The 24 Best Restaurants In Madrid - Madrid - The Infatuation

"A trip to Tramo is a relaxing experience. You’ll enjoy a vegetable- and seafood-packed meal in an airy, harmonious space, complete with vaulted ceilings, plants everywhere, and an open kitchen where you can admire food preparation like it’s a spa day ritual. As you’d expect from a place that reuses rainwater, and relies on solar and wind energy, ingredients in your order—like carrots sprinkled with pistachios, cured egg yolks over seared artichoke drenched in salsa macha, trout topped with Basque leeks, or a certified denomination of suckling lamb from Aragon—are sourced from local vendors devoted to regenerative food production. Their sustainability approach, which also involves working with nonprofits to hire people, like refugees, who might otherwise struggle to find work, takes nothing away from the experience but enhances it." - lori zaino

Tramo

"One of those restaurants that flies the flag for sustainability, a commitment that is behind its decision to prioritise the recycling of materials and bioconstruction building methods. In this setting occupying one of the legendary concert rooms of the Movida Madrileña movement (the space was previously home to the El Garaje Hermético bar), its natural resources are put to effective commercial use through this socially inclusive project with an honest approach and a desire to help people who have difficulty accessing the jobs market. On the menu here you’ll find contemporary dishes prepared using ingredients from small-scale Spanish producers, farmers and local breeders." - Michelin Inspector

Everything was exceptional. We love all the vibe the place has, every single dish had its own unique presentation, and the flavors were spectacular. One thing that we must mention is that the chairs and sofas were not to our liking, since after an hour of sitting on them we both felt uncomfortable. They are very stiff.

TRAMO has become my new favorite restaurant in Madrid, delivering a wonderful dining experience that exceeds expectations in every aspect. The spaciousness of the restaurant creates a comfortable, unhurried atmosphere that allows diners to truly savor both the food and the company. My favorite appetizer is the sheep's milk butter - so creamy and so delicious when paired with their quality bread and olive oil. This simple yet extraordinary combination showcases how exceptional ingredients can transform basic elements into something memorable and luxurious. My favorite entree would be the steak, seared to absolute perfection and paired with delicious eggplant and a sweet sauce that creates a harmonious balance of flavors and textures. The steak demonstrates masterful cooking technique while the accompaniments elevate the entire dish beyond typical preparations. The pork shoulder is also very good, showcasing the kitchen's ability to handle different cuts of meat with equal skill and attention to detail that results in consistently excellent preparations. The best dessert is undoubtedly the flan - simply perfect in its execution. This classic dessert achieves the ideal balance of silky texture and caramelized sweetness that defines exceptional flan preparation. The ultimate testament to TRAMO's quality is that I have eaten there three times in the span of two weeks because it's just so good! This level of repeat patronage speaks to the restaurant's ability to deliver consistently exceptional experiences that make you want to return immediately.

Delicious food and drinks with a great atmosphere! Would definitely come back. The chocolate dessert is a must try. And the restaurant’s concept is amazing.

The food here is amazing. Whatever you pick from the menu is guaranteed to be delicious and made with great quality ingredients. The atmosphere is also nice and spacious but it’s extremely smoky inside the restaurant because they use real charcoal to cook the steaks (my eyes were watery the whole time because of the smoke). I’d recommend sitting as far away from the kitchen as possible.

From the moment we walked into Tramo, we knew we were in for something special. The space is stunning — a perfect blend of industrial charm and modern, sustainable design. The architecture, with its use of recycled materials and warm natural lighting, creates an atmosphere that’s both cozy and refined. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish we tried was a creative and delicious take on Spanish cuisine. The artichokes were perfectly prepared, and the steak with fries was cooked to perfection — tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The attention to detail in both taste and presentation really stood out. The service was warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. The staff clearly care about the experience and were happy to explain the dishes and offer recommendations. The open kitchen added a nice interactive element — we loved seeing the chefs at work. Tramo is more than just a place to eat — it’s a full experience. Whether you’re passionate about food, design, or simply looking for a special evening out in Madrid, this place hits every mark. Can’t wait to return!

Although I don't live at a sea side town but I've still had a lot of fish. And I am quite sure the trout I ate here today was the best fish of my life. The Prawn Tartar entreé was also delicious and definitely worth a try. Even the Espresso Macchiatto at the end was brilliant. Very pleased indeed

We had a great dining experience overall. The service was good and the food was delicious. We especially loved the lobster entrée and the tuna, both were standout dishes. Dessert was also good. I’d definitely recommend this place. That said, I have to mention one frustrating trend that this restaurant unfortunately follows: charging €3 per person for bread that we didn’t ask for. It’s a disappointing move that takes away a bit from an otherwise fantastic meal
