I definitely recommend checking this place out! It has a great selection of traditional Nicaraguan dishes which is difficult to find in the valley. I hadn't had Nicaraguan food, and while it's similar to other Central American cuisines, it has its own flavor which is worth enjoying. The carne asada was well cooked and seasoned and came with plenty of extra sides. We also had the baho which was really good and something new for me. I love Yuca frita con chicharrón, but this added an extra flavor and instead of chicharrón it was a perfectly cooked pork which came apart easily and was full of flavor; plátano maduro was something new for me too, but I was impressed by how savory and tasteful it was. I noticed cacao on the menu, so I tried it for the first time and it was really good. For me it was similar to horchata de morro but with a natural sweet chocolate taste. The service is really great too. Our server Rebeca was really friendly and explained the dishes well to us, she made us feel at home; we were later helped by a Yadira who was also very kind. The restaurant is well kept, very clean and organized. They also have an outdoor eating area which is really nice to see! I do recommend coming in a group if you want to save money, because the prices are pretty steep. The dishes come in big portions, and one carne asada plate filled two of us easily. In all, if you haven't had Nicaraguan cuisine this is a good place to be introduced to it

I recently came in with my family and we had an absolutely amazing experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food was delicious, everything came out fresh and flavorful, and the portions were great. The customer service was on point from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome. We’ll definitely be back and will be recommending this spot to our friends and family!

We were so happy to find a new Nicaraguan restaurant in the valley and decided to check it out. We've been two times and have tried the carne asada, fritanga, enchiladas, and baho. The baho was so juicy and flavorful and the fritanga was delicious. The owners were extremely friendly and hospitable. I truly hope their business thrives and I can't wait to be back.

Upset because I love Nicaraguan food and was glad to have one in the valley. Service was nice but the take FOREVER. Honestly I don’t know why they take so long the gallo pinto was CRISPY AND HARD from sitting out for so long (gross) & the chicken, pure bones. Honestly do not recommend. Almost $20 for crunchy rice and for service to take SO LONG. Save your money and go somewhere else for Nicaraguan food. The cacao was SO GROSSS I couldn’t drink it. Not even sugar and too watery ( it’s made with milk & still watery?) I left it.

Really bad service. Food is awful and is a disrespect to the Nicaraguan Gastronomy, I when three times and try different plates and all of them disappointed me. Definitely not going back never

I love this place ! Unbelievable great place ! As soon as you walk in , they treat you with a smile, great hospitality. You really feel like a family member. The food is delicious, creative, tasty, and with a beautiful presentation. The best thing is that they are fast ! By the way, they have great Latin music in the background. There are seats inside and outside. Great for parties. I strongly recommend this place to everyone who wants to enjoy good music, great food, and good people.

The food and service was amazing. Every dish that we ordered was top notch. From the nacatamal, tostones con queso, fritanga, queso frito, to the Cacao drink was delicioso to name a few. You will not be dissatisfied. Can't wait to visit again and so happy to have a Nicaraguan restaurant that my family can go to that is close to Santa Clarita.

I stopped by the restaurant last week while I was having service done on my car, and what a wonderful experience!!! The food was flavorful and fresh (though I did have to google some dishes because I'm not too familiar with Nicaraguan food.) But, the waitress was AMAZING, (Camille?) she explained everything to me and she was so helpful and patient! She was able to look after the whole restaurant and give me the extra attention that I needed. The next time I'm back in the area, I will definitely go back!

It was a long drive to a shady part of Pacoima. The restaurant is located in a busy strip mall. The place is well decorated but unfortunately the AC was out and the heat was unbearable. Although the waiter tried, the food took too long to be served. Overall I would not come back to this place.

We did not even try it. The AC was not working and if my felt like a sauna. We waited over 35 minutes (by clock) and the food never came. We could not wait any longer and we had to leave (only 3 tables were occupied). There was a strong smell of sewage inside also. The prices are extremely high for a restaurant in the projects without any credentials. It needs ti improve overall in everything. First time at this restaurant, there was no parking. We are not coming back.

I really liked it the first time, the waitress was really nice and helpful. My other visits weren't as welcoming as the first one and the food also wasn't like the first time I kept coming until the last time when the food wasn't as good I got raw chorizo in the parrilla and the waitress wasn't that nice. I still give it a 5 stars bc I know how this affects small businesses and I know they will read this and improve it. My rating is for my first visit

Very authentic and flavorful. As a Nicaraguan I can say this is one of the best places to get Carne Asada plate with gallopinto. The place is very clean and service is great. Don't miss on the Cacao drink. It is something that once you try you would want to drink and come back again just for it. I am born and raised in Nicaragua and it is hard to trust and find great Nica food in the San Fernando Valley unless you make a trip to Pico-Union area. But if you live in the Valley you know you don't want to go too far for it.

