaller serving super easy.

First time trying Tpumps and wasn't disappointed!! Despite going pretty late at night, service was still good and the cashier was super nice. I ordered a brown sugar milk tea with boba. For regular sweetness, I enjoyed how it wasn't overly sugary and the boba was slightly sweet with a nice chewy texture. Would definitely order again!

Seeing/discovering local restaurants thrive and survive through the years is a wonder and grace to a community! It's local, it's affordable, it's a must try!

Asked for the employee's recs and decided on one of their top 10 drinks, the brown sugar lychee milk tea with boba. Drink was wayyyy too sweet and I got 25% sweet. For reference, I get 50% sweet at most boba places I go to. The boba was good though, nice and soft and flavorful. If I come again I'd probably go for one of their basic milk tea drinks and maybe try 0% sweet.

Appreciate their fridge with daily specials in case I just want to run in and run out. Parking is limited since it's street parking so sometimes I do a quick drink grab in the fridge to get on my way. Tpumps is just FUUUUN! i love the concept where they have all their flavors and toppings you can just make any combination you want. The quality isn't the best but it's just so fun.& they have TPumps Tuesday where you get a free large upgrade! and the large is HUGE

We tried this place a couple of times. Both times the line was pretty short, so we got lucky. The guy at the register was really nice. We ordered the regular boba milk tea, and the service was quick! We got it within a minute, since it wasn't busy. The cup was a regular but it was prolly 16 ounces, which was great. The boba was sweet, and the drink was delicious. My daughters both liked it a lot, even tho I got them 50% sugar. The place does not have seating, which I thought was a little odd, but definitely a good vibe! All and all, five stars!

First time here and I loved it overall! Not much seating but besides the main point...their drinks! They had a small fridge of daily specials for only $2.50! It varied from trumpo sized milk teas to fruit teas with no ice inside. Their trumpo (24oz) is really a large for me and a pumpbo(32 oz) is an X-large. I ordered a brown sugar matcha w/ whole milk and honey boba (less ice and normal sweetness) and I thought it was good. I do tend to like sweet things so it may be too sweet for others. Overall, good variety of drinks and has a helpful menu that shows popular drinks that you can choose from if your indecisive with your combination.

I recently visited Tpumps for some boba and was thoroughly impressed. The drinks were well made, allowing the taste of the tea to shine over the milk, which I particularly enjoyed. The boba were soft and freshly made. The service was quick and friendly.

3.5/5 stars for Tpumps. One thing that I like about Tpumps is their Tpumps Tuesday special. You can get a pumbo for $5, what a steal! I like the flexibility of the drinks that they offer and it's honestly great when you're craving a certain flavor. If you're a fan of chewy and bouncy boba, I recommend trying this place out. Ambiance is not the greatest. The walls used to be much cleaner and now it's filled with a lot of graffiti. Personally, I feel like this isn't appealing.

I finally got to try Tpumps! I actually didn't realize everything was customizable, which works in your favor if you don't like what you see on the menu. I like having a set menu because it shows that the place has really tried to craft their drinks. We ordered the Peach Rose Green Tea and Passion Fruit Tangerine Guava Green Tea. I got the Peach Rose Green Tea with 50% sugar and honey boba. The drink was a good amount of sweetness and the boba was chewy but it was on the looser side. The drink flavor itself was very refreshing, however I did not like the idea of having syrup as the flavoring of the tea. I feel like we have so many milk tea places now that use real fruits and flavoring. Tpump is probably one of the OGs in the city and it is very affordable! I wouldn't mind coming back again if I was near by.

They have really good quality bubble tea and I love the custom made flavors and how unique but enjoyable each one is. The order comes really fast, and the people who work there are really polite and helpful. I usually order the Peach Mango Passion Green Tea, and I put lychee jelly and two kinds of popping boba. I really like how they have some many choices and toppings, like four kinds of popping boba, because I haven't been to another boba shop that has SO many toppings. Also, they have T-Pump Tuesdays, where you get a FREE upgrade to a 32 ounce bubble tea! So, all in all, pretty amazing

Tpumps always has great boba. It's so chewy and soft, great texture. I always get extra boba in mine. I love that you are able to customize your drink however you want. They have a big variety of options available. I always get the strawberry, peach, mango black milk tea with very light sugar. Their drinks are really sweet, so I recommend getting less sugar. On Tuesdays, it's a free upgrade to a Pumpo size (32 oz). Such a great deal, but I can never finish their 32 oz cup. They recently raised their prices, but still very worth it for the size. There is basically no seating inside, but they are pretty fast with making your drinks.

Great boba and flavors that I've never even heard of or thought of before, wish the workers were a bit kinder or open to conversation because I did want to inquire about flavors but I felt uncomfortable asking; like as if I'd be bothering them or something. Other than that very tasty and filling teas!

