I like pizza and pasta here. Tiramisu also good. I will definitely go again. You can park cross the street next to Leetrans I mean in the Walgreens.

I'm a very picky person. I have nothing but, praise for this family restaurant. First time and not the last time. The food was wonderful and service was very good. Could not be more please with the place.

Google
Second time here and had a fantastic dinner. Service was great and the atmosphere kind reminded me of an enoteca in Italy. The Bolognese Rigatoni was phenomenal as was the focaccia and meatball appetizer. The House Chianti was a generous pour and from a good winery. The only qualm we had with the meal was the short rib lasagna which was lacking about in quantity of the noodles and they were overdone. If there were a few more and they were al dente it would have been amazing as the flavor was great. Will be back again though.

Parking lot is next door in someone else's space, so be careful about getting ticketed. The place is nice inside, very small and intimate, with a family restaurant feel. Service can be spotty, depending on who you get. The house wine wasn't great, a little harsh. Amongst all the apps and entrees we ordered, the single best dish was the Caesar salad. Fresh and crunchy with not too much dressing and pleasant citrus notes. Entrees were somewhat disappointing. Just ok, not incredibly flavorful. At one point we could smell very burnt pizza, perhaps when the cook forgot that he had one in the oven. Decent place, and nice to support the family owners, but none of us is desperate to return.

Google
The service was outstanding. Everything that could go wrong for them this week has, but they served with smiles and courtesy. The ceiling ac vent was leaking, so they moved us promptly. They had a rush the day before so they were out of a lot of items, but they sold us on the amazing dishes we did eat. I was impressed with the perseverance in spit of a situation they could not control. We will return!

Google
This little place was great and served very good pizza. My only complaint is that we were served a pizza and a steak knife to cut it. If we go back I will request them to cut our pizza for us as a steak knife was ready quite hard to use. We wound up barbarically ripping it apart. Which seems off in such a nice establishment. Still 5 stars just cut my pizza!

Google
We had a party of 8, the food, service, live music, and atmosphere were wonderful! Our server was very attentive. We had salads, pizzas, meatballs, calamari, and husband had the swordfish dinner special which was the best he has ever had. Adorable place with a very welcoming vibe. Great wine choices and the tiramisu was a perfect ending to our meal.

Google
We have past the place almost everyday on our walk. I read them menu and said we have to try their pizza. Well I was shocked you can't get a pizza your way and the one we got was all burnt around the edges. Our server was good she was very attentive but we will never go back. Can't believe they would serve a pizza like this

Yelp
Service & Food. Hudson was amazingly articulate and helpful. The food was fantastic . Music added to the ambiance! "Crooner in the Corner". We read about the lasagna in previous review but were told the chef had recently returned from a health issue and they would be adding it back sometime soon. I would love to see this spot prosper. The location is a bit secluded and if I hadn't seen the lighted "Open" sign I might have missed it. I hope the owners are able to use social media and acquire a lighted sign to draw folks to their delicious food!

Yelp
The food and service were beyond amazing! I can't tell you how good everything was; apps, main courses and desserts! Do yourself a favor and GO!! The live entertainment was an added bonus and pleasant background to our conversation!! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Cute little quiet place that was decorated perfectly. Nice aroma when entering. Restaurant was empty with only one other table in use but it was early. The wife had a mushroom pasta dish which she said was very good. I had the meatballs over pasta. The sauce was tasty and the meatballs tasted fine but the consistency of the meatballs was very soft and mushy. The texture was off putting but the flavor was fine. The Tiramisu was excellent. We will try it again although I will not be ordering the meatballs next time.

Yelp
Have dined there in the past but last week when a group of us went, the food was subpar. Also the basket of bread they gave to us was beyond burnt. No butter or olive oil given to dip the bread in. Bread was not edible. We asked for another basket of bread since it was beyond burnt. The waiter just replied by saying all of the bread was like that.‍. Do they have new ownership or a new chef?

