The food was absolutely amazing! Our Sommelier was well educated and excited about our wine and while I am no wine connoisseur I can appreciate his knowledge on it. As a foodie and culinary graduate, I was SO excited for this dinner and it did not disappoint. Every course, from the house-made rosemary focaccia to the Italian coffee service, every single bite and drink was just as incredible as the last. I cant possibly recommend this place more. A hidden gem in Fresno/Clovis! The only reason for a slight dock in atmosphere was due to a group of influencers and their super bright light interrupting the end of our dinner. Super happy we didnt have to deal with that the whole time. Otherwise, the restaurant itself is so beautiful. Intimate, peaceful, calm...perfect for enjoying a fancy experience.

Google
Absolutely amazing experience, you can tell when you are at a great restaurant when you walk in and just feel welcomed. The food here is very delicious, portions are right on point, and overall the atmosphere, vibe, ambiance was perfect! I highly recommend you make your reservations now and come experience this wonderful restaurant!

Wonderful food and wines. The food course is great. Very relaxed atmosphere. Delicious food. Wine selection is great.

Google
The food here is almost always delicious. And they have an excellent wine selection. I went for my birthday and they had my name printed on the paper menue which was a nice touch! Did the 5 course meal and it was just the right amount. The bread and butter, ratatouille, pork tenderloin and mushroom cannelloni...omg so delicious. The gazpacho was ehhh....tasted like blended salsa.

Google
t place and my husband had apple something cheesecake that taste as if they melted a white chocolate lindor chocolate and made a cheese cake out of it. Over all loved rachel but the place and food was definitely not worth 250 plus dollar meal. The best thing about the night is that we made the best out of it we laughed and talked and gave funny descriptions to each food item. The end thank you for reading one of the longest review but it's the truth.now Not saying to not go here, I am just saying to go but do not expect a 5 star Michelin meal even though it is served that way.

We were kindly welcomed and immediately seated. We had made a reservations the day before which was a Tuesday; reservation for Wednesday. The menu had our last name printed on it which was cool and unexpected. They offer a pre-planned menu (with a few options per course) that included a starter, first and second course, an entree, and dessert. We requested the wine pairing (additional charge) and we weren't disappointed as we ended up buying a bottle of one of the wines served (see pictures). The first course (Heirloom tomatoes, Basil Pistou w/whipped fresh Burrata) that I had was delicious; very small portion. I had the halibut for my second course; it was absolutely delicious. For my entree I selected the Kuro Wagyu Beef (additional charge); very tender and cooked to perfection. For dessert, I chose the Peach Pain Perdu and it was warm and scrumptious. Overall, the food with the excellent service culminated to a wonderful dining experience here in Clovis California.

Google
The restaurant is tucked away with an intimate atmosphere. Staff was friendly and efficient. My 3-course meal paired well beautifully- French onion soup, wild mushroom risotto, and wagyu steak - all of which were cooked to perfection. should I be back in Clovis, I will absolutely be back.

Google
Excellent service. Trevor explained everything in detail and helped guide us on our selections. Portions are small but after all the courses you leave satisfied. Quality of dishes were excellent. Great date night spot.

