Tradycja Polish Fusion Cuisine

It's a cute Cafe. You wouldn't know it's there unless you're into or from the Polish community. My friend took me there for my birthday .The service was great. The food was excellent. I had the special that day ,flank steak with the salad and I thought they said fried potatoes not knowing that was french fries which were overdone,but the steak and the salad were excellent. My friend had the pork chop dinner and I must say the pork chop was as big as the plate. We also shared pierogies and potato pancakes which were so yummy!. We ended our dinner with warm Earl Gray tea, a shot of cherry vodka. I had the apple cake which was scrumptious and my friend had the cheesecake which was I'm sure just as yummy.

When we walked in the lights were low and there was a unique ambience. The food was solid and seemed authentic. The chicken was crisp and the potatoes had a nice starchy texture. The goulash was rich and paired really well with the potato pancakes. Nice to have at least one eastern European style restaurant in the area.

The food is very healthy. I like the service staff very much. They are very enthusiastic. I said I didn't want to drink alcohol，so they made me a very delicious drink. It was also very beautiful. The food was served very quickly and was very particular. It felt like a Michelin star⭐，I liked it very much. The environment was very comfortable and the music was very relaxing. I like the duck legs very much. They were very fragrant and tender, and paired with cherry sauce. The dumplings were also very special. Although this was my first time trying them, I like such dumplings very much. The taste was simple, the ingredients were clean, and the taste was rich with spices. The beef sandwich was a large portion. The beef was very tender and well handled. There was no fishy smell. The children liked it very much. This place is very suitable for me who wants to lose weight. There is no excessive oil, it is refreshing and delicious.

Food here is very authentic European and very healthy and delicious. I loved the goulash and the sour soup, the lemon and the cherry vodka and the pistachio cheesecake was amazing. Very hearty meat and potatoes food is great on the cold days. Cute, wooden European themed vibe with kind waitresses. Wish this place was closer to home would go here often. This place is very nicely decorated. Our food overall was good, definitely get the smoked cheese appetizer, it was excellent!!! Some things to consider, if you order the baked potatoes with sheep cheese there isn't cheese that's topped on them, I inquired specifically with the waitress about it and she said it's part of the seasoning that they use on the potatoes. You will not see any cheese or will they have a cheese taste. They have good flavor, but definitely not cheese in any way. My husband ordered pierogies with his meal, which we were told they're going to come with onion and bacon on, and they were plain. Our food took a good while to arrive as well. We wanted to love everything, but felt it fell short a bit on the details.

Wonderful experience. The Pierogi were perfectly cooked and delicious. The pork tenderloin was fantastic! Our server, Maya, recommended the Polish Mojito when I couldn't decide. It was deliciously refreshing. A wonderful blend of apple and lime with a little kick of mint at the end. I highly recommend this hidden gem and will be back.

There's a sign on the door that reminds customers that Tradycja is not a fast food restaurant; the food is prepared and freshly cooked as it's ordered. That being said, we went in and ordered two appetizers and two main dishes. Appetizers were out within 15 minutes, followed by our main courses not long after. The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the Highlander goulash. It came with two potato pancakes, a cup of sour cream, and two pickles. The goulash was delicious! The meat was tender and it just falls apart in your mouth. The servicing size was pretty generous, more than enough for a good meal and some to take home. Service was on point! Our waitress was quick on her feet and rounded on us frequently for refills and to check in on our meal. Overall, Tradycja offers a great variety of Polish dishes, and we will definitely be back!

Drove a distance to this place as it peaked my interest on the polish fushion aspect to it. The tatar is absolutely delicious. It's seasoned slightly less traditionally but it's absolutely yummy. The steak sandwich is to die for! The braised lamb was the thing I was looking forward to the most and it was a let down- the sauce on it was too sweet. Overall, the options were great and the twist to some of their traditional dishes is creatively delicious

A small unique restaurant. Waitstaff is friendly and the food is decently priced. We were seated rapidly and the noise level was decent conversation level. As for the food, it was excellent. We had an appetizer of steak tartare. Delicious. I had a mushroom soup course and it was great. Not over seasoned and not loaded with cream. I followed this with Pork Tenderloin and potato pancakes. Outstanding. My son and brother enjoyed a polish sampler with sausage, potato pancake, kraut and pierogi. They also had a dessert of apple cake and spoke highly. Service could be a bit faster but the food was still worth the wait. This is a new regular stop on my list. Yum!

The HIDDEN JEWEL of Orland Park! You HAVE to try this place! Fresh, modern, Polish food with delicious salads, soups, and homemade sausages and meatballs! We went for the lunch buffet and it was so incredible. There was salmon/shrimp pasta, sausages in a sauce, a chicken dish, pork tenderloin, and the meatballs....oh the meatballs. Also worth mentioning was the freshness of the salad ingredients, the slaw-like salad, and the soup with broth that made us order extra to go. It was so good we also got take out for the next day. Whether you're on La Grange Road running errands or getting from point A to B, stop in for lunch and you will be amazed with the quality of the food, the kindness of the staff, and the lovely ambience inside.