Yelp
Great service. Tasty dishes. Good Italian wine. Recommend this restaurant for good authentic food.

Yelp
Service was great. Food was fantastic a little on the small side. I am not sure if reservations are required, but we made one. We had 10 in our party and everyone was satisfied with their meals.

Yelp
Order pickup, got 4 pizzas. Pizzas tasted great, and everything felt fresh. Our only complaint was that they skimmed a bit on the toppings. Ordered a pancetta bacon pizza and it's like they counted how many bits they used in the pizza. Aside from that, we really enjoyed it.

Yelp
I've been really wanting to try this place for a while and I was finally able to! The restaurant is tiny but perfect for that at home feel. It wasn't very busy but there was only like one and half servers present. I say half because I couldn't tell if there were two but the one did amazing juggling all her tables and being super friendly and not missing an opportunity to tell us about the specials. The bread was complimentary and interesting. I'm not sure I'd say it was garlic bread but it was fluffy and pretty good. I ended up having fettuccine with chicken and it was so tasty! The sauce was thick in a good way and super creamy! I will be back to try some other menu items! Especially dessert, I was so stuffed I sadly had to pass.

Yelp
Great pizza , fantastic flavor! Caesar salad amazing!! Calamari very good! I look forward to trying it again

Yelp
BEST LASAGNA I've ever had in my entire life anywhere around the globe !!!! 7Layer Lasagna is a must!! They do surround it with a red sauce so if you're not a fan of red sauce, ask them if you can have white sauce on the side!!! my husband, and I both looked at each other with a bite and both agreed this is the best lasagna we've ever had ever in life. It's so delicate and phenomenal. You will be coming back for more!! Fire grilled Pizzas are Best Pizza in Cape Coral! We love their Wild Mushroom Pizza with white sauce and fresh garlic. Best hidden Gem in the Cape. Hands down the best Italian food in Cape Coral and Ft Myers. Thank you Trattoria Ciao Family!

Yelp
So I'm not sure where you are supposed to park. Maybe across the street? The restaurant is small but tables are well spaced apart and I did like like the Sinatra music as it added to the ambiance.Nice patio area for dining as well as intimate indoor dining. Wine , no mixers so I opted for Prosecco. Shrimp and spinach lasagna with lobster sauce was amazing. Place did seem a little disorganized, no water on the tables, we had to ask, no salt and pepper. Maybe more staff needed as it was busy. Our server was lovely and attentive and food was good . Loved the amaretto crème brûlée. Just a nice neighborhood restaurant, worth checking out.

Yelp
What a great little gem! We found this little Italian restaurant when we couldn't get into the one we thought we wanted. This small place is very accomodating to walk ins. She and I both had tratitional their Italian dishes. We were each very impressed with both the service and the food. I'll give it 5 stars because that's what it deserves.

Randy K.

Yelp
Outstanding food and service from Fernando. I rarely am able to get Osso Bucco in a restaurant. Trattoria Ciao's Osso Bucco was scrumptious. The portion was plentiful and sauce extremely rich. The bread (pizza-dough-like and crispy) worked well to soak up the sauce. My wife and friends also thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Prices are very fair. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem and worth the trip from I-75. We will definitely return.

Yelp
Great smokey crust pizza. The red sauce on my chicken parm was a tad more on the spicy or acidic side than I like but hubby loved it. We'll be back. Perfect service and great atmosphere!
google avatar

Daniel B.

Yelp
One of the best Italian restaurants in Cape Coral. The food and service were amazing. Parking is easy across the street in the public lot, but if you aren't familiar with the entry it is easy to miss (it's behind the Walgreens).

Yelp
LOVE this place. Very small so make a reservation. Food was GREAT and service was even better. Had the fresh fish and let the chef (also the owner) pick the sauce.....so good. Had a lovely gent playing music at just the right volume and was very enjoyable. We will be back and thank you for exceeding expectations.

Yelp
Well, I really like the way this place looks like inside. Small, mom and pop with nice ambiance. Service was very good. Everything tasted delicious except the entree was just ok. I really think it was just the selection and I'm definitely going back to try something else on the menu.