Yelp
I have been to many restaurants around the world and Trelio's food is exceptional. The presentation and explanations are outstanding. From the focaccia to the amazing mosaic salmon was amazing. The flavors of watermelon salad to the granita were superb. Service was of a 5 star restaurant. Outstanding wine menu. A quaint restaurant with remarkable ambiance.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went in on a Sunday around 5:30pm with no reservations. We were greeted and seated immediately by friendly staff! Before arrival we made sure to be aware that it was a prefixed menu and each person is $78, and each is served their own 4 course meal. Starter: - Each person is served their housemade focaccia; it was extremely herby and light served with a tablespoon of herb butter First Course: (we didn't get any photos) - Salad of Arugula, the dressing was perfect (not too much), the nectarines, pistachios, and goat cheese all mixed in beautifully giving a tangy and slightly sweet presence. - Watermelon salad: very lightly sweet, the tajin lime vinaigrette was a little too heavy, but loved the addition of red onions and cilantro, feta balanced it out adding a small touch of creaminess. Second Course: (our favorite) - Gnocchi with tomato concasse, packed with so much flavor in such a little dish. Gnocchi was perfectly soft and a small chew to it. Sauce was slightly roasty and garlicly. - Ratatouille, the polenta was super creamy and rich, topped with flavorful veggie ratatouille which balances very well with a light drizzle of san marzano vinaigrette giving a nice basil tang. Entrees (third course): - Chicken Roulade, chicken was very soft and juicy even when rolled in a thin layer of crust, with a nice slightly sour sauce with a nice light hints of herbs (oregano, maybe thyme + rosemary) - Wagyu Steak ($10 extra), meat comes medium rare (which I LOVE), very tender, served with light airy mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked green beans (cooked but still crunchy) dish was topped with a nice light and slightly creamy peppercorn sauce. Dessert: - Bread pudding, very light peach flavor with a nice sweet and creamy mascarpone. Personally I don't like the texture of bread pudding but my boyfriend enjoyed it, wish there was a little bit more peach. - Sans Rival Cake, this was perfect for me, crunchy, sweet, nutty. Layered crunchy cake with a light cashew meringue, and pistachio buttercream. The pistachio really stands out with I enjoyed and a side of fig compote (almost like a fig jam) very sweet and very prominent flavor. I suggest using it lightly but very delicious. Service: staff were very sweet and welcoming, they can offer details on each dish and are very helpful if in need of assistance. Overall Experience: definitely date night vibes and very calm ambiance. More suitable for adults, I don't suggest bringing children unless you want to pay $78 for each child so make sure to do your research. Will definitely be returning, possibly for an anniversary dinner!

Yelp
First fine dining experience for mother's day! Service - Was good! Lovely woman was super excited to guide us first timers around the menu and experience. Other waiters were full of enthusiasm and always kept an eye out for us. Ambience - Inviting and friendly. Super relaxed and intimate, lots of lovely plants, art, and some candlelight. Food - Interesting and delicious! We were full by the 2nd course. Lots of light flavors. 1st Course (salads) were peppery and slightly unusual for us but we enjoyed it very much. 2nd Course (pasta & risotto) were delicious! We got completely full off of those alone. Pork was fatty and juicy and the shrimp risotto was incredible. ENTREE was slightly less exciting given how amazing our 2nd course was. Duck was over seasoned but the puree sort of balanced it out. The veggie on the side was pretty tough as well. The wagyu was delicious but a little tough to chew but the broccoli and potato were amazing and made up for it entirely. DESSERT was incredible. The strawberry cannoli was super light and refreshing. My mom got a blueberry lemon bread which came with a small scoop of ice cream and it was pretty good as well. The price (~200) ended up being a little more than what I had planned for but it was worth it for my mom. This was an amazing first fine dining experience, thank you!

Yelp
Appreciate the new pre fixed menu dining experience and remodel. Welcoming but intimate ambiance. Service was great and enjoyed all the courses. Love that they use local resources from local vendors.

Yelp
I've been here a handful of times, the first many years ago before they started doing their current menu style. I really enjoy the prefix menu, and the course options that they currently offer. This is a special occasion for me, as the dinner for two with wine costs between $300-500 with tip. Making reservations online is preferred through their website. They have limited tables. You can also elect to do a wine pairing with each course. They come by and explain the origin of each wine and why it goes well with the plate that is coming out. The overall experience combined with the quality food is amazing. The 20% tip used to be mandatory and has recently changed. My only recommendation or preference is that I wish the coffee, chocolate and port was built into the prefix menu, and that the wait staff was dressed up slightly more. We will continue to make this a special occasion dining experience.

Yelp
The atmosphere at this restaurant is so great. The stroll to the front door is reminiscent of a European style small alley restaurant with hanging plants, and unassuming romantically lit tables. It is so beautiful! If it was not so cold, it would've been the perfect place to sit. We chose to sit indoors during this visit, which was warm, comfortable, and cozy. I wish I could remember the name of our server. Service was attentive and perfect, and he was so informative about every detail of the menu. Menu items are creative, local, fresh, and seasonal. I was there with two friends, in between the three of us, we were able to try many of the items on the menu. The pace was leisurely and we were able to relax and enjoy every bite. Definitely recommend Trelio. We can't wait to go back again.

