The 26 Best Restaurants In Mumbai - Mumbai - The Infatuation

"Trèsind’s skilfully done fine dining tasting menu feels at odds with its location. To get here, you must navigate a service road off a dusty, noisy suburban main street and head deep into the driveway of an office complex, where the restaurant is located. Once inside, you’re rewarded with a modern, 14-course Indian dinner (₹6,000-₹6,500 plus taxes) served in an elegant room with curved blue banquettes, swirling metal mesh lights, and a gleaming bar that spans the room. The menu changes every six months, so there's always a reason to keep heading back. We still can’t stop talking about the Mangalorean ghee roast duck, served alongside a triangle of curry leaf honey-drizzled waffle, and the Rajasthani ghewar sweet made into a savory filigree lid that must be cracked open to reveal a small bowl of chaat—both dishes from the last menu we had." - roshni bajaj sanghvi

We had the chance to try the new menu at Tresind Mumbai and loved the whole experience. The concept is fresh and clever and every dish arrives looking like a little piece of art. What impressed me most was how well thought out the flavours were. Nothing felt forced or complicated for the sake of it. The dishes looked beautiful and actually tasted even better. There is a really fun and interesting take on familiar Indian foods and ingredients and it keeps you curious with every course. The entire experience lasted around three hours and I didn’t feel the time at all. It is definitely something worth experiencing if you enjoy thoughtful food and a bit of theatre on the table.

Beautiful 14 course menu designed by Chef Aman Verma. Some dishes were absolutely mind-blowing and a good riot on the tongue! I wanted to call for the same course multiple times but had to control myself. Some courses like the Khandvi icecream were beyond innovative. But the highlight simply was the Khichdi of India! That dish alone makes a visit to Tresind a must! Imagine apples in your khichdi! Can you ? Anything is possible here. Jabar and Amit were very gracious hosts who patiently took us through every course.

We loved this place so much that we came in for dinner and 2 days later came back for their lunch menu! Everything was phenomenal from communication for our booking to the end of the meal. Such unique flavors - I can’t wait to try their other resturants!

Trèsind is one of those restaurants where you go for the experience as much as the food. The ambience is classy and modern, with dim lighting and elegant décor that sets the mood right away. Service is top-notch—staff are attentive without being pushy, and they explain each dish like it’s part of a story. The food is creative Indian cuisine with a fine-dining twist. Presentation is Instagram-worthy, and the flavors are balanced, though sometimes you feel it’s more about style than portion size. The tasting menu is fun if you want to try a bit of everything, but be prepared—it’s not cheap. Cocktails are inventive, with unique flavors and presentation that match the restaurant’s vibe. Dessert was the highlight for me—beautifully plated and actually tasted as good as it looked. The only downside is the price. This is definitely a special-occasion place, not somewhere you drop in for a casual dinner. Also, if you prefer classic, straightforward Indian food, the fusion style here may not be your thing. Overall, Trèsind is worth visiting if you appreciate creative plating, fine service, and modern takes on Indian flavors—just go in knowing you’re paying for both the food and the experience.

Dining at this restaurant was a genuinely enjoyable experience, with the food clearly being the highlight. From the moment the dishes began to arrive, it was evident that the kitchen focuses on quality ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and balanced flavors rather than unnecessary theatrics. The meal began with the appetizers, which were well-portioned and attractively presented. Each bite was flavorful without being overwhelming, showing careful attention to seasoning. The textures were spot on—crispy where expected, tender where required—and nothing felt rushed or undercooked. The starters did an excellent job of awakening the palate while leaving enough room to appreciate what followed. The main courses were the strongest part of the meal. Proteins were cooked precisely, retaining their natural juiciness and flavor, while accompaniments complemented rather than competed with them. Sauces were rich yet restrained, enhancing the dish without masking the core ingredients. The balance between spice, acidity, and richness was particularly impressive, making each plate feel complete and satisfying. Even simple elements, such as vegetables or grains, were treated with care and attention. The desserts provided a fitting conclusion to the meal. They were indulgent without being overly sweet, offering a pleasant contrast of flavors and textures. Whether it was a creamy component paired with something crisp or a dessert highlighting seasonal ingredients, the finishing touches reflected the same level of precision seen throughout the meal. Overall, the food at this restaurant delivers both comfort and refinement. It strikes a fine balance between familiar flavors and subtle creativity, making it appealing to a wide range of diners. With consistent execution and well-judged flavors across courses, this is a place worth revisiting for anyone who values thoughtfully prepared, high-quality food.

A rare culinary journey that is authentic and not pretentious. Their interpretations of favourite Indian dishes was mind-blowing. The Khichdi of India was worth the price of admission. The service was simply perfect with each of the staff making sure our experience was beautiful. The ambience needs a bit of work though. Overall completely worth it and must visit.
