The Best Wineries with Food in Napa Valley | Eater SF

"Trefethen proprietor Janet Trefethen played a major role in kickstarting Napa Valley’s world-class culinary industry in the 1970s when she founded the Napa Valley Cooking School and brought in top chefs from all over the world, including Thomas Keller, so it’s natural that the tradition continues via food and wine experiences. Taste the Estate ($125) pairs five completely different wines with plates like wild mushroom mousse with toasted brioche, sous vide beef short rib, and cheese arancini with preserved red peppers." - Dianne de Guzman

The property offers a perfect blend of elegance and charm, with scenic gardens and welcoming spaces that made our visit feel special. The staff is warm and knowledgeable, creating a memorable and personal experience. Jenny, in particular, stands out with her deep knowledge of the Trefethen family’s rich history and her engaging storytelling, adding a heartfelt touch that brings the legacy of the vineyard to life. Thank you all for a very memorable morning!! Great way to send my birthday!! And also making hubby sign us up for a membership!!! Brooke

Google
What a beautiful winery and tasting experience! We had friends in town this weekend and wanted to go to Napa for a tour and tasting. Trefethen offered a really lovely vineyard tour followed by a tasting, and I have to call out, for a really reasonable price unlike so many others in the valley. Shout out to Michael who was FANTASTIC - super knowledgeable, entertaining, with a splash of humor throughout the tour. Great wine, great tour. Well worth the drive and time.

Having never been to Napa Valley before, I’m glad that this was the first winery that I visited. I wanted to ship a few bottles back home to family and friends. I walked in without any reservation. I just wanted to speak to somebody and ask some questions so that I can choose the wines that I wanted to have shipped. For context, I have little to no wine knowledge haha. Michael helped me and was absolutely tremendous. He was very patient, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. He even was so kind as to let me try two of the wines that I was shipping back. I got two bottles to also take home with me in my suitcase, using wine sleeves. I can’t rate highly enough how wonderful this entire experience was, and how great Michael was. I hope to speak with him again in the future to learn more about the various wines. The vineyard and entire estate was also absolutely breathtaking.

Google
We had such an amazingly special experience at the Taste of the Estate wine tasting experience. Jenny was so informative, warm and welcoming. Everyone in my group had a fabulous time. I eagerly look forward to receiving all the wines we ordered. I 100% recommend visiting Trefethen Family Winery!

Google
Trefethen is a truly wonderful winery in Napa County. They were the first winery we ever went to shorty after moving to the area in 2019. The staff is exceptional friendly and the dry Riesling is my all time favorite wine here. All of the wines are very fairly priced too and I can only recommend a visit here. The “petting zoo” they have is also super fun and allows you try all of their different varietals directly from the vine!

Mary Briones

Google
Trefethen's tasting had lovely wines accompanied by knowledgeable wine staff who answered all my husband's questions and made the visit so much more interesting, educational and fun. Thanks Sergio for personalizing the wines to our tastes (reds) and creating a standout experience.

Google
Our visit to Trefethen was wonderful! We knew it would be nice but everything and everyone exceeded our expectations, what a beautiful and very interesting property. Gary did a fantastic job hosting! He was very accommodating and told the story of Trefethen beautifully, it couldn’t have been a better visit. We left wowed and are forever advocates of Trefethen ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Google
Josh was great!! The tour so interesting and loved that all grapes are grown for ask their wines. So their story was fascinating and the wines great enough to join the club!! Elena and Greg Somerhalder are dear friends of ours and they guided us to you! The property was beautiful! Everything in bloom!

Yelp
Such a nice time we had with Carissa! She knew a lot about wines and gave us a couple extra pours! You know it's those little things that make an experience good or exceptional! Thank you Carissa... It was exceptional, thanks to you! We have one more winery we're going to try and decide on which one to join. I just love the story that Trefethen has, and what they went through with the earthquake and what a beautiful, gorgeous, tasting room, they have!

Yelp
I went here for one of my birthday celebrations recently. We went here on a Saturday around 1:50pm and there was no wait. This winery looked kind of small compared to other wineries I've been to and there wasn't much people at the wine tasting area here. Anyways, we had a tasting flight reservation and once we got seated, they told us about the menu and we were given a bunch of snacks at the table. We ended up ordering the Essentials Flight. The Essentials Flight contains a mix of both red and white wines. I always love a good variety of items, but I tend to favor white over red since white is sweeter. It had 3 red wines and 2 white wines, but I didn't know that before we ordered since I favor white wine over red. Anyways, the waitress was super nice and she let me know the last wine on the list was also going to be a red wine, so then she offered to switch it with a dessert wine instead, which I accepted. I'd recommend this place! I love how many snacks they have here and they'll refill it for you if you ask for more. The customer service was good too and I liked the variety of wines they have here.

