Family & dog-friendly distillery with tasting room & craft cocktails made with Treaty Oak spirits.
"Treaty Oak is one of the few local distilleries that actually produces a few different spirits—they do bourbon, rye, and gin. The first thing you’ll notice when you enter is the sheer size of the place. It’s wide enough to throw a football across (with plenty of room to spare), has a huge stage for live music, and large oak trees for ample shade on the 28-acre ranch. Try a flight if you want to get a sampling of their many spirits, or check out a cocktail like the Basil Blossom made with their gin, blossom syrup, grapefruit juice, and salt. When you want something more substantial to eat than some chips, their on-premises restaurant, Alice’s, has a stacked lineup of smoked meats and sides " - nicolai mccrary, anne cruz

Onsite restaurant Alice’s is open Thursday through Sunday with barbecue from pitmaster Scott Fogle (formerly of Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ) along with salads, sandwiches, and snacks.Tours and tastings: Tasting room is open daily; tours are offered on Saturday at $15 per person" - Tom Thornton
"After Paula’s opened, Treaty Oak Distilling became the fourth distillery to receive a Texas permit in 2006 — and the first to produce a “grain-to-bottle” spirit. It’s best seen and tasted with its flagship rum, made using Texas molasses sourced from the last operating sugar mill in the Rio Grande Valley, called Rio Grande Valley Sugar Growers Inc. It also sources heirloom grains from Barton Springs Mill and has been experimenting with different varieties of corn for special bourbon and single-malt releases." - Veronica Meewes
