We visited Trevor at the Tracks to celebrate our anniversary, and the setting couldn’t have been better. The restaurant is located in a beautifully restored 1894 railway depot, with a cozy indoor-outdoor vibe that adds so much character.
We started with the Brussels sprouts which were crispy, flavorful, and definitely a must-try. The pasta was okay, but the English Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake stole the show. Moist, rich, and perfectly paired with the ice cream. It was unexpectedly amazing. I’d go back just for that.
One disappointment: my husband had spoken to the hostess beforehand, asking if they could surprise me with a crème brûlée and a candle for our anniversary. She said they typically only do that for birthdays but agreed to do something special. Unfortunately, nothing happened. Our server handed us the regular dessert menu and mentioned crème brûlée wasn’t available due to their rotating dessert menu. While we understand things happen, it was a bit disheartening that the message didn’t get passed along.
That said, we still enjoyed, and the dessert made up for it. A little more communication would’ve made it perfect.