Yelp
Came for dinner on a Friday night. The inside is so adorable and they had a guitar player (great quiet ambiance). We had the spinach artichoke dip for the table, it was so delicious. My husband had the Seafood Cioppino. Honestly it was okay. The scallops tasted very fishy and the broth was not thick at all, but very runny. I had the veal piccata. The veal was amazing and the portion size was great. The fettuccine itself was good, but the sauce on it was very watery and lacked flavor. I needed to add a lot of salt and pepper. Overall we really like the ambiance and my veal was great.

Helen S.

Yelp
Our 3rd or 4th visit to this charming restaurant. Let's start with the food: wood oven pizza with pear, arugula, and Gorgonzola tasted amazing. Sweet and savory at the same time. We had the pizza as an appetizer followed with Rigatoni Bolognese made with short ribs beef - Incredible flavor! Our friends said their Lasagna and spaghetti with meatballs were equally excellent. They chose a yummy Tuscan Chianti to accompany their meal. Moving to service: the hostess seated us promptly and her "assistant " brought us a warm focaccia bread immediately. Next our server came over to take drink orders and tell us about the specials. Both the Osso Bucco and a pasta dish sounded delicious. Dinner was served promptly in about 20 minutes with the pizza coming out first as requested. Throughout dinner a vocalist accompanying himself on the guitar sang softly, which was the perfect dinner music so we could still chat during dinner. This romantic little gem is hidden away on the end of SE 47th Terrace across from the Cape Coral bus depot (which provides free parking). If you are looking for a moderately priced local Italian restaurant, this brilliant diamond deserves your attention. Buon appetito!

Yelp
Very good food and service. New owners caring on what the previous owner started. Very good Italian food.

Yelp
This is the best italian place in Cape Coral!! The pizzas are so amazing the crust is so different then any other i think its how the do it in italy. We finally tried the mushroom risotto aranicini.OMG!! So delicious!! You have to try this place! The service is always friendly and it looks very clean.

Yelp
Everything we had was delicious! Service was excellent, thanks Lyndsey. We shared the large antipasto board, I had the special for the night, 5 cheese tortellini. John had the veal Marsala. Dessert? It was a unique tasting pear dish. Will definitely go back, so much more on the menu I want to try.
google avatar

Tammy K.

Yelp
First time here and we live in Cape Coral (shame on us). Very pleasantly surprised! I had the special ravioli (spicy marinara and pork ravioli). Fresh and delicious. My husband had Fettuccine Alfredo and he makes outstanding Alfredo sauce and this is fresh and delicious! Don't miss coming here, it's outstanding! Also, Lyndsey, she's so awesome and real! Great authentic restaurant! So glad we got in here and will absolutely be returning! Great wine list as well!

Yelp
New owner? Very disappointing and a terrible meal. If you don't know how to cook pasta, don't run a restaurant. Our pasta was mushy, sauce out of a can, chicken was like rubber. Don't expect to see any dish look like the pictures. I saw nothing come out of the kitchen look remotely close to the pictures on yelp. We ordered the bruschetta, 4 pieces of bread with a side of Pico de Gallo. House chianti came out of a box, meatballs tasted like meatloaf. $170 for table of 4 and no one finished their meal. Try anywhere else!

Michael T.

Yelp
This is a great restaurant i really enjoyed the pizza it is soooo good, especially the pepperoni pizza! The owners are also really warm and welcoming, it has a really nice low key vibe and just really nice place to bring your friends and family.

Ell C.

Yelp
This was our first time since the new owners took over the restaurant. We always thought the restaurant looked abandoned but we thought we'd give it a try. We were very pleasantly surprised by the food and the service. Both were very good. The ceasar salad and the chicken parmigiana did not disappoint us. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. We will definitely go back.

Anne A.

Yelp
We loved this cozy restaurant with great food and service. Prices were reasonable, and we loved the mellow live music on Friday evening. We'll definitely return!

