The main reason for going here I would say is the atmosphere more than anything. It's a lovely restaurant in a rather odd spot and it makes for quite an interesting experience. The inside is well decorated and reminiscent of an old style tuscan restaurant. The place has a lovely garden for the summer as well as a parking lot. It is mainly frequented by locals and we saw no tourists at all, which is difficult to find in and around Florence. They also have a cute cat inside. The food was also very good but for the price the portions were rather small and left us wanting a bit more. Their signature dish that they're known for is fried frog legs so if you go do try them out as I've yet to find another place that does them. Overall a pretty good experience and I would probably go back.

Such a whimsical place, we're so happy we found it (by accident). Not sure why people in reviews write that the food is not that perfect, because every single thing we tried was pure perfection. The zuccini lasagna!!! 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼 Try their house wine as well, you wont regret it, and the pistachio dessert. ✨️ Thank you to the older waiter who was sweet and giggly all night and laughing with us, he trully made our night special. Very calm vibes and nice energy, totally worth the visit. 😌

Food was amazing. Staff was professional and friendly. The mains were delicious and the desserts probably the best part of the whole dinner. Absolutely to try. I can't wait to go back, especially in summer when the garden will be open to the customers.

A Review from 2012. A bit late. What a fabulous old historic great charming restaurant. Over 200 years old!! We stayed right next door at a hotel and since it was not safe to walk on these roads, they picked us up at the hotel (and took us back!). We were the first table for dinner. The place was empty. WOW. they know how to make breaded pork. The best meat I had all in Italy. This place allowed us to order only what we wanted. We did not want a full blown dinner - no "1st", "2nd", "3rd" and then dessert. We ate light, but the pork chops, pasta, and artichokes were amazing!. I would go back and I recommend this restaurant to anyone going to Florence.

June 3, 2023… Outstanding! So many vegetarian choices… the stuffed zucchini flowers were a taste of heaven! The crepe was so well flavored, it had to be slowly savored.

Amazing food especially the Fiorentina steak and great wine offering. Waiters were a bit overwhelmed due to the fully booked place and we had to wait a bit for our orders / food.

Exeptional local tuscan food in an idillic setting …. Dinner served right the italian way slow qnd easy with a friendly staff

Atmosphere was nice but food didn’t match. The steak had many hard tissue and nerves, was not easy to eat. You can have better snd cheaper steaks. The salad was simple without any tomato or cucumber, just greens from supermarket package. Fried zucchini flowers with ricotta was delicious. It is not worth driving all the way there to have average and overpriced food. Atmosphere is very good though.