Yelp
What a fun experience! First time back to Trelio since they transitioned to a fixed menu! We loved it! Especially the extra effort to celebrate our special day by printing a celebratory note on our menu! The staff are kind and very knowledgeable! Make sure you snag a reservation early so you can dine in this cozy restaurant!

Yelp
I went for a private party. For a private party you are away from the restaurant in a small quiet room. I thought we would be forgotten over there but the service team was on it. Some people ordered a bottle of wine while others just a glass and when they came the sommelier came and explained each bottle as well as letting us sample before we received our glass/bottle. This four course menu changes with the season and is a set price. I loved that they still had 2-3 options for each course and I can't wait to go back and try new things. Door was quick and delicious. I loved/hated the small portions because I wasn't too full by the time the main course came but sad because I wanted more of everything that's how good it was.

Yelp
Michelin style restaurant with great food and amazing wine pairings! My wife and I went to Trelio for the first time since they changed to a more Michelin style restaurant with lots of small courses and they delivered! The atmosphere when we arrived was very clean and romantic with the candles on the tables and low lighting. When we sat down the menu had our party name on the front which is always a nice touch that makes the experience just a bit more special! When the waiter arrived and asked us if we wanted still or sparkling water they went over the menu opinion which are; full course and half course which you both have to agree upon. You cannot have 1 person do the half and the other the full. If you are planning the full course come hungry because even though they are small plates it's a decent amount of food! They also talked about wine pairings which were extremely excellent and I would highly recommend it if you like wine! The Sommelier did an exceptional job at the pairings and we even took 2 bottles home! The food was great (especially the lavender smoked lamb tenderloin) and the service was top notch! I would highly recommend anyone to give Trelio a try if you want an upscale experience at a decent price compared to an actual Michelin restaurant (unless they become one which I believe is highly possible)!

Yelp
Wow!!! My sister and I went for dinner, we did the 4 course meal with the wine pairing and it was by far the best meal I have had in a long time! The wine was amazing and the food was so great!! Great service, great wine, great food!! Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Demure and mindful. I love intimate settings and this is a nice spot for those who like a quiet evening to wine down. The service was accommodating and welcoming. We did family style since we wanted to try everything. It's nice to create your own menu tasting with a group of friends or family. I love seafood so the crab cakes and Cioppino were my favorite. The lamb was tender and went well with the wine. Good Times with Good People & Good Food.

Yelp
My girlfriends and I like to do monthly dinners. Sometimes we get to try places we haven't been to before. One of the gals chose Trelio to venture to this particular evening. All I have to say is this experience was fun! I loved it. It is definitely a different dining experience than what I am used to. Trelio is located on Clovis Avenue in Old Town Clovis. Parking is available behind the restaurant or in front. We found the parking to be easily available. Reservations are required. They have four options for seating when you make your reservation. You can choose from their main dining area, library, garden patio or bar. Their website gives a detailed description of each. We chose the dining room when making our reservation. When you arrive at the restaurant, you will be immediately greeted. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Once you get to your table, take a peak at your menu. It has the last name of person who made the reservation on it. We thought was that pretty cool and a great personal touch to make us all feel welcomed. The menu is a prix fixe menu, but the dishes will change seasonally. There are two options to choose from. The option is their full menu which is a delicious 9 course meal. The second option is their abbreviated menu which is a choice of an entree or dessert. We decided to go with the 9 course option. This was a great experience as you got to experience various dishes. The staff who served us would describe each dish to us as they brought it out . Each dish definitely stood out on their own. I definitely recommend that you try out Trelio if you are looking for a very unique dining experience.

Yelp
Awesome experience. Great food and wine, excellent service and knowledgeable staff. Must visit in clovis town.

Yelp
Our go to for our Anniversary dinner. Last night did not disappoint again! The price fix menu has lots of variety to choose from. Our server was prompt, friendly, and frequented our table for all our needs. The tables were spaced enough to have an intimate conversation. The food was perfectly cooked, presented, and delicious!