The service was outstanding, my waitress was extremely patient with me. Once I figured out what to order my decision was perfect. I loved my dinner. Medallions of pork made to perfection in a mushroom gravy. My potato pancake & the sauerkraut were absolutely delicious. The place was decorated beautifully!

Wonderful light Polish food. Light Polish food is NOT a contradiction in terms. The chef and most of the waitresses are from Poland. The waitresses wear traditional Polish costumes and are very friendly and attentive. I have brought many friends to this restaurant, which is difficult to find because it is in a small strip mall hidden from view. Better signage is needed. At first my non-Polish, watching my calories friends balked at POLISH food, but once here they wanted to come back. My sisters feast on pierogi and Polish pancakes. I really enjoy the breaded oversize pork chop. As sides I order mashed potatoes - real! If you like sauerkraut theirs is heaven - tangy and braised, not boiled to death. I also enjoy their chicken-beef broth, rich and loaded with noodles. The restaurant itself has darling decor, a small bar and a room for catered events

Delicious Polish cuisine . I enjoyed the Selisian Dumplings, which were marshmallow-like in texture. Such a delight that I look forward to coming back to. Great decor, rustic. Great service.

Wow! I cannot say enough great things about this place. The restaurant is very stylish and comfortable. The service--impeccable. And the food... WOW! Absolutely delicious. I would venture to say that I had some of, if not THE, best pork tenderloin I have ever had in my life here at Tradycja. It was really a great experience from every perspective and I am really looking forward to go back and try other menu items.

I have only ever picked up food from Tradycja so far, but will definitely dine in sometime soon. Picking up the food I've been delighted by the lovely interiors here - very nicely decorated and warm, welcoming atmosphere. The pierogi are delicious, and I look forward to trying lots of other menu items.

Absolutely one of my favorite places to come. Such a cute and rustic vibe but also like stepping into your European grandmas home. The food is so so delicious, so fresh and always hot when it comes out, and so comforting. The servers are always so kind and attentive. We also love that they offer nights with live music with talented artists and had the pleasure of listening to a live saxophonist this time. Love love love!

Very talented chef ‍!!! Very creative with polish traditions meals, bringing a unique taste for those plates. You can have a very good traditional Polish food cooked to perfection as well you can have a twist of traditional and modern polish cuisine. I don't eat meat but the menu for meat lovers seems very promising and there is a lot of not polish dishes you can find. Very nice ambiance and good prices for the meals they serving.

I went to Tradycja last night and had a wonderful evening. I had seen the owner/Chef on TV a few months ago so I made the one hour trip to Orland Park with 2 girlfriends who came from Detroit. We started out with the Polish mojitos... delicious! Then the potato pancake appetizer. These were the best I have ever had. Yum! My 2 friends had the breaded pork chop and I had a Polish combination of stuffed cabbage and pierogi. We all said all the food was delicious. The side of the cucumber salad was terrific and I would recommend it!! The owner came out and talked to us and sent over free shots!! A friend of the owner at the bar bought us dessert!! Veronica, our great waitress, brought us more shots on the house and we all laughed all night. Before we left the owner gave us a souvenir!! Wow what a night!!

I've been anxious to try out Tradycja and really would like to visit the restaurant soon, but decided to order delivery earlier this week and I was VERY impressed! Everything we ordered was delicious. Cabbage rolls were yummy, loved the spinach and feta pierogis, delicious sautéed mushrooms, etc. Looking forward to dining at the restaurant but thoroughly enjoyed take out!

We ordered our food to go so I didn't spend as much time inside as I would've liked; the restaurant is very pretty and also clean and neatly appointed. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and quick! They were sure to check our id for the food pickup to make sure we didn't make any mistakes which we appreciated very much. Our food came out right on time; it was delicious and cooked perfectly! The pierogi are very similar to what my mom and I make. Perfectly prepared :):) The shrimp appetizer was my favorite dish! We also had the potato pancakes, again VERY similar to home, and the hunters stew which was beautiful. Definitely give it a try! Oof and absolutely try the oscypkek--JUST like home

I absolutely needed to leave my first ever yelp review, this food is phenomenal! I grew up eating Polish food and hadn't had any in over 16 years. I got the stuffed cabbage and fried pierogi's, they were savory, well seasoned and very hearty and filling. The other people I was dining with tried the Polish plate and the Gypsy Pork Butt. They cleaned their plates and raved about how delicious it all was as well!

