The Best Happy Hours in Denver | Eater Denver

"Not only does this Park Hill wine bar sell about 40 wines by the glass in a split-level lounge worthy of a design magazine spread, but it offers them all for half-price from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday (the same goes for select bottles on Wednesdays). Better still, each pour is more interesting than the last: While the blackboard list is ever-changing, it might at any given time feature skin-contact Zibibbo from Calabria, Croatian Pošip, or a varietal Pinot Meunier from Mendocino County." - Ruth Tobias

This place is AMAZING! Fantastic wine from all over the world. Their menu changes regularly and they always have a great selection. Looking for some new wines?! This is the palce. Great ambiance, upscale but casual at the same time. Warm and inviting. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Plus their happy hour Monday through Friday rocks! Go say "Hello" bring your friends, have some great wine and snacks!!

Google
Love the chill, but still comfortable atmosphere of this chic wine bar. The bar seats were lusciously cushy velvety and the a decent height for short people like myself (some bars are just too crazy tall, you know?). The wine list, artfully written on a backboard wall, was easy to read, and required no paper menus, and more importantly, no obnoxious QR Codes. I truly loved the diversity of wines- high end, esoteric, and value wines merged into a well-curated menu. The bartender was knowledgeable and up to the challenge of picking a wine for me based on my likes/dislikes- a delightful orange wine that was not overly tannic. The charcuterie board for sharing was an excellent size and amusing to munch on while chatting. Top marks for this place! Recommended to anyone who wants to enjoy or explore wine.

Google
What a chic spot! My friend and I both had one of those kinds of days and we went in and just had the best time. The front door is a bit hidden so here are some photos of my friend sitting on the rail leading to the front door. If you live outside the neighborhood, it’s worth the trip!

Google
Pleasantly surprised with Trellis. Don’t scoff at this neighborhood wine bar. Diana took care of us, and provided practical wine knowledge. The HH is not to miss! Excellent service. Would come back.

Google
Had such a fun time at Trellis! Came with a group of 6 on the weekend and the staff got us comfortable real quick. Everything from the “RFG” marked wines were incredible, especially the Rosé! Had a delightful charcuterie board. Can’t wait for next time!

Google
LOVE the atmosphere at this amazing wine bar! Friends and I did the wine tasting and it was phenomenal! The owner is so knowledgeable, friendly and fun. She's definitely passionate about her craft and the tasting was like solving a delightfully delicious mystery! Thanks for a wonderful evening!

Google
Oh my gosh! Went for happy hour, stayed for the vibe. Welcoming, not pretentious. The staff are knowledgeable and super friendly. The interior design is stellar too: cozy, pretty, intentional. The wine menu is unique, and curated and not too overwhelming. Prices are a bit high and the happy hour is literally one hour, so come right at 4p! Half priced apps and glasses, Wednesday is half priced bottles. We got the spinach artichoke dip, it was delicious but we could have ordered two more, really small portions. Overall very impressed! I'm totally bringing the girls again!

Google
Great atmosphere, but everything else is underwhelming. Wine pours were small for the price, and honestly some of our wines tasted almost old? I don’t know. I have some wine education behind me and something was off with more than one wine. Service was great, very attentive. I would say food leaves something to be desired, maybe I didn’t order the right things but what we had just didn’t do it, felt like something that could use slightly more thought.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVED this wine bar! The location was super convenient and there is plenty of street parking. The ambiance is both modern and cozy. Lots of live plants, comfy couches and cute dim lighting from lamps to really set the vibe. My bartender, Allison, was very knowledgeable on wines and helped me choose a couple based on my taste and price preference. The other patreaons were friendly and it just felt like such a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I was given a loyalty card and certainly will be returning, whether I'm in the mood for a glass of wine with a good book or for a date night with the boyfriend to enjoy a tasty charcuterie board.

