It took some time but they finally repair the escalator going down. Not sure if they were aware but the stair were unsafe. It was difficult to see where the edge of the steps were as you walk down. I glad they finally fixed the escalator. Good selection prices have gone up for eggs and banana. Waiting for the next price increase. No mobile service in the basement apple wallet still works. 2024-05-24 Easy return had some spoiled lemon after a few days. Came in making my purchase and was able to return and deduct the difference from my purchase. Requires manager to process transaction.

Finally made a stop at Trader Joe's! The prices are fairly reasonable, offering great value for what you get. While the selections lean heavily towards their house brands, there's no denying the quality and variety on offer (I believe this is why it's so popular). Another pleasant surprise was the staff - kind and professional, adding a nice touch to the whole shopping experience. It's always a bonus when the service matches the quality of the products. Definitely worth a visit for anyone looking for good food at decent prices with friendly faces around!

Always a great experience - shelves are stock and organized. Can get very busy but efficient. I had Jessica assist me at check out on a quiet Sat night and she is the best! We had a nice conversation about the local communities, our lives, and goals in life. She is an absolute gem and other customers love her as well! Props to Jessica for a great check out to close a nice shopping experience.

Always a beautiful, healthy, looking lovely selection of flowers to greet you as you walk in off of the elevator. Staff is always helpful, upbeat and friendly and they always have stickers or lollipops for the little ones

I bought a watermelon today, it is impossible to eat. This watermelon can be fed only pigs on the farm. For it I paid $ 6. Seriously? And where did the eggs go? Is the store manager working or not?

1. They're located downstairs where cell service is scarce. 2. Elevator or escalator can get you to your destination. 3. Customer service is nice there. 4. There's security 5. It's always busy 6. It's a convenient location 7. I like this trader except for the fact I need to learn my lesson when buying the 3 pack croissants. Cost $3.99 a pack. - I love them but I've literally bought them like 20 plus times through the summer and fall and within a couple days (literally 2 days), they always mold it drives me nuts. MOLD. I have to to eat them really fast or my money is constantly wasted. I contacted trader Joe's with email and on Instagram about the issue but I was just ignored. No one ever responded at all. I guess they don't care. I've never seen any type of bread mold this fast. The only way to preserve them is to refrigerate or freeze them if you aren't going to eat them all in one setting but then they have to be thawed out or warmed up a tad which leads to them not tasting as well. I asked the employees at Trader Joe's about this and I was told it was a common complaint about this particular product. It's up to the company to do something about it. It's quite unfortunate. It's in the basement. It's convenient as long as you can find parking in the area. Stocked shelves like the rest of the locations. I asked in line for about 5 minutes. Pretty crowed, I spent $99.84, one bag of groceries, little to no meat... Trader Oh No'$$$, I mean Joe's

Trader Joe's needs to open a location closer to my apartment. Until then any Trader Joe's will definitely be visited. This location is in a neighborhood that I mainly visit in September. I'm in Little Italy and Chinatown taking a lot of photos and eating all day. By the time I check for my favorite grocery items I am ready to grab them, check out and head home. I can say it's well stocked and full of helpful employees. They have the check out well organized. I really wish I could eat everything they offer. It's still selling my favorite spinach. It's a great neighborhood to spend time then buy groceries before heading home. I'm recommending they put a TJ's like this one up north around East 96th Street! Until then I will stop at any location I happen to be close to at the moment.

We began going here once or twice/month several months after I wrote my last update, because there were an increasing number of items which are only available at Trader Joe's and they're too tempting to go without. As with my previous comments, the staff at this store are always SUPERB. I've always complimented the managers about the terrific employees and I'm continually impressed with that wonderful aspect. I can't remember any other store where I've encountered always-terrific employees, and it certainly makes the shopping experience a pleasure at this store.

