I've been in DTLA since 03/19 and am looking to upgrade to a community that offers a bigger bang for my buck. I love my current apartment complex, but in my search for better options, closet/storage space and proximity to the main metro area are two key factors. Trademark was able to offer me both and so much more.
I did a self-guided tour of Trademark, organized by Priscilla, and applied for a lease within the same day. Within the last two weeks, I've toured 6 comparable communities in-person and Trademark blew the competition out of the water. Here's what made Trademark special:
1. Luxury: every choice in the building is grandiose. It's important to note that the building is brand new (if you rent a unit now, you would be the first to occupy that space), so it's in pristine condition. The hallways on each level are extremely long and symmetrical, mimicking a hotel. The parking garage looks notably safe with tall, metal doors guarding the community (is it weird to say that the parking garage feels luxurious?!). The level that shares most of the amenities was lavishly breathtaking. Our favorite details of the amenity space were (1) the ping pong table as it seems most communities only have a pool table (Trademark has both) and (2) how the gym faces the pool area but is built so the glass doors in front of the cardio machines can fully open, making for an almost connected space between the gym and the courtyard. And for those who consider the ambience of the building based on the lighting, corridor paint, and color schemes, Trademark is mainly white and beige with brighter lighting. We are clearly about the details, but Trademark delivers.
2. Unique Spaces: of the three units we toured, each had their own special selling point that had us weighing out pros and cons for hours. For the 1-Bedroom A, the generous kitchen space was the focal point. For the Studio C, the floor plan was incredibly unique and unlike anything I've seen before, also noted to have the biggest walk-in closet of any unit in the entire community. For the U1-A, the spacious living room was a hard find for its price in DTLA.
3. Staff: there's so many good things to say about my impression of the team here. I've worked in retail management for over 6 years now, so I tend to be observant of customer service and how connected an employee is to their job. I have to firstly commend Priscilla for creating an impressionable experience. I will mention that on this particular day, I participated in 3 self-guided tours in DTLA and Trademark's gave me the feeling that the staff truly cared about the full experience.
We entered the lobby about 5 minutes before the scheduled time, and the lady at the desk welcomed us with energy, calling over Priscilla. We were individually greeted by each person working. Already prepared on the desk, there were 2 "Boxed Water"s, 2 pairs of gloves (for COVID-19 measures if we needed), and 3 pages outlining the exact path she wanted us to take throughout the community to experience each space in the smoothest order. Most of the community leasing agents I met with over the last couple weeks tended to forget the conversations I had with them over the phone or via e-mail once I met them, but Priscilla recalled every detail of our conversations. She clearly explained each unit we chose and what I could appreciate in each space to jog my memory. Upon returning to the lobby, I was greeted again by their team who were all (literally) jumping with excitement to find out which unit we liked best. As we left, they continued to talk amongst themselves about how exciting it was to hear how much we loved the place. I loved that!
Upon returning home, we were still debating the options. I even called Priscilla to ask if she had dimensions of each section of two individual rooms we were stuck between. Since she didn't have them on hand, she immediately went to the rooms, measured them herself, and sent them back to me. I appreciate how attentive this entire experience was.
Overall, the community was outstanding and hit every mark. We even realized we mistakenly didn't view the rooftop amenity space, but we still were blown away by the rest. This only gives us more to look forward to once we move in!