Emma W.

Yelp
such good food and super cute look to the place. loved it. got our drinks and food super quick too!

Sharon J.

Yelp
Went early on a Saturday evening and had a wonderful experience. Service was perfect, music was best I have heard in years, and the meal, gnocchi primavera, which was recommended was wonderful. I have to admit though that the pizza I ordered to take home wasn't the greatest. But everything else, including the atmosphere, was great.

Janie B.

Yelp
Ciao is a cosy step into Italian cuisine. Our server Hernando was friendly & very helpful. Starting with an appetizer portion of meatballs affirmed the savories of the red sauce & meat balls. Wildfired pizza was delicious as was the pesto gnocchi The tiramisu was the best we've ever had! This was our first visit but definitely not our last.

Yelp
Wonderful date night spot. All food fresh and they are so focused on customer experience. Highly recommend if you like feeling special.

James B.

Yelp
A Cape Coral Dining - GEM. Perfectly prepared Northern Italian with a varied menu, we had attentive and professional service by Fernando adding that extra element that makes a night out special. Their gourmet wood fired pizza, a generous 12+ inches, is the best pizza in SW Florida. Their deserts and liquors cap off a special dining experience. smile, quiet, intimate. 5 Stars in my book.
google avatar

Fran W.

Yelp
I walked is and smelled the wood fired grill. Frank Sinatra was playing and the beautiful smiling Lindsay greeted me. The tables were dressed with white linen tablecloths. This is my second visit. I first visit I ordered fettucini Alfredo and it was the best I have ever had. The sauce was creamy and thick. The homemade focaccia bread with fresh rosemary was amazing. The 2nd visit I ordered a Margherita Pizza with fresh basil leaves. Total perfection tucked into this inviting and charming restaurant. I can't wait to come again and try another meal.

Yelp
I should have taken a few more photos. The food is very good. Had the Branzino & ravioli specials paired with a nice red wine. Delightful meal.

Jim S.

Yelp
I highly recommend Trattoria Ciao. I've eaten here once a week for the past three months trying a different dish on their menu. The Caprese salad is one of the better ones I've ever had anywhere because the mozzarella is made fresh in the kitchen. I read another review or say the house wine is boxed, but that is false information as their house Chianti is very good and they have a nice wine selection. All the entrées I've tried were excellent. Small intimate restaurant great for a date night.
google avatar

Francesca A.

Yelp
Had a lovely dinner tonight! Garlic/cheese bread was sooooo good. Fettuccini tasted delicious but also fresh & homemade. We also had the special (seafood ravioli). Made perfectly! To complete, we had the cannoli. Just perfect. The vibes are great. It's cozy and sweet. Staff is so genuine. It feels like you're having dinner among family. Staff was also very patient and accommodating as we were dining with our 6 month old son. Cannot wait to return. Thank you Ciao!

Yelp
Good Experience some good food. Jill the owner is a wonderful friendly very pleasant person. She really cares about her customers from what I saw. Small restaurant. With indoor and outdoor eating areas. Try the Alfredo and wedding soup it's delicious. ;)

Kyle D.

Yelp
This is hands-down, the best Italian food I've ever had. We are definitely making it a habit to go back more often. I've tried five different dishes and they've all been over the top Excellent. I highly recommend stopping by.

John H.

Yelp
Great food in an intimate setting. Our service was perfect. We had a table of 10 people and the entire evening ran smoothly. Highly recommended
google avatar

Sam G.

Yelp
Almost as good as Nonna's home cooking. The linguini with white clam sauce was good and the lasagna was better. Good wine list and very attentive owner and great service. Fresh warm bread with oil and daily cut calamari appetizer were a great way to start the meal. They dont take reservations so its like at Nonna's ...if there's a seat you eat otherwise you got wait your turn. But its worth the wait!

Anthony G.

Yelp
A real gem in downtown Cape Coral. Fantastic food, fair prices, and friendly service.