We've started coming to this Lower East Side Trader Joe's a lot more since it's just a short walk from Chinatown when we come down to visit my sister on Sundays. We'll get some of our food shopping done before we go for dim sum, so we're pretty hungry while we're shopping. It's located on the basement level, accessible by escalator & elevator, so do your Yelp check-in before you descend into the bowels, because there's zero signal down here. When you get to the bottom, grab a shopping basket, one of the traditional TJ's red shopping carts or as I prefer the two-tier short radius turn carts to whip around corners faster. There's really no need for that though because the aisles here are really wide and it does not feel crowded. All the standard TJ's food items (frozen & fresh) like meat cheeses, produce, bread, chips, snacks & beer are well stocked. We always get bananas because nowhere else will you find them for $0.19 each. Just pick out the biggest ones for the same price. All the different product categories are arranged in rooms in sort of islands due to the weird floor plan, wrapping around the central foundation core of the apartment building above. The big difference with TJ's in Manhattan and the ones in the suburbs is that they have fewer selections for plant products like fresh flowers, potted plants and seasonal decorations around the holidays. And there's no parking lot. Otherwise, most everything else is the same, including standardized prices. As you work your way around back to the beginning, the checkout line can get pretty long, but it is managed very well. There are 2 queues with a TJ's associate standing on top of a box assigning you to a cashier that waves their number. There are a ton of island checkout counters to get you out faster and the cashier will pack up your groceries for you. Don't forget to bring your reusable shopping bags!

Good location. Even though the lines waiting for checkout are long sometimes, but it's moving very fast. The cashier are friendly.

I have mixed feelings about this particular Trader Joe's. I love Trader Joe's in general - the product offerings, the art, the seasonal selections - and most of the people who work there are so friendly and helpful. All of that was still true here, but there were just some things that really irked me. After you descend the escalator and head into the store, the first thing you notice is that it's huge. There is so much space. The aisles might be double the width of some of the other stores. I wasn't there at peak time, but I imagine that even then it's manageable. But the layout here just doesn't make sense. Other than dairy, you have to go through all the cold and frozen food before you get to the bulk of the non-perishable stuff. The meat is the furthest thing from the registers. Frozen food is usually the last thing I want to get before joining the line, but here, it's inconvenient if you want to get refrigerated and frozen stuff last because it would mean a lot of walking in circles and wasting time. They were out of a lot of things when I went recently, but with the supply and worker shortages, I'm definitely not holding that against any of the stores these days. But the produce that day was more hit-or-miss than usual or what I've found at other TJ's (which is sometimes questionable on produce to begin with). Every package of zucchini felt old or had mold, and every single yellow onion was dented. I couldn't find one avocado that I actually thought would ripen evenly. I don't know if it was storage on the warehouse end because of all the issues these days or this particular store, but it was kind of disappointing. Also, because they're in the cellar, I had no phone signal and there was no wifi. This store is probably a 3.5* for me, but I'm rounding up to 4* because the people are so nice, and having the space to shop is just such a positive. There are some others I still like better (like Soho or Chelsea). I would come here again if in the area though, especially since getting my grocery shopping done is a great excuse to stop by the Doughnut Plant down the block.

The black cashier girl W, Twanisha needs to be fire or reeducate on what customer service meant. She got a serious attitude problem. Was super rude to me for no reason, especially when I pointed out that she misunderstand me. No conversation skills at all, did not greet me when I went up the cash register and no thank you at the end of the transaction. The dude directing the line is also an awkward individual, wouldn't even look at you when directing you to the cash registers. I also believe the cashier was discriminating against me being an Asian. Not the first time I experienced mistreatment and discrimination at Trader Joes. If you are Asian, you won't get good service from black / older cashiers, these folks hate their jobs and would express their frustration toward the customers they deemed "not a threat" to them. I used to go to Trader Joes like 2-3 times a week but since these cashier mistreatments, I been going there less and less. Yall can read the Google reviews on Trader Joe's at this location. So many of these cashiers at this particular location has an attitude problem and mistreat minority customers. Isn't customer service what trader joe pride itself on? Trader Joe's might as well just install self check out machines like the Targets above this location. Would solve the unionizing issues. Carmen the cashier needs a corporate promotion!!!! I had a terrible time with my card and she waited all the while for me to go upstairs so my cell service would let me transfer money. She met me with nothing but patience & assistance. All in all, the Cashiers Carmen and John make shopping at this location super smooth & pleasant and should be rewarded.