Yelp
If I could give Trefethen 10 stars I would! My wife and I booked a tour and tasting of this vineyard for a Monday morning. To get to the main building, which was built in the 1860's, you drive up a tree lined road between the vines. The place is just beautiful! The tour itself was so much better than we could have imagined. Our guide, Michael, was so informative and pleasant, it made it a great experience. We were shown the process of bringing the grapes into the tanks and the complex procedures of making wine. Seeing everything up close was amazing. Next we took a golf cart out into the vineyard to see the vines and grapes firsthand. Listening to all the work involved growing the vines was so interesting. Michael also explained the history of the vineyard and Napa which was fascinating. Our final stop was the tasting room. We sat at this gorgeous dining room table and tasted so many different bottles. It was fantastic! Sometimes you book things and they don't live up to your expectations, this was exactly the opposite. What we expected to be a 90 minute event turned into us being at Trefethen over 3 hours! Thanks very much to Michael, he made it a memorable experience for my wife and me!

Yelp
Awesome experience! We did the 90 minute Tasting at the Villa, which included a lovely charcuterie board. Upon entering, we were welcomed and our host came to escort us to the villa and gave us a tour of the grounds on the way, as well as the rich family history of the winery. I didn't know he was the former CEO of Kaiser. Although I'm not generally a big Chardonnay drinker, I have to say theirs was very good...not as oaky as most, which was a nice change. The 2018 reserve Cabernet was the highlight. Don't miss out on their olive oil...it was my favorite part!

Yelp
This winery is less than one mile from the Cottages at Napa Valley that we stayed at for the week. The winery is now 3rd generation and was started in 1968. The wine tasting was great as were the wines. This being Halloween month they had a lot of decorations out and some weee hilarious as you will see in my short video that I posted. I give the winery a solid 4 1/2 stars!

Michael S.

Yelp
We did the reserve tasting in the villa along with a charcuterie plate. The charcuterie was excellent. The wine was not our style, certainly not at the price point they were asking, and I was OK with that. You can't win them all. What I wasn't ok with was that once our server picked up on the fact that we didn't like what he was pouring, and that we weren't planning on buying anything... we were ignored and didn't speak to him again. We had to ask one of the runners whether we were paid up with our reservation, which we were. So we then left. I'd like to think he was just having a bad day, but this was easily the most disappointing experience of our trip. I get that they are there to sell bottles but when you are charging $70 for a tasting, I don't expect to be looked down upon for passing on bottle purchases.
google avatar

Linda S.

Yelp
So I must say Emily, our server saved the experience. If not for her, one star. The vibe in this place was off. The greeters, not welcoming. The feel of the entire place dark and heavy. This is going to sound weird but it's like a darkness that couldn't be stopped. We wanted to order a charcuterie but evidently we had to book it in advance. They had bread sticks which were good but not what we wanted. The wine was ok. The Malbec was the definitive highlight although the rose was a surprise in a good way. Would I go back, no way. Would I recommend, nope. If you do go, ask for Emily, she's truly amazing.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about my visit to Trefethen. The grounds are beautiful and so is the winery itself. The employees are super friendly and made my husband and I feel so welcome. We did the food and wine pairing and had no regrets! The wine and the food were amazing! It was a very personal experience. We were seated on the couch in front of the fireplace. There were a couple other couples there but they were seated in different locations so it truly felt we were the only ones there. We learned so much about the winery's background as well as the wine from our hostess. The chef explained I'm detail our food and it's flavor profile. It was a truly amazing experience all around!

Yelp
For my first time visiting Napa, I must say I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to visit Trefethen Family Vineyards with my own family. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt personalized and welcoming. I look foreword to receiving my shipment of wine to add to my collection and returning in the near future.

Yelp
This winery was wonderful. The wine was very tasty and our server was very informed. He gave us all the information about each wine and gave us recommendations for what we would each like based on our preferred taste profiles. You could also tell it was a family winery and that they genuinely cared about the wine and their customers. The ambiance was beautiful. We did not try any food - but overall great experience. Very pretty winery too

Yelp
This was our first winery in Napa and it was amazing! We did the reserve tasting and it was truly special. Amazing grounds, delicious wines, and spectacular service. A memorable experience!