Very tasty and unique to our area. The service was spot on A nice surrounding that brings in the polish flair.

Polish food was great and service very friendly and quick.. We enjoyed our meal very much. Very happy we can get Polish food close to our home, do not have to drive to North Milwaukee St.. to get Good Polish food.

I brought my father here for a late lunch. I was there to try the buffet, my father just wanted a burger. The waitress told us if my father wasn't having the buffet he would have to sit in the other room (side) of the restaurant. I asked, so if we don't both have the buffet we cannot sit together? She answered, yes, you two will just have to figure it out. The place was almost empty. Maybe to other couples at the time. I'm sure they would have noticed if my 87-year-old father tried to steal a pirogue from the buffet. What a joke of a policy. Learn to read your audience Tradycja.

Awesome food... gourmet Polish food. Great atmosphere and excellent service... a unique sport you will love!

Authentic Polish food. Pleasant decor, extremely friendly waitress and really delicious food. Portions are larger than expected. I ordered stuffed cabbage and received three in my order. The cabbage wrap leaves were not as mushy as those I've had in other places. The filling was mostly meat - not stuffed with rice as some I've had. We also had the breaded pork chop - very large! Served with tasty sauerkraut and obviously homemade mashed potatoes. We'll be back!

Delicious food. They have a really nice lunch buffet which let me sample a variety of dishes, which was great!

We had reservations for 6. The food was great. Rainbow Trout/pork tenderloin/2Polish platters, and some excellent polish draft beers. I wish we had a bigger table but food and service were great. Need more bread than one basket for 6. We will return.

Excellent food. Don't judge the restaurant by the outside. Once inside the decor is perfect, service great, and food selection will satisfy all tastes. The mushroom soup was fantastic. Apple cake with pistachio ice cream for dessert was very tasty.

Stopped in for lunch buffet was the only thing available, it was weak no porgies, food was lukewarm, service was good, decor was nice and warm. I may try it again but would go to Highland house first.

It's so good here- food, atmosphere, service etc. had so much fun here and the food was so freakin good I wanna come back already. Their pierogi are tasty and delicious- better than home made if that's possible. 13/10 would recommend and can't wait to go back!

Started with small sliced bun that came with some spread which turned out to be bacon grease what genius came up with that idea Main meal was pork tenderloin that would have been good if the breading wasn't so thick The other meal was stuffed cabbage rolls which were very mushy $60 dollar lunch not worth it

Fresh and authentic Polish food in a beautiful and unique setting. Also has a room for parties- service was very good too! Highly recommend for a date night or family dinner

Tried their lunch buffet, and I have to say I found it to be quite good! IMO a nice choice of items,not a massive amount/display but more than adequate and true to polish cuisine! Upscale decor,very clean & tidy. Excellent place for lunch or dinner.

Visited them at Taste of Orland. This, Gaston's and Mo's Chinese are the only businesses worth visiting for a meal. The cabbage rolls were great! I've been to their restaurant and ordered the trout meal. It was great too!

3rd visit was outstanding. The first two visits were with friends and were great also. The Polish infused cuisine is done wonderfully. Everything is Polish inspired. Thanks... Half eaten; incredible Pan Seared Pork Loin

I went with friends , just to try something new. This little restaurant was FANTASTIC! What a gem in the south suburbs. Everything we ordered was delicious-the pork tenderloin was out of this world. Pleasant service, great atmosphere. Worth it!!!!

A *very* enthusiastic five stars! While in town to visit my family, we couldn't decide on what we wanted to eat for a late lunch. Once again, Yelp to the rescue with recommendations, which is where I stumbled on the reviews for Tradycja. After looking over photos of the menu and the beautiful food images, we were sold. We arrived at an off time, around 2:30 in the afternoon, but there were still quite a few people there to enjoy a late lunch. Our waiter, Corey, was absolutely delightful and helpful from the first moment we arrived through our departure. He made excellent suggestions throughout our ordering, also pointing out the menu of weekly specials. We decided to eat family-style so we could try many different dishes. From the regular menu we ordered the potato pancake and from the specials menu we ordered a smoked salmon salad. Both were absolutely amazing! The potato pancake was incredibly crispy and crunchy without being burned. The smoked salmon salad was also delicious and had the perfect balance of flavors. Corey noted that everything was homemade, including the fresh applesauce with the potato pancake and the black mayo for the smoked salmon salad, made using cuttlefish ink! I also got the mushroom soup with goat cheese and croutons from the specials menu. I genuinely want to eat this soup every day. The goat cheese added a beautiful richness to the dish and the croutons were perfectly toasted bread cubes. Each of us ordered a different entree to try and we were all so happy. From my mushroom and cabbage pierogis to the shrimp risotto to the special pork ribs with a plum-chili sauce, we savored every bite. Plus, each dish was plated beautifully with such care. Throughout the meal, we also remarked on how lovely all the dishware and flatware looked. Of course, we couldn't leave without having dessert. I was eyeing the Belgian waffle with fruit, but unfortunately they were out of waffles. Corey recommended the apple cake and we also got the cheese crepes. The apple cake was incredible and I loved the side of raspberries and real whipped cream. My parents demolished the cheese crepe and were similarly pleased. The decor in the restaurant was fantastic. I loved all the natural wood and the thoughtful accents at every turn. I felt like I was in a very welcoming home created by a fabulous interior designer. Normally I don't write about bathrooms, but the women's bathroom was so precious! Even the hand dryer was elegantly decorated to add to the impact. We can wait for our next visit; I anticipate we might even come back for dinner in the next few days!