What a hidden gem. It is the biggest Trader Joe ever and I don't know why I was going to the one on 14th St. thinking it was big. This is closer to me and it's also next to a target and other stores I could shop. The line was the shortest ever in a big selection of food even after hours.

The food is good the place is clean and for the most part the employees are friendly but you will find one or the two of the employees Miserable human beings, when you bring something to their attention they act like you are bothering them.

Who doesn't like Trader Joe's I mean their prices are not bad, they also have some interesting items. The only thing I don't like is there is always a line to get in even if you go early! Once you get into the door there's a girl that greets you with hand sanitizer if you want to have some sprayed on your hand, which is nice of them I guess due to covid. This location is very clean and has a bathroom, it's located downstairs! Check out line moved pretty fast which was good. Some items that I liked were the soft pretzels, Korean short ribs for $10 is a bargain and taste good, their turkey was very juicy and not dry. The tomato and cheese gnocchi was also good. The scalloped potatoes was not good I think they put carrots in there which tasted weird. Their hot chocolate spoons were ok it's dark chocolate which was a little bitter for my taste because I do like milk Chocolate better.

New TJ's locations keep opening, and the crowds keep coming. The appetite for great snacks and inexpensive groceries can't be understated, especially when the price difference between this and the alternatives is significant. What's great about this one is the huge aisles so you don't feel as cramped as you would at say, the 6th avenue location or the original in Union Sq. The lines move quickly as well, as they always do. The shelves can get wiped clean out by day's end, as they do at all the shops, so if you have the luxury of shopping mid day, mid week, that is going to be the advantageous move.

Convenient location in the LES and downstairs from Target...Was difficult to get in with the long lines for a few months since the pandemic began and the first hour hour is dedicated for vulnerable guests daily. It is now back to Wed & Saturday. Appreciate all the staff keeping it safe and promoting social distancing within Trader Joe's. Masks are required for all staff and customers. Not as crowded if you go early. With the plastic bag ban, paper bags are 5 cents per bag... Fairly spacious inside and easy to find most items as usually stocked...but busy during the weekends unless one goes early. Check out is pretty quick.

It's a bit of a hike but if you're in this area, it's totally worth the trip. The location is decently sized with 2 levels, the store was clean and selection is definitely better than you'll find in some smaller locations. I came here when I happened to be in the area and was pleased with my experience. Not sure I'd make a special trip but if you're in the area, it's a great find.

While this is the trader joes that i frequent the most, some of their staff is incredibly rude. I recall an employee loudly saying to another employee an unwelcomed comment about me while i wore my headphones and was trying to pick out a box of strawberries; basically loudly judging me for trying to find a better box of strawberries when there was onlt 5 boxes left. This employee thought that I didn't hear the comment, but i did and everyone else around did as well. This location should do better at hiring and training their staff because that was poor customer service and created such an unwelcoming environment. I was disgusted with that persons attitude and i have never experienced anything similar at other TJ locations

The staff here could teach a master class on customer service: they are bubbling with enthusiasm and knowledge about their products. (Minus those two dudes who kept flirting with each other and couldn't be bothered with a customer like me.) There's all sorts of online guidance on optimizing Trader Joe's that you can find. But to me, some of the best deals include: organic bananas (they do so much volume!), the organic baby lettuces (long lasting!), and other veggies. I'm not a huge fan of their hummus, but my mom loves it. I am a fan of their spices, like the furikake. I also find deals on unsalted nuts. As for frozen or processed items, I love the frozen desserts (everything from macaroons to lemon bars) and prepared meals. Not gonna lie, I also enjoy those Scandy Swimmers. All in all, this is a great store. The lanes are wide and the lines move quickly.