- no indoor seating, they're pretty fast in taking orders and finishing them despite having a long line - interesting concept where you can choose up to 3 flavors to flavor your boba, pretty sure it's just flavored syrups though (note certain flavors cost more like matcha) - price comes with a free topping, but certain toppings cost extra - mango green milk tea: pretty good, mango and green milk tea flavors were both present - honey boba: nice and chewy - they have a variety of milk options for those of y'all lactose intolerant, only one of them costs extra - really sweet, probably because they use flavored syrups, so would recommending getting sugar a level down from your usual - tuesdays they upgrade your size for free - pretty worth for the price and especially if you go on tuesdays, but nothing mind blowing

I recommend getting the Raspberry Mango Black Milk Tea with 75% sweetness. I was really surprised at how much I liked the drink! I'm also happy that Tpumps has continuously kept their prices so low. I haven't gotten boba for $5 in a really long time. I'm not usually a huge fan of Tpumps but I was in the area and wanted a drink. I would definitely come back to Tpumps because of their prices! If you are able to figure out your favorite drink from this place, it can definitely be a good go-to spot. Boba spots in usually charge $6+ now!

For what it is which is very affordable boba in huge quantities, this place slaps. I can't remember the last time we've paid $10 for two bobas. Plus, its so soft! Like the softest boba ever. I really appreciate that they don't "force" you to tip upfront. 99% of boba shops present to you a screen to guilt you into tipping before you even try your drink (what if its really bad? No way of knowing). I got their most popular one which was Rose vanilla green milk tea and my partner got regular boba milk tea. I'm glad I got 50% sweetness because it was still pretty sweet.

I have been coming to Tpumps for many years and I still enjoy their drinks to this day! I've heard from other people that they think the drinks at Tpumps are watered down, but for me it hasn't been too much of an issue. What's great is that they still have their Tpumps Tuesday deal where you can upgrade to a Pumbo size (32 oz) for the price of a Tpumps size (24 oz). As of February 2023, the price is $5 for a Tpumps size and $6 for a Pumbo size, so you're saving a $1 off the larger size on Tuesdays! They also added other deals for other days of the week including Matcha Mondays and Hot Tea Thursdays where you can get the free upgrade to the Pumbo size! My go to order is a strawberry, passion fruit, and peach drink with black tea, milk, normal sweetness, boba, and less ice. I've recommended my drink to my friends and they also like the drink! I also get the rose and vanilla green milk tea which is one of their top customer drinks! Their boba is also soft and chewy too and is better to eat while it's still fresh. Occasionally, my drink can come out to be a little watered down, so I usually ask for less ice. Tpumps may not be everyone's favorite, but for me it's local and affordable and I like getting my usual drink whenever I want to satisfy my boba craving!

Please do yourself a favor and don't order your milk tea drinks here. I ordered a rose olong milk tea withb50% sweet n less ice. It tastes like sugar water with absolutely no tea flavor. Worst boba milk tea I ever had. I am throwing it away as I am writing this review.

Stopped by today for some drinks. On the board said new items, small boba. These are sagos. NOT boba Misleading. Anyway , asked for 25% sweetness but the drink is way too sweet or maybe it's 125% ? Ended up threw the drink away Will not be back

There's something to be said about consistency at a boba place, and Tpumps has nailed it! You can order something 10 times, and it will be the very same experience, through and through. A little bit about the boba itself: it's consistently got a bit of squishy give, and has a full body (if that makes sense). What I mean by that, is there's no slimy / mushy outer layer as with most boba places, and its *always* sweetened. Hence the name for the topping - honey boba! Sometimes it'll even taste a bit like burnt marshmallow, but only slightly. Point is - it's always sweetened, unlike lots of the other boba spots which fail to do so, or only sometimes manage to sweeten their tapioca pearls. The boba is usually pretty easy to chomp through, and has never been served undercooked or with a harder core, as some places do. At the register, Brendon made sure we were all taken care of, while swiftly moving through the line, per Tpumps fashion. Don't let the long lines scare you away here - these guys move through it quick. There's endless flavor combinations to choose from, and they will be happy to remake your order if you're not completely satisfied! That's a real testament to their commitment to deliver their customers an impeccable boba experience.

I've been a Tpumps fan for several years now. For my friends and me, it's a boba shop that brings back nostalgic memories. Although the quality of the tea, sweetness, and boba can be a hit or miss--we still enjoy coming here to get our fix! What I love about Tpumps is how many flavors they have available to mix and match to your liking. If you're overwhelmed by their options, I recommend trying their fan favorites menu! Whenever I come, I always order their fruit milk teas, which are always smooth, milky, sweet. Tonight, I ordered one of my favorites--Mango, Guava, Passionfruit Green Milk Tea with Light Sweetness, and Boba. Although I ordered my drink with light sweetness, I found it extremely sweet. The boba was very chewy and soft, and I wish they had given me more. As of right now, the inside of the shop is closed. You order your drinks at their counter and pick them up at their window. Drinks are cheap and come out fast!