Wow! My family came here for my mom's birthday dinner and everyone in our family loved their meal. Aside from what's photographed, the pierogi were amazing, the other entrees were great (beef ribs, polish platter, and Highlander's potato pancakes). The mixer salad and grilled smoked cheese were great too. Our server, Kamil, was friendly, attentive, patient, and kind. If you're reading this, I highly recommend you try Tradycja! We will be back.

Came to visit based on the good reviews and I was not disappointed. Food was yummy and service was good. Honestly cheapest dine in I have had in a while.

What a way to spend a Saturday Night dinner but at a quaint restaurant, enjoying a few drinks and great Polish cuisine. We enjoyed a flight of polish shots and a beer along with Grilled Smoked Cheese - Cranberry Sauce / Bacon. Hubby had the special of Mushroom and Kraut Pierogis. He was extremely pleased. Then onto dinner we had Stuff Cabbage which was better than my grandmothers who was polish. I suggest you order a side of mash potatoes and fried cabbage it just finished the dinner. And then of course dessert Halvah Mousse which was out of this world. This will be our new go to for an authentic Polish Dinner choice.

A nice take on traditional Polish cuisine with some modern flare. The food is well made and the prices are not overwhelming.

Small place in a strip mall, there's an El Famous here. Inside is nice ambiance, goral pics and motif. Service is attentive and friendly. They have everything from Burger in the 15 dollar range to top meat in the 40 dollar range. Had the braised lamb which was lean and flavorful. Rest of the group tried everything from breadednpork cutlet, tenderloin with mushrooms, chicken entre, and the Polish plate special (potatoes pancakes, kielbasa, goulash, pierogi). Steak tartare was great as an appetizer, as was the smoked oscypek and fried potato pierogi. All the food was excellent, large portions, so pace yourselves and plan for leftovers. Service was excellent, server overheard it was our mother's birthday, and showed up with a dessert with candle for her. Also try the fresh soups, although again, portions ate big so plan accordingly. If I had to comment about anything, the place seemed warm inside, might have just been acting up that day. Like I said, not an inexpensive dinner but definitely looking forward to coming back.

I made reservations online for my mother-in-laws 73rd birthday. I received both email and text confirmations that the restaurant confirmed it. We show up and they said they forgot to write it down and couldn't seat us because waiting on 2 bigger parties. We walked out and took several attempts at other places to finally get her birthday dinner. It sucks because we always wanted to try it and finally were going to and thus happened. This ruined it for us and won't be back.

The food is amazing! Ordered delivery, and it came on time, and perfectly heated. Everything was great. I can't wait to order from this restaurant in the future. You can tell the chef cares about the quality of food. I highly recommend!

First time at this new Polish fusion restaurant. First impression was great. Inside is small but was decked out in modern furnishings and wall art. We made a reservation as we did not know if there would be a wait. We were seated as soon as we arrived. We ordered an appetizer and 2 entrees. We did have to wait quite awhile to to receive our food. Waitress was very nice. I think the kitchen was not able to keep up with 2 larger parties. Our food was great. Smoked cheese appetizer was very good and not what we were expecting. My husband got a traditional goulash with potato pancakes. It was very good. I got pork tenderloin. This dish did not seem very traditional but it was tasty. We will be back to try some other dishes.

Had lunch here and i was very pleased . The decor is well done in the dining area . Even the restroom is painted artistically with nice sink fixtures . The lunch portions are satisfying and plated well . I ordered a side and the combined food was an over indulgence , as in to much . There is a slight wait for the food to be prepared but it's worth it . I arrived just as the doors opened at 11:00 so after ordering i got up from the table to appreciate the large photos that are hung on one wall . The dessert selections appear decadent and rich . I will be back for that at another time . I was greeted by a friendly employee as i entered and as i exited she was just as pleasant . Enjoy the dining experience and leave happy , than come back to explore more menu selections .

Best pierogis I've had, and I've had a few. I ordered stuffed cabbage with red sauce- it was served hot and tasty.