Yelp
Adorable and intimate restaurant in the heart of downtown Clovis. Service is top notch, with highly educated server and sommelier. The menu even had my name printed on it from the reservation! I would recommend making a reservation--it might even be required. I did the Wine Pairing with each course and the sommelier came every time, poured the wine, and explained the pairing and tasting notes. The food is a carefully curated prix fixe menu (with options, check the website) with unique flavors. It is an expensive restaurant, but definitely a fun experience. Parking can be tough, especially on a weekend.

Yelp
Maybe the best meal we've had in Fresno/Clovis. Got the 5 course meal for dinner. Had a Cajun/Creole flair to new American/California cuisine. Appetizer of crab hush puppies with "ranch" were phenomenal- definitely tasted the crab but was subtle and weaved through it. French onion soup came in adorable bowl and was delectable. Caramelized onions shined through. The pastas! Got the raviole with meat and chanterelles on top with pesto that was different. Companion got the sun dried tomato with goat cheese and sautéed butter. Was almost getting full but the main entree of sole meunière, shrimp and scallops came which was classic French. Fish cooked perfectly with crispy outside and tender inside. He got the pork tenderloin which was also very tender over buttery mashed potatoes. Dessert was good but not wowed. Butterscotch panna cotta was very sweet and rich, and the almond florentine cookie on top was amazing. He got the bread pudding which was tasty but not the most unique. The wine pairings were excellent and really made the meal too. Our waitress' excitement and passion in describing the wines made the experience that much better. Ambiance is romantic quiet but can get loud depending on nearby diners. Parking is in the public parking lots across street or on street.

Yelp
One of the best places I've been to in town. The service is awesome, and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable in the things they serve. The food is filling and isn't overburdening. The flavors hit the spots, and the menu organizes the food so that each plate comes out at the right time and the right moment. The ambiance is nice, quiet, peaceful, serene. The price is right for the quality and experience. In fact, the food placement and schedule was in such perfect alignment, all my life problems went away. It was that amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
I would like to make this a math problem . So if you have five stars because the service and our waitress was absolutely amazing and you take three stars out because the food was underwhelming with how many stars will the restaurant be left with? Well let me explain why I got to my conclusion. My husband and I just moved here about a 1.5 month ago. We have lived in the best two cities that cannot disappoint when it comes to best restaurants and celebrations NYC and Chicago. First indication that this place looked a little sus? It was empty and it was only 6pm see when you pass by other restaurants like saizon or annesos or heirloom it does not matter the day or the time during the week, you always see a lot of people coming out of there. But who cares we are happy we will go in with positive attitude. You walk into a very cute passage way with beautiful plants, to walk into more plants in the restaurant still very pretty but not something out of this world but Rachel which is the reason why we gave this restaurant five stars greets us so nicely. She Hands over our menu that has our names and it says happy 19th anniversary So right away we are like ok ok this is nice we have the place to ourselves and the menu thing is a nice touch. So it's a very vintage looking place with many plants around and jazz music playing not complaining but everything is being set up to make you think that you are about to have the best meal of your life that is straight life changing. No is just regular meals that each one was underwhelming they almost had it but not quite had it,specially for a prefix menu. Starters I had a wedge salad with no wedge that was just lettuce with whatever it is that goes on a salad and smothered with blue cheese so already the most popular salad is getting a one. My husband gets the butternut squash soup great presentation but it just tasted like an overdressed baby food dish. It was edible but not life changing. So my husband also gets the wine pairing with each of his meals and with each one comes a great story. This was the wine that was first created and this was the first wine that was actually drank after the Declaration of Independence. Loved it great stories on the location where the wine was made and the types of grapes that were used that thanks to Rachel's enthusiasm we loved every tale. Now for the first meal I have bolognese something . Again underwhelming nothing exciting or something that was so tasty that you are dreaming of going back. The meat tasted like refried beans with Parmesan cheese. I wish I can remember what my husband had but I took a picture it's like a long ravioli that you could've made yourself if you go to Trader Joe's and buy it. lol But I do remember tasting one of his last meals which was the wagyu. I've tasted wagyu before and that was more like wag eeu while they tried to get fancy on the broth. It's a brandy with a reduction beef broth and other herbs honestly it tasted like a dish you will get at those diners that have no taste and they just give you the steak just smothered in high school gravy. As my last meal I had the sword fish that's also there in the picture . It was good but not delicious it was very meaty which was great it tasted like steak just in fish version. For dessert we had the bread pudding that was honestly the best thing I had in that place and my husband had apple something cheesecake that taste as if they melted a lindor chocolate and made a cheese cake out of it. Over all loved rachel but the place and food was definitely not worth 250 plus dollar meal for just two people. The best thing about the night is that we made the best out of it we laughed and talked and gave funny descriptions to each food item. The end thank you for reading one of the longest review but it's the truth.Im not telling you to not go here just don't go expecting the best like we did after we read amazing reviews. You will eat your food and maybe with each meal you will have your own description and story to tell. So go right ahead!!