Tpumps is a solid boba milk tea place, period. What I appreciate about Tpumps is consistency. When it comes to boba milk tea drinks, I'm very picky about my boba texture. Tpumps boba has always been soft, chewy, and perfectly cooked. I also appreciate the sweetness! I end up getting less sweet for my drink, and it's just the right amount of sugar in the end for me. With Tpumps comes variety as well. Now, if you love classic (milk) tea drinks, then this is probably not the place for you. It does taste relatively artificial, but that is at the expense of making the drinks very customizable. I don't usually come to get milk tea looking for premium quality drinks with authentic tea flavors anyway! The only comment that I have is that I did notice they increased their prices. I paid $5 for a regular drink with no add-ons or replacements. I had always appreciated Tpumps for being a bang for your buck, but now I am reconsidering how often I'll go here for boba with this price and if they keep increasing.

Food: drinks were pretty good, the price is too. One of the more original boba places. Service: ordering process is a little overwhelming, but the drinks come out quick. Ambiance: kinda bare, some cute stuff here and there.

My first ever visit to a Tpumps and it happens to be at this San Francisco location on Irving Street. I actually enjoyed my visit here, the staff was friendly and welcoming and the person who took my order was friendly as well. We ordered three drinks: *Iced Pumpbo Salted Caramel Coconut Black Milk Tea *Passion Fruit Tangerine Guava Green Tea *Guava Peach Green Milk Tea All the drinks were tasty and refreshing, full of flavor and good taste! The pricing was reasonable as well, $6 for an iced pump-bo which is their large size (32oz)! Most days a regular size is over $6 at other places, so this is a steal in my books! Took a star off because for first timers like me, the menu and ordering process can be a bit confusing, but they do have recommended drink flavors, or you can make your own combination. Would recommend trying Tpumps for sure. :)

Been coming to Tpumps for years now, and even though my tastes have changed, I still love it here! The value is unbeatable (especially on Tpumps Tuesdays!) Parking is always a hassle if you're not lucky, and the line is always out the door! Nonetheless service is super fast and don't keep you waiting. The variety you can get here is crazy! Your drink is what you make of it - all the different combination possibilities is what makes it fun for me :) I actually keep a note in my phone which I update to keep track of the different drinks I've had! I also always like to get some extra $2 leftover drinks they keep in the fridge to take home. Tpumps is always a nice treat to get when I'm in the area. Highly recommend!

Was overwhelmed by the expansive menu when I came in, but luckily the lady who took my order was helpful. I liked that she had a mic so I could hear her clearly. I ended up panicking and getting my go-to boba order - taro black tea with brown sugar boba. It was good! I wish the taro flavor was a little stronger and that it wasn't so watery. I was very full by the end of it all, and I don't know what contributed to it but it started tasting a little off about halfway through anyway. I'd like to come back and try and different drink.

You can't get bored of this boba spot when there's so many flavors to put together and make a new drink every visit or the same one that you may perfectly create all thanks to tpumps offering so many options of flavors and toppings

I ordered the chocolate cookie dough with light boba. The size I got was called Pumpo which was huge so I couldn't finish it. I would suggest getting the smaller size which is called the Tpump. It was surprising delicious! There's been times where I've been to boba places and the tapioca balls were hard or shriveled up - so nasty! But the tapioca balls here are perfect and have a great chew. My drink was pretty sweet but I like it like that. You always have the option of telling them how sweet you want it too. I definitely suggest coming here if you're craving a tasty boba drink. I like how they also have a wall you can draw on to keep you busy while you wait for your drink to be made.

I thoroughly enjoy finding a great boba spot. This place is a definite try if you want a good cup of boba. There drink was not too sweet which was a good thing. On top of that, the price for the portion was absolutely massive. It was around $6 for a 32 oz cup, one of the largest cups I've seen in a boba spot. They also had an insane amount of combinations you can make. You can create a bunch of combinations and their was a LOT of variety. For the price, portion, and taste, it was definitely worth it.

Not my first time here also not my last! If you don't already know, TPUMPS TUESDAYY (free upgrade to jumbo size where you save a dollar!! ) I ordered a Salted Caramel Black Milk Tea with Boba and boy was it sweet! I have a sweet tooth but wow, that was a tough one to get through! The boba tends to be more on the soft side which I personally prefer. I came around 7PM around peak hours and had to wait outside for a bit. The line went by quick so no complaints. Downsides would include: No pickup orders on Tuesday's! So you gotta show up!! Definitely coming back next Tuesday to order something different