When I wasn't feeling well, workers by the cashiers helped me very nice. I can't forget how nice to me. after I rest, I felt a little better. they also let enjoy shopping after the business hrs. I didn't have to rush... Although one time I was told from mean employe "mom! The store is closed NOW! Mom!" The manager was just popping up and finding out what I was told. He told me"you can shop :) "

This is the best Trader Joe's I've ever been to. Despite it's location in the city, it's simply gynormous. It's located on the bottom level below Target. There's no shortage of product selection. You'll find just about everything a Trader Joe's can offer here. And the prices seemed to be about the same. Not only that.. there's no shortage of wide open space for walking throughout this location. It's definitely not crammed in here unlike other ones I've been to. Add to that the three long rows of cash registers at check-out. Not all of them were operating, but the wait in line took just a couple minutes. Also, our clerk was very friendly.

Trader Joe's offers a variety of products from flowers to soap to snacks and more for a decent price. The staff here are always super nice and helpful! Don't forget to bring your reusable bags or you'll be looking at 5 cents a bag (which isn't too bad). If you're trying to find parking around the area, its really difficult but if you're willing to drive a little further and walk I'm sure you'll be able to find a spot!

Largest TJ's Ever!! As of the opening of this Trader Joe's, this is the largest ever in terms of square footage besides one in Arizona. Weekends are generally not a good time to goto a Trader Joe's in NYC. It's not that the shelves are a mess, it's more so the long lines that are a huge deterrent for me. Back when there were fewer TJ's and Union Square was the only one, I only went first thing in the morning to avoid the lines. The makeshift checkout line that snakes around the store makes waiting online incredibly annoying to wait and shop alike. This TJ's has more real estate and that's all that really matters.

I am delighted that they've finally opened a location in the Lower East Side! Welcome to downtown, TJ's! After searching for the best blue cheese dressing online, I found out that Trader Joe's roquefort blue cheese dressing was listed as Top 1! It consists large pieces of chunky blue cheese in the dressing. I immediately went to Trader Joe's the next day just for that and I'm thankful to the friendly staffs who helped me find the dressing. It was so flavorful and delicious! All the products here were displayed so nicely that it was really hard to resist splurging on a bunch of stuff that I don't need. And the prices were pretty cheap too. For example, $2.99 for a bottle of TJ's Habanero Hot Sauce. I believe the Sweet Chili Sauce was on discount going for $1.99? The only thing I didn't like about it here was the lack of network and Wifi.

Happy New Year First review in 2019 Trader Joe's has taken over the NYC Metro area. Latest one is on 400 Grand Street. Make every attempt to visit as many Trader Joe's and this one is definitely not to be missed. It's the largest Trader Joe's in the East Coast. *Couple of things about this store. -You might walk pass by this Trader and not know it's there. Store is located on Grand Street and corner of Clinton. Notice traffic guard directing cars (going to Williamsburg Bridge) as well as pedestrian crossing street to Trader Joe's. Target is also located in building. Take escalator downstairs. See Essex Crossing painted on wall as you head down. -Shopping again is a pure joy. No hands grabbing in front or above with items falling on you. You can relax and enjoy shopping for a change. Aisles are wide enough that you can parallel park three carts next one another. -Above frozen area, there is a stand to view new products. -More stocked items at this store. Tons of register to check out with Can always flag down someone for assistance and they will find the answer to your question. Will definitely be back here again to shop.

Great, convenient location - LES needed a TJ's! Not to mention it's right below a small format Target. Compared to other TJ's in the city (UWS, Union Sq, etc.) this one has a lot more space and it's definitely a lot less crowded. Check-out lines never get too crazy and I don't ever get as frustrated as I usually do at the other locations. Only problem is that since it's in "the cellar" aka the basement, you're lucky if you get any cell reception down there.