Yelp
Wow. So happy we found this special little place. Travis and Jill made us feel like family. We will be back over and over again to try everything on the menu. Today we had an Italian salad with the amazing homemade Italian dressing- everything is from scratch- the meat pizza (it's called something Italian) so so good! Crusty amazing ness! The seafood ravioli and three desserts: cream puffs, chocolate mousse and coconut pie. We should have taken pictures, but we were too busy chatting with the owner and the nearby table. And omg the bread and butter and oil- holy shiznit- could live on the bread and mousse alone. Truly I cannot wait to go back and try many more of Jill's moms recipes. Go! Don't miss this place! Park across the street at the bus station and try everything! The prices are reasonable, wear what you want and enjoy!!!
google avatar

Butch K.

Yelp
Wow! Top notch food The owner is present And she knows how to Cook Her home made key Lime pie Was just So amazing

Yelp
This restaurant has seriously authentic Italian food. When you walk in the front door, you will get hit will a breeze of the best tasting smell a restaurant can have! I was truly blown away. We came here on a Friday night and waited outside for a table. The restaurant is fairly small so I recommend coming here early for dinner. I started the night off with a glass of Moscato. All wines and beers are fairly priced. Our table split the Italian Eggrolls. With that name, we just had to try it! It included Italian sausage and ricotta cheese in a fried roll. For a main course I ordered their famous lasagna with a side of soup. The Wild Mushroom soup was fantastic! It came in a large bowl and it wasn't too thick or thin, just right! The lasagna was pretty good but not as good as I expected. I rather the sauce be a little more sweet as opposed to bitter, but that can be my personal preference. The lasagna was also $17.00 which came with no side or side. You certainly pay for what you get here. This restaurant has excellent food made from scratch but a bit pricy. I recommend this restaurant to people looking for great Italian food!

Robert B.

Yelp
We have been customers for many years. We have always been very happy with Ciao. Tonight was a very disappointing exception. The Caesar salad was bland. We ordered the Pasta Primavera...it was tasteless, with very little olive oil and the garlic was not roasted but appeared to be out of a bottle. We sent the Primavera back and requested Alfredo....the noodles were over cooked, mushy, and the sauce appeared to be from a bottle or can? Something has changed at Caio and not in a good way!!

Yelp
By FAR, The best cuisine in a quaint, intimate, relaxed atmosphere. Once you dine here you become family. Chef Jill is an extremely talented chef and knows how to please her extended family with foods that far exceed excellent and still remaining very affordable. Not our first visit and definitely not our last, too many fabulous dishes yet to enjoy. Kudos to Chef Jill and staff.

Theresa T.

Yelp
Best Italian food I ever had Had the Lasagna It was Great !! The service was Impeccable. We had a great time .Thank You

Yelp
Very small place , clean . Friendly staff also owner on site working as well. Which is good . Food was okay . Outside seems to be better than inside seating area but it's cold today so in is where it's at. Not too bad . Give it a try. We had eggplant Parmesan, tomato caprese, and Alfredo . Not bad.ohh & the fresh bread is excellent!

Yelp
This is a tough one to write a review on. I hate restaurants thst discount people who eat alone. It is a small place and I was ignored for a seating. I wanted the antipasto salad. They quit offering it 6 months ago eventhough they have it on their online menu. The pizza was very good. 22.50 is steep considering all the pizzas were less. I asked for pepperoni to me added to the $16 mushroom and sausage. They plopped the pizza in front of me. I had to ask for a plate. They did not go over the specials but might have skipped because i knew what i wanted. It took awhile to be acknowledged after sitting down. Water refills were very slow. When I ordered pizza and was sitting I was asked if i was getting it to go. Duh! I was asked if the pizza lived up to the reputation. I told the waiter I am from out of town and don't know the reputation but their place was recommended. They have a large menu that looks good. The pizza was 5 stars for taste not price. Service was good for the regulars. Finally dont play Christmas music in September. Why have Christmas trees?