Yelp
First time trying Trelio after wanting to for a long time, and boy was it worth the wait! It's a small place, so reservations are important. I was worried when booking they said they kept it around 68 degrees inside, so I did dress more warmly despite it being summer. Fortunately I was comfortable and didn't need my jacket, but was glad I had the heads up. Inside is quaint with low lighting and even personalized menus when you are seated at your table. The service was phenomenal and because they don't have a high volume of customers, they can give you a lot of attention during your multi course meal. My fiancé got the wine pairing with his meal, so for each course the sommelier came out to explain the wine choice for that course. Everything was beautifully presented and lovingly made. The flavors were wonderful on all the courses. It is definitely expensive, so it's something more for special occasions probably, but goodness, what a treat! It was such a great experience overall and well worth it, especially if celebrating something special.

Yelp
The food was plated beautifully with each bite. The service was excellent and the servers were both very professional and genuinely sweet. The ambiance had the feel of fine dining. They have three different places you can choose to sit and depending on the weather. It is a very intimate restaurant and the Library section is across the way in a completely detached area from the actual restaurant. The Library opens up when they are busy and mostly on weekends is what I was told. The staff was nice enough to show me around for their private events. If you are cold, they even provide soft blankets in case you get cold because they have to keep the restaurant at a certain temperature for all of the fine wines. We enjoyed our meal paired with different wines and will definitely try it out again!

Mo M.

Yelp
Really good experience. Delicious beginning with focaccia and fancy butter. Top notch service from Kelsey. We tried some wines at her suggestion. Wish they had more varied options by the glass. Still, she found some good options and we had a couple glasses. It's a pre fixe menu, but you still have some choices. It makes more sense to order first course, second course, entree, and dessert all up front. Then you can relax and enjoy as they bring the courses out one at a time. Nice palette cleanser before the entree and truffle after the dessert. Every dish we tried was a symphony of flavor unto itself. Salad lyonnaise, amazing! Risotto, mind blowing. Someone here knows how to cook at a high level. Entrees were good. Could've been warmer. Dessert.... Mmmmm. Bread pudding was delightfully light. Pistachio cheesecake with fig compote and biscotti crust blew us away. We really enjoyed our evening and the food. Hope to to come back soon.

Yelp
Celebrating our 21st anniversary at Trelio Restaurant was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for our special evening. The service was impeccable--attentive without being intrusive, and our server's recommendations were spot-on. The menu offered a delightful array of options, showcasing both creativity and classic elegance. The five course meal was a masterpiece, from the artfully presented starters to the rich, flavorful main courses. The highlight was undoubtedly the dessert, the pistachio cheesecake, which perfectly balanced sweetness and sophistication. Trelio's commitment to quality and attention to detail made our anniversary dinner truly memorable. It was more than just a meal; it was a celebration of our journey together, enhanced by the exceptional dining experience. We couldn't have asked for a better place to mark this milestone. Thank you, Trelio, for making our evening so special. Chris the owner should be incredibly proud of what he has created in the heart of old town Clovis.

Yelp
A true culinary and wine experience! We were in main dining area. We did the 5 course prex fixe menu with wine pairings! Superb! Bought a delicious bottle of Chenin Blanc to take home! Service was very attentive and personal! Ambiance was simple fine dining! Wonderful for special occasion or just a date night.