Yelp
Trellis is a great wine bar with friendly and knowledgeable owners. They have cute decor in this airy two-story space. We went for a special Paint and Sip event with Vince. Our wine, a Menetou Salon Blanc, was a perfect pairing for our painting session. I didn't get a chance to try the food, but they have several small plate options. Happy Hour runs 4-5pm M-Th and 3-5pm on F with all glasses of wine half off.

Yelp
Great spot to go for happy hour wine. They have ample seating and a big selection. Street parking. The wine is 1/2 off a glass during happy hour. The staff were friendly and helped us all find our perfect glass of wine. The couches were cozy and we were immediately greeted with water. They even had nonalcoholic options too.

Yelp
Always such a great place to chill and enjoy some great wine. They also have tasty snacks to go with your wine.

Yelp
Excellent wines that you won't find elsewhere. Hand cut meats and delicious options for charcuterie boards. Fun tasting classes in small groups to sip and learn.

Yelp
Wine, delicious. Service and food/food choices were okay. Loved the ambiance, a cozy place to for a chat.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this wine bar. The couches were super comfy and cozy for the four of us. Charcuterie was awesome. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable.

Yelp
Maybe wine's not my thing but I found this place just ok. The wine was a bit pricey at $15-$25 a glass. The space itself has potential but instead of a cozy laid back vibe, this space went with chic industrial which made it extremely loud and difficult to hear or be heard. They tried to soften the space with a number of impressive plants -- ZZ plants and birds of paradise all of which I loved and helped bring some natural elements into an otherwise uncomfortable venue

Yelp
Denver has really been surprising me with the wine bars lately. I'm rather obsessed with Trellis. It's only 15min from my house haha! The space is great, open, yet cozy seating. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a super fun and interesting wine selection, which I love. The more varietals or regions I've not tried before, the happier I am! We were there on a Sat and they had bruncharcuterie board which was hard boiled eggs, waffles, yogurt w/fruit, bacon, and marcona almonds. I loved it! It was effectively finger food b'fast. I wanted to move in but they closed for an event so I couldn't sadly, lol. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I love me a wine bar and Trellis for the bill. Chalk full variety of wines that I have not heard of so that is fun. The wine prices are on the average of what you see. The mark up is pretty substantial, but they make their money per glass so I get it. Happy Hour is the way to go since every glass is 50% off. The downsize is HH is 4-5 which is early and short. The aesthetic is cool and plenty of seating. There was one staff member and she was hustling and yet very helpful and pleasant. My only beef would be the snacks. The charcuterie is the only thing to order. The Brie and apple is terrible. I am assuming they do not have a full kitchen based on the snack menu. There are so many options to consider - the more you eat, the more you drink. Will I go again, yep. Should you go, yep.

Yelp
The service and atmosphere were excellent and the wine delicious. Love this place!! Shout out to Alisha for creating it.

Yelp
Such a great wine bar. One of the owners Alicia was working the bar when we came in. Super knowledgeable and kind will be back for many glasses of wine. We didn't have any food but it all looked awesome as well.

Yelp
This is such a cute place! I went with a big group and it was order yourself at the bar. The servers were very friendly. Some of the wines were definitely on the expensive side, but they also have a variety, so I was imagine you could find something that fits your needs.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, knowledgeable team and a unique selection of high quality wines. Didn't try the food - so the jury is still out on that but I like the wine

Yelp
We had our first experience at Trellis, and it was wonderful! The staff and owner were knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. There is a wide variety of wines, and the ones we had were delicious. The prices and types of wine and cheese are clearly marked on the chalkboard. The charcuterie and snacks were great. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
My friend and I were looking to find a nice glass of wine after work and are so happy we came here! It's a beautiful spot and the bartender who served us was fantastic - super knowledgeable and helpful in describing the wines, let us try some to make sure we were happy with our selection, and great at checking in. While some of the prices were high, it was certainly not outside the norm of other nice bars with a good wine selection. They also sell bottles to go, so we grabbed bottles of rosé from the flight to take home with us. Some reviews have mentioned price concerns - they were super transparent with us but even so, we asked for clarification once or twice when we got to thinking about taking bottles home and had no issues at all. There's markup, yes, but it was by no means beyond what would be expected. They advertise a happy hour from 4-5, which feels a bit early but we'll keep in mind if the timing works out in the future. We didn't try any of the charcuterie, but it looked like there were plenty of options and the people who got it seemed quite content with their selection! Overall, I was super pleased with this place and will absolutely be coming back!