Yelp
Amazing winery! I've been to my fair share of wineries in Napa and Trefethen is now my favorite. The place is absolutely beautiful; I especially loved the drive in that takes you down a scenic road between their vineyards. I booked a 3pm Sunday tasting for four people a couple days in advance. We were seated within just a couple of minutes upon arriving in the outdoor area. Every table was taken and it was full of warm vibes and laughter. Our guide Josh was fantastic and hilarious. Had so much knowledge on the wines and the history of Napa in general. Also was very attentive and gave us great recommendations for dinner (which we ended up using!). The Riesling was our party's favorite and we bought a bottle to bring home. All the wines were delicious and I can't wait to come back. The tasting is also fairly priced at $45/person.

Yelp
We visited Trefethen on one of our Napa trips (we visit 2-3 times a year). We didn't have it on our list of wineries to visit nor had we really heard anything about it. The property is nice, you are encouraged to walk around and explore the vineyard. They tasting was out on a patio area which was nice. our server was Josh. Josh was very well educated on the Trefethen wines as well as wine growing and wine making. My friends and I all enjoy learning about the wine growing and making process so we were thrilled to spend time talking with Josh. He was such a pleasure to have as our host for our afternoon at Trefethen! We purchased a bottle of the 2019 Dragon's Tooth. Tasting fee was $45.
google avatar

Roz S.

Yelp
One of my absolute favorite wineries. From the first time I visited Trefethen, I immediately felt that it was a family owned and operated establishment that put immense thought and care into the experience of their guests. Our host was kind, well-informed, and made our visit memorable. Fast forward a couple of years and I made my way back with a friend that was in town, wanting to show her a winery I had full confidence would be an incredible experience. We had the most lovely time soaking up the beautiful scenery from their outdoor patio. The charcuterie board was absolutely amazing and their wine is certainly incredible. I would highly recommend visiting Trefethen on your next trip to Napa-- you will not be disappointed. Looking forward to many future visits.

Yelp
Cannot say enough good things about my experience to this family vineyard! We booked online and showed up a bit early to our appointed time. Our host, Clarissa (I think? It's been a while so I might be butchering this), was absolutely phenomenal- friendly, patient, and really met us where we were at in terms of wine knowledge. Checked up on us constantly (but not in a bad way) to see if we needed more water even after the tasting. The 5 wines were delish; my favorite was the Riesling. The charcuterie is also very yummy with an assortment of hard cheeses, meats, green olives (normally not a fan but I really enjoyed these), homemade jam and substantial crackers. Overall, you won't go wrong if you book with them!

Dianna K.

Yelp
This was our last stop during our 4 day trip to Napa Valley and it was a wonderful way to end our trip. Gregg was our host and was such a trooper, accommodating our numerous photo requests on top of providing top notch information on Trefethen, its history, and its wines. We asked some questions about wines on the menu that weren't part of our tastings and he was able to give us samples of a few of those. All of the wines were fantastic too. This is definitely a winery we would visit again and wine we would order again (we placed an order of 12 while we were their).

Yelp
I had memories of Trefethen for many years. We knew Chet Spooner and his daughter Janet. Many years ago we tried their Chardonnay when our grandmother married Chet. Since I tried their wine many years ago and knew some of the family we decided to go to the winery and give them our business and try their other wines. We did the reserve tasting. At the Villa. Atmosphere was great. Beautiful rooms and decor. Service was disappointing. They pour your wines and leave. No conversations, history about the winery, or any pleasantries. Just pour and leave you on your own. One of most underwhelming service we have experienced at a Napa winery. The wine itself was decent but not in our style. We like big Napa cabs with fruit and tannins. The reds we were poured were more earthy and lighter. Maybe trending toward the French style. Drinkable and good quality, but didn't stand out. But everyone has their own likes and styles so totally understandable. Solid winery with amazing atmosphere and decent wine. The main drawback was the service. Not at all welcoming or inspiring service. We will give them another chance and try the regular tasting next time. The staff in the main building was a lot more friendlier and social than in the villa. So maybe a standard tasting is the way to go?

