I love this new Trader Joe’s. It’s clean, spacious and the staff is super friendly and efficient. I bought some roses but upon getting home a few of the heads fell off when unwrapping them. I had just had a friend go into hospice and was feeling very emotional and something about those roses falling off the stem just broke my heart so I wrote a little letter to the customer service portal and the manager called me back and was super sweet and kind and told me to come in and pick out any bouquet that I wanted on the house. I picked out one today and the customer service desk folks had been given a heads up that I was coming and were so lovely and warm. I was already a fan but now I am a super fan. Thanks TJ’s!

The captain tonight was great! She bagged so incredibly fast (while making conversation!) I didn’t catch her name. The line stretched to the baking section and STILL the cashiers got me in and out in 15 minutes. Pretty heroic! Good selection too, considering how much traffic they get.

Genuinely kind and helpful staff 💚 I went in there because my phone unexpectedly ran out of battery around the area and I still had 1.5 h walk using Google maps. (Being a visitor). Staff was very understanding and kind. They immediately allowed me to charge my phone. It took 45 min until it was ready for an uninterrupted navigation again. Thank you, Trader Joe’s team! Forever grateful for your indelible humaneness 🙏🏻

Everything is delicious and beautifully served at One Waan. Chef Alex is a master. My husband and visiting family members always enjoy going there and enjoy each bite. We've been going steadily with neighbors for about 3 years. It's our go to for excellent Thai food.

I've been consistently impressed with the quality of food I bring home from this Trader Joe's. It has completely replaced Safeway as my regular grocery store and I feel that the food I have been eating lately has been more varied, of higher quality, and has cost me less per meal than shopping at Safeway.

This is my favorite Trader Joe's store in the city!! It has ample space for you to shop without bumping cards or elbows with others. Every time I've been to this store there hasn't been a line at all and no more than 10 people in the store 🥳 The facility is very clean and well kept. I've noticed that a lot of other trader Joe's have poor produce, the produce rots within days of buying it. Not at this store it doesn't!!

Huge underground parking garage. So glad this opened up in the neighborhood, really big space for a Trader Joe’s. Been waiting years for this.

I am under 200 lb for the first time in over a decade and I owe it all to poverty. Fun fact: If you have the Gyoza Potstickers for every single meal, it costs less than $2 per meal and a loss of your sanity. But in San Francisco that's the sacrifice you make to afford to live near a Trader Joe's.

In terms of Trader Joe's locations, this is definitely towards the top of my power rankings. This location opened up this year, and in an area without a bunch of reasonable super market type options, it's a great addition. Especially since it's walking distance from my family's place. Everything here is organized and spread out perfectly so you never feel cramped. The lines are efficient and the staff here is friendly and welcoming. If you are a Trader Joe's chef like myself, they've made eating a joke a breeze with their pre packaged items and snacks. If you haven't tried the cookies and cream pretzels, you're missing out. The kimbab and pork couple dumplings are stables for our fridge along with the sour Scandinavian swimmers for a sweet treat. The chicken and tuna salads are also great for a quick sandwich meal. In an era where groceries seem to be skyrocketing, I feel like the money I spend at Trader Joe's goes a long way. The parking situation is easy since they have a parking garage located under the store. It's a little tight, so driving my truck in gets a lil cramped but I make it work.

5 stars for this location. But I'm really writing this to complain. I wrote the First Review the day this store opened. Somehow my review went poof into Yelp abyss. I know, 1st world not even a problem, but lost all motivation to participate in this hustle for dubious status. Thanks for reading my rant.

4.5 stars! Only reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because the parking lot below is super slippery when wet! As in, your car will actually skid! So please be careful! Besides that, probably the best and biggest Trader Joe's I've been to! Staff is always friendly and kind. Never a long wait, even if line is long!