I've been going to Trader Joe's most my life. When I first moved to New York, to get a "taste of home," I had to find excuses to get friends with cars to take road-trips with me to Scarsdale or Westport or Hicksville, so I could load up on groceries. But when Trader Joe's started opening up around NYC, I suddenly lost a lot of enthusiasm, because their original 14th street is entropic, then their 71st and broadway location (right next to my apartment, should have been a dream come true) was nightmarish! And so on and so forth. The aisles were just too close together. There just wasn't enough space. Ten thousand things were stacked on top of ten thousand other things, employees trying to restock shoving customers around, customers shoving other customers around. The only calm time to shop is right before closing, when of course inventory is completely depleted; what's the f--ing point! Yadda yadda yadda, THIS is easily my favorite location of Trader Joe's, the greatest I've ever been to. Because not only do cookies and crackers and beers have their own easily accessibly wide aisles where everything is all in one place rather than randomly strewn around the store chaotically requiring stressful wrangling and wrestling, but there's a movie theater upstairs, there's a TARGET upstairs, there are two different food courts upstairs, and there are tons of amazing Chinese restaurants nearby. Even though this location is the furthest in Manhattan from where I live, somehow, including the subway round-trip, it's still by far the most pleasant experience overall.

Target and TJs in the same building? What's not the love. Stopped by here for some snacks and quickly realized it's pretty much the same as my neighborhood store but with very large aisles. Plenty of registers to check out. Same TJs quality!

This is a wonderfully large location and its attached to a target- what more could you want!? Don't come on a Sunday night, as most things are out of stock or have been severely picked through. It's amazing to me what great shape the store clerks can get this place back to in a matter of a day however, as mid afternoon on a Monday, it's almost all back together! You also won't get cell service down here and there is no wifi. So- if you are waiting on an important text on which type of cheese you need for that one dish you were planning on making- better wait upstairs until you get everything you need to begin your TJ's grocery shopping journey. 4/5

This Trader Joe's is spacious! Lots of room between the isles for everyone's shopping carts. I came here with my sister and her husband we had our own carts and didn't get into each other's ways. There was a lot of empty shelves but I'm pretty sure it was because of the 4th of July holiday but employees were out stocking. Store is very clean.

I come to this place every weekend for grocery shopping. They have all the groceries I need and a variety of healthy choices. All of them are fresh, and the price is reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

I shop at this Trader Joe's literally every week and I'm a die hard fan! First off, Trader Joes employees are always so nice. They greet you with a smile and are always helpful when you need to find something. This store is pretty spacious and it does not feel cramped, despite there being a lot of shoppers. Trader Joes is very popular and certain items can run out if you go later in the day, so go the earlier the better! If you ever see a long line wrapped around the building and trailing down the block, don't be deterred. It moves fairly quickly and you'll be in the store in no time. Great service, delicious foods, affordable prices...what more can you ask for?

I absolutely love this store, and the ability to purchase healthy food options at an affordable rate. It's become my go-to on the LES for everything from coffee to produce. The staff members are all incredibly friendly, and if you're ever in search of anything or have a question they're willing to take the time to chat. You can find some really cool products here, particularly if you're on a special (i.e. vegetarian, etc.) diet. Some of my favorite products are the kale and yogurt-based dip, the tomato basil hummus, everything but the bagel crackers, the Southwest salad, and all of the fresh produce selections are amazing. The apples in particular are superb. You can also pick up low-cost gift cards, naturally based skincare items/sunscreen, and cool gifts for friends. Highly recommended!

The latest Trader Joe's to open probably. It's in a location near where I grew up and the place has changed a lot. This is probably the hugest TJ yet, and probably my new go to when I have an unlimited metrocard. The aisles are so huge, that I don't get that claustrophobic feeling like I do at the Chelsea location. Very helpful workers as usual. I tried the chocolate croissant after seeing it on a website and didn't realize it had to be proofed for 9 hrs. I guess I didn't look at the box because it definitely states that clearly on the front. Well, it's worth the wait cause it final product comes out just like fresh baked from a expensive bakery. Crispy on the outside and soft and flaky on the inside. So yummy.

New huge Trader Joes in the L.E.S. More space to walk. More space to browse. Shelves are stocked. But towards the end of the night, fresh veggies items start to disappear. Staff is helpful. Lines are fast and short most of the time. This is how a grocery store should run if you're shopping in NYC.