Yelp
Reserved a Taste the Estate... Sally was cordial, professional and gave me time to enjoy each pairing. The walk through the gardens was amazing.... worth the $$. Also appreciated the beautiful presentation of the food. Daryl explained each dish, and most importantly, 'to sip first'! Cannot wait to receive my first shipment- and- to return in the fall!
google avatar

Yelp
We came here at the recommendation of a friend who lives in the area. We did the reserve tasting with Jenny and has an amazing time. The staff is clearly knowledgeable and answered all of our many questions and we had a great time with her. If you're a wine newbie like myself you'll learn a great deal. The wines were delicious and the accompanying charcuterie was thoughtfully put together. And the entire experience took place in a nice private room in the original home on the property. All around a lovely time!!
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance - as expected in wine country. Not sure if it was my palate for the day though - likely so- but the wine tasted veryy tangy . A couple of the whites were buttery to off set that flavor. Hot tip - bring your pup! You can enter a contest by taking some staged pics with the trefethen shwag and win a prize!!! Lots of great photo ops for you, your furry one or your human friends!

Yelp
We visited this winery since we had their 2019 Cab before. We didn't enjoy the cab, but we wanted to see if their other wines will be good or not. We made reservations 1-2 months back for Friday at 3pm. It wasn't too busy. Tasting was $45. We did all the flights: Essentials Flights, Small-lot flight, All Red flight. The wines are more on the light side. And the red wines had tannins. Not our type of wine. We thought the Dry Reisling and Quandary were ok. The best ones from the flights. Joe was nice and informative though. I don't think you can bring food here. I'm not even sure they serve food here. Wines were ok pour.
google avatar

Ann D.

Yelp
I love Trefethen wine and the vineyards are spectacular. They have great customer service and you definitely will need a reservation. The ambiance inside of the tasting room is very open with high ceilings and the place is spotless.
google avatar

Alisa V.

Yelp
Had a good time! Great tastings. Fun atmosphere. Friendly staff and knowledgeable. And don't forget to check out the "petting zoo."

David M.

Yelp
Still family owned. Great place for a visit. Food was excellent. Hunter did a great job with our tasting. I would ask for him as he is a sommelier. Was able to answer all of our questions. Sat outside overlooking the grounds and the pool. Beautiful!
google avatar

Sarah E.

Yelp
Trefethen was the highlight of my visit to Napa. The place is gorgeous and so well maintained. We checked in a bit early and perused their rustic indoor tasting area. We were then greeted by our tasting host Hunter who was the star of the show! Thoroughly knowledgeable yet light in his presence so you can enjoy the moment while not being talked at continuously lol The experience in the villa was exceptional. We were in a shaded spot outdoors with lovely views. Then the wines and noshes followed. My taste buds were flying! Needless to say I joined their wine club and can't wait to get a tasty box every quarter (which you can totally customize). 6 bottles cost $5 for shipping! So yeah I couldn't resist lol
google avatar

Livvie L.

Yelp
I visited Trefethen for the food and beverage tasting. Usually at a vineyard, the wine would be the main appeal, but here the food was just as good and the pairings were so thoughtful. The ingredients were clean and fresh, sourced mainly from their own farms, the food was actually filling (not just snacks), it was creative, and they were vegan friendly! The estate was pretty and cozy, and I enjoyed hearing about the property during the tasting.
google avatar

Hicks L.

Yelp
Just finished tasting at Trefethen Family Vineyards and had an amazing time! We did the "Reserve Tasting at The Villa" and are glad we did. The wine was great, the charcuterie was great and our guide Carrysa was great! We really enjoyed each of the wines and had to bring many of them home with us. We highly recommend Trefethen for not only the wine but also the experience.
google avatar

Alana D.

Yelp
I had a wonderful experience having a tasting here! I did the wine flight which was a tasting of 5 different wines and about a 1-1.5 hour experience. We were seated in a beautiful courtyard and served bread sticks with the tasting. The wine was very good, and I particularly enjoyed trying the dragons tooth and the cab franc. I feel some other wineries had wine I liked better, but the cost of $40 for a wine flight here was definitely worth it and happy I visited. The staff really made this a great experience as they were welcoming and very knowledgeable about their wines.

Judy E.

Yelp
Lovely outdoors, rustic inside, but very well appointed. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed their wines so much we joined their wine club. Excited to return in the fall for another visit!