One of my coworker friends who lives in the East Bay asked me a very peculiar question on our way to this new TJ location the other day. "Is there no Trader Joe's in San Francisco? Why is everyone getting so excited about Trader Joe's opening in Hayes Valley?" While I don't claim to know why everyone else is excited, I can at least explain why I personally am excited about this particular opening. Top 2 reasons: Location and Access. While SF has many restaurants and Hayes Valley is certainly not lacking in that department, I can't think of any large grocery store within walking distance of this neighborhood. Maybe Lucky's. But that's nearer Alamo Square. Also, there is planned closure of Safeway in edge of Hayes Valley, Japantown area, so I (and many others) certainly appreciate the timeliness of this TJs opening to fill that void. The other stores like WholeFoods is more towards Pac Height, which as you know is not that near either. The accessibility to fresh grocery is important to a neighborhood. TJ is a mix of convenience foods and specialty snacks as well as more basic food items at reasonable prices that help bridge the needs of the variety of individuals that live in this neighborhood with different economic backgrounds. For these reasons, I'm excited about the opening of this TJs. And the fact that I can now walk to a store during lunch is awesome. Service and ambiance really nice on recent visit. Tip: actual entrance is on Laguna while their official address is on Fulton.

After years of waiting, there's finally a Trader Joe's in Hayes Valley!! I stopped by this weekend to get some groceries and a tote bag, and I had a really pleasant experience. Walking in, I was pretty shocked by how spacious it was inside. All the aisles were spaced out and well stocked. There was a decent amount of staff on site, the store was well organized, and the checkout line was pretty short. I've been to three other Trader Joe's locations in the city (downtown, Nob Hill, Masonic), and this is now my favorite.

Great new Trader Joe's, just opened in May. Was so lucky to find the viral mini canvass bags after work. Really made my day. Staff were friendly and very welcoming. Includes a car park but very tight and no clear signs as to how to exit. Overall, lovely to see another TJ opening.

I called here ahead of time to confirm if they take food stamps and I was told the did so I walk 20 minutes or so here and it's in a nice are there is lots of people here this store is small but they have good stuff I got enough to fit in my own bag I only spent $40 for like 10 items not bad they charge for bags so bring your own this place is clean great customer service

Shopped at this Trader Joes on our latest trip in San Francisco. Nice market just like the ones we have at home. This store is much bigger with alot of fresh produce and meats. I found everything I wanted and needed. Parking was hell, lol if you cannot beat the crowds. I really love how they have the stores set up. Nice staff and friendly people working the whole shopping center.

I will always welcome a new Trader Joe's location, especially since this one is a bit closer to me! Friendly staff per usual, and all of their classic food & goodies. Grand opening today, it was lively (maybe too lively haha, news crew & everything). So glad to have another TJ's in SF!

I decided to go to Trader Joe's instead of Safeway and I am glad I did. The food here is cheaper than at Safeway and has a wider selection of food. The service was very friendly and the ambience of the place was great. I saved $90.00 shopping here. I highly recommend shopping there.

Congrats on opening one in this neighborhood. Definitely needed. Parking downstairs is available. One way in and one way out. Narrow opening.im sure there's more people who walk there. Staff was super helpful. They have everything. Kimpap. Tres Leche. Boil seafood. First time I heard they limit certain items.

I love this grocery store! It opened only a couple of weeks after I moved to Hayes Valley. This large new location offers a great selection of snacks and cooking staples. I especially love their selection of vegan cheeses. The staff are always friendly and attentive. Trader Joe's is known for their above and beyond custom service, and this location is no exception. I hope the store can remain as sparkling clean as it is now!

I was shopping with my child and encountered a very rude cashier. She never greeted us even though we said hello. As we always do we bagged our own groceries and the cashier asked us rudely if we are going to pay as if we were going to run away. I told her i am putting the last produce in the bag and was going to get my wallet out. She even left her post to chase after us. This is such a crazy experience. I complained to the manager on duty all she said is, ok we'll talk to the cashier. No apology or acknowledgment. TJ train your team more so the managers. You are located in a very diverse neighborhood so be respectful to your customers.

Christopher delivered top notch service! He made sure the LOONGGG Sunday checkout line moved quickly and rung us up with speed and was super helpful.

Sometimes out of goods but generally I like shopping grocery at this place. Their staff are very friendly and helpful as well.