Andrew D.

Yelp
I... I... I can't even describe how incredible this restaurant is. From the sensational tasting food, to the incredible service by the staff, this place is beyond 5-star. I would rate it 500 stars if I could. If you're having doubts about dining here, let me tell you now. JUST DO IT. You won't regret it.

Pam V.

Yelp
This was a retirement dinner, and we were fortunate that it was a quiet night and the server truly catered to our every needs! The meal was fabulous and I plan to go back. If there were a way to give this restaurant, six stars, I would!
google avatar

Mailia H.

Yelp
The experience was amazing. I recommend this place for anyone who wants to try a course meal or for a special occasion. The service was wonderful and attentive. The food was delicious as well.

Jim S.

Yelp
This restaurant may claim to be a fine dining place, but it's not. The prefix menu is very over priced. The servers are very pleasant, but the service was very slow (supposedly because the kitchen is small.) By the time we were served, our dishes were cold and the portions were small. We are fortunate to be able to occasionally dine at some of the up-scale restaurants in the Fresno-Clovis area. This is not one of them. We wouldn't go back.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place for so long and finally did it on a Friday evening in June. Beautiful, tasty, fun experience-lived up to all expectations. Easy to find on one of the busy Old Town Clovis streets. We had a reservation but there were open tables so I'd take a chance on a walk in if you're in the area. We sat in the main dining area and saw the library room as well-so cute looking. We got a great table by a window, great atmosphere, quiet , and cool on a hot summer evening. I love that they have sparkling water on offer , along with an excellent wine list and an Italian beer I'd like to try next time. The tomato and greens salad I had was so fresh and delicious! I'd definitely get this again. Great portions, hoping next time to try their desserts. Beautiful dining experience in Clovis. Our waiter was excellent and provided amazing service.

Yelp
Always a great experience here. We made reservation for 530 pm on a Friday and was seated in the Library room. It was cozy and very quiet. There were 3 of us and we opt for 5 courses. Service was fun, relaxing and on point. We start with amuse bouche and get to chose our bread, soup/salad, pasta, entree, and dessert. I was shock at the options for the price. This includes the Wagyu. We pretty much try everything between the 3 of us. I'll show the pictures but it was impressive. Let say we had to have Togo boxes. Each dish was unique and delicious. This is not my first time but my quests was. They were very happy. I'd appreciate the little details since the menu was specialize with my name. This makes it a lot more special. In my humble opinion, this is the only true fine dinning in Fresno County. This will be the only place I want to visit when I'm in town again.

Yelp
Overall disappointed due to the quality of food and the price. The service wasn't the best, but during times of recession, I completely understand. The waitress was super nice and did apologize for being short staffed. The wine list was extensive and had good options. A bit overpriced in my opinion. I did overhear many times the waiters offering a sample of the chosen wine in case the customer didn't like it, which I think is a truly elegant move. My fiance had the opah fish and I got the duroc pork chop. We were disappointed as we really wanted the lamb, but it was no longer offered. The fish was an impressively thick filet, but he said it wasn't well brined. My pork chop left me wanting. 1/4 of it was all fat, the other 1/4 was dry, and the rest was good. I loved the crispy top, but other than that, I wasn't overly impressive. The pine nuts with it however were amazing. For two entrees and a sparkling water, I paid 100 dollars. I usually don't like leaving bad reviews, but I truly believe this place deserves 4 stars and has room for improvement. I enjoyed Lime Light or L'Apertif more than this place...

Yelp
Best fine dining restaurant in Clovis, maybe all of Fresno. Nice ambiance but excellent service and food.

Yelp
Came here for hubby's birthday. The ambience was romantic (we had the library room). The server was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Food was tasty. We got a scallop risotto and lamb shank. Delicious. It's a bit pricey but definitely good for anniversary or special celebration.

Yelp
Super cute place! Located in old town. Went on a date night and it was very fun, lovely menu, beautiful ambiance, nice wine. Go check it out.