Yelp
Had a lovely time tasting at Trefethen with friends! We came during the late afternoon and relaxed on their beautiful shaded patio. Trefethen's grounds are truly something to gloat about. From their lovely gardens to their beautiful water fountain; their estate is simply stunning. Michael was our host and he was such a charmer. This man knows his wines and it definitely showed. Trefethen has a variety of different tastings to choose from. We all decided to do their red wine flight since that's what they're typically known for. Although we all chose the red wine flight, Michael was gracious enough to pour us some of their Chardonnay. It was very bright and well balanced with subtle acidity. Very refreshing! We then embarked on several of their red wines. I can see why they're known for their reds; they're extremely tasty and the variety is generous. I really enjoyed their Cabernet Franc and their Dragon's Tooth Red Blend. Both were super smooth and well balanced. The Cab Franc was a bit bolder with a peppery finish but I really enjoyed it. The Dragon's Tooth was right up my alley! A jammy, fruity, and smooth drinking blend. I loved both of them so much that they ended up coming home with me. If you're hungry, they also provide the tastiest breadsticks that are individually wrapped during COVID. The setting is so relaxing here. All in all, we had a fabulous time here and Michael was awesome! Definitely a gem of a winery in Napa Valley and totally worth a visit.

Yelp
Such a cute place! We had reservations and was running late, but they were very accommodating! We had a little tour of the place after tasting and got to know a little bit more of the history behind it. I definitely would recommend coming to this winery and support their business

Norma F.

Yelp
Four gal pals visited Trefethen for a wine tasting and charcuterie pairing. Our tasting took place at the Villa on the property on the veranda, with the full attention of Aubrie. Our experience was made all the richer as she guided us through our tastings and answered our many questions. I was reminded how much I enjoyed the wine and came home home a member. Thanks so much Aubrie.

Deimante B.

Yelp
First time I came to this winery when my family was visiting from Europe and since then I am a member of this beautiful winery. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, wine is delicious and location if beautiful.
google avatar

Kimberly N.

Yelp
First off, I really enjoyed this place because of the staff and the fact that they are dog friendly. The wine tasting was just okay, I was not too impressed with anything in particular. My favorite was the quandary, super affordable at $26, wish I would have stocked up on more bottles.
google avatar

Afshin A.

Yelp
Delicious wine, great people! We decided to make a daytrip to Napa on short notice, so we did not made plans and certainly did not prepare. While on the way, someone in our small group of four found Trefethen Family Vineyards and convinced us that we should stop there not knowing that reservations were required! So when we arrived and walked in, we were told that we could not have a real wine tasting experience due to lack of reservation. The disappointment on our faces must have been so overwhelming that the gentleman who seemed to be owner/operator took pity on us and suggested that we could do quick tasting of the bottles that we were interested in at the counter. That was the best alternative available and we did not turn it down. While others were tasting I walked around a bit and shot a few photos. The wine is very good. We ended up buying a couple of bottles of red and rose, and the building is beautifully decorated. I do not pretend to know a lot about wine, but apparently Trefethen's location on Napa Valley floor has a mixture of soils that helps promote diversity in their wine program. According to John Ruel, CEO of the winery: "Areas with high gravel content are well-drained, thus suited to Cabernet Sauvignon in particular," he says. "Areas with richer soil are better suited to varieties like Merlot and Chardonnay." Their 2018 Estate Grown Chardonnay is a good example to try. It Received a rating of 93 and goes for around $38 per bottle.

Yelp
While in the Napa Valley recently, we arranged for a private tasting at Trefethen. We selected the reserve tasting which was hosted at The Villa (on property). Nice experience. The grounds are beautiful, and the reserve wines were fantastic. Each pour was generous, and our server was pleasant and knowledgeable. I will return. We left with multiple bottles of the following - The Cowgirl & the Pilot (2017), The Reserve Cabernet (2017) and a Red called Dragon's Tooth (2018). If you enjoy fine wine, you may want to give this place a try,
google avatar

Deb G.

Yelp
It has been a long time coming for my friend and I to get to do a tasting here. The last time we tried was 2014 right after the Napa earthquake and we couldn't get a tasting, but finally made it there today. Nick was our man. He was awesome. Let us do side by side tastings and explained a lot about the property and estate. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend it. The was yummy - Dragon's Tooth was our favorite, along with the dry riesling, Katie's Acre and more. Thanks again Nick for a great experience.