Trader Joe's! There's no butternut squash mac and cheese available when I went. Tear drop. All the snacks and other frozen goods are though! Thanksgiving themed and flavored foods are in store. Stuffing flavored potato chips! Beer and wine available as well. Tuesday night wasn't too busy but there was hustle and bustle all the time. This was the most spacious Trader Joe's I've ever been to. With Target upstairs, you can't find a better combination.

Great and spacious Trader Joe's location in the city! They had everything for your grocery needs and are located right under a Target which is super helpful. They also have coffee samples next to the bulk ground coffee station, love it!

I almost don't want to write this review for fear of jinxing it... but this has to be the BEST TJ'S IN THE CITY! Imagine everything you hate about the 14th street location NO LONGER A PROBLEM and everything you love about TJ's SUPERSIZED! Biggest location in Manhattan hands down. Single-floor layout (unlike the UWS location) with no need to leave your basket in line while you run back and forth to grab things along the way. Weekday after work. No problem. Weekend middle of the day. No problem. This might change a little once word spreads, but we'll see. PLUS, there's a Target right upstairs! Two birds, one stone for all your home shopping needs.

I love Trader Joe's! I'm glad they opened one in the lower Manhattan and slowly expanding to more areas. They have so many great selections as well as very affordable organic items.

I have to say that this is one of my favorite locations to shop when I need Trader Joe's. I think it is conveniently located in the basement which is quite spacious, the lines are not atrociously long, the staff is polite and helpful, and it really has a great selection. There is also a bathroom which is very comforting because sometimes you need one and some supermarkets don't have them. I am so happy with this addition to the Lower East Side. This area was really like a supermarket desert without any good choices for healthy food options that were also affordable.

This Trader Joe's is the best one I've been to except that I'm surprised that they didn't build in a wine shop with all the space that they have. The store is very generous with walking room. During the day, it feels so empty and there is only 1 or 2 people in the line at most times. The staff are very friendly and even more friendly than other sites. The only thing is that the selections goes fast. While the stock is great, depending on when you go the stock may be out. I'm sure they will restock quickly though but I guess it's all about timing. The place is clean, well organized, lots of selection, friendly staff. overall it's a great place to shop for food.

If you're wondering what the difference between Trader Joe's and Whole Foods is, I've made a short comparison: Whole Foods: pricey, larger selection, better produce Trader Joe's: actual human beings with personalities work here Plus, the vegan options are plentiful and well labeled.

I came here on a Thursday around 2:30pm. This store is super spacious, clean, and just amazing. Where are all the people? I don't know, and I don't care. All I know is they're not at this Trader Joe's, and it's awesome. I normally go to the UWS location, which is insanely packed all the time, with cramped aisles that are tight to navigate. This location is quite the contrast. All the normal, great prices that Trader Joe's always provides. Plus a more relaxed and spacious shopping experience. This location is so far from where I live, but I'm tempted to come here more regularly just for the quiet calm shopping and quick check-out. Don't tell your friends. Let's try to keep one unspoiled location. Shhhh! I assume it can't stay like this forever, so I'll enjoy it while it lasts, and when it's over I'll look back on it fondly and reminisce about the peaceful shopping I used to have.

TJ locations with extra high ceilings, like the one by 23rd Street or the ex-bank one on Atlantic Ave give a sorely needed illusion of space or at the very least, something to look at/pray to as you wait in a never-ending line. Like the TJ in Boston, this location requires an escalator to descend into the basement-level grocery store, but what it lacks in height it more than makes up in ~sprawl~. I've heard from others that this location is the largest in NYC and I don't doubt that. From the well-stocked shelves to the extra-wide aisles, it's clear that this TJ is of a different caliber.