Yelp
This place is incredible!!!! One night we'll out at a comedy show I walked by here and said one day I will try it out. Well finally the day came and it was one of the best experiences of my life foodwise. The service was top notch th staff was very attentive and really made it feel like a personalized experience. The ambiance was simply perfect lighting was perfect and the decor was lovely. We got to eat in the Library which was a nice surprise the decor was awesome especially with the plants made the room feel alive. Now for the food we got a 5 course meal with the wine paring. First time doing this but every single plate that came out was amazing the flavors melted together and made my taste buds dance. The wagyu was out of this world i have never had steak like this before but I am happy to say it was the best i have ever had, cooked perfectly and oh so very tender. What i really loved about the wine paring was they gave you a lot of information. Not jsut simply this taste good with this but why it taste good and a history of the wine some had some of the stories were so intriguing I couldnt help but stop eating to listen. I highly recommend this place so a fancy romantic night out with loved ones. I am not sure if there is a better place in Fresno. Right now this would be the King of restaurants in this city in my book.

Yelp
Old town Clovis does have some food gem's and this would be one! I'd highly recommend this place for a nice dinner for two max four. Any more than that will be a little tight as it is a smaller place. Make a reservation in. advance it's a must!! Service and staff are good they operate very well within their means. The menu is easy to maneuver good explanations of the food dishes that make the choice easy. Even more so if you check out their website prior to going. Food was excellent to say the least! Chefs know what they are doing here! Started off with sweet corn and crab hushpuppies with Calabrian chili basil ranch dip. Nice flavorful and definitely got the palate off right Wine forgot the choice but we had a red Main course 8oz waygu top sirloin steak with baby carrots potato gnocchi in pecorino sauce hen of the woods Demi - 5/5 for me well prepared done right great flavor Pasta Finocchio Tortellini shrimp leek lemon cream sauce 4/5 Dessert White chocolate Pistachio bread pudding and pistachio gelato 5/5 Wish I took pics of the food pairings but a selfie unfortunately will have to do. I definitely give this place a 5

Yelp
First of all, we went there for a really nice dinner ordered a really nice glass of red wine from Napa when the waiter delivered it he said they were out so he gave us a local from Madera for the same price immediately put a bad taste in her in her mouth then we ordered our entrée and they didn't have what we were wanting so we for settle for our second choice. For the prices that they charge I will not be back to get what you don't want.

Yelp
I never venture out to Clovis often, but I ended up at Trelio for a friend's birthday. I was a a little confused initially about the layout. It seems like the restaurant itself is broken up by separate sections. We sat in a small intimate section with great ambience. Our server was fantastic and full of great recommendations for a first timer. We started off with the crab arancini and focaccia which were both excellent. For my entree I went with their Oregano and Cavaallo Nero ravioli. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. We ended the night with the bread pudding. The pistachio adds a lovely flavor and the bread pudding was perfectly caramelized. I will most definitely have to come back for another visit!

Yelp
Our go to fine dining restaurant in the Fresno/Clovis area. They have the best wine list in the area and there is not really a second place. The menu is seasonal and changes quite frequently. It is tough to pass up the cheese/charcuterie board as they make all their meats in house. It is fun to try one of the many new pasta dishes (they rival Annex) and have much more variety. Their dry aged beef alone would make them the best steakhouse in town and the rest of the meat dishes are just as good. The service is amazing. Everyone is friendly and gets to know you personally. They remember your preferences and make suggestions based on what you liked.

Yelp
Trelio was a great experience to have. The ambiance was amazing, the food was amazing, and the service was excellent. They really take your food allergies and/or dislikes into consideration at trelio.

Yelp
Love this place! Probably the best fine dining place in Clovis and top 5 in the Fresno area. We started with the focaccia bread and fried artichokes for an appetizer. The bread was out of this world. Crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle with a garlic dipping sauce that was very good and not over powering. The artichokes were crunchy with a good flavor. Would have liked a better dipping sauce for them though. My wife ordered the short rib with homemade pasta that was in a porcini cream sauce. This was one of the best entrees I have ever tasted. Just incredible. My seafood paella was good, not out of this world, but the fish, shrimp and mussels were extremely fresh. No fishy smell to them. We finished her birthday dinner with the cheesecake and that was better than most. Great flavor and very moist. My mom's still holds the number one spot. We shared a bottle of Effort Pinot. The taste of the wine was better than the earthy scent. Gotta love that slight smell of manure in a wine. All in all, it is a great place for top tier dining in a quiet and romantic type setting in the heart of downtown Clovis.