Yelp
Beautiful and delicious charcuterie boards and an awesome selection of wines by the glass.

Yelp
First of all I find it incredibly suspicious that Trellis somehow wasnt appearing on yelp for a few months, I know this bc my dad wanted to write a review that they didnt inform him about happy hour prices when him and my mother went. I tried out trellis b/c I grew up in Park Hill and we never had stuff like this when I used to live there. This place is offensively overpriced, and mind you I live in NYC now. I cant imagine how people afford non-happy hour prices. The gentrification of Park Hill has been a bit painful to watch, and trellis is no exception. I can think of much better places to spend your money.

Yelp
Well the wine is very good. The server seems to "forget"" to disclose prices and we have be surprised twice with a $50 bill for two glasses of wine. Once we were recommended a $20 glass of wine. That is excessive especially with such a small quantity of wine. The glasses are only filled a third of the way. We really want to like this place but it seems underhanded in pricing. In addition the Happy Hour did not cover flights of wine. They did not honor the misunderstanding.

Yelp
We absolutely love this place! Great vibes, amazing wine selection, and really kind and helpful team of bartenders. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I love this place! I take people there all the time who love a robust wine variety and charcuterie. The service is outstanding and the vibe is chic. A great place to unwind after work.

Lauren R.

Yelp
Such a beautiful place filled with friendly servers! They are very knowledgeable about the wine, and make amazing recommendations. The food was delicious, and locally sourced!! Amazing place for a date or drinks with the girls! Highly recommend you visit!

Yelp
I picked this wine bar to host a work holiday gathering for 20 people. The space, service, wines and food were all top notch! They made it so easy and I was able to enjoy the party since they took care of everything. The space they have for parties is a loft upstairs above the main bar and is great for a gathering. I worked with one of the owners prior to the party, let her know my budget and food and wines choices. She was so helpful and it made the evening of the party go so smoothly. If you are looking for a great neighborhood wine bar, definately check out Trellis Wine Bar.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Wines from all over the world, varietals that are rare in America. The place is beautiful and spacious. Upscale but casual. Such a lovely place. The service is great with employees who know their wine. Don't know what you want? Ask for a recommendation or a sample! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food is really good and all gluten free. Best charcuterie boards in Denver!

Spencer K.

Yelp
One of the best wine bars I've been to. The wines are phenomenal, the food is great, and the staff are humble yet incredibly knowledgeable. One of the owners is a lvl 3 Som... so you know you're going to get great wines here!

Yelp
Trellis is a warm and inviting space in a great Denver location. The wine list is perfectly curated to offer delicious and unique options for every pallet. Tasty small plates, gorgeous decor and attentive service top off an elegant but accessible experience. Great for groups or an intimate date night, Trellis is already a favorite in Park Hill.

Keith A.

Yelp
Great neighborhood wine spot. Fun and creative wine selection and a very friendly team.

Julia W.

Yelp
The wine was super delicious and the space was sunny and comfortable in the afternoon. We got some tasty nibbles to go with our wine. The wine was very very good. That's all I really need, so 5 stars.

Kelly P.

Yelp
A friend and I went to Trellis last night and it was fantastic. It is in a fantastic location with plenty of street parking. It is right next to a park and other restaurants. Super chic interior decor and a very large wine list written on a large chalkboard. We also tried the charcuterie board and liked that we got to pick which meats and cheeses we were served. This is a great space for a girls night out or a date night. Also, I think this would be a good space to host a bridal shower or a small get together.

Austin S.

Yelp
If your looking for a nice little date place this is an absolute must. I love the selection variety and the staff is quite knowledgeable. Oh and they put on tasting classes which I hope to attend soon!