Today at Trader Joe's - 400 Grand Street Today was by far the worst experience I've ever had at Trader Joe's. I shop at this location every Wednesday or Thursday depending on my schedule. This is the closest most convenient to my apartment. I was told to go to register 2. As I approached the register the cashier Emile said nothing to me, just started unloading my cart. I wasn't wearing headphones or anything. I always remove my headphones when I approach the register as I find it extremely rude. I stood there in shock and awe as my cart was being unloaded and items being scanned with no acknowledgement. No acknowledgement, no eye contact NOT A SINGLE WORD TO ME.... Emile did however have a full conversation with the cashier in front of us Lauren. They spoke about her time away from the store, someone that recently got transferred to a store in the 90's which according to Emile " was good for him because he lives in Yonkers" They also mentioned watching Star Wars. Pull the cameras and watch this interaction or lack there of. After my groceries were bagged and my total appeared on the screen I wasn't asked how I was paying, he just kept talking. After I paid by card, he just held out the receipt. I said " Thank you" which he replied with NO WORDS..... I don't know if my appearance had anything to do with his silence and rude manners. I'm a young black professional in gym gear as I just finished working out. I and many people choose Trader Joe's due to the knowledgeable and friendly staff. My experience today was unacceptable and inexcusable and something should be done. I'm more than willing to speak to a person with authority about this experience. One of the only few good things about the gentrification of my neighborhood. Good sized store with all the usual fabulous snacks and chocolate yummies. And the insanely enthusiastic staff!! Does not replace the 22- aisle Pathmark where the One Manhattan Plaza luxury condo now sits but still ... So glad they are here.

This is my favorite TJ's in New York idk why. Maybe it's the sort of one-way, mazey but huge and spacious layout. I just enjoy getting lost in there and having space to run back and forth around the store, lol. :) felt spacious and like there were very few people on a Saturday night! Makes for an enjoyable, non-stressful shopping journey :P

TJ at this location is extremely organized and neat, very easy to find stuff I need, definitely recommend.

I like any Trader Joe's.. you pretty much know what they all have, but I liked how this store had more variety to choose from then the one in Valley Stream which is closest to my home. Went to pick up some jam for my mom, she loves the strawberry one at TJs. I always choose items with the fewest ingredients without any chemicals if possible for my family. Trader Joe's obviously has a lot of highly processed food, but you just have to read labels to avoid them. My only disappointment, I couldn't find those Vegetable masala burgers. I always get at least 2 packages of them whenever I'm at any TJs. It's not healthy but it's so good I don't even care if I don't have meat. They only had 3 bags left of the chicken dumplings, so we bought the rest! I also got 4 cans of cat food, not sure if my picky cats will eat them, but at .79 each for the regular sized cans, it's literally a bargain compared to what I've been paying for at my local supermarket and at Chewy/Petco. I didn't get the one with ocean fish since it had rice and my girls usually eat grain-free, with the best ingredients that I can afford. I also bought a baguette, some ham and Wisconsin cheese and I made 2 gourmet sandwich late at night. Added some balsamic vinegar and mayo, it was delicious... Always love trying different cheeses, it's so affordable but I can never finish it quick enough before it gets moldy.

Came here on a sat around 3pm. It's not crowded like other Trader Joe's and it's very spacious! I wish every trade joe's is like this one :)

This is a very good Trader Joe's. I was told you could come here with two small children, push your own cart, while your children push THEIR carts and still have room to be pushed by an adult, children, and THEIR carts with plenty of room. "Oh, we'll see about THAT," I crowed, and then went to the largest Trader Joe's on the east coast (seriously! that's what it is!) and about halfway through the produce section said to my roommate, "I have to go, I'll be right back," and stood in line for 10 minutes for the restroom so I could come down from a mild panic attack. It was Sunday and I was filled with dread about work (I don't work a 9-5 anymore), gas (I don't drive in NYC), and general ennui at the weekend ending. So yeah, this Trader Joe's is too big and not my cup of tea. I will play roulette with my regular store, as I prefer to pick up certain items if they might not be sold out. It keeps life exciting! But this store well-organized, well-stocked, the employees are helpful and friendly, and the selection of everything, from groceries, produce, snacks, to frozen food, beverages, and beer was outstanding.