Yelp
I am so excited to write this post because it was that amazing! We randomly came across this winery and are so glad we did. Obsessed is the one word I would use to sum up the experience. The atmosphere is so comfortable and welcoming, the vineyard is beautiful, the owners and staff are so friendly, but I must give a HUGE shout out to one of their hostesses. Since the first time we came to Trefethen Carrysa Bird made us feel very welcome and it was very apparent that she was very knowledgable of not only the vineyard, but of every single wine she introduced to us. She is very charismatic so you can't help but love her. Whenever we make a reservation for a wine tasting we always make sure to request her as our hostess. The Trefethen family is very lucky to have her. I can't say enough about how terrific Trefethen Family Vineyard is so you'll just have to try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Kate G.

Yelp
I did get a timely response via email, but decided not to go because I didn't like having to pay in advance to create a reservation. I wasn't 100% sure my plans wouldn't change/timing would work out, so I could not go.

Paula D.

Yelp
We are so happy to have visited Trefethen again today. We had another fantastic tasting experience with Jenny. Every time we visit we learn something new about the wine making process. Love your new vintages. Can't wait for the villa parties in Spring and Summer!

Noah B.

Yelp
Came here for a tasting with some friends, one of whom is a member so the tasting itself was free. Great customer service throughout. We were helped by Gregg, and he told us about the wines as we tried them and offered extra tastings of whatever we wanted. The space itself is also beautiful. They just added pavers to their outside space, which we were told used to be just gravel. Went home with a couple bottles. Would happily return!

Sonam B.

Yelp
Celebrated my 2nd anniversary at this gorgeous vineyard with a vegetarian tapas + wine pairing experience and it turned out to be the most perfect date I could have asked for! The food was beyond exquisite and the wine was incredible, service was phenomenal too! Our server also did a little photo shoot of us while showing us around the lovely property. Definitely visiting this vineyard again and hoping they get back their chocolate + wine pairing menu someday!
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
I loved the tour. Our tour guide was funny and very informative. I would recommend going!

Yelp
We went to a bunch of different wineries in the napa and sonoma areas on a recent trip and Trefethen definitely stood out as the favorite amongst our group! They were all so kind and helpful, the indoor area is beautiful and well decorated, and the wine tasted great. The outside courtyard where we sat for the tasting was lovely - but even better was when our server took us for a tour of the gardens on site. The whole experience had a very homey feel to it and it did not feel overly commercialized like some of the other wineries. We really enjoyed this tasting and can't wait to buy more wines from them.
google avatar

T B.

Yelp
Amazing wine! Good prices (for napa) and great customer service. Shout out to Anthony who was super nice and informative for our upstairs tasting! Not pushy at all to buy wine and made us really enjoy our tasting. Gorgeous property also.

Yelp
We had such a nice time at Trefethen. My husband and I have been to a lot of wineries in the area but on this trip we were specifically looking for something that would also appeal to my parents, who were spending a weekend with us nearby but are basically non-drinkers. Trefethen was more than happy to accommodate us, and treated my non-tasting parents with just as much hospitality as they treated the two drinkers. The grounds were beautiful and the tasting room was decorated for the fall harvest- absolutely gorgeous, very homey and inviting. Our host poured my parents some grape juice made on the property and we all enjoyed tasting the much sweeter and better juice than what you can get in grocery stores. The wines were also fantastic, all very drinkable but with plenty of complexity to hold your interest. I love a good Napa winery that knows more than just cabs, and Trefethen fit the bill. We left with a few bottles- Dragon's Tooth was a standout Malbec blend- and will definitely be back.

Yelp
My partner and I have been members of Trefethen for several years, and not only love their wines, but both agree that they produce the best value wines in the valley. You won't find this kind of excellent wine for such reasonable prices anywhere else. As a matter of fact we're always recommending the brand to restaurants we dine at, since many restaurants don't feature many Napa Valley wines on their menus because they consider them to be too pricey for the average consumer. Trefethen wines are the exception to this rule. They have a very large property which they've owned for a long time, and the majority of their grapes are grown in the vineyards at this location, so I believe that's part of the reason they can keep their overhead low, and it's awesome that they pass along the savings to their customers. Every time we visit, the service is excellent, and today was no exception; our tasting guide was Nick, who was friendly and engaging. Looking forward to our next visit in the near future.

Great wine and even better service! We've been wine club members for 2.5 years and enjoy bringing friends and family with us to the winery!