Service needs improvement walked in right away was told there was a waiting time of more than 30 mins due to busy in the AM. There place was empty. I was like hmmm okay it's 3pm??? Waited more than 50 mins for them to "cook" gallo pinto that had ran out and was so cold when arrived at table very disappointed. Was ready to walk out. Was served Chia con Tamarindo and a super long dark hair was inside the drink. Asked for a new straw gave the straw and piece of hair wasn't asked how the hair got in the straw. Very dissatisfied

last week, my brother and I were driving by It was like 8:30 PM, and we saw the grand opening sign, we decided to stop by. We bought five nacatamales, three quesillos and a side dish of tostones con queso. when we got home, my family and I tried the quesillos and the Tostones and they were really really good. And Sunday we ended up eatingthe natamales. everything was so good though I decided to bring my whole family to eat today. We really had a good time. That atmosphere was really nice. The music was good. The service was very very good. I will definitely recommend this place for sure. Will be coming back.

A new restaurant had popped up in my neighborhood and it caught my eye because there isnt a lot of places to get Nicaraguan food in the valley. So I was excited to try it! When I walked in I was greeted warmly by the staff. I believe the restaurant is family owned. Kevin took my order and I asked what he would recommend as I have never had Nicaraguan food. I've only ever tried cacao from a friend back in HS and I loved it. He recommended the fritanga and I got the meat well done. It came with a generous portion of steak, chicken, and chorizo(I think). Accompanied with casamiento(rice and beans together), plátanos fritos (plátano chips and maduros), fried cheese, and a salad. I also ordered some cacao bc I had wanted to try it again as I remember really enjoying it in HS. The cacao came out first. It was delicious. It could be best described as an horachata salvadoreña with cacao nibs giving it a nice cocoa flavor. All of the meats were cooked well. My favorite being the chorizo and the chicken. Would recommend to anyone who is curious to try Nicaraguan food or is craving it. My one qualm being the menu not explaining the dishes a little more, I was a little lost looking at it but Kevin politely answered any questions I had.

Went with family members. It was our first time eating Nicaraguan food and hopefully, not the last. I ordered the Fritanga and it was delicious. I added nothing to it as it was seasoned perfectly. The Cacao drink I got was a little too strong for me and I had to water it down a bit. The woman who served us was great. She was very nice and described a lot of the plates for us since again, it was our first time eating Nicaraguan food. Will definitely return again.

The food and service here is amazing ! We were so excited to try this new local restaurant with traditional dishes. We ordered the fritanga plates, cacao drinks, and a tres leches cake for dessert. Food was DELICIOUS and we can't wait to visit again ! 10/10

Loved the chicken Breast bath on a cream jalapeño sauce .. clean ambiance and amazing staff... I live in Downtown LA .. but every time I am near this area .. can't let go the chance to eat there !!! Recommended !!!!!

This is one of those spots that when you leave you can't stop thinking about how good the food is. The customer service is very well too. They know how to make you feel welcomed every time you come back.

So Happy a Nicaragüense Restaurant open in the valley! I ordered the Fritanga and everything was delicious. I called in a pick up order 30 mins before closing. The service over the phone and in person was amazing. Thank you so much for opening and putting Nica Food on the map. Restaurant was clean and well put together.

As a Nica I disprove of this Restaurant. I was really looking forward to having a place near me unfortunately the food had no flavor. Even the beans had no flavor at all. Like another fellow Yelper said the meat was sized for a toddler and really expensive . Nica food is really awesome please go to an authentic place you won't be disappointed. Service was good. Ambiance nice music.

My wife and I had dinner here. I got the cerdo with gallo pinto and my wife got the fritanga. Hearty portions, tasty food, and super friendly staff. Will dine here again.

Worst place I've ever eaten, food was no where near worth the price .I paid almost 40 dollars for 9 dollar worth of meat, that meat would only be enough to feed a toddler.on top of that I saw the waitress pick his boogers while he was sitting us. On top of this he kept staring at all the whole time while we ate which made us very uncomfortable the whole time especially since we were their only customers what kind of service was that.

the customer service was exceptional, the place had ample places to sit and eat, and my favorite foods were the baho, the arroz a la valenciana, the nacatamal, the cacao, the fried cheese, and the carne asada. My only complaint is that one day the gallo pinto was great and the next time, not so much. I experiened the same inconsistency with the cabbage salad and the tajadas. Not bad but I could tell the difference. Different cooks perhaps? Overall, I am so excited to have a good Nicaraguan restaurant in the valley!