Yelp
The service and ambiance of this local gem are outstanding. If you're looking for a fine dining, date night, celebration and love California inspired Italian food then this is the spot for you. Our server was exceptional, offering helpful knowledge when requested. We started with their half dozen oysters and duck confit, both delicious! The oysters were small but amazing quality. The handmade pasta was soooo fresh and delicious! And the flourless chocolate tarte for dessert was OUT OF THIS WORLD (only for the decadent loving!). They have a romantic low light, and the seating offered inside is limited making it feel more intimate. They also offer dining outside under a beautiful canopy of foliage. If you're a wine lover they have pages upon pages of wine by the bottle, both domestic and imported. Definitely recommend if you've never been before!

Yelp
Wonderful wine and food, carefully curated by Chefs Chris Shackelford and Ross Verzosa. A wonderful meal for a special event. The sommeliers will carefully help you choose the perfect wine pairings. From the amuse bouche to the dessert, from the setting to the service, this is a spectacular experience you will remember forever.

Yelp
This was the first restaurant we tried when we relocated here, and it did not disappoint. The indoor ambiance reminds me of French Bistro and an Italian wine cave. Very romantic and tastefully done. The menu is well done with a traditional Italian flow, meant to be a slow and long dining experience with lots of food and wine. Definitely follow the reviews and order the crab cakes. Exceptional. I've never had anything like that before. I think their menu changes seasonally because there were some items I saw through the reviews but they were not available when we visited. Ask your server for recommendations! That did not disappoint.

Yelp
I give this place a three star for a few reasons. I'll start by saying the food isn't bad but it's nothing special either. I came for brunch and I wasn't impressed for the price. Maybe dinner is better, I don't know. The service is decent. They were kind, they filled our waters, took our order timely. The big complaint I have with service is that they don't have high chairs. And I understand that not everywhere has to accommodate my kid, BUT I tried to call before hand to ask if they had one and they don't have anyone who works the phone. It's just a generic message. That kind of threw off the experience for me. Overall it was ok. I wasn't super impressed.

Yelp
Easily our favorite restaurant in Central CA. We've been regular visitors since the year 2000. The staff are phenomenal, food is epic & the wine list "the stuff of legend". If I can choose where our last meal happens- it's here. Luv ya!

Yelp
My wife and I have eaten here a few times. It is usually a good experience. The food is pricey and the parking can get frustrating especially on a Friday night. I can't recall of the top of my head all the dishes I have had there. But I know the burrata is solid. The wine menu is rich. The scallops (when I had them) were also flavorful and subtle. It was a good balance. The cons of this place is really the dessert menu. It is seriously lacking in creativity and originality. I would say there is a lot of wiggle room in this area and for the restaurant to experiment here more. It can be a fun and light hearted way to end a meal.

Yelp
Came for another private event in the private room. They fixed their AC but now it's too cold. Focaccia and charcuterie boards were well made and came out promptly. I was excited to see wagyu as an entree selection, but after taking 5 orders, the waitress announced they were out of steak, which seemed like poor planning for a group of 12-15 people to only have steaks for 5. She took all our orders then came back 10 min later to say they have more steak so people changed their orders; seems like some poor communication. The cherry soda was refreshing and melon salad was a good mix of flavors. The main course took forever and came late when the presentation was already done. Wagyu came sliced thin and room temperature; since the room was so cold, it got cold real fast so I had cold steak for half of my meal. The bread pudding was warm and the perfect temperature. Overall, the appetizers were creative with a good mix of flavors (the steak which was disappointing and a waste of wagyu). They need to figure out the AC and how to serve entrees to large parties more promptly, before the food gets cold and people are wanting to leave. Their main dining experience may be better for a leisurely dinner when you have time to enjoy your company while waiting for food.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. 12/10. Be prepared to spend $$$ but worth every penny. My server (Gary I believe was his name!) was also on top of everything. Hard to find good service anymore!!
